KINEMATICS OF SOLAR CHROMOSPHERIC SURGES OF AR 10930

  • Solar chromospheric surges are often reported to contain rotational motion. However, the details of the motion and driving mechanism of the surges are not yet fully understood. Recurrent surges with rotational motion at AR 10930 on the west limb are observed by Hinode Solar Optical Telescope (SOT) continuously from 11:21 UT on December 18 to 09:58 UT on December 19, 2006, using the $Ca_{II}$ H broadband filter. We analyze details of the motion including number of turns from the rise of the surge to the fall, axial speed and acceleration. During the observation, rise and fall motion accompanying rotation appears recurrently. There occur a total of 14 surges at AR 10930 over 17 hours. The average duration is 45 minutes, and the average width, and length are 8 Mm, and 39 Mm, respectively. We speculate that the surges occurred by recurrent reconnections between the twisted prominence and large untwisted flux tube.

  • Recently, the Seoul Metro has replaced the old series of Line No.2 and 3 to the new ones. In spite of the replacement, the new ones are more likely to be slippery compared to the old ones. Because the subway system has such short intervals, delayed subways influence the whole line systems, especially during the rush hours. And the slip causes the delay. Therefore we are willing to find out the reason why the new ones are more defective and we will try to mince it from the view of mechanical aspects and handling aspects of driving.

  • In this paper, vibration criteria for fresh concrete are suggested considering relationship of strength and ages of concrete. Vibration criteria of fresh concrete subjected to construction vibration are not to be certain in abroad countries without question within a country. Before 12 hours cured, vibration criterion is suggested 0.25 cm/s. Used 4.0 cm/s by vibration criterion after 28 days. And the interval extent used relation with strength and ages of concrete. Vibration criteria proposed in this paper are thought may satisfy properties of fresh concrete as well as generally used those in domestic. Also, the actual ground vibrations due to pile driving have been measured, and data are analyze using the nitration equation applying to reliability index.

  • V-belt pulleys play a key role in driving cooling pump, oil pump, air-conditioner and so on by using an engine power. Precision deep drawing is one of the main processes for manufacturing the pulleys. Operation variables of the deep drawing equipment, called the setup parameter, must be re-determined whenever the specifications of pulley to be produced are changed. The defect rates during a setup of equipment and the working hours needed for the setup are almost dependent on workers' know-how. This study designs the program for easily determining setup conditions in pulley manufacturing process.

Frequency Dependency of Multi-layer OLED Current Density-voltage Shift and Its Application to Digitally-driven AMOLED

  • We report, for the first time, operation frequency dependence of current density-voltage ($J_{OLED}-V_{OLED}$) shift for multi-layer organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). When the OLEDs were electrically stressed for 21 hours with 50% duty voltage pulses at 60, 120, 240, and 360 Hz, the JOLED-VOLED shifts were suppressed by half for 360 Hz operation compared with 60 Hz operation, but with little change in emission efficiencies. This frequency dependent $J_{OLED}-V_{OLED}$ shift is believed to be commonly observed for typical multi-layer OLEDs and can be used to further improve lifetime of digitally-driven active-matrix OLED displays.

  • This paper introduces the experimental results of ride values assessed for a farm tractor. and the effect on the health of rider when working on the tractor is estimated. The dynamic characteristics of suspension seat in the farm tractor also described. To evaluate the ride values the accelerations in the 12-axis of human are measured. The experiment was conducted in three different driving conditions for 4 persons. as a results we can see that the ride quality is very poor and the working in a tractor can causes health problems in a few hours. and the suspension seat does not take a good performance.

  • Thyristor breakdown voltage variation acceleration aging test was investigated. The breakdown voltage was deceased after 1000 hours acceleration aging test. It temperature rising caused by electric field concentration at the edge beveling region of the thyristor was confirmed using Silvaco device simulation. The local temperature rising is driving force for the defect propagation. Consequently, propagated defects of the beveling region seems to decrease thyristor's breakdown voltage.

  • The delivery truck is traveled around the delivery area for a long time. Truck drivers cause traffic accidents because of long hours of driving, fatigue, and speeding, etc. In this study, we will test the factors for preventing accidents of drivers. We would like to find factors that affect accidents and improve that can prevent accidents. As in the results of the study, accidents occur when traffic increases and profits increase among driver age, career, and profit factors. In addition, if the volume of traffic increases during the season, the number of accidents increases further. Therefore, in order to prevent truck accidents, a stable cargo quantity must be allocated to truck and cargo must be delivered.

서울지역에 있어서 직업운전자의 건강상태가 교통사고에 미치는 영향 (Human Health Factors and Traffic Accidents among Taxi Drivers in the Seoul Area)

  • The present status of the traffic accident rate in Korea shows that it is the highest in the world with a continuously increasing trend. Human factors account for 90% of the causes of traffic accidents. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine some human factors related to traffic accidents by studying the relationship between health status and traffic accidents. To accomplish this purpose, all taxi companies located in the Seoul area were divided in three groups according to the number of taxi possessed, then some companies in each ?roup were randomly selected for study, and a total of 222 drivers in those selected companies were questioned and examined from April 15 to April 22, 1989. Seventy drivers among 222 had experienced a traffic accident. A $x^2$-test was performed on the data, then, factor analysis and discrminant analysis were executed with the following results: 1. The drivers complaining of gastroenteric symptoms numbered 110(49.5%), which was the major symptom among all drivers complaining of poor health. 2. In the primary analysis, variables related to traffic accidents were divided into general, occupational, and health characteristics. Drivers having no traffic accident experience and drivers having that experience were subjected to question about age, educational level, residential status, monthly average income, working hours and days, degree of satisfaction with their profession and homelife, degree of worry about health. degree of fatigue, medication, drunken driving, and illness, but there were no statistical significances. 3. In the factor analysis, the 8 health variables which cause traffic accidents were classified into 3 common factors which were perceived health factor, sleeping and drunken driving, and visual acuity and smoking factor. Perceived health was the factor which contributed most to explaining accidents. 4. In the discriminant analysis, a correct prediction rate of 68.0% was obtained in the factors of all the characteristics. 5. Degree of sttisfaction with their homelife and educational and economic factor in the general characteristics, degree of satisfaction with their profession in the occupational characteristics, and sleeping and drunken driving in the health characteristics were selected as statistically significant factors to discriminant the traffic accident. 6. Among the factors of the general, occupational, and health characteristics, degree of satisfaction with their homelife, driving experience, family factor, perceived factor were selected as the statistically significant factors.

산소희박환경에서 과산화수소를 이용한 디젤개질 가능성 탐구 (Study on Possibility of Diesel Reforming with Hydrogen Peroxide in Low-Oxygen Environments)

  • 잠수함 및 수중무인체계 등의 산소희박환경에서 연료전지를 통한 효과적인 전력생산을 위해서는 높은 수소저장밀도를 갖는 수소공급원이 필요하다. 디젤연료는 액체연료로서 저장 및 공급이 용이하며, 연료전지의 연료가 되는 수소의 단위질량 및 단위부피당 저장밀도가 높은 장점을 갖고 있다. 이러한 디젤연료의 장점을 기반으로 본 연구에서는 산소희박환경에서 수소생산을 위해 디젤연료의 개질반응을 이용하였으며, 산화제로 단위부피당 산소 저장밀도가 높고 액상으로 보관이 용이한 과산화수소 수용액을 기존의 산화제인 물과 산소의 대체산화제로 이용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 과산화수소 수용액의 디젤개질 산화제로써의 특성을 파악하기 위해 물, 공기 산화제와의 비교실험을 진행하였으며, 기존의 산화제와 디젤 개질반응 시 동일한 특성을 갖는 것을 실험적으로 확인하였다. 또한 상용디젤을 연료로 온도 및 과산화수소 수용액의 농도에 따른 개질성능을 평가하였으며, 49시간의 가속 열화실험을 통하여 디젤, 과산화수소 수용액을 이용한 수소생산의 가능성을 확인하였다.
