일본의 학교도서관 발전에 미치는 문고운동의 영향 (The Impact of the Bunko Movement on School Library in Japan)

  • 본 논문은 일본사회의 어린이 독서운동의 핵심인 문고운동을 고찰하고, 그것이 학교도서관에 미친 영향을 중점적으로 분석하였다. 어린이 독서운동과 학교도서관의 관계를 조사하기 위하여 두 가지 내용을 연구하였다. 하나는 일본의 정부가 주도하는 학교도서관, 어린이 독서활동과 관련된 정책이고 다른 하나는 시민이 주도한 문고운동이다. 문고운동은 1960년대에 어린이 독서운동으로 시작하여 공공도서관 설립운동으로 발전하였고, 1990년대에는 학교도서관 활성화 운동에 참가하였다. 이 두 내용은 학교도서관을 교수-학습센터로서 보다 주로 어린이의 독서환경으로 강조하고 있다는 점에서 서로 밀접하게 관련되어 있다. 학교도서관을 독서시설로 이해하는 경향은 교과과정의 전개를 지원한다는 학교도서관 전문성의 확립을 저해하고 있다.

유아의 또래 상호작용이 언어·인지능력을 매개로 자기통제력에 미치는 종단적 영향: 성별의 차이를 중심으로 (The Longitudinal Effects of Preschoolers' Peer Interaction on Self-Control with Linguistic and Cognitive Abilities as Mediators: Focusing on Gender Differences)

  • The study examined the longitudinal relations of preschool children's peer interaction, linguistic and cognitive abilities, and self-control, while taking into account gender differences. The study was conducted with 671 preschoolers from the $5^{th}$, $6^{th}$, and $7^{th}$ wave of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Study (KCYPS). Data were analyzed by means of basic descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, and structural equation modeling analysis. Bootstrapping method was also used to determine the significance of indirect effects. The analysis were conducted to find the longitudinal effects of peer interaction at the age of 4 on their self-control at the age of 6, and the mediating effects of linguistics and cognitive abilities at the age of 5 on its associations. The results indicated gender differences among the variables. According to multi-group analysis, there was a significant influence of 4 years' peer interaction on subsequent 5 years' linguistic and cognitive abilities but also on 6 years' self-control across time for boys; however, no significant direct effect of peer interaction on self-control was found for girls. Based on the findings of this study, it can be implied that it is necessary to apply different methods for boys and girls to promote self-control from the influence of peer interaction and linguistic and cognitive abilities.

요양시설과 재가의 요양보호사 직무비교 (Comparison of Frequency and Difficulty of Care Helper Jobs in Long Term Care Facilities and Client Homes)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to identify differences of duties, tasks, and task elements of care helpers between long term care (LTC) facilities and client's home (CH), and to provide data for the development of educational programs and policies. Methods: This study was a descriptive investigation; the subjects of the study were 418 care helpers. Duties, tasks, and task elements were measured using the framework proposed by Shin et al. (2012). Data were analyzed by t-test using PASW 18.0. Results: All of the jobs were statistically significant differences between LTC and CH. Dietary assistance and Daily work assistance were more frequently in CH, and the frequency of other tasks was higher in LTC than CH. Tasks with higher-reported difficulty by those who worked in LTC were as follows: personal hygiene, position change and movement, exercise and activity assistance, safety care, communication assistance, dietary assistance, environment management, daily work assistance, emergency prevention, early detection and speedy reporting, and dementia patient care. Conclusion: These findings suggest that training for care helpers of each facility type will be differentiated. Tasks and task elements reported by care helpers were modified and added to the standard textbook.

수학동화를 활용한 하브루타 수업이 유아의 수학적 문제 해결력 및 자아존중감에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Children's Mathematical Problem Solving Ability and Their Self-Esteem through Havruta Method Using Math Storybooks)

  • This study examines the effect of 5-year-old children's mathematical problem solving ability and their self-esteem based on the Havruta method using math storybooks. The subjects of this study were 40 5-year-old students attending a kindergarten in the Incheon area: 20 students comprised the treatment group and 20 students comprised the control group. An instrument originally created by Ward (1993) but adapted by Hwang (1997) and later modified by Ryu (2003) was used to test the children's mathematical problem solving abilities. A modified version (Kim, 1997) of an instrument developed by Harter and Pike (1984) was used to measure children's self-esteem. Test results were analyzed using SPSS ver. 18.0 for Windows. The findings are as follows. First, the treatment group that had Havruta classes utilizing math story books was found to improve significantly more than the control group in their mathematical problem solving ability. Havruta classes had positive effects on children's mathematical problem solving abilities. Second, there was no significant difference found between the two groups in terms of self-esteem when the children's self-esteem was compared after Havruta classes that utilize math storybooks. It may not be possible to see immediate changes in children's self-esteem because positive parent and teacher feedback had the strongest influence on 5-year-old children's self-esteem, as opposed to self-learning. The results of this study provide meaningful basic data for Havruta classes that focus on questions and discussions through math story books to increase children's mathematical problem solving abilities in the child education field.

  • 최근들어 가전시장에서 융합기술을 이용한 제품 차별화는 소비자로부터 많은 호응을 얻고 있다. 그러나 에어컨 제품은 기계적 운영에서 센서와 플랫폼이 결합된 인공지능을 위한 융합기술이 적용하는 초기단계에 있어서 많은 연구개발이 필요한 분야이다. 본 논문에서는 IR-UWB 기술을 이용한 비접촉 방식의 생체신호(호흡수, 이동) 수집기술을 개발하였다. 생체신호를 이용하여 사용자의 위치에 따라 에어컨 방향을 제어한다. 또한 최적의 수면 환경을 제공하기 위해 수면상태를 모니터링 한다. 감성조명과 ASMR은 안락하고 감성적인 삶의 공간을 제공하기 위해 개발되었다. 그리고 개발된 융합기술을 기반으로 편리하고 안락한 휴식공간을 제공하는 지능형 스마트 에어컨 서비스 플랫폼을 제안하였다.

대학생의 데이트 관계 안정성에 미치는 비교수준과 대안에 대한 비교수준의 영향 및 헌신의 매개효과 검증: 상호의존이론의 적용 (The Influences from Comparison Level and Comparison Level for Alternatives on the Dating Relationship Stability, and Mediating Effects from the Commitment among the College Students: An Application of the Interdependence Theory)

  • This study investigates factors that impact dating relationship stability(DRS) among college students by applying two key concepts from the Interdependence Theory suggested by Kelly & Thibaut (1978; Thibaut & Kelly, 1959), the comparison level(CL) and comparison level for alternatives($CL_{alt}$). This study also examined mediating effects of commitment on the relationship between CL and DRS and $CL_{alt}$ and DRS. The research used a survey data set drawn from 327 college students currently involved in a dating relationship. The collected data set was then analyzed using SPSS software ver. 23.0 and AMOS software ver. 25.0, to produce the descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, and path analysis with bootstrapping. First, both CL and $CL_{alt}$ had a significant direct impact on DRS. In terms of effect size, CL's effect size was comparatively larger than $CL{_{alt}}'s$. The mediating effects from the commitment were evidenced. In the model, the commitment partially mediated the relationships between CL and DRS, and $CL_{alt}$ and DRS. The findings suggest that commitment still plays a key role in dating relationships among college students who currently have a romantic partner. The findings of this study show the possibilities in applying the concepts and theory of interdependence to explain current dating relationships among young adults.

외국인 유학생의 보육실습 경험 분석: 어려움과 가치를 중심으로 (Analyzing the Child Care Practicum Experience of Foreign Students: Exploring Challenges and Benefits)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the experiences of foreign students in childcare practicum, with a specific focus on identifying the difficulties they encountered and the values they derived from their practicum experiences. The aim was to gain insights that can contribute to improving practicum support for these students. Methods: A total of 6 foreign students were selected as participants for this study using snowball sampling. The data collection period spanned from May 2021 to March 2023, during which semi-structured interviews were conducted and qualitatively analyzed. Results: Foreign students faced challenges in securing practicum placements prior to the start of their program. Communication difficulties necessitated the use of interpreters to interact with children. Additionally, documenting information in a language other than their mother tongue posed a challenge. Consequently, there was a need for tailored training support to address the specific needs of foreign students in childcare practicum. Despite these challenges, the students reported rewarding and valuable experiences during their practicum. These experiences included discovering the teaching identity in Korea, learning about desirable practices in the field, recognizing and addressing personal shortcomings, and developing a sense of vocation for the advancement of infant education in their home countries. Conclusion/Implications: If we actively listen to and provide appropriate support for the specific needs of foreign students in their childcare practicum, they have the potential to become excellent childcare teachers who can foster a harmonious and inclusive environment within our multicultural society.

Who has a high level of food literacy, and who does not?: a qualitative study of college students in South Korea

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Unhealthy food choices among young adults are common globally, and the incidence of chronic diseases, such as obesity, is rising. Food literacy (FL) is important for improving and maintaining individual health in a rapidly changing food environment and can form the basis for following a sustainable diet. Therefore, it is essential to improve FL among young adults, particularly college students, who are in the formative years of their lifelong food habits. This study examined the facilitators and barriers of FL and related dietary behavior among college students in South Korea. SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study recruited 25 college students with different residence types using convenience and snowball sampling. In-person, telephone, and video interviews were conducted from March to November 2021. The interview data were analyzed using framework analysis based on the socio-ecological model. RESULTS: At the individual level, prior good experiences with food were the most frequently mentioned facilitator. In contrast, the major barriers were a lack of knowledge, financial hardship, irregular schedules, and academic stress. At the interpersonal level, the influences of family and peers, such as early exposure to healthy eating habits and opportunities to have easy accessibility to farms and farming, are major facilitators, but the lack of a sense of community was the major barrier. At the environmental level, the major barriers were unfavorable food environments at home and in neighborhoods, such as the absence of kitchens in housing and large packaging of produce at markets. CONCLUSIONS: Many factors affected the students' FL and related healthy eating practices. These findings suggest that a campus-based FL program should be developed by reflecting on these facilitators and barriers.

차주머니나방(Eumeta minuscula)에 의한 포도 잎 피해증상 및 몇 가지 약제의 차주머니방에 대한 방제효과 (Leaf Damage Symptom of Grape (Vitis vinifera) by Tea Bagworm (Eumeta minuscula) and Control Efficacies of Several Insecticides against the Eumeta minuscula)

  • 차주머니나방에 의한 포도 잎 피해증상을 2012년 8월 31일 경북 영천시 금호읍에서 국내 최초로 확인하였다. 실내에서 5종 약제[Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki (serotype IIIa, IIIb) WP, chlorantraniliprole 5% GP, methoxyfenozide 21% SC, spinetoram 5% GP, spinosad 10% GP]를 추천농도로 포도 잎 분무처리에 의한 차주머니나방 4령충의 살충율은 spinosad 10% WG와 spinetoram 5% WG에서 각각 65% 및 70%로 높았다. 추천농도 이하에서는 치사율이 감소하였고, 엽 피해면적율은 추천농도의 1/4배 처리에서도 무처리에 비하여 낮았다. 4령 유충에 대해 직접살포법으로 야외에서 효과조사를 한 결과는 spinetoram 5% WG와 spinosad 10% WG 처리의 보정사충율이 각각 63.7, 55.7%였다. 따라서 포도 차주머니나방 방제를 위해 spinetoram과 spinosad의 활용가능성을 나타내었으나, 보다 효과적인 약제선발이 요구되는 바이다.

5 · 16 군정기 지방행정 환경변화와 모범부락조성사업에 대한 고찰 (A Study of the Local Administration Environment Change and 'Mobum Burak Development' in 5 · 16 Military Government Period)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 5 16 군정기 지방행정의 많은 환경변화 속에서 각 도가 추진한 '모범부락조성사업'을 통해 초기 농촌마을개발사업에 대한 모습, 특히 지방행정이 사업의 주체가 되기 위해 추진한 방법을 검토하여 시사점을 찾는데 있다. 군정기(1961~1963) 지방행정은 시군을 기초자치단체로 하는 행정체계 개편, 국가기획제도 도입, 지방세제 개편, 새로운 농촌기구 설립으로 인한 농촌지도 다원화 등의 여러 변화요인을 맞게 되었다. 이러한 환경 속에서 지역의 개발행정 주축은 지방자치단체로 옮겨져 갔고, 각 도는 '보고가는 마을(전북)', '빛나는 마을(충남)'등의 각종 명칭으로 모범부락조성사업을 추진하였다. 또한 내무부는 지역개발의 장기적인 종합계획으로서 군 건설계획의 작성과 추진을 지시하였다. 본 연구는 국가 정책을 중심으로 한 농촌지역개발사에서 도 단위의 지방사를 발굴하고 이를 지방행정 환경변화와 연계하여 분석하였다는 측면에서 향후 관련 연구의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으리라 판단된다.
