AXIOMS FOR THE THEORY OF RANDOM VARIABLE STRUCTURES: AN ELEMENTARY APPROACH

  • The theory of random variable structures was first studied by Ben Yaacov in [2]. Ben Yaacov's axiomatization of the theory of random variable structures used an early result on the completeness theorem for Lukasiewicz's [0, 1]-valued propositional logic. In this paper, we give an elementary approach to axiomatizing the theory of random variable structures. Only well-known results from probability theory are required here.

송명역학과 조선전기역학의 상수위주적 상의관의 특징 (A Brief Study on the characteristics of Image-Meaning theory focused on image in the early days of the Joseon Dynasty and SongMing period)

  • 본고는 조선전기역학과 송명역학 상의관(象義觀)의 상수위주적(象數爲主的) 특징을 고찰함에 목적이 있다. 조선전기역학은 송명역학의 기초 위에 독창적인 상의관을 전개했다. 조선전기역학의 상의관은 크게 두 가지 특징을 갖는다. 하나는 정이(程?)와 양만리(楊萬裏)로 이어지는 의리역학의 상의관에 대한 비판적 계승의 관점이다. 권근의 '인기리이순응지(因其理而順應之)'와 퇴계의 '귀리불귀수(貴理不貴數)'는 '이의리위주(以義理爲主)'의 상의관에 관한 대표적인 명제들이다. 이들은 의리중심의 상의관을 주지하면서도, '의불출수외(義不出數外)', '은오지의여승제지법도득명상(隱奧之義與乘除之法都得明詳)' 등 주희역학의 겸치상의(兼治象義) 상의관도 적극 수용한다. 요컨대, 이들 상의관은 의리위주(義理爲主)의 입장에서 겸치상의(兼治象義)를 천명함에 의의가 있다. 다른 하나는 진단(陳?)과 소옹(邵雍)으로 이어지는 도서역학의 상의관과 정주의 상수계열 후학에 대한 적극적 계승과 창조적 변용이다. 이이는 철학적 관점에서 '리(理) 기(氣) 물(物)의 동시적 발생'을 주장하였고, 이는 역학철학에서 '리(理) 상(象) 수(數)의 불가분리성(不可分離性)'의 상의관으로 나타났다. 이는 수적 배열로 우주의 정합적 도식을 설명하려했던 도서학적 전통이다. 이러한 도서학적 전통 속에서, 장현광은 '이득수이위체(理得數而爲體)'와 '역리불외수(易理不外數)' 명제를 제기한다. 이들은 소옹의 수학적 역학을 적극 계승하여 이수위주(以數爲主)의 상의관(象義觀)을 천명하고 있다. 조호익(曹好益)은 도서학적 전통에서 벗어나 "주역"경전 해석에 집중하면서 이상위주(以象爲主)의 상의관(象義觀)을 전개한다. 그는 '불외호상(不外乎象)', '상개구의(象皆具義)', '취상무상(取象無常)' 등 이상위주(以象爲主)의 상의관(象義觀)을 제기하면서 이를 근거로 다양한 상수역학적 해석틀을 창안했다. 요컨대, 조선전기역학의 상의관은 전대의 상의관(象義觀)을 상(象) 수(數), 상(象) 리(理)(의(義)), 상(象) 기(氣), 수(數) 리(理), 수(數) 상(象) 의(義), 상(象) 수(數) 리(理) 기(氣) 등 다양한 논의로 발전시켰다. 그 논의는 이겸치상의(以兼治象義), 이수상위주(以數象爲主)를 중심으로 전개되었다.

  • 이 논문은 건설공사 과정에서 불확실성과 위험성이 비교적 높은 토공사, 지정공사 및 기초공사에서 발생할 수 있는 리스크인자의 중요도 산정에 관한 것이다. 이 연구는 리스크 $식별\cdot분석\cdot대응$으로 이루어지는 리스크관리 3단계 중 리스크 식별과 분석단계를 중심으로 연구를 진행하였다. 리스크 식별은 기존의 건설공사 작업분류체계를 참고하여 대상 공종을 $공통\cdot토공사\cdot지정$ 및 기초공사로 구분하여 초기 건설공사의 리스크 분류체계를 제시하였다. 리스크 분석은 리스크분류체계를 바탕으로 퍼지이론에 기반하여 실시하였다. 리스크인자의 중요도는 AHP기법에 의한 상대적 중요도와 퍼지척도로부터 구한 리스크인자들 사이의 절대적 중요도를 고려하여 산정하였으며 리스크 인자의 최종적인 중요도는 Sugeno $\lambda$-퍼지척도를 사용하여 구하였다.

도서선택론의 변증법적 연구 (A Dialectical Study of the Book Selection Theory)

  • The purpose of this study is to promote understanding of the book selection theory by researching dialectically of its development process centering on the BSTv(value theory) and BSTd(demand theory). The results of this study are summarized as follows 1. In the period of enlightenment and education, the book selection theory of public libraries was the thesis state of BSTv(d). 2. Antithesis state of BSTv(d), that is, BSTd was raised to real central theory of book selection in the early 20th century. 3. In the 1930-40's, BSTv and BSTd were transformed into balance state or coexistence relations(BSTb $[v(d){\cdot}d(v)$]. 4. After World War II, BSTn(library needs theory) and BSTo(library objective theory) were evoked, and opposed to the existing selection theories. Now, they are developing into BSTbl$[n(d)\cdot\;o(v)\;or\;n(d){\cdot}v(o)]$.

A Systematic Review on the Application of the Theory of Information Worlds

  • Previous studies have found that the use or development of theory in library and information science (LIS) research is comparatively low and may be trending downward. LIS has also been criticized for relying on theories imported from other disciplines rather than applying or developing theories from within. The theory of information worlds, a social information behavior theory originally introduced in 2008, represents a newer LIS theory whose level of adoption is understudied. This study features a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed research articles which cited or used the theory of information worlds from 2008 to early 2022 to identify trends related to levels of theory use, publication venues, author affiliations, countries, and collaborations, as well as research methods, topics, and populations. Findings suggest that both awareness and use of the theory of information worlds are positively trending, though at slower rates for higher levels of theory use, such as full applications of the theory to guide the collection and analysis of empirical data. The theory has also been used by researchers from around the world and across disciplines, most often with mixed and qualitative methods. While the growth of a new LIS theory is promising, the authors echo calls for increased use and development of the theory of information worlds, and other LIS theories more broadly, and as more interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • This study explored the contents of practical knowledge about educational planning in early childhood curriculum as constructed by kindergarten teachers at early career stages and then developed a collaborative model of educational planning. Subjects were 6 teachers at early career stages. Using the ethnographic method, data were collected by in-depth interviews. Research outcomes were : (1) teachers specifically worked on 'difficulties in adapting to the teaching job', 'age of children that the teacher cares for', 'integration of theory and practice', and 'variety of actual teaching situations.' (2) A model for collaborative educational planning was constructed on the basis of review of the literature on teachers' knowledge, educational planning for early childhood curriculum, and learning of community.

  • The Theory of Meridian can be classified into early form of pre- and present form of after-. The representative early form of meridian is Eleven Meridians in Mawangdui scrolls(馬王堆帛書) which use Six Qi Diagnosis(六氣辨證). because it did not adopt Visceral Pattern Identification(臟腑辨證). The present form of meridian is Twelve Meridians of . It has developed to investigate relations between Visceral and disease with Five Phase Theory. Analyzing the name of the Six Meridians in the Shanghanlun(傷寒論)On Cold Damage, there are no hands, feet and visceral signs. and it is almost identical to Eleven Meridians in Mawangdui scrolls. According to , Eleven Meridians use only Six Foot Meridians(足六經) to classify diseases. This fact was applied identically to the Six Meridians in the Shanghanlun. Therefore many doctors, especially Hanzhihe(韓祗和) and Zhangzhicong(張志聰) mentioned that "I have never seen a book on Shanghanlun discuss about Hand Meridians(手經)."

The Limit of Gene-Culture Co-evolutionary Theory

  • The theories of cultural evolution hold subtly or clearly different stances about definition of culture, pattern of cultural evolution, biases that affect cultural evolution, and relationship between culture and organism. However, the cultural evolution theories have a common problem to solve: As the evolutionary theory of life tries to explain the early steps and the origin of life, the cultural evolution theories also must explain the early steps of the cultural evolution and the role of the human capability that makes cultural evolution possible. Therefore, explanations of the human's unique traits including the cultural ability are related to determine which one is the most plausible among many cultural evolution theories. Theories that tried to explain human uniqueness commonly depict the coevolution of gene (organism) and culture. We will explicitly call the niche construction theory and the dual inheritance theory the 'gene-culture co-evolutionary theory'. In these theories, the most important concept is the 'concept of positive feedback'. In this paper, we distinguish between core positive feedback and marginal positive feedback, according to whether the trait that the concept of positive feedback explains is the trait of human uniqueness. Both types of positive feedback effectively explain the generality of human uniqueness and the diversity of human traits driven by cultural groups. However, this positive feedback requires an end, in contrast to negative feedback which can be continued in order to maintain homeostasis. We argue that the co-evolutionary process in the gene-culture co-evolutionary theories include only the positive feedback, not covering the cultural evolution after the positive feedback. This thesis strives to define the coevolution concept more comprehensively by suggesting the potential relationships between gene and culture after the positive feedback.

  • The set concept has long been recognized as important for organizing traditional mathematics. Although 'to understand mathematical structure' is an important educational purpose, we think that leaching the abstract set theory in the 7th grade is too early. In this paper, we reviewed the set theory in the secondary school and we made some proposals such like that we must accept the term 'set' as 'collection' in 7th grade.

  • Complementaity problem theory developed by Lemke [10], Cottle and Dantzig [8] and others in the early 1960s and thereafter, has numerous applications in diverse fields of mathematical and engineering sciences. And it is closely related to variational inquality theory and fixed point theory. Recently, fixed point methods for the solving of nonlinear complementarity problems were considered by Noor et al. [11, 12]. Also complementarity problems related to variational inequality problems were investigated by Chang [1], Cottle [7] and others.
