  • This paper aims to design and realize android smartphone mobile office ticket reservation system based Spring Framework 2.5 and iBatis 2.3 ORM solution. Currently being used as lightweight container architecture Spring Framework is well-known structure. Also intended to increase the productivity of database techniques are ORM. With the current ORM mapper is widely used in production are iBatis as a tool. Lightweight container architecture in this study, best known as the Spring Framework 2.5 and iBatis 2.3 ORM solution environment based on the android smartphone mobile ticket reservation system implementation after analyzing the mobile webapp development productivity with the objective is to provide guidance.

  • Many rail operators have developed ticketing systems for the use of rail service and the increase of operation revenue by AIM, E-ticket and mobile tickets. Also they have operated rail pass for rail revenue by foreign tourists. Russian railways (RZD) has similar rail systems with CIS countries and sometimes same tickets. A few years ago, RZD introduced and operated E-ticketing system for the increase of passenger's convenience and operation revenue, and CIS countries have adopted and widely used this system. This study will introduce the revenue business by E-ticketing system of RZD, and forecast Russian railroad business in the future.

  • 현재의 전자상거래는 어떠한 물건이나 권리에 대해 거래할 경우 신용카드나 전자 화폐를 통한 유통과, 티켓 소유자의 특정한 권리를 보증하는 증명서 역할을 하는 디지털-티켓[1]에 의한 유통이 이루어지고 있다. 티켓 유통이 실행되면서 디지털-티켓은 악의의 사용자나 공급자로부터 티켓의 복제, 변경, 위조로부터의 보호와 사용자의 인증과 부인방지가 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 디지털-티켓 시스템에 공개키 암호 기술과 토큰을 이용하여 프로토콜을 설계하여 티켓의 정당성과 유효성을 검증하고 신뢰된 티켓검증서버(TVS: Ticket Verification Server)를 통하여 티켓 소유자의 소유권을 검증하는 디지털-티켓 유통 프로토콜을 제안한다. TVS는 인터넷에 연결되어 사용자가 언제든지 자신만이 티켓의 유일한 소유자라는 것을 확인한 수 있고 소유한 티켓의 유효성을 검증할 수 있다.

The Evaluation of CO Concentration Level at Underground Space in Busan Metropolitan City (부산광역시 지하공간의 CO 대기질 평가)

  • With increasing population densities in cities, underground facilities and entertainment locations are proliferating at a rapid pace in efforts to maximize the use of land. The purpose of this study is to evaluate CO concentration level of subway stations having underground platforms in Busan Metropolitan City, from September to November 2000, over seven times. The places of inquiry include Yonsan-dong station, Somyon station, Busan station, Nampo-dong station and Dusil station. The samplings were conducted at three points of each station, i.e. gates, ticket gates, and platforms. The component of CO concentration is the main elements of indoor air quality evaluation. The total concentrations and average concentrations of CO were the higher at the Somyon station. The distribution of CO concentrations at each station, generally was higher at gate than ticket gates and platforms. The I/O ratios(I-platforms, 0-gates) were expressed highly than 1 at the Yonsan-dong station, Busan station, Nampo-dong station and were lower than 1 at the others.

A study on Marketing Strategy and Performance of KTX (KTX의 마케팅 전략과 성과에 관한 연구)

  • With opening of KTX, Korea Railway have carried out a variety of marketing strategies unprecedented, which have brought successful results for dramatical increasing passengers in KTX from 72 thousand passengers per day in 2004 to 85 thousand passengers per day in 2005. These marketing strategies for Korea Rail to use in increasing passengers for KTX are the following: special discount fare system for non-season to penetrate into transport market in the first time, fare system reform considering to customers' willing to pay, new item development by each specific market like contracting transport, YMS(Yield Management System) by stages, Home-ticket-and-e-ticket and tele-marketing service, and wide range covering sales network making it comfortable for users in KTX. This paper discusses these successful marketing strategies and its performance and finally suggests strategic implications for KTX growth.

A Secure Protocol for the Electronic Auction (전자경매를 위한 보안 프로토콜)

  • Recently, Jaiswal et al. proposed a protocol to improve the multi-agent negotiation test-bed which was proposed by Collins et al. Using publish/subscribe system, time-release cryptography and anonymous communication, their protocol gives an improvement on the old one. However, it is shown that the protocol also has some security weaknesses: such as replay data attack and DOS (denial-of-service) attack, anonymity disclosure, collusion between customers and a certain supplier. So proposed protocol reduces DOS attack and avoids replay data attack by providing ticket token and deal sequence number to the supplier. And it is proved that the way that market generates random number to the supplier is better than the supplier do by himself in guaranteeing anonymity. Choice versus Given: Influence of Choice on Effectiveness of Retailers' Sweepstakes Promotion

  • Purpose: This paper aims to investigate the influence of different methods of distributing sweepstakes (i.e., whether consumers choose to enter into the sweepstakes themselves or they are given the sweepstake ticket by default) on the effectiveness of the sweepstakes promotion (i.e., interest in the sweepstakes and intention to participate in the sweepstakes). Research design, data and methodology: The paper verifies this effect through three experimental studies: an online experiment using a sweepstakes promotion scenario at a department store, an online SNS sweepstakes promotion event, and a face-to-face card lottery game. Results: Participants belonging the group that chose sweepstakes tickets by themselves showed higher interest and intention to participate in the sweepstakes than those who were given the sweepstakes ticket by default. Furthermore, the group that chose the sweepstakes card thought it had a higher probability of winning than the group given the sweepstakes card. Conclusions: This paper shows a way to enhance the promotional effect of sweepstakes in the retail stores, without incurring additional costs, by approaching from sweepstakes design from the psychological perspective of the consumer. The study also sheds new light on the effect of sense of control manipulation using choice behavior in the promotional context.

Analysis of air pollution in subway area of Busan Metropolitan City (부산광역시 지하철역 지하공간의 대기오염 특성)

  • The purpose of this study is designed to estimate the air quality of subway stations that have the underground platforms in Pusan Metropolitan City, from September to November 2000, over seven times. The subjects include Yonsan-dong station, Somyon station, Pusan station, Nampo-dong station, and Tushil station. The samplings were conducted at three points of each station, i.e. gate, ticket gates, and platforms. The major materials for analysis were CO, NO, NO$_2$, and $O_3$. The experiment was conducted at 7:00 pm with KIMOTO HS-seven Handy sampler and Tedlar Bag of SKC INC(U.S.A). In order to more fully understand station environments, we also measured temperature at each point. The results showed that $O_3$ average concentration at Yonsan-dong station was higher than others with 38~51 ppb. The average concentration of NO was high at ticket gate and platform at Somyon station(119 ppb, 122 ppb), Nampo-dong station(102 ppb, 100 ppb). These results show that the air pollution of stations with underground shopping malls was higher than others. At Somyon station having a junction station, NO and NO$_2$ concentration level of platform-2(noncrowded) was higher than platform-1(crowded). This is most likely due to the accumulation of air pollutants and inadequate ventilation systems.

  • Since most of recently launched smart devices support NFC(Near Field Communication), RFID applications are tend to be replaced. For instance, previous RFID application areas such as entrance control, mobile e-ticket, electronic payment and et. al are subject to change using NFC. Due to the limitation of passive communication in RFID, it is impossible to cover all security requirements of authentication and authorization mechanism that wide areas of applications demand. Therefore authentication and authorization mechanism based on NFC is very attractive to such applications because active communication methods make it possible to be highly secure in authentication and authorization. In this paper, authors propose a new approach of secure authentication and authorization mechanism using NFC smart devices based on EAP(Extensible Authentication Protocol) and AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) protocols.

  • Currently, it is possible to buy almost anything from books(Amazon.com) to airplane tickets(Travelocity.com) using the world wide web. The purpose of this research is to develop a "clean interface" between design and fabrication facilities for the production of custom machined parts through Internet. The current mechanism for production of prototype parts that can be fabricated using standard machine tools like milling machines, requires a process of part description preparation, bidding, contract award, and finally fabrication and delivery of the part. This is a substantially more complex process than buying a book or airplane ticket. In this paper, we try to define the ambiguous part description using XML based data exchange format and to enable e-commerce in this field. The research accomplishments are summarized: 1. Creation of a new format for data exchange of machined prototype parts, 2. Development of a prototype system to illustrate how the XML data can be effectively used to conduct e-Commerce for custom machined parts, 3. Testing of the methodology with a number of parts.
