사이클론 집진장치의 내부 온도 변화에 따른 집진효율에 관한 전산해석적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Effect of the Internal Temperature Distribution in the Cyclone Dust Collector)

  • The internal temperature will change depending on operation conditions and material of cyclone dust collector. This study compares the results of collection efficiency and temperature distribution on the different heat flux at wall of dust collector. The previous researcher's experiment results were used to confirm the reliability of CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) model. Based on this verified CFD model, we extended the analysis on the cyclone dust collectors. In CFD study, we used RNG k-epsilon model for analysis of turbulence flow, fluid is air, the velocity at inlet is 10 m/s, the temperature of air is $600^{\circ}C$. Because of the difference of outer vortex and inner vortex temperature, the collection efficiency will reduce with the increase of heat flux, showed the highest collection efficiency at heat insulation.

수평형 집진기의 3차원 유동해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Three-Dimensional Flow Analysis of Horizontal type Dust Collector)

  • 본 연구에서는 대풍량 곡물건조기에 사용되는 수평형 집진기의 집진효율 향상과 최적화를 위한 연구의 선행과정으로 Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)를 이용하여 집진기 내부의 유동 특성 분석과 원뿔형 허브의 각 변화가 집진기의 집진성능에 미치는 영향을 해석하였다. 최근 집진기 입구에 원뿔형 허브와 고정 베인을 설치하여 선회유동(Swirl Flow)을 발생시켜 이물질을 공기와 분리시키는 수평형 사이클론 집진기(Horizontal type Cyclone Dust collector)가 개발되었다. 이 집진기는 크기가 비교적 작고 설치가 용이하고 비교적 배압이 낮아 추가 동력을 필요로 하지 않으며 베인의 선회력을 이용하기 때문에 대풍량 배습용 송풍기에도 적용할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 수평형 집진기 형상으로 인해 발생하는 집진기 내부의 배압 문제와 분진 퇴적 문제를 해결하기 위해서 3차원 유동해석을 이용하여 집진기 내부 형상 변화에 따른 유동 특성에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 실제 곡물건조기에 적용 가능한 수평형 집진기 설계를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하였으며, 향후 연구 예정인 고정 베인 설계, 주분리관 및 중간분리관의 설계에 적용하고자 한다.

표준 사이클론 집진기 내 유동특성에 관한 수치해석 (A Numerical Analysis on Flow Characteristic in a Standard Cyclone Dust Separator)

  • This study is numerical analysis on flow characteristic in a standard cyclone dust separator. The cyclone dust separator is widely used in a industrial applications as a method for dust removed from gases. In cyclone chamber, a very complex flow field is formed, involving the interaction between highly swirling velocity and turbulent field. Numerical analysis with computational fluid dynamics(CFD) was carried out to investigate the working fluid that flow into cyclone dust separator. Helical entry type was increasing flow rate compared with tangent entry type. And according to increasing pressure difference was increased fan power. But, helical entry type was high performance dust separator, in comparison with tangent entry type.

세라믹 필터 집진기의 유동 해석 (Aanalyze the Fluid Inside the Ceramic Filtration Dust Collection System)

  • This study aimed to analyze the fluid inside the ceramic filtration dust collection system which was assumed to be a stationary 3-dimensional turbulence. The fluid dynamics data necessary for performance curves were obtained based on the analysis results. The governing equations used to compute the velocity distribution and pressure inside the catalyst converter were expressed with continuity and momentum equations. Furthermore, the ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model, already validated by the industry(coal factory, high temperature dust collector) was used for the study. Of a total of three computational models employed, Model-1 served as the basis for CFD analysis which took measurements in increments of 70mm.

The Effect of Suction and Injection on Unsteady Flow of a Dusty Conducting Fluid in Rectangular Channel

  • In the present study, the unsteady Hartmann flow of a dusty viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid under the influence of an exponentially decreasing pressure gradient is studied without neglecting the ion slip. The parallel plates are assumed to be porous and subjected to a uniform suction from above and injection from below. The fluid is acted upon by an external uniform magnetic field which is applied perpendicular to the plates. An analytical solution for the governing equations of motion is obtained to yield the velocity distributions for both the fluid and dust particles.

MHD Hartmann flow of a Dusty Fluid with Exponential Decaying Pressure Gradient

  • In the present study, the unsteady Hartmann flow with heat transfer of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid under the influence of an exponentially decreasing pressure gradient is studied. The parallel plates are assumed to be porous and subjected to a uniform suction from above and injection from below while the fluid is acted upon by an external uniform magnetic field applied perpendicular to the plates. The equations of motion are solved analytically to yield the velocity distributions for both the fluid and dust particles. The energy equations for both the fluid and dust particles including the viscous and Joule dissipation terms, are solved numerically using finite differences to get the temperature distributions.

On Weakly Z Symmetric Spacetimes

  • The object of the present paper is to study weakly Z symmetric spacetimes $(WZS)_4$. At first we prove that a weakly Z symmetric spacetime is a quasi-Einstein spacetime and hence a perfect fluid spacetime. Next, we consider conformally flat $(WZS)_4$ spacetimes and prove that such a spacetime is infinitesimally spatially isotropic relative to the unit timelike vector field ${\rho}$. We also study $(WZS)_4$ spacetimes with divergence free conformal curvature tensor. Moreover, we characterize dust fluid and viscous fluid $(WZS)_4$ spacetimes. Finally, we construct an example of a $(WZS)_4$ spacetime.

사이클론 집진장치의 내부온도에 따른 외부 소용돌이와 집진효율의 관계 (Relationship between the Outer Vortex and the Collection Efficiency with respect to Temperatures in the Cyclone Dust Collector)

  • This study compares the results of collection efficiency of difference gas temperature in cyclone dust collector. The previous researcher's experiment results were used to confirm the reliability of CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) model. Based on this verified CFD model, we extended the analysis on the cyclone dust collectors. In CFD study, we used RNG k-epsilon model for analysis of turbulence flow, fluid is air, the velocity at inlet is 10 m/s, the temperature of air is $20^{\circ}C$, $100^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$, $300^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$ and $1000^{\circ}C$. As the temperature decreases, the average velocity of outer vortex and collection efficiency is increased, showed the highest collection efficiency at $20^{\circ}C$. It can be inferred smooth flow in cyclone dust collector is difficult because air viscosity increases as temperature increases. The power required at $1000^{\circ}C$ is almost 18 times greater than that of $20^{\circ}C$ to get the similar collection efficiency.

ON PSEUDO SEMI-PROJECTIVE SYMMETRIC MANIFOLDS

  • In this paper we introduce a new tensor named semi-projective curvature tensor which generalizes the projective curvature tensor. First we deduce some basic geometric properties of semi-projective curvature tensor. Then we study pseudo semi-projective symmetric manifolds $(PSPS)_n$ which recover some known results of Chaki [5]. We provide several interesting results. Among others we prove that in a $(PSPS)_n$ if the associated vector field ${\rho}$ is a unit parallel vector field, then either the manifold reduces to a pseudosymmetric manifold or pseudo projective symmetric manifold. Moreover we deal with semi-projectively flat perfect fluid and dust fluid spacetimes respectively. As a consequence we obtain some important theorems. Next we consider the decomposability of $(PSPS)_n$. Finally, we construct a non-trivial Lorentzian metric of $(PSPS)_4$.

초미세먼지 제거를 위한 전기집진 필터에 관한 연구 (Electric Collection Filter for Ultrafine Dust Removal)

  • In recent years, indoor air pollution has become a crucial environmental problem. Hence, the purification of indoor air is an important issue. Typical physical filters show relatively high dust collection efficiency at a dust particle size of more than 5.0 ㎛ but extremely low efficiency at an ultrafine size of less than 2.5 ㎛. In this study, an electric field filter was proposed to capture ultrafine dust with a size of less than 5.0 ㎛. Simulation results showed that the electric field filter effectively removed ultrafine dust. In addition, sufficient dust collection efficiency was obtained even with a simple plate-shaped filter without bending the Chevron filter.
