One of the best choice for transportation of oil and gas at the end of rivers or seas is concrete pipelines. In this article, a concrete pipe at the end of river is assumed under the earthquake load. The Classic shell theory is applied for the modelling and the corresponding motion equations are derived by energy method. An external force induced by fluid around the pipe is asssumed in the final motion equations. For the solution of motion equations, the differential quadrature method (DQM) and Newmark method are applied for deriving the dynamic deflection of the pipe. The effects of various parameters including boundary conditions, fluid and length to thickness ratio are presented on the seismic response of the concrete pipe. The outcomes show that the clamped pipe has lower dynamic deflection with respect to simply pipe. In addition, with the effect of fluid, the dynamic defelction is increased significantly.

Linearization of the biped dynamic equations and design of linear controller for the linearized equations are studied in this paper. The biped robot with inverted pendulum type trunk, used to stabilize the dynamic balancing of the biped robot during dynamic walking period, is modelled with 14 DOF and simulated. Despite of well defined linear control theories so far, the linear control methods was limited to the applications for a walking robot, because they have been inherently strong nonlinear properties, such as a modeling parameter uncertainties, external forces as noise, inertial and Coriolis terms by three dimensional modeling and so on. To linearize the nonlinear equations of motion of biped robot on MIMO and time varying linear equations of motion, 1st order Taylor series is used to formulate the linear equation. And a 2nd order numerical perturbation method Is used to approximate partial differential equations. Using the linearized equations of motion, a linear controller is designed by pole placement method with feed forward compensation. Using the obtained linearized equations and linear controller, the continuous walking simulation is performed.
In this paper, a recursive formulation for generating the equations of motion of spatial mechanical systems is presented. The rigid bodies are replaced by a dynamically equivalent constrained system of particles which avoids introducing any rotational coordinates. For the open-chain system, the equations of motion are generated recursively along the serial chains using the concepts of linear and angular momenta Closed-chain systems are transformed to open-chain systems by cutting suitable kinematic joints and introducing cut-joint constraints. The formulation is used to carry out the dynamic analysis of multi-link five-point suspension. The results of the simulation demonstrate the generality and simplicity of the proposed dynamic formulation.

In this paper free vibration analysis of symmetric and cross-ply elastic laminated shells based on FSDT was performed through discretization of equations of motion and boundary condition. Model of laminated composite shells subjected to a combination of magnetic and thermal fields is developed. These coupled equations of motion are based on the electromagnetic equations (Faraday, Ampere, Ohm, and Lorenz equations) and thermal equations which are involved in constitutive equations. Dynamic characteristic of composite shells for change of magnetic fields is investigated.

This paper established the dynamic model of a flexible Timoshenko beam with geometrical nonlinearities subject to large overall motions by using the finite element method. The equations of motion are derived by using Hamilton principle based on expressing the kinetic and potential energies of the flexible beam in terms of generalized coordinates. The nonlinear constraint equations are adjoined to the system equations of motion by using Lagrange multipliers.

Vibration of a beam translating over supports in vertical motion is investigated in this paper. Equations of motion are formulated using the virtual work principle by regarding the supports as kinematical constraints imposed on an unrestrained beam and by discretizing the beam via the assumed mode method. Differential-algebraic equations of motion are derived and reduced to differential equations in independent generalized coordinates by the generalized coordinate partitioning method. Geometric stiffness of the beam due to translating motion is considered and how the geometric stiffness of beam affects dynamic stability is also investigated. Instability of the beam. in various conditions is also investigated using Floquet theory and then the results are verified through the dynamic response analysis. Results of numerical simulation are presented for various prescribed motions of the beam.
The objective of this article is investigation of dynamic response of thick multilayer functionally graded (FG) beam under generalized dynamic forces. The plane stress problem is exploited to describe the constitutive equation of thick FG beam to get realistic and accurate response. Applied dynamic forces are assumed to be sinusoidal harmonic, sinusoidal pulse or triangle in time domain and point load. Equations of motion of deep FG beam are derived based on the Hamilton principle from kinematic relations and constitutive equations of plane stress problem. The numerical finite element procedure is adopted to discretize the space domain of structure and transform partial differential equations of motion to ordinary differential equations in time domain. Numerical time integration method is used to solve the system of equations in time domain and find the time responses. Numerical parametric studies are performed to illustrate effects of force type, graduation parameter, geometrical and stacking sequence of layers on the time response of deep multilayer FG beams.
This paper presents inverse kinematic and dynamic analyses of HexaSlide type six degree-of-freedom parallel manipulators. The HexaSlide type parallel manipulators (HSM) can be characterized as an architecture with constant link lengths that are attached to moving sliders on the ground and to a mobile platform. In the inverse kinematic analyses, the slider and link motion (position, velocity, and acceleration) is computed given the desired mobile platform motion. Based on the inverse kinematic analysis, in order to compute the required actuator forces given the desired platform motion, inverse dynamic equations of motion of a parallel manipulator is derived by the Newton-Euler approach. In this derivation, the joint friction as well as all link inertia are included. Relative importance of the link inertia and joint frictions on the computed torque is investigated by computer simulations. It is expected that the inverse kinematic and dynamic equations can be used in the computed torque control and model-based adaptive control strategies.
Recently, fluid dynamic bearings (EDBs) have important applications in miniature rotating machines such as those found in the computer information storage industry, due to their outstanding low acoustic noise and NRRO (Non-Repeatable Run Out) characteristics. This research investigates the dynamic behavior of fluid dynamic bearings composed of hydrodynamic herringbone groove journal and spiral groove thrust bearing. The five degrees of freedom of FDB are considered to describe the real motion of a general rotor bearing system. The Reynolds equation and five nonlinear equations of motion for the dynamic behavior are solved simultaneously, The incompressible Reynolds equation is solved by using the finite element method (FEM) in order to calculate the pressure distribution in a fluid film and the five equations of motion by using the Runge-Kutta method. The reaction forces and moments are obtained by integrating the pressure along the fluid film. Numerical results are validated by comparing with the previously published experimental and numerical results. As a result the dynamic behavior of FDB spindle such as orbit, floating height, and angular orbit is investigated by considering the conical motion under the static and dynamic load conditions.
