레일형 보행보조기구의 방향전환을 위한 턴 롤러 시스템 개발 (Development of the Turn Roller System for Changing the Direction of Rail-type Gait Training System)

  • It is needed to use the gait training system for the rehabilitation of the disabled and old people. In this study, a gait training system of turn roller type is proposed for the purpose of helping the rehabilitation. A driving mechanism with the turn roller is designed by using the RecurDyn which is the dynamic analysis program. RecurDyn is used to analyze the dynamic behavior of the gait training system. The static load analysis is carried out to investigate the safety of this system. From the operating test of this system, it is noted that the driving error is little and the load capacity is 130 kgf.

고속도로 합류부에서 운전자의 심리.생리적 작업 부하 연구 (Evaluation of Driver's Psychophysiological Load at Freeway Merging Area)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로의 기본구간과 비교해 볼 때, 고속도로 합류부에서의 운전자의 각성정도의 변화를 생리적 신호 중 후두엽부(Occipital Lobe)의 뇌파 중 $\beta$파를 측정하여 정량화하여 살펴보았다. 고속도로 기본구간 3지점과 합류부 구간 3지점에서 실험차량을 이용하여 남자 8명, 여자 2명, 총 10명의 피실험자를 대상으로 실험한 결과 고속도로 운전자는 합류부 구간(램프주행구간, 가속차로시점에서 합류직전 구간, 합류부 영향이 남아 있는 주행구간)에서 운전시 기본 주행구간에 비하여 가속차로 시점에서 합류 직전구간에서 2.21배로 가장 큰 각성정도를 보였다. 또한 고속도로 운전자는 합류를 완료한 후에 4초간 합류과정으로 인한 영향이 남아 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 운전자들은 고어지점으로부터 80m구간이내에서 합류하는 것이 충분한 가속주행을 한 것보다 더 각성 정도를 보였다.

도시간선도로에서의 DFS 설치 효과 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of the Effect DFS installation on Urban Arterial Road)

  • Recently, with the existing speed-management by law enforcements and physical speed-reduction facilities, the country newly adopted Driver Feedback Sign (DFS) system, which displays driving speed in order to guide the driver to an advisable driving condition. DFS is mainly used in school zones due to reasons related to the ITS. Accordingly, because it is predictable that DFS will result in speed-reduction without legal forces and would have an effect on physical speed-reduction facilities, intersection, crosswalks, and road-alignments, this study will try to verify the efficiency of DFS by researching the vehicle speed in national highways and school zones, which have similar conditions to the urban arterial road. In consequence, on national highways, the drivers had a tendency to travel according to the road-environment such as urban arterial road and not reduce speed voluntarily. In school zones, drivers tend to reduce speed in mornings and afternoons when children travel to school or home, showing that the resulting effect is different according to the road-environment where DFS is installed, and the time slot of the DFS.

등가분포응력을 이용한 피로균열전파해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Crack Propagation Analysis Using Equivalent Stress Distribution)

  • K-a 관계가 동일하면, 선형파괴역학적 견지에서 균열개구 거동이 같다고 가정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 구조물과 같은 K-a 관계를 주는 무한판 관통균열의 응력분포를 등가분포응력으로 정의한다. 실제 구조물과 동일한 K-a 관계가 구현되는 응력분포를 간단한 시험편에 작용시켜, 피로균열전파 해석을 수행하면 실제 구조요소의 피로전파수명 추정이 가능하다. 구조물에 대한 K-a 관계는 유한요소법 등의 이산화 수법 혹은 간이 추정법 등에 의하여 추정이 가능하다. 등가분포응력을 이용하여 유효 균열진전 음력을 구하는 방법의 타당성을 검토한다.

A Control Method of Driving a Paddy Vehicle Straight Ahead for Automatic Operation

  • A method for automatically driving paddy vehicles, such as rice transplanters, etc., straight ahead in a paddy field was investigated . The direction of such vehicles must be precisely controlled to do the operations as straight. However, the alignment of the from wheels becomes distorted due to the unevenness of the ground, preventing the vehicle form going straight. If the proper alignment of the front wheels is maintained , the vehicle can be driven straight ahead greater precision. To investigate the influence of the ground uneveness, the behavior of a paddy vehicle running over an obstacle was quantified. The left wheel ran over an obstacle on a flat concrete road surfaced. When the steering wheel was free, the front wheels were forced toward the left when vehicle went up the obstacle and toward the right when the vehicle went down it. The torsion of the wheel when the vehicle went down the obstacle was larger than that when it went up ,so it turned right 5 degrees. Sinc hydraulic control steering decreased the steering angle , it turned right 3 degrees. These results suggest that a vehicle can be driven straight ahead with high precision when the steering angle is changed in response to the direction and inclination of the vehicle . Such results were obtained in a paddy field tests.

자동차 충격흡수장치용 감쇠력 조정 전자제어장치 연구 (A Study of Electrical Control Kit for Damping Force of Automotive Shock Absorber)

  • The performance of shock absorber is directly related to the car behavior and performance, both for handling and comfort. Most of compact car are assembled the passive shock absorber for cost effect but some of compact driver want better performance of shock absorber than standard parts. Therefore, they want the semi-active suspension control system instead of standard damper system. But they only can change the mechanical damping control shock absorber at A/S market. The mechanical damping control shack absorber can not vary the damping force in driving condition so they do not satisfy the mechanical damping control shock absorber system. In this study, electrically damping force controlled shock absorber system is developed based on the mechanical damping force control damper system. This system can vary damping force by switch on dashboard in driving condition. And, this system can satisfy the requirement of tuning market. Therefore, it is expected the system to show the engineering capability of korean damper company and to increase export market share to oversea damper market.

다양한 환경에서 강건한 RGB-Depth-Thermal 카메라 기반의 차량 탑승자 점유 검출 (Robust Vehicle Occupant Detection based on RGB-Depth-Thermal Camera)

  • Recently, the safety in vehicle also has become a hot topic as self-driving car is developed. In passive safety systems such as airbags and seat belts, the system is being changed into an active system that actively grasps the status and behavior of the passengers including the driver to mitigate the risk. Furthermore, it is expected that it will be possible to provide customized services such as seat deformation, air conditioning operation and D.W.D (Distraction While Driving) warning suitable for the passenger by using occupant information. In this paper, we propose robust vehicle occupant detection algorithm based on RGB-Depth-Thermal camera for obtaining the passengers information. The RGB-Depth-Thermal camera sensor system was configured to be robust against various environment. Also, one of the deep learning algorithms, OpenPose, was used for occupant detection. This algorithm is advantageous not only for RGB image but also for thermal image even using existing learned model. The algorithm will be supplemented to acquire high level information such as passenger attitude detection and face recognition mentioned in the introduction and provide customized active convenience service.

해수 내 아크 아연 용사코팅 층의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Characteristics of Arc Zn Thermal Spray Coating Layer in Sea Water)

  • In this paper, arc Zn thermal spray coating was carried out on the SS400 steel, and then various electrochemical characteristics and surface damage behavior of Zn thermal spray coating layer were analyzed. As the results, the potential of Zn thermal spray coating layer presented driving voltage above 300 mV compare to that of SS400 steel. The passivity characteristic in anodic polarization curve was not presented. It was adequate to as sacrificial anode material. In the surface damage after galvanostatic experiments, uniform corrosion tendency of Zn thermal spray coating layer was clearly observed with acceleration of the dissolution reaction. In conclusion, Zn thermal spray coating could be determined to represent the corrosion protection effect by stable sacrificial anodic cathodic protection method in seawater because it had sufficient driving voltage and uniform corrosion damage tendency for the SS400 steel.

차내 정보 시스템의 시각적 요구 평가를 위한 사용자 주도의 시각 차폐 기법 (A User-driven Visual Occlusion Method for Measuring the Visual Demand of In-Vehicle Information Systems (IVIS))

  • Visual occlusion method is a visual demand measuring technique which uses periodic vision/occlusion cycle to simulate driving environment. It became one of the most popular techniques for the evaluation of in-vehicle interfaces due to its robustness and cost-effectiveness. However, it has a limitation in that the vision/occlusion cycle forces the user to use the IVIS at a predetermined pace, while a driver decides when to use the device on his/her own in actual driving. This paper proposes a user-driven visual occlusion method for measuring the visual demand of in-vehicle interfaces. An experiment was conducted to examine the visual demand of an in-vehicle interface prototype using both the existing (system-driven) occlusion method and the proposed (user-driven) one. Two in-vehicle tasks were evaluated: address input and radio tuning. The results showed that, for the radio tuning task, there were significant differences in total shutter open time and resumability ratio between the methods. The user-driven visual occlusion method not only allows a better representation of drivers' behavior, but it also seems to provide more information on the chunkability of a task.

생체신호 측정을 통한 운전자의 감정적 안정상태 평가 (Assessment of Driver's Emotional Stability by Using Bio-signals)

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to introduce a methodology to assess driver's emotion stability by using bio-signals. Background: Psychophysiological analysis of driver's behavior has been conducted to improve the driving safety and comfort. However, the variability of bio-signal and individual difference made it difficult to assess the psychophysiological status of drivers that can be expressed as emotional stability of drivers. Method: Two experimental studies were reviewed and summarized. New techniques assessing emotional stability of drivers were explained. Statistical concept and multidimensional space were used to identify the emotionally stable conditions. Conclusion: Psychophysiological approach can provide information of driver's emotional status. The experimental methodology and algorithm used in this study showed the possibility of parameterization of psychophysiological response. Application: Currently measured statistical and geometrical data can be further applied to develop an interactive device monitoring and reacting driver's emotion when driver experiences emotionally unstable or uncomfortable situation.
