친환경농산물 RFID 시스템의 외부변수들이 지각된 가치 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향 : 확장된 TAM 모델을 적용하여 (Effects of the External Variables of the RFID System for Eco-friendly Agricultural Products on Perceived Value and Behavioral Intention : Applying an Expanded TAM)

  • 본 연구에서는 친환경농산물 이력추적시스템(RFID)의 외부변수인 신뢰성, 안전성, 효율성과 혁신성은 기술수용모델(TAM)인 용이성과 유용성, 지각된 가치 및 행동의도의 관계에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 연구하고자 한다. 실증분석 대상자는 서울 경기 지역에 거주하고, 백화점, 대형마트와 친환경농산물 전문매장 등등에서 친환경농산물을 구매한 경험이 있는 20세 이상의 일반 소비자를 대상으로 2012년 11월 10일부터 2012년 11월 23일까지 14일간 본 조사를 위하여 설문지 총 350부를 배포하여 결과 응답치의 편중성향이 너무 강하거나 결측 값이 발견된 일부 설문지를 제외하고, 총 305부(87.1%)의 설문자료를 최종 통계 분석 자료로 사용하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과를 보면 친환경농산물 이력추적시스템의 외부변수인 신뢰성, 안전성, 효율성과 혁신성은 기술수용모형의 용이성과 유용성에 미치는 정도를 고찰하고, 기술수용모형의 용이성과 유용성, 소비자들의 지각된 가치와 행동의도와의 인과관계를 검증함으로써 향후 친환경농산물 이력추적시스템과 관련된 초기적인 연구에 이론적 토대로 활용될 가치는 충분할 것으로 판단 할 수 있겠다. 따라서 이러한 심층 분석 결과를 바탕으로 생산자가 재배하는 친환경농산물이 생산부터 소비까지 모든 과정을 알 수 있기 때문에 투명하게 농산물을 재배해서 소비자들에게 안전하게 제공할 수 있고, 사고발생시 구현한 이력관리시스템을 이용하여 신속하고, 객관적인 원인규명이 가능하고, 소비자에게 높은 신뢰성을 가진 친환경농산물 이력정보를 제공함으로써 긍정적인 태도를 유도 할 수 있으며, 소비자들에게는 알 권리와 선택권 보장 및 부적합한 친환경농산물에 대한 리콜 등 체계적 관리를 통하여 안전한 친환경농산물을 제공받을 수 있다.

The Moderating Effects of Retailers' Green Practices upon Customer Environmental Values and Organic Food Purchasing Intention

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to understand how retailers' green practices influence customer environmental values and their organic food purchasing intention. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected from randomly intercepting retail shoppers (n=719) departing from 33 retail stores selling organic food products located in Florida, USA. U.S. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, CFA and Hierarchical regression analyses. Results - Results documented that customer environmental values (social-altruistic values and biospheric values) were determinants of organic food purchasing intention. Retailers' green practices representing'green self-governance'were found to significantly enhance the effects of customer environmental values upon organic food purchasing intention. Conclusions - This study successfully demonstrated that customers'willingness to purchase eco-friendly products can be greatly increased when having a positive perceptions toward retailers'green practices such as environmental friendly waste management, environmental improvement of packaging, taking back packaging and recovery of the company's end-of-life products.

Mechanical Properties of Styrene-Butadiene Rubber Reinforced with Silica by in situ Tetraethoxysilane Hydrolysis over Acid Catalyst

  • Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), reinforced with different contents of silica (with or without modification using silane coupling agents), was prepared by a modified sol-gel method involving hydrolyzation of tetraethoxysilane over an acid catalyst. The structures of the as-prepared samples were characterized using various techniques, such as scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis. The mechanical properties of the as-prepared samples were discussed in detail. The results revealed an increasing of the storage modulus (G') with increase in the silica content without modification. In contrast, G' decreased after modification using silane coupling agents, indicating a reduction in the silica-silica interaction and improved dispersion of silica in the SBR matrix. Both tensile stress and hardness increased with increase in the silica content (with modification) in the SBR matrix, albeit with low values compared to the samples with un-modified silica, except for the case of silica modified using (3-glycidyloxypropyl) trimethoxysilane (GPTS). The latter observation can be attributed to the special structure of GPTS and the effort of oxygen atom lone-pair.

윤리적 소비와 소비가치의 관계에 대한 소비자 인식 변화: 소셜 빅데이터를 활용한 윤리적 소비와 소비가치의 키워드 변화 분석을 중심으로 (A Study on the Changes in Consumer Perceptions of the Relationship between Ethical Consumption and Consumption Value: Focusing on Analyzing Ethical Consumption and Consumption Value Keyword Changes Using Big Data)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze big data to identify the sub-dimensions of ethical consumption, as well as the consumption value associated with ethical consumption that changes over time. For this study, data were collected from Naver and Daum using the keyword 'ethical consumption' and frequency and matrix data were extracted through Textom, for the period January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2018. In addition, a two-way mode network analysis was conducted using the UCINET 6.0 program and visualized using the NetDraw function. The results of text mining show increasing keyword frequency year-on-year, indicating that interest in ethical consumption has grown. The sub-dimensions derived for 2014 and 2015 are fair trade, ethical consumption, eco-friendly products, and cooperatives and for 2016 are fair trade, ethical consumption, eco-friendly products and animal welfare. The results of deriving consumption value keywords were classified as emotional value, social value, functional value and conditional value. The influence of functional value was found to be growing over time. Through network analysis, the relationship between the sub-dimensions of ethical consumption and consumption values derived each year from 2014 to 2018 showed a significantly strong correlation between eco-friendly product consumption and emotional value, social value, functional value and conditional value.

산지습지의 친환경복원이 저서성 대형무척추동물 분포에 미치는 영향 (Effect of eco-friendly restoration on the community characteristics of benthic macroinvertebrates in forested bog)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the influence of eco-friendly restoration in forested bog on the structure of benthic macroinvertebrate community. The benthic macroinvertebrates collected from the surveyed sites were composed of 1,071 individuals, 60 species, 40 families, 13 orders, 6 classes and 5 phyla. At the control and Site 3(small dam), the number of species and individuals were larger than that of other sites, and EPT group ratio was same as well. Considered by index, the dominance index (DI) was found the highest at the biotope area. The diversity index (H') and richness index (RI) were the highest at the control and Site 3. In addition, the ecological score of benthic macroinvertebrate (ESB) showed the highest at site 3, while the lowest at biotope area. The stability and recovery of benthic macrointebrates showed different according to restoration types at forested bog. After restoration project, the benthic macroinvertebrates were observed to get recovery at Site 3, and to have the highest communities stability at control and Site 3. At biotope areas (Site 4, Site 5 and Site 6) communities stability were the lowest, but showed different community stability values according to the presence of water. It is confirmed that the eco-friendly restoration projects indeed provided the better environment for the inhabitation of benthic macroinvertebrate community. The change of community index depending on the restoration projects suggests that the eco-friendly restoration can provide a more suitable environment for benthic macroinvertebrate ecosystem that prefers the stream environment.

Differential Resistance of Radish Cultivars against Bacterial Soft Rot Caused by Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum

  • Bacterial soft rot caused by Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum (Pcc) is one of the most severe diseases in radish cultivation. To control this plant disease, the most effective method has been known to cultivate resistant cultivars. Previously, we developed an efficient bioassay method for investigating resistance levels with 21 resistant and moderately resistant cultivars of radish against a strain Pcc KACC 10421. In this study, our research expanded to investigate the resistance of radish cultivars against six Pcc strains, KACC 10225, KACC 10421, ATCC 12312, ATCC 15713, LY34, and ECC 301365. To this end, the virulence of the six Pcc strains was determined based on the development of bacterial soft rot in seedlings of four susceptible radish cultivars. The results showed that the Pcc strains exhibited different virulence in the susceptible cultivars. To explore the race differentiation of Pcc strains corresponding to the resistance in radish cultivars, we investigated the occurrence of bacterial soft rot caused by the six Pcc strains on the 21 resistant and moderate resistant cultivars. Our results showed that the average values of the area under the disease progress curve were positively correlated with the virulence of the strains and the number of resistant cultivars decreased as the virulence of Pcc strains increased. Taken together, our results suggest that the resistance to Pcc of the radish cultivars commercialized in Korea is more likely affected by the virulence of Pcc strains rather than by race differentiation of Pcc.

친환경 실내마감재 한지의 도배공정 연구 (A study on the wall finishing process with 「Han-ji」, an eco-friendly material)

  • Interior material covering as the final process of house-building, critically influences not only aesthetic character but also air quality of indoor space. Wall covering today, however, caused a serious social problem because of chemicals contained in the industrial wallpaper and artificial glue. In this context, Korean traditional wall covering of Han-ji can be an alternative model due to it's ecological character. Recently 'Hanok' attracts public attention, since society and people become to appreciate the unique beauty and value of our traditional culture. The values include natural beauty, emotional character, and environment-friendliness. Recognizing this, this paper intended to scrutinize the operating process of Han-ji as an interior finish material. Historical research method was employed, tracing the related articles in old literature and interviewing with the witness of the experienced expert. Thereby, healthier and unique aesthetic indoor environment can be expected to be sustainable along with the rich cultural life of ancestors.

환경친화적 식량생산을 위한 꿀벌의 다원적 가치 (Multi-functionality of honey bees for eco-friendly food production)

  • Current food system has developed with the agricultural innovation to feed the increasing population of the world, but with high costs such as environmental contamination and inequality with low sustainability. Human has developed long history of mutualistic interaction with honey bee. This manuscript describes the multi-functionality of honey bee for food production. Firstly honey bee produces honey, bee pollen, royal jelly and propolis which are rich in functionality. Second honey bee serves as the main pollinator for crop production which is worth for 28% of total crop production values in Korea. Lastly honey bee can be an alternative meat produciton system with lower energy, carbon costs but higher nutritional security. This manuscript described those parts and discussed the multi-functionality of honey bees for eco-friendly food security pursuing lowered environmental cost and carbon-zero strategies in the climate change era.

친환경 재료를 사용한 흑색 지르코니아 세라믹스 제조 (Manufacture of Black Color Zirconia Ceramics Used by Eco-Friendly Materials)

  • The goal of this investigation was to produce a zirconia-family black ceramics that has enhanced functionality and reliability. Color zirconia ceramics have been produced by adding pigments. Pigments cause structural defects within zirconia and result in a drop in physical properties. Using environmentally friendly rice husk, we produced a black zirconia that is free of structural defects. In optimal firing conditions for black zirconia the calcining temperatures of the molding product are changed from $400^{\circ}C$ to $1200^{\circ}C$, and the firing temperatures are changed from $1400^{\circ}C$ to $1600^{\circ}C$. Color of testing the specimens was analyzed using Ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), EDAX (EDX), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analyses were carried out in order to examine impregnation properties and crystal phases. Universial Test Machine (UTM) was used to measure the flexual strength as well as the compressive strength. From experimental results, it was found that in optimal firing conditions the sample was calcined from $1000^{\circ}C$ to $1500^{\circ}C$. Commission internationalde I'Edairage (CIE) values of manufactured black zirconia color were $L^*$ = 29.73, $a^*$ = 0.23, $b^*$ = -2.68. The bending strength was 918 MPa and the compressive strength was 2676 MPa. These strength values are similar to typical strength values of zirconia, which confirms that carbon impregnation did not influence physical properties.

Eco-friendly Self-cooling System of Porous Onggi Ceramic Plate by Evaporation of Absorbed Water

  • Porous ceramic plates were prepared from Onggi clay and bamboo charcoal powder at 1100 and $1200^{\circ}C$ and their porous properties and water absorption, and the cooling effect of porous plates, were investigated to produce eco-friendly porous ceramics for a self-cooling system that relies on the evaporation of absorbed water. Porous properties were dependent on the particle size of charcoal powder pore forming additive and the firing temperature; properties were also found to be dependent on the total pore volume, average pore size and porosity, which had values of $0.103-0.243cm^3/g$, 0.81 - 2.56 mm and 20.9 - 38.2%, respectively, at $1100^{\circ}C$ and $0.04-0.18cm^3/g$, 0.33 - 2.03 mm and 10.8 - 30.9%, respectively, at $1200^{\circ}C$. Cooling temperature difference of flowing air parallel to surface of porous ceramic plates fired with two kinds of charcoal powder at $1100^{\circ}C$ was $3.5-3.6^{\circ}C$ at $26^{\circ}C$ and 60% of relative humidity in a closed box. Cooling temperature difference was dependent on the number of porous plates and the distance between porous plates. A simple and eco-friendly cooling system using porous ceramic plates fired from Onggi clay and charcoal powder was proposed.
