DLP용 유체동압베어링 스핀들모터 (Fluid Dynamic Bearing Spindle Motors for DLP)

  • The small precision spindle motors in the high value-added products including the visible home appliances such as DLP projector require not only the energy conversion devices but also high efficiency, low vibration and sound operation. However, the spindle motors using the conventional ball bearing and sintered porous metal bearing have following problems, respectively: the vibration by the irregularity of balls and the short motor life cycle by the ball's abrasion and higher sound noises by dry contact between shaft and sleeve. In this paper, it is proposed that the spindle motor with a fluid dynamic bearing is suitable for the motor to drive the color wheel of the DLP(digital lightening processor) in the visible home appliances. The proposed spindle motor is composed of the fluid dynamic bearing with both the radial force and the thrust force. The fluid dynamic bearing is solved by the finite element analysis of the mechanical field with the Reynolds equations. The magnetic part of spindle motor, which is a type of Brushless DC Motor, is designed by the electro-magnetic field analysis coupled with the Maxwell equation. And the load capacity and the friction loss of fluid dynamic bearing are analyzed to bearing clearance variation by the fabrication error in designed motor. The design of the proposed motor is implemented by the load torque caused by the eccentricity and the unbalance of the fluid dynamic bearing when the motors are fabricated in error. The prototype of the motor with the fluid dynamic bearing is manufactured, and experiment results show the vibration, sound, and phase current at no load and color wheel load of the motors in comparison. The high performance characteristics with the low vibration, the low acoustic noise and the optimal mechanical structure are verified by the experimental results.

주행차량의 종류와 아스팔트 콘크리트 포장 평탄성에 따른 동적하중 증가계수 산정 (Estimation of Dynamic Load Amplification Factors under Various Roughness Indices and Vehicle Classes)

  • 다양한 종류의 차량하중을 대상으로 도로의 평탄성과 차량의 속도가 도로에 작용하는 동적하중에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 경인고속도로의 교통량자료 분석을 통하여 통과빈도가 높은 대표 중차량 개념의 2축, 3축, 4축 그리고 5축 차량을 선정하였다. 선정된 대표 중차량을 대상으로 도로의 평탄성과 주행차량의 속도에 따른 동적 축하중을 TruckSim 프로그램을 통하여 산정한 후, 각 대표 중차량을 대상으로 도로 평탄성 변화에 따른 동적하중에 대한 정적하중의 비인 동적하중 증가계수를 산정하였다. 본 연구를 통해 산정된 동적하중 증가계수로부터 예측한 동적하중은 3축 대표 중차량에서 IRI가 3.5이고 주행차량 속도가 100km/h일 때 정적하중에 비해 최대 36%에 해당하는 추가적인 동적하중이 가해지는 것으로 나타났고, 다양한 차종에 대한 동적하중 증가계수의 특성을 분석한 결과 축간거리가 짧고 각 축에 가해지는 하중분담률이 높을수록 동적하중 증가계수가 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

Ant colony optimization for dynamic stability of laminated composite plates

  • This paper presents the dynamic stability study of laminated composite plates with different force combinations and aspect ratios. Optimum non-diverging stacking is obtained for certain loading combination and aspect ratio. In addition, the stability force is maximized for a definite operating frequency. A dynamic version of the principle of virtual work for laminated composites is used to obtain force-frequency relation. Since dynamic stiffness governs the divergence or flutter, an efficient optimization method is necessary for the response functional and the relevant constraints. In this way, a model based on the ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm is proposed to search for the proper stacking. The ACO algorithm is used since it treats with large number of dynamic stability parameters. Governing equations are formulated using classic laminate theory (CLT) and von-Karman plate technique. Load-frequency relations are explicitly obtained for fundamental and secondary flutter modes of simply supported composite plate with arbitrary aspect ratio, stacking and boundary load, which are used in optimization process. Obtained results are compared with the finite element method results for validity and accuracy convince. Results revealed that the optimum stacking with stable dynamic response and maximum critical load is in angle-ply mode with almost near-unidirectional fiber orientations for fundamental flutter mode. In addition, short plates behave better than long plates in combined axial-shear load case regarding stable oscillation. The interaction of uniaxial and shear forces intensifies the instability in long plates than short ones which needs low-angle layup orientations to provide required dynamic stiffness. However, a combination of angle-ply and cross-ply stacking with a near-square aspect ratio is appropriate for the composite plate regarding secondary flutter mode.

  • This study is about the difference of South and East facing Cooling load of Apartment s Houses using Dynamic Heat-flow Calculation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is come in to use Material for the Thermal Environments of Apartment Houses. The results of the analysis are below. (1) For the peak load of degree hour; The highest is "I" unit and the next high load is H, F, E, C, B, G, D and A unit for the south facing Apartment houses. The higher load is "H" unit and the next high load is I, E, F, B, C, G, D, A Unit for the east facing Apartment houses. (2) For the total load of degree day; The highest load is "I" unit and the next high load is H, G, F, E, C, B, D and A Unit for the south facing Apartment houses. The highest load is "H" unit and the next high load is I, G, E, F, B, C, D, A Unit for the east facing Apartment houses.   • When a load such as the mechanical load, the wind load, and the seismic load causing a vibration, acts on the body of the 3-D frameworks with slab, it is required to consider the dynamic behavior of elastic soil as well as that of 3-D structure in the structural analysis. Thus, this study presents the analysis of dynamic behavior using finite element method that is formulated by using a model of the 3-D structure. For the idealization of the actual structure closely into a geometric shape, plate is subdivided into 4-node plate element with the flexibility, beam-column is subdivided into 2-node beam element, and elastic soil is subdivided into 8-node brick element.

고속철도용 윤축의 정${\cdot}$동적파괴인성 평가 (Static and Dynamic Fracture Toughness of Wheelset for High Speed Train)

  • The safety evaluations of railway wheelsets make use of the static fracture toughness obtained in ingot materials. The static fracture toughness of wheelset materials has been extensively studied by experiments, but the dynamic fracture toughness with respect to wheelset materials has not been studied enough yet. It is necessary to evaluate the characteristics of the fracture mechanics depending on each location for a full-scale wheelset for high-speed trains, because the load state for each location of the wheelset while running is different the contact load between the wheel and rail, cyclic stress in the wheel plate, etc. This paper deals with the fracture toughness depend on load rates. The fracture toughness depending on load rate data shows that once the downward curve from quasi-static values was reached, subsequent values showed a slow increase with respect to the impact velocity. This means that dynamic fracture toughness should be considered in the design code of the wheelset material.

  • This paper presents the test results to evaluate the healthiness of the ballast in subway. The test includes the dynamic load test in servicing Line the screen classification test of aggregates and the wear test. From the results, the aspect and the property of the ballast are evaluated. The dynamic load tests explain the relationship between the deterioration of the ballast and the fluctuation of loads. The assessment of impact factor based on the field test results in a good property of test blocks is proposed.

  • The goal of this paper is to develop a rational static method which consider efficiently the dynamic effect of the gravity load following sudden removal of element. For this goal this paper introduce the equivalent load for element stiffness which is a preceding research result and will develop equivalent static analysis which will be able to predict the maximum behavior considering dynamic effect. Some examples are provided to verify it. Equivalent static analysis is compared with the analysis method which is recommended by the GSA2003 guidelines and the time-history analysis which is the most accurate for dynamic behavior.

  • Dynamic behavior of Libr-water absorption system using low-temperature hot water was investigated numerically. Thermal-hydraulic model of single-effect/double-lift 100 RT chiller was developed by applying transient conservation equations of total mass, Libr mass, energy and momentum to each component. Transient variations of system properties and transport variables were analysed during start-up operation. Numerical analysis were performed to quantify the effects of bulk concentration and part-load operation on the system performance in terms of cooling capacity, coefficient of performance, and time constant of system. For an absorption chiller considered in the present study, optimum bulk concentration was found to exist, which resulted in the minimum time constant with stable cooling capacity. COP and time constant increased as the load decreased down to 40%, below which the time constant increased abruptly and COP decreased as the load decreased further.
