A Lunar observatory not only provides ideas and experiences for space settlements from the Moon to Mars, but also puts the telescope in an optimal position to compete with space telescopes. Earth observation on the Moon's surface has the advantage of no atmospheric scattering or light pollution and is a stable fuel-free observation platform, allowing all longitude and latitude of the Earth to be observed for a month. Observing the entire globe with a single observation instrument, which has never been attempted before, and calculating the global albedo will significantly help predict the weather and climate change. Spectropolarimetric observations can reveal the physical and chemical properties of the Earth's atmosphere, track the global distribution and migration path of aerosols and air pollutants, and can also help detect very small space debris of which the risk has increased recently. In addition, the zodiacal light, which is difficult to observe from Earth, is very easy to observe from the lunar observatory, so it will be an opportunity to reveal the origin of the solar system and take a step closer to understanding the exoplanet system. In conclusion, building and developing a lunar observatory will be a groundbreaking study to become the world's leader that we have never tried before as a first step in expanding human experience and intelligence.
In this paper, I briefly introduce recently terminated, current, and future scientific spacecraft missions for in situ and remote-sensing observations of Earth's and other planetary magnetospheres as of February 2023. The spacecraft introduced here are Geotail, Cluster, Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms / Acceleration, Reconnection, Turbulence, and Electrodynamics of the Moon's Interaction with the Sun (THEMIS / ARTEMIS), Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS), Exploration of energization and Radiation in Geospace (ERG), Cusp Plasma Imaging Detector (CuPID), and EQUilibriUm Lunar-Earth point 6U Spacecraft (EQUULEUS) for recently terminated or currently operated missions for Earth's magnetosphere; Lunar Environment Heliospheric X-ray Imager (LEXI), Gateway, Solar wind Magneto-sphere Ionosphere Link Explorer (SMILE), HelioSwarm, Solar-Terrestrial Observer for the Response of the Magnetosphere (STORM), Geostationary Transfer Orbit Satellite (GTOSat), GEOspace X-ray imager (GEO-X), Plasma Observatory, Magnetospheric Constellation (MagCon), self-Adaptive Magnetic reconnection Explorer (AME), and COnstellation of Radiation BElt Survey (CORBES) approved for launch or proposed for future missions for Earth's magnetosphere; BepiColombo for Mercury and Juno for Jupiter for current missions for planetary magnetospheres; Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) and Europa Clipper for Jupiter, Uranus Orbiter and Probe (UOP) for Uranus, and Neptune Odyssey for Neptune approved for launch or proposed for future missions for planetary magnetospheres. I discuss the recent trend and future direction of spacecraft missions as well as remaining challenges in magnetospheric research. I hope this paper will be a handy guide to the current status and trend of magnetospheric missions.

In satellite operations and space exploration missions, a ranging is one of the most essential technologies to get its navigational information of space probes. Recently, the importance of cross-support between space agencies is increasing for more fine performance of space mission. For cross-support, mutually compatible ranging system between space agencies is recommended. For these reasons, the consultative committee for space data systems (CCSDS) recommends pseudo noise (PN) ranging as a digital standard ranging system. The length of PN sequence in CCSDS standard is proper for deep space missions, however, it is too long to use for ranging in near earth missions. In this paper, we propose Variable Length PN sequence schemes suitable for ranging of near earth satellites, such as low-earth orbit (LEO), medium-earth orbit (MEO) and Geostationary orbit (GEO). Therefore we propose variable length PN sequence ranging system including CCSDS standard for multiple missions.

Earth acquisition is to solve when earth can be visible from satellite after Sun acquisition during launch and early operation period or on-station satellite anomaly. In this paper, the algorithm and test result of the Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite (COMS) Earth acquisition are presented in case of on-station satellite anomaly status. The algorithms for the calculation of Earth-pointing attitude control parameters including those attitude direction vector, rotation matrix, and maneuver time and duration are based on COMS configuration (Eurostar 3000 bus). The coordinate system uses the reference initial frame. The constraint calculating available time-slot to perform the earth acquisition considers eclipse, angular separation, solar local time, and infra-red earth sensor blinding conditions. The results of Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) are compared with that of the Astrium software to validate the implemented ETRI software.
The sidereal day of a Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite was intended to equal one half of a sidereal day of the Earth. However, the sidereal day of GPS satellites has become unequal to one half of a sidereal day of the Earth. This is fundamentally caused by the non-sphericity of the Earth and the gravity of the Moon. The difference between sidereal days of GPS satellites and the Earth is known as a sidereal shift. The details surrounding sidereal shifts and their origins have yet to be fully understood. We calculated the periodicity of sidereal shifts for GPS satellites using broadcast ephemeris data. To conduct a periodic analysis of the sidereal shift, we employ the Lomb-Scargle periodogram method. It shows that the orbit periods of GPS satellites have small-amplitude perturbations with a 13.6-day period. In addition, we compare the GPS satellite orbit periods with the periodicity of geomagnetic indices and the solar wind parameters to identify the cause of the perturbations. Our results suggest that the solar wind stream might also affect the 13.6-day period of the sidereal shifts.
People grow up and build up most of their character through living in dwelling space and have relax and refresh at home. Creating healthy dwelling space is being considered very important in architectural planning and design for providing comfortable living environment and improving quality of life. One of the properties of the earth is that the earth has a magnetic field associated with it- the Geomagnetic field. The geomagnetic field is produced by a combination of crustal rocks, external electric current systems that surround the earth that surround the earth and currents induced in the outer layers of the earth by magnetic field variations. Human beings have evolved with the background of magnetic field, they are accustomed to living in its presence. Geopathic stress occurs at geopathic zones where the geomagnetic field is disturbed. Geopathic zones exhibit magnetic charges. Geopathic zones are characterized by variations in geomagnetism, for the geomagnetic field is not uniform but exhibits many highly localized distortions, some random, some fairly regular. These occur in geological faults, caves and underground water channel. Many research papers and experiments of the western countries indicates that the geomagnetic field affects the people and living organism in dwellings. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the geomagnetic field and people's response in living space. In this study the Health Hazard of geomagneic field in dwelling are studied through literature survey of related science field.
