As data rate was increased, the conventional burst-mode automatic power control circuit caused errors due to the effort of the mark density variation. To solve this problem we invented a new structured peak-comparator which could eliminate the effect of the mark density variation even in high date rate, and revised the conventional one using it. We proposed a burst-mode automatic power control circuit robust to mark density variations. We found that the peak-comparator in the proposed automatic power control circuit was very robust to mark density variations because it affected very little by the mark density variation in high date rate and in the wide variation range of the reference current and the difference current.
Increased application of glyphosate (Gly) in glyphosate-resistant (GR) soybean cropping systems may affect rhizospheric microorganisms including IAA-producing rhizobacteria (IPR) and their effect on the growth of soybean. This field experiment was conducted to assess IPR populations in the rhizosphere of GR soybean ('Roundup-Ready' DeKalb DKB38-52) treated with glyphosate and foliar amendment treatments such as $PT21^{(R)}$ (urea solution with N 21 %) and $Grozyme^{(R)}$ (Biostimulant: mixtures of micro nutrients and enzymes). Effects of herbicide, sampling date, and their interaction on total bacterial numbers were significant (P < 0.001, 0.001, 0.013, respectively). Total bacteria (TB) numbers were increased with glyphosate treatment at 20 d after application and highest TB populations were associated with $Grozyme^{(R)}$ application, possibly due to the additional substrate from this product. The IPR of the soybean rhizosphere was significantly affected by herbicide, sampling date, and the herbicide*foliar amendment interaction. The ratios of numbers of IPR to TB ranged from 0.79 to 0.99 across the sampling dates irrespective of treatments. IPR numbers were slightly hindered by glyphosate application regardless of foliar amendment.

Short-term land cover changes, such as forest fire scar and crop harvesting, can be detected by high temporal resolution satellite imagery like MODIS and AVHRR. Because these optical satellite images are often obscured by clouds, the static cloud-free composite methods (maximum NDVI, minblue, minVZA, etc.) has been used based on non-overlapping composite period (8-day, 16-day, or a month). Due to relatively long time lag between successive images, these methods are not suitable for observing short-term land cover changes in near-real time. In this study, we suggested a new dynamic cloud-free composite algorithm that uses cut-and-patch method of cloud-masked daily MODIS data using MOD35 products. Because this dynamic composite algorithm generates daily cloud-free MODIS images with the most recent information, it can be used to monitor short-term land cover changes in near-real time. The dynamic composite algorithm also provides information on the date of each pixel used in compositing, thereby makes accurately identify the date of short-term event.

According to Korean nuclear code requires Periodic Safety Review(PSR) every 10 years should be perform for operating reactor, and selects the eleven PSR safety factors. Among them the review objective of the environmental impact is to determine whether the operator has an adequate programme for surveillance of the environmental impact of the nuclear power plant based on current safety standards. In this paper, the environmental impact in PSR of Wolsong Unit 1 was reflected current safety standards as of the evaluation date. As a result, all items generally satisfied the standards, and the staff also verified that the population dose due to the operation of Wolsong Unit 1 was controlled safely as of the evaluation date.
Unused medication disposal is a problem due to the cost of disposing as well as potential risk of inadvertent dosing. Investigating medication returns is expected to suggest areas for targeting interventions to reduce medication waste. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine types of medications and identify the expiration date of the medications returned to the community pharmacies through "Drug-Take Back" program. Method: From October 10, 2012 to November 14, 2012, the medications returned to the 58 community pharmacies in Korea were examined. Results: A total of 22,160 g of pill medications were collected; 52.8% for prescription drugs and 47.2% for non-prescription drugs, respectively. The weight of the expired pill medications was more than 5 times that of the non-expired pill medications. On the other hand, 6,168 ml of liquid medications were returned; 80.0% for prescription medication and 20.0% for non-prescription medications, respectively. Of the total oral liquid medications, the volume of the expired medications was more than 5 times that of the non-expired medications. Conclusion: The majority of medications returned to the community pharmacies were prescription drugs rather than non-prescription drugs. In addition, most of the drugs were expired when they returned.
Due to the customer needs of reducing cost and delivery date shorting, prompt change in the production plan became more important. In the multi period system (For instance, production line.) where target processing time exists, production, idle and delay risks occur repeatedly for multiple periods. In such situations, delay of one process may influence the delivery date of an entire process. In this paper, we discuss the minimum expected cost of the case mentioned above, where the risk depends on the previous situation and occurs repeatedly for multiple periods. This paper considers the optimal switching frequency to minimize the total expected cost of the production process. In this paper, first, the optimal switching frequency model is proposed. Next, the mathematic formulation of the total expectation is presented. Finally, the policy of optimal switching frequency is investigated by numerical experiments.
A new waxy corn hybrid 'Daedukchal 1' was developed from single cross between CNU 504 and CNU 2396 at Chungnam National University in 2007. Inbred CNU 504 used as a seed parent and inbred CNU 2396 as a pollen parent were collected throughout domestic regions. Tasseling date of this hybrid was seven days later than that of check hybrid, 'Chalok 1'. 'Daedukchal 1' was 19.7 cm in ear length and 4.5 cm in ear diameter. On yield trial, ear length of this hybrid was increased 29.7% compared with a check hybrid, 'Chalok 1'. 'Daedukchal 1' had white kernels and good eating quality due to high sugar content and thinner pericarp. The ratio of kernel set length/ear length was similar to 'Chalok 1'. It is moderately resistant to southern leaf blight and northern leaf blight but susceptible to corn borer. The yields of 'Daedukchal 1' in fresh ear weight and in number of fresh ear were 16% and 8%, respectively, higher than those of a check hybrid in regional yield trials for two years. Seed production for this hybrid was better because of the consistency of tasseling dates.
In this study, we developed a $PM_{10}$ forecasting model using DNN and Membership Function, and improved the forecasting performance. The model predicts the $PM_{10}$ concentrations of the next 3 days in the Seoul area by using the weather and air quality observation data and forecast data. The best model(RM14)'s accuracy (82%, 76%, 69%) and false alarm rate(FAR:14%,33%,44%) are good. Probability of detection (POD: 79%, 50%, 53%), however, are not good performance. These are due to the lack of training data for high concentration $PM_{10}$ compared to low concentration. In addition, the model dose not reflect seasonal factors closely related to the generation of high concentration $PM_{10}$. To improve this, we propose Julian date membership function as inputs of the $PM_{10}$ forecasting model. The function express a given date in 12 factors to reflect seasonal characteristics closely related to high concentration $PM_{10}$. As a result, the accuracy (79%, 70%, 66%) and FAR (24%, 48%, 46%) are slightly reduced in performance, but the POD (79%, 75%, 71%) are up to 25% improved compared with those of the RM14 model. Hence, this shows that the proposed Julian forecast model is effective for high concentration $PM_{10}$ forecasts.
Background: Silicone implants are biomaterials that are frequently used in the medical industry due to their physiological inertness and low toxicity. However, capsular contracture remains a concern in long-term transplantation. To date, several studies have been conducted to overcome this problem. This review summarizes and explores these trends. Main body: First, we examined the overall foreign body response from initial inflammation to fibrosis capsule formation in detail and introduced various studies to overcome capsular contracture. Secondly, we introduced that the main research approaches are to inhibit fibrosis with anti-inflammatory drugs or antibiotics, to control the topography of the surface of silicone implants, and to administer plasma treatment. Each study examined aspects of the various mechanisms by which capsular contracture could occur, and addressed the effects of inhibiting fibrosis. Conclusion: This review introduces various silicone surface modification methods to date and examines their limitations. This review will help identify new directions in inhibiting the fibrosis of silicone implants.
Heritability of heading date, maturing date and culm length were high and the year variation was relatively low. Yield components were considerably low in heritability due to large year variation. Direct effects of number of spikes/$m^2$ and 1, 000 grain weight to yield were high. For improved selection efficiency, at least three years continuous evaluation of experiments would be desired.
