This study is intended to examine the common features of costume images in science-fiction (SF) movies that deal with current socio-cultural situations by examining their themes and tones about the future it can be generally concluded that costume images of SF movies are divided into two patterns : one inheriting traditional styles constructed on linear progress and the other based on dismantiling the tradition. this analysis is made through the research of actual cinematic contexts on the common features of multiple styles shaping the two patterns of costume images. The results can be summarized as the following: The former is related with the future built up on the basis of belief in reasonal progress rooted in the Enlightenment reasonable plan for ideal social order and strong faith in uniformity. So It shows functional uniformity disregarding wasteful competitiveness in consumption and luxuriousness and clothing that has the aesthetic value of purity without emphasizing human body or sensuality are presented. On the other hand SF movies which show the uncertain costume image as the meaning of dismantling of tradition take up a rather critical view of assumption that society can move toward utopian future as it searches future images in the notion of hetero-topia by emphasizing pluralism consequently as for clothing diversity and uncertainty in post-modern style are presented destroying modernistic dichotomy and the assumption of Utopian clothing made in the notion of modern progressivism.

Osteoma is one of the benign tumor that occurs on the bones all over the body. Mostly the simple excision is known to be enough. However, sometimes we encounter the troublesome situation where the osteoma is located in very challenging area, which results in the recurrence. 26 year female presented with the intractable intracranial osteoma. Given the disease entity of the osteoma, the simple excision would be enough or conservative management. But this osteoma turned out to be huge and recurrent in spite of the endoscopic resections, which causes the facial disappearance accompanied by the orbital vertical dystopia. Moreover, the patient's main concern was the pain. We performed the intracranial resection of the whole lesion and reconstructed the skull base and frontal bone as well as the part of the orbital wall. In order to restore the original bony anatomy, the 3D printing model was used based on the titanium mesh. I report this unusual case of the intractable intracranial huge osteoma. This report may be helpful for the other surgeons to make a decision on their similar cases in the future.

In the midfacial fracture, the orbital region presents many additional complication unique to the orbit. Among them are ectropion, entropion, lid ptosis, injury to the lacrimal apparatus, diplopia or the late development of enophthalmos. The residual problem confronting the surgen is usually enophthalmos or diplopia. Enophthalmos becomes cosmetically obvious at 3mm and if more severe it can interfere with vision from obstruction by the orbital rim. In this clinical situation, many patients prefer the simpler intraorbital volume expansion to the more complex orbital osteotomy. In general, except in mild cases of enophthalmos, the procedure of choice is osteotomy and repositioning for zygoma fracture and volume augmentation for blow-out fracture. Late treatment is performed by volume augmentation based on the CT findings behind the axis of the globe. Inferiorly placed grafts elevate the globe, posterior superior grafts move the globe anterior and medially positioned grafts push the globe laterally. In this two cases, the patients who has stable orbitozygomatic rim, the use of calvarial bone grafts more than 3 areas around intraorbital content, we corrected late enophthalmos combined with diplopia. As result, the first patient had 2mm advance in exophthalmometric check with improvement of the diplopia gradually. The second patient had 1.5mm advance with correction of vertical ocular dystopia and cosmetically good results respectively.

Purpose: The inferior orbital wall is the most vulnerable to injury and inadequate reconstruction of inferior orbital fracture result in postoperative complications include enophthalmos, ocular dystopia and diplopia. Although the anatomical reconstruction of the inferior orbital wall is necessary to prevent these complications, the complexity of inferior orbital wall makes it difficult. We fabricated and remodeled the titanium micro-mesh plate for the anatomical reconstruction of inferior orbital wall. Methods: Twenty-nine patients with inferior orbital wall blow-out fracture were operated and twelve of them presented large extensive fracture. We intraoperatively fabricated and remodeled the Titanium-micro mesh to angulated lazy S shape similar to contralateral uninjured orbit. The preoperative and postoperative facial CT scan verified the 3-dimensional and anatomical reconstruction of the fractures. The mean follow-up was 19.7 months and postoperative complications was evaluated. Results: All cases showed the exact anatomical reconstruction, but there were minor complications in two cases. one patient had postoperative diplopia until 3months after surgery and the other patient had persistent enophthalmos (2 mm), but no further surgical correction was required. Conclusion: The comprehensive understanding of orbital convexity is the most important factor for anatomical reconstruction of inferior orbital fracture. We could prevent postoperative complications after inferior orbital wall reconstruction by intraoperative fabrication and anatomical remodeling of Titanium micro-mesh.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the body type and fashion of posthuman in SF movies. The method of this study was to analyze documentaries, internet web site, fashion books and so forth. The results were as follows: The body types of posthuman were expressed as mutation type, prosthetic type, clone type by biological hybrid or renovation and digital type by computer simulation. The mutation type was expressed as reinforcement of masculinity or feminity and reinforcement of body functions. The fashion item was expressed as a black tailored suit, leather jacket, cat suit, whip, black sunglass, garter belt, high heel shoes, short pants, black one piece dress and functional body suit. The prosthetic type was expressed as reinforcement of body functions and reinforcement of masculinity or feminity. The fashion item was expressed as a military item, high-tech power suit and ergonomic armor suit. The clone type was expressed as the plural ego with reinforcement of body functions. The fashion item was expressed as a power shoulder jacket, fake fur coat, vinyl, black see-through look and functional suit. The digital type was expressed as reinforcement of masculinity or feminity and the plural ego with reinforcement of body functions. The fashion item was expressed as a data suit, leather jacket, black over coat, boots, black sun glass, ethnic items and military items. The meanings of posthuman fashion in SF movies were impurity of posthuman, display of superhuman's power by sexuality, metaphor of power and fantasy of superhero in opposition futuristic dystopia. As mentioned above, posthuman body type and fashion in SF movies become the conversational topic in the real world. The fact that we think about utopia and identity of posthuman in the future is of great significance.

The fire incident of KT's Ahyun branch occurred last year indicates that hyper-connected society led by 5G technology would be a dystopia instead of a utopia unless seamless connection of 5G service is well secured. Looking backward on 1999, we could peacefully and happily greet the new millennium by making a great effort to prevent the millennium bugs(Y2K) from causing the catastrophe such as a shut-down of banking system. Likewise, we should make a great effort to keep 5G networks and 5G service continuously working without the disruption of even just a second, which would enable us to avoid facing any catastrophes caused by the disruption of 5G service. As a way to do so, it can be considered that 5G service is designated as universal service because it has the key features of public goods like telephone and high-speed internet services.

The concept of 'utopia' in Korea was formed in the early 20th century. 'There isn't in this world but good world' could be found using science and it was an ideal place for science to realize in the 1900s of Korea. Utopia was emphasized as an ideal world of fantasy in the 1920s. It was an ideological world wherein socialism was realized by a purposeful science. Utopia, conversely, was the history of scientific socialism defined as past example of communism that could not be implemented but was fancied. There were works suggesting that it was a dark dystopia such as Society after 800,000 years written by H.G. Wells or Artificial Worker by Young-hee Pak, but there were implied at the will of utopia.

This study investigates the future world of The Perfect Society (1967), science fiction written by Yunsung Moon that was a very rare science fiction publication in the 1960s. In The Perfect society, the main character Woo Sungoo, who was chosen to survive in a sleeping capsule as a representative of $20^{th}-century$ human beings, wakes in the $22^{nd}$ century where only women remain. He experiences this female utopia and finds that this world still contains as much abnormal antipathy to the others and absolute autocracy as the 20th-century world he remembers even though the future people succeed in overcoming the past problems like famine and pollution. The author warns that science alone without humanistic insight in a unity-oriented society cannot settle the human's fate; rather, it only changes the aspects of human conflict.

This article compared and analyzed the SF films Snowpiercer and Space Sweepers, which embody the imagination of disaster for the future dystopian society. In common, the two films represent the future society as a society with a serious climate crisis and an extremely widening gap between the rich and the poor. Both films use similar narrative strategies: representing a isolated, twisted-willed scientist figure, building a main stage as catastrophic hierarchical capitalist society, and focusing on the conflicts between a dominant group possessing the science-capital-power and a resistant but ordinary subjects. However, there is the different framing on the future society in terms of representing nature, science technology, and human-nonhuman agency. This distinction is shaped by the narrative function of the objects represented by two films.

This essay seeks to answer the question of how best to understand Korean new religious movements (KNRMs). KNRMs have the characteristics of folk religion, ethno-religion, or popular religion. KNRMs are products of the national consciousness promoted by Korean society during the Late Joseon Dynasty at the turning point of modern Yi-Jing Studies. From the perspective of social evolutionary theory of developmental history, during that period, Joseon (Korea), like China, was faced with a double-edged sword consisting of the strength of tradition and the upheaval of modernity. If the strength of tradition depended on the Yi-Jing Studies to promote national enlightenment toward anti-imperialist aims, then it was equally the case that modernity depended on the sense of urgency to guide the people to secure livelihoods and edification regarding anti-feudalism. In this essay, the KNRMs that appeared during this transition period of Yi-Jing Studies will be a significant focus, and the worldview of Daesoon Thought will be the main focus. As one of the central topics, intensive discussion will be dedicated to the issue of the nature of pre-experientialism (先驗主義) which characterized the Great Opening (開闢). The principles of Daesoon Thought have a religious dimension of realistic awareness that guides the people's lives and edifies them. The process of the Great Opening aims to secure an ontological clock that tracks the Great Itineration of the world toward Daesoon Truth. This in turn as a process establishes the epistemological world of the Reordering Works of Heaven and Earth (天地公事) and reaches the axiological boundary of the future world. The links among the Three Realms is characterized by a pre-experientialist line that experiences the space-time nature of the universe as the Great Opening of the Later World (後天) within the framework of Heaven and Earth. Throughout this course, humans look to enjoy the infinite vitality of the universe from within their own finite vitality. Therefore, Daesoon Thought can overcome perceived reality through pre-experientialist channels such as the Great Opening of the Later World and aim for a state of self-awareness such as the Earthly Paradise. This is an attempt to participate and practice in the actual world rather than pursuing a world of transcendental ideas, and therefore, it tends to be proactive in the world rather than exhibit a passive tendency to be worldliness. In conclusion, the truth of Daesoon Thought, which is characterized by the Great Opening of the Later World, contains a future-oriented outlook that longs for a Nextopia full of hope and promise rather than idealistic fancy towards a Utopia or well-founded dread and disdain towards Dystopia.
