실내 공기질을 고려한 마감자재 선정 프로세스 연구 -공동주택을 중심으로- (A Finish Material Management Process for Indoor Air Quality -Focused on Apartment Buildings-)

  • Indoor air quality has attracted great attention in recent years and thus the importance of managing finishing materials in terms of pollutant source control is being emphasized. Managing the finishing material at the design stage maximizes the efficiency of IAQ control at the following construction stage. However, there are insufficient investigations on the application of a specific finishing material management process, a database management system or a finishing material management process network. As a result, the main purposes of this study comprise comprehensive evaluation of IAQ performance from the selected finishing materials and auxiliary materials, application of the material management system basing on the types and characteristics of toxic substances generated from the indoor finishing materials, investigation of IAQ evaluation standard, and the overall IAQ evaluation method for the design parts. The result of this study will be the basic data to construct DBMS for management of finishing materials with respect to IAQ.

공동주택 적용을 위한 친환경 라멘구조 접합부 개발 (Development of Beam-Column Connection for Green Rhamen Structural Apartment)

  • The composite frame system suggested in this paper consists of steel reinforced concrete beam encased with structural tee and precast concrete column. This system has advantages such as reduction of materials, CO2 emissions and waste. To commercialize the new composite frame system, it is necessary to develop connections that can effectively connect each member. Therefore, a hybrid connection that has steel type connection and reinforced concrete together is utilized to connect easily at the composite frame system. To evaluate the structural performance of the composite frame system, an experimental investigation is presented. In this study, the flexural moment capacity of the composite frame was determined using the strain compatibility approach. The strain compatibility approach can be used to predict the flexural moment capacity at each limit state. As a result, all elements of the beam to column connection are represented to fully interact between each other. The specimens show errors of -1.9% in the yield limit state and 0.9% at the maximum load limit state. Also, testing shows that beam to column connections have characteristics of semi-rigid connection as per Eurocode 3.

소형주택의 친환경건축물 인증기준 개선방향에 관한 연구 -LEED for Homes와의 비교를 중심으로- (A Study on the Improvement of the Green Building Certification Criteria for Detached Houses - Focusing on Comparisons of LEED for Homes -)

  • The purpose of this study is to generate implications for the Green Building Certification System(GBCS) for detached houses, by comparing LEED for homes. Detached houses were added to the GBCS and took an effect this year. They are evaluated by the GBCS under special conditions, because they are designed by small architectural offices with limited budget. In this respect, this paper points out the problems of the GBCS for these detached houses and highlights some areas to be improved. As the first step, the definition of sustainable building and the design method of green building were investigated. By doing so, this study acknowledges the potential analysis methods in making valid comparisons with LEED for homes. Secondly, this study makes a comparative analysis of the GBCS for detached houses and the GBCS for apartment houses, LEED for New Construction(NC) and LEED for houses. Lastly, it identifies the problems and suggests better ways to improve the GBCS for detached houses through integrated analysis of the GBCS and LEED.

Establishment of Service Life of Educational Facilities - Focused on the rooftop waterproofing and floor finishing -

  • Building has been deteriorated gradually owing to geographic, physical complex and other factors. School living condition has a key role to improve the learning ability, life attitude and qualifications to adopt to social life. Therefore, it is important for school environment to keep the living condition. Repair time and scope of school facilities are required to maintain the function and performance to plan the long term repair. But there are little information about the school maintenance such as repair time and function. In this paper, it aimed at providing the service life to suggest the repair time and scope in the roof-proofing and floor finishing which used the three estimation method in probabilistic approach. The service life has a key role to decide the repair time and to make the plan for the repair maintenance. Results of this study are as follows ; First, the 1st repair time were taken through three methods in probabilistic and deterministic functions to eliminate the estimation bias. Second, the service life is suggested 36 years of an elementary school, 34 years of a middle school and 41 years of a high school. Third, the service life of a floor finishing is 43 years of an elementary, 39 years of a middle school and 41 years of a high school. The above study could not include the detailed information about the materials and repair works. Therefore it needs a further study to reflect the detailed information and to make a repair strategy.

공동주택 건축내장재의 TVOC 방출량에 관한 예측모델 연구 (A Study on Predication model for TVOC Emissions of Finishing material in Apartment House)

  • While cognition about an environment pollution becomes important recently, the intense pollution measures about an indoor air environment is required. In the case of building indoor environment, over 80% of modem people is living in building and these days an interest of building interior materials which becomes a reason for indoor environmental pollution in public house, office, is increasing. An experimental measurement method of this study is as follows. (1) American EPA TO-17, ASTMD5116-97, measurement method in VOCs experiment of Japanese closet industrial association (2) 2.4-DNPH cartridge method in HCHO experiment, based on American EPA TO-11 and measurement method of Japanese closet industrial association (3) standard compound is analyzed by using HPLC after solvent extraction process (4) paint and furniture are selected as measurement objects (5) we also made small chamber to grasp an emission characteristic of HCHO and VOCs and to get an environment-amicable forecast model through it, then we developed the model which can forecast emission rate by chamber experiment.

Green Building Design Strategies for Multiplex Housing

  • Purpose: Energy saving in the built facilities is getting important due to energy crisis. The Korea government has been implemented several energy and green building policies and practices. The both of government and industry also developed green building strategies ant technologies to reduce energy consumption and carbon emission. The purpose of this research is to identify applicable green building strategies and technologies for that can be cost effective and applicable to a multiplex house. Method: This research identified appropriate green building strategies from analysing green building strategies from G-SEED certified apartment projects and popular green building strategies. This study also adopted a survey research method to find out the applicable green building strategies for a multiplex housing. In addition, this research also conduct cost estimating to identify initial cost premium of green building strategies. Results: The research outcomes in this study guide a building owner to know about initial cost premiums of green building strategies and technologies and an architect and contractor to identify appropriate and cost effective green building strategies that can be applicable to a multiplex house.

풍향에 따른 건물군에서의 열환경 변화 (Change of thermal environment in buildings by wind direction)

  • In recent years, the quality of the outdoor thermal environment has come to be regarded as important as that of the indoor thermal environment. Since the outdoor thermal environment is composed of many elements and is affected by many factors, it is not easy to evaluate the impact of each factor separately. Hence, a comprehensive assessment method is required. In order to evaluate the pedestrian level comfort of an outdoor climate, it is necessary to investigate not only wind velocity but also various physical elements, such as temperature, moisture, radiation, etc. Prediction of wind and thermal environment for a large scale buildings is one of the most important targets for research. Wind and thermal change in a city area is a very complicated phenomenon affected by many physical processes. The purpose of this study is to develop a design plan for wind environment at a large Buildings. In this study, we analyze outdoor wind environment and thermal environment on buildings using the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) method. The arrangement of building models is an apartment in Jeonju. These prediction of wind and thermal environment for a large scale buildings is necessary in a plan before a building is built.

친환경 근린주구 인증제도 개발을 위한 국내외 인증제도 비교연구 : 탄소를 중심으로 (A Comparative Research of Assessment System Development for Low Carbon and Sustainable Neighborhood)

  • Recently, as the concern over environmental problem has been serious all over the world, carbon has become a key issue to mitigate the problem. In the field of Architecture, various sustainable assessment systems and LCCO2 assessment strategies have been developed, guiding low carbon building while planning. However, assessment system for low carbon neighborhood, which can be more efficient strategy, is still in the stage of research. In this paper, as a research for low carbon assessment system and planning guideline for neighborhood, scope meeting domestic condition has been set and sustainable assessment system for neighborhood, which is similar to low carbon concept, have been compared. LEED-Neighborhood Development, BREEAM-Communities, CASBEE-Urban Development, and GBCC-Apartment Houses were used for comparison. As a result, it is found that those systems has many differences in judging system, aggregating method, scope of evaluation, and relations with a building assessment system. The concern about carbon is not insufficient yet. Finally, assessment system for low carbon neighborhood, which is not only for establishing the plan, but also for giving guideline at the very first state of the plan, should be developed as fast as passible. With the result of this paper, establishment of assessment criteria and the way to measure quantitative $CO_2$ should be studied forward.

생태학적 조경설계 평가와 아파트 스카이라인의 비교 (Comparisons of the Assessment of Ecological Landscape Design and the Apartment Skylines)

  • 본 연구는 건축고도제한에 의해 생태학적 조경설계는 어떻게 통제되며, 또한 생태학적 조경 설계가 무엇인가를 구명하는 것이다. 따라서 두 가지 다른 단지를 비교하여 건축물 스카이라인이 주변경관과 조화로운 심미적 설계를 가능하게 하는 영향에 관하여 고찰할 수 있다. 이 비교를 통하여 스카이라인 통제가 아파트단지 계획과 설계에서 생태학적 조경설계에 영향을 주는가를 검증하게 될 것이며, 스카이라인이 통제된 아파트단지가 조경시설 설계에 있어서 전체적, 역동적, 반응적, 직관적 접근을 할 때 상대적으로 우선성을 표출할 수 있을 것이다. 아파트단지 계획·설계에 있어 건물고도제한이 적절하게 검토되어 스카이라인의 통제를 더 강하게 할수록 아파트단지에서 만들어진 조경환경의 특성이 강조되고 강화한 경관이 더 조화롭게 된다는 점에서 경관에 유용하고 편익이 있다. 생태학적 조경설계의 평가사항은 자기 지속적, 자연적·문화적 정체성, 개연적 외관, 생태학적 접근으로 이뤄진다는 전제 아래 세부사항 18개 항목을 표출하였다. 또한 스카이라인 통제는 자연적 경관을 보전하고 수목이 단지의 안팎으로 자연스럽게 펼쳐지는 녹지 네트워크와 야생 동물 코리도를 획득하기 위하여 독특한 경관을 설계하고 개성적인 것으로 도출하여 조화로운 심미성을 이룩하는데 유용하다는 것을 계량적으로 표출하였다. 아파트단지의 경관에서 의미 있는 것은 다양한 접근으로 설계되고 건물 스카이라인 통제방법을 강화함으로써 관리되는 스카이라인의 실루엣이 다양하고 개성적 형태를 표출한다는 것을 보여준다. 결과적으로 스카이라인의 영향과 생태학적 조경설계가 계량적 요소에 의해 상대적으로 비교될 수 있으며, 생태학적 조경설계의 평가시설지표는 보다 세분화됨으로써 전체적인 설계요소의 강도에 영향을 줄 수 있다.

주거용건물의 바닥복사 난방방식에 대한 실태조사 연구 (Research on the actual condition of 'Under Floor Radiant Heating for Apartment Housing')

  • The research analyzes the arrangement of boiler and hot water header, the method of radiator pipe setting, hot water supply control, hourly heating situation of each room for underfloor radiant heating systems in Korea and suggests an alternative to improve to efficient heating method. One of the best options for install position of hot water distributor is under kitchen sink which is center point of all rooms, according to previous research of the energy saving strategies. When the radiator pipes are arranged to each individual room instead of bedrooms through livingroom and kitchen, it has energy saving effects. For rooms without occupancy according to a time period, hot water supply method should be intermittent heating rather than continuous heating. For this intermittent heating method, individual control of hot water supply is more practical, and it can lead to massive energy savings. The intermittent heating system has time-lag, so it is more effective in energy saving with mild and comfort condition if the spaces are preheated by automatic control equipment prior to required time.
