  • This study is concerned with the operation algorithm and power switch drive circuit for DC Reactor Type High-Tc Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL). In the case of SFCL, Power switching operation algorithm are very important problem. So, this driving will determine the performance of SFCL. In this paper, we provide a simple algorithm and easy drive circuit. Through experiment we found that ideal is right.

  • The present paper investigates the optimal operation of a switched reluctance motor such that overall drive efficiency is maximized under a variable supply voltage. The operation under a variable supply voltage exhibits the improved drive efficiency in the full range of operating torque and speed, and exhibits the expanded range of operating torque and speed. Furthermore a variable supply voltage may be utilized in reducing torque ripple.

  • The paper describes the control strategy and hardware design for forced commutation cycloconverter which was developed for ac servo motor drive application of vector control. 12-pulse cycloconverter is used to investigate experimentally the performance of an induction motor drive system. The cycloconverter has the facility for continuous control of both the frequency and magnitude of the output voltage to keep a constant flux in the induction motors.

  • Generally, a switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive requires a rotor position sensor for commutation and current control. However, this position sensor causes an increase for cost and size of motor drive. In this paper, a sliding mode observer is proposed for indirect position sensing in SRM drive. This estimated rotor position is used for the electric commutation of the machine phases. The paper includes a design approach and operating performance based on the proposed sliding mode observer.

  • Nano drive control of five phase stepping motors is developed based on computational intelligence technology and it enables to drive into 5 million equiangular parts per revolution with keeping normal speed and torques. The experimental results of realizing high resolution/accuracy with low vibration and decreasing both heat loss and electric power consumption are mentioned.

  • This paper describes a drive circuit and control method for SRM motor with maximum torque region. The proposed switching method is tested by experiment on single salient type SRM motor. As a result, The SRM drive with the proposed scheme is effective in increasing of torque region.

  • This paper describes the position control method in yard crane drive system using Lonworks network, which is a leading industrial control network. The network is composed of host computer and three motor drive systems for both gantry and trolley position controls of both gantry and trolley are controlled with the simulator of yard crane, the size of which is about 1/10 with the real yard crane.

  • The ACF(Anisotropic Conductive Film) is used for bonding Drive IC and OLED display device panel. If ACF bonding process is problem, a malfunction of line defect can occur. Because electric resistance increase between the panel and drive IC after a period of time, drive IC can not supply enough current to the panel. This paper is studied on a method of test for line defect.
