In this paper, we proposed a low power algorithm using state transition ready method. The proposed algorithm defined a sleep state, a idle state and a run state for the task. A state transition occurring at the time due to the delay time created in order to reduce the power consumption state in the middle of each inserted into the ready state. The ready state considering a power consumption and a delay time in state transition. A scheduling step of performing the steps in excess of the increasing problems have the delay time is long. The power consumption increased for the operation step increase. A state transition from a sleep state with the longest delay time in operating state occurs when the state is switched by the time delay caused by the increase in operating time reduces the overall power consumption reduced. Experiments [6] were compared with the results of the power consumption. The experimental results [6] is reduced power consumption than the efficiency of the algorithm has been demonstrated.
The sales activity of most of small manufacturing companies is based on orders of buyers. The process of promotion, negotiation, receipt and selection of orders of the manufacturers is closely coupled with the load status of the production lines. The decision on whether to accept an order or not, or the selection of optimal order set among excessive orders is entirely dependent on the schedule of production lines. However, in the real world, since the production scheduling activity is mainly performed by human experts, most of small manufacturers are suffer from being unable to meet due dates, lack of rapid decision on the acceptance of new order. Recently, Internet based Electronic Commerce is recognized as one of the alternatives for strengthening sales power of small and medium companies. However, small and medium manufacturers can't adjust properly to the new environment because they are in short of money, personnel, and technology. To cope with this problem, this paper deals with development of part sales agent coupled with virtual manufacturing in Internet environment that consist of selection agent, advertisement agent, selection agent, negotiation agent, and virtual manufacturing system. This paper develops a time-bounded negotiation mechanism for small and medium manufacturers in agent-based automated negotiation between customers and negotiation agents. Furthermore, to select optimal order set maximized profit, we first formulate the order selection problem with mixed integer programming, but the computation time of IP is not acceptable for real world scale problem. To overcome this problem and dynamic nature of virtual manufacturing, we suggest a genetic algorithm approach, which shows a reasonable computation time for real world case and good incremental problem solving capability.
In astronomy, the amount of data generated using wide-field optical telescope has increased exponentially. However, the fixed-size small-scale computing environment and the complexity of data analysis tools, results in difficulties to process the massive observation data collected. To resolve this problem, we propose a cloud-based automation system for the efficient processing of the enormous data gathered. The proposed system consists of a Workflow Execution Manager which manages various workflow templates and controls the execution of workflows instantiated from theses templates, and an Elastic Resource Manager that dynamically adds/deletes computing resources, according to the amount of data analysis requests. To show the effectiveness of our proposed system, we exhaustively explored a board spectrum of experiments, like elastic resources allocation, system load, etc. Finally, we describe the best practice case of DEEP-SOUTH scheduling system as an example application.

Providing a multimedia service requires efficient network bandwidth allocation scheduling. Typically, transmission of information with bursty characteristics, such as a video data stream, utilizes some type of smoothing technique that reduces the transmission rate fluctuation. While capable of a drastic reduction in the peak transmission rate, even the optimum smoothing algorithm proposed to date, however, is rather inadequate for multi-stream applications that share network bandwidth since such an algorithm has been designed and applied toward handling each independent stream. In this paper, we proposed an efficient bandwidth allocation algorithm that addresses these shortcomings. The proposed bandwidth allocation algorithm is divided into two steps, a static bandwidth allocation and a dynamic bandwidth allocation. In the former case, the peak rate reduction is achieved by maintaining the accumulated data in the user buffer at a high level, whereas the concept of real demand factor is employed to meet the needs of multi-stream bandwidth allocation in the latter case, Finally, the proposed algorithm's performance was verified with ExSpect 6.41, a Petri net simulation tool.
Load distribution is vital to the performance of multipath transport. The task becomes more challenging in real-time multimedia applications (RTMA), which impose stringent delay requirements. Two key issues to be addressed are: 1) How to minimize end-to-end delay and 2) how to alleviate packet reordering that incurs additional recovery time at the receiver. In this paper, we propose sub-packet based multipath load distribution (SPMLD), a new model that splits traffic at the granularity of sub-packet. Our SPMLD model aims to minimize total packet delay by effectively aggregating multiple parallel paths as a single virtual path. First, we formulate the packet splitting over multiple paths as a constrained optimization problem and derive its solution based on progressive approximation method. Second, in the solution, we analyze queuing delay by introducing D/M/1 model and obtain the expression of dynamic packet splitting ratio for each path. Third, in order to describe SPMLD's scheduling policy, we propose two distributed algorithms respectively implemented in the source and destination nodes. We evaluate the performance of SPMLD through extensive simulations in QualNet using real-time H.264 video streaming. Experimental results demonstrate that: SPMLD outperforms previous flow and packet based load distribution models in terms of video peak signal-to-noise ratio, total packet delay, end-to-end delay, and risk of packet reordering. Besides, SPMLD's extra overhead is tiny compared to the input video streaming.

The flight control of re-entry vehicles poses a challenge to conventional gain-scheduled flight controllers due to the widely spread aerodynamic coefficients. In addition, a wide range of uncertainties in disturbances must be accommodated by the control system. This paper presents the design of a roll channel controller for a non-axisymmetric reentry vehicle model using the trajectory linearization control (TLC) method. The dynamic equations of a moving mass system and roll control model are established using the Lagrange method. Nonlinear tracking and decoupling control by trajectory linearization can be viewed as the ideal gain-scheduling controller designed at every point along the flight trajectory. It provides robust stability and performance at all stages of the flight without adjusting controller gains. It is this "plug-and-play" feature that is highly preferred for developing, testing and routine operating of the re-entry vehicles. Although the controller is designed only for nominal aerodynamic coefficients, excellent performance is verified by simulation for wind disturbances and variations from -30% to +30% of the aerodynamic coefficients.

The IEEE 1394 protocol is a de facto standard in multimedia digital home network. It supports several advanced features such as hot plugging, dynamic network reconfiguration, isochronous transmission and so on. Since the IEEE 1394 was adapted in the field of multimedia service with QoS guarantee, back bone network protocol with reel-time digital instrumentation and control sub networks, and physical layer protocol for real-time middleware such as real-time CORBA, the additional real-time features has been required in device driver implementation because of the necessity of the predictability enhancement. To guarantee the real-time features, the device driver of the IEEE 1394 should support the priority based packet processing and also need a isochronous buffer management mechanism to deal with the periodic isochronous communication. In this paper, we proposed a new software architecture of the IEEE 1394 device driver for supporting the real-time characteristics such as priority based packet processing, priority based scheduling and so on.
Recently, most of the embedded system is required not only many functions but also real-time characteristics in purpose. In the hard real-time system, especially, strict deadline of periodic task can affect the performance of the system. In this paper, we design and implement the scheduler based on RM(Rate-Monotonic) rule. This scheduler makes feasible patterns based on EDF(Earliest deadline first) rule with extended schedulability inspection before execution, for periodic task-set that has high CPU utilization and then, execute periodic task-set depended on feasible patterns. The feasible pattern formed into EDF rule is capable of the efficiency of CPU up to 100 percentage and by the referenced execution of the feasible pattern is possible of removing the red-time scheduling overhead that is the defect of the order of dynamic assignment rule.

In some industries, manufacturing firms' distinctive competences include not only product superiority but also service excellence. For example, in a highly volatile and dynamic market, flexibility and responsiveness are more valued than just the product cost. And sales order processing, in that respect is a very important process. However, previous studies on sale order processing have considered only due-date assignments or dealt with production scheduling to minimize production cost or delivery lead time. Due to recent advances in information technology, a new approach is possible in dealing with sales order processing. For example, RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) and ubiquitous computing technology adds real time visibility and traceability to supply chain. In this study, we develop a new due-date re-negotiation process for sales order management and propose a new business integration model to support the re-negotiation process based on RFID, ubiquitous computing technology and RosettaNet's PIPs.
In this study, we consider a capacity planning problem where the number of machines at each workstation is determined in manufacturing systems of top-edge electronic products such as semiconductor or display. The considered manufacturing system is the typical hybrid flowshop which has identical parallel machines at each workstation and the setup operation occurs when the types of consecutively processed products are different. The objective of the problem is finding good combinations of the numbers of machines at all workstations, under the given capital amount for purchasing machines. Various heuristic methods for determining the numbers of machines at workstations are proposed and the performances were tested through a series of computational experiments. In the study, a simulation model has been developed in order to simulate the considered manufacturing system with dynamic orders and complex process. The simulation model is also used for conducting the computational comparison test among various proposed methods.
