  • IMO에서 구현하고자 하는 e-navigation은 사용자의 요구사항을 중심으로 서비스와 기술의 아키텍쳐를 수립하는 전략이라고 할 수 있으며, 사용자 요구사항을 조사하고 현재의 상황과 요구사항 간의 운영적, 기술적, 규정적, 교육훈련 측면에서 격차를 식별하여 인간공학적 연계성을 분석하였다. e-navigation에서는 사용자 중심의 환경 구축을 위해 관련 장비들에 대해 사용자 입장에서의 평가의 필요성을 강조하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 항해장비의 사용성 평가 방법을 제안하고자 한다.

  • Maritime back-up navigation system in port approach requires a horizontal accuracy of 10 meters in IALA (International Association of Lighthouse Authorities) recommendations. eLoran which is a best back-up navigation system that satisfies accuracy requirement has poor navigation performance depending signal environments. Especially, noise caused by multipath and electronic devices around eLoran antenna affects navigation performance. In this paper, Ship based Navigation Back-up system using UAV on Interference is designed to satisfy horizontal accuracy requirement. To improve the eLoran signal environment, UAVs are equipped with camera, IMU sensor and eLoran antenna and receivers. This proposed system is designed to receive eLoran signal through UAV-based receiver and control UAV's position and attitude within Landmark around area. The ship-based positioning using eLoran signal, vision and attitude information received from UAV satisfy resilient and robust navigation requirements.

  • 최근 IMO에서 논의되고 있는 E-Navigation (E-Nav)에 있어서 해상업무 서비스의 개발은 향후 선박항해 및 통신분야의 기술개발 방향을 결정지우는 요소이다. 본고에서는 해상업무용 서비스 개발과 이에 따른 기준모델 설계 방안을 제안한다. 서비스 도출에 있어서는 현재의 해상안전/보안 및 환경보호를 위한 선박업무를 충분히 고려하고 이용자 중심적인 기준모델의 설계방향을 제시하고자 한다. 제안된 기준모델은 향후 IT 기술의 발전에 따른 신기술의 도입을 유연하게 수용할 수 있도록 설계한다.

Justification on engine information in maritime service portfolio for effective implementation of e-Navigation

  • This paper proposes to include engine information in Maritime Service Portfolio (MSP) for effective implementation of e-Navigation. Even though engine information is one of most important element to e-Navigation, MSP consists of mainly about navigation and communication information not included engine information. Furthermore, in reality, engine information sent from ship side such as mainly noon report and Planned Maintenance System (PMS) is too limited to make e-Navigation possibly. Therefore, Remote diagnostic structure receiving and sending data of engine information must be included in MSP for implementation of e-Navigation. Also, it has to be designed, and developed by Software Quality Assurance (SQA).

  • 국제수로기구는 항해안전과 수로정보 활용 증진을 위해 S-57 표준을 한계점을 개선하고 최신 GIS 표준을 반영하여 S-100 표준을 개발한 바 있다. 해사안전과 관련된 각 국제기구와 표준그룹에서는 S-100 표준을 기반으로 다양한 수로데이터 제품표준(S-10X) 개발을 논의 중에 있으며 가시적인 결과를 도출하고 있으므로, 이를 기반으로 하는 차세대 ECDIS에서는 기존의 자료 구조와 주요 기능의 변경이 예상되고 있다. 한편, 국제해사기구에서 추진하고 있는 e-Navigation 전략에서 e-Nav 정보표준(CMDS) 개발 시작점으로 S-100이 선정됨에 따라, S-100의 핵심 개념이 e-Nav 정보엔진 설계에 반영될 것으로 예상되므로, 본 연구에서는 S-10X 사례 분석을 통한 e-Navigation 정보엔진 구조를 설계하고자 하였다. 현행 전자해도 시스템 구조를 분석하여 주요 특징을 정리 하였으며, 각 국제기구에서 논의하고 있는 S-10X 표준 내역을 분석하여 e-Navigation 정보엔진에서 고려되어야 하는 자료의 유형과 종류를 벡터형 데이터, 그리드형 데이터, TIN형 데이터, 이미지형 데이터로 정리 하였고, 이를 토대로 e-Navigation 정보엔진 구조설계안을 도출하였다.

  • IHO has established S-100 Standard profiled from ISO 19100 GIS standards for standardization and improvement of hydrographic data and are developing S-10X Standards. IMO is implementing the e-Navigation strategy for maritime safety and marine environment protection and has established the CMDS as information standard framework which will be developed from the S-100 standard. The development domain of e-Navigation can be divided into onboard, communication network, onshore and VTS is a core actor in onshore system. In this study, we analyzed the effects of S-100 standard development on VTS through e-Navigation strategy of IMO and suggested the cooperation between hydrographic fields and VTS fields under e-Navigation strategy.

  • The e-navigation in IMO(International Maritime Organization) has been developed as a strategy for user oriented service followed by HEAP(Human Element Analysing Process) to assess the solutions in view of human ergonomics. Although IMO already had an interim guideline for human element assessment, it did not include appropriate human elements for user-oriented assessment, therefore there should be a need for revising the human elements of current guideline for ergonomic assessment of e-navigation. We have developed user-oriented human element checklist, threat elements caused by human external condition and error elements originated by human itself in line with the e-navigation development concept of user-based approach.

  • To achieve software quality and human-centred design for electronic ship navigation called e-navigation, an international guideline of software quality assurance and human-centred design was approved in 2015. Usability is a common goal of both software quality assurance and human-centred design as developing e-navigation system and software developments. Therefore, research is needed to evaluate the usability of e-navigation systems and software such as metrics that can use usability testing. This paper derives effectiveness metrics for e-Navigation usability testing based on international standards. The research method is to analyses and compares the effectiveness measurement and metrics in ISO 9241-11 for human-centered design and ISO/IEC 25022 and 25023 for software quality to find out measurements and metrics being defined commonly. The derived metrics are applied to Electronic Chart Display and Information System as a case study based on performance standard.
