목보조기의 적용 유무와 보행의 시공간적 변수와의 관계 (The relationship of between apply presence cervical orthosis and temporal parameters of gait)

  • Background : The purpose of this study was to apply cervical orthosis for temporal parameters of gait was to evaluate the effect. Methods : Seven normal adults participated in this study. Before and after applying a cervical orthosis compared to gait. Outcome measure were: general characteristics, temporal parameters of gait. General chacteristics included age, gender, height, weight. Temporal parameters included the Velocity cycle, Stride length, Step length, Cadence cycle, Initial double support time. Temporal parameters of gait, using the motion analysis system for cervical orthosis were evaluated before and after applying. The data was analyzed using SPSS 12.0 software and the Wilcoxon's signed-ranks test. Results : Velocity cycle and Step length were no significant differences(p>0.05). But Stride length, Cadence cycle, Initial double support time were significant(p<0.05). After apply Cervical orthosis in gait, Stride length and Initial double support time was decreased and Cadence cycle was increased. Conclusion : Changes in temporal of temporal parameters of gait was apply a cervical orthosis with the limitations of vision due to take effect. Therefore, Cervical orthosis does not interfere with the normal gait pattern by limiting the Range of Motion so that we consider to apply.

한국산 수소생산 남세균 종주들의 세포주기 동조화 (Synchronization of Cell Cycle in Korean Hydrogen Producing Cyanobacterial Strains)

  • Under a daily photoperiod of 14h light and 10h dark synchronization of cell cycle in Korean Cyanothece spp. strains and $Synechococcus$ sp. strain Miami BG043511 was analyzed as to be applicable to enhanced hydrogen production. For all strains peaks of double cell were observed during the light period of a daily cycle. Peaks of maximal cell size measured by a coulter counter appeared at the peak of double cells observed under light microscope reconfirming the synchronization of daily cell cycle. The cell cycle synchronization became weakened within two days when treated with continuous illumination. Rapid detection of the peak time of double cell percentage by coulter counters may contribute to quasi-realtime feedback control for efficient production of photobiological hydrogen by unicellular cyanobacterial strains.

  • Recently proposed organic flash cycle (OFC) was shown to potentially improve power generation using low grade heat source. In this paper, a thermodynamic performance is carried out for a modified OFC employed double expansions. Effects of the selection of working fluid and the important system parameters such as the temperatures in flash evaporators on the system performance were extensively investigated. Results showed that the system performances are strongly influenced with the system parameters and selection of the working fluid, and the power generation can be increased compared to the basic OFC.

  • 본 연구는 저온재생기에서 용액 재생 열원으로 저온열을 보조열원으로 이용가능한 2열원 2중효용 흡수 사이클특성을 규명하기 위한 방법으로 병렬 용액 순환형 2중 효용 흡수 사이클 해석을 수행한다. 본 해석은 저온 재생기에서 필요한 재생열의 일부를 태양열 또는 배열 등과 같은 저온 보조 가열원을 이용하여 열의 유용성 검증을 위한 기초 수단으로 가열원 입구 온도, 용액 순환량을 변화시켜 2중효용 parallel flow cycle 의 특성을 규명한다.

LATITUDINAL DISTRIBUTION OF SUNSPOTS AND DURATION OF SOLAR CYCLES

  • We study an association between the duration of solar activity and characteristics of the latitude distribution of sunspots by means of center-of-latitude (COL) of sunspots observed during the period from 1878 to 2008 spanning solar cycles 12 to 23. We first calculate COL by taking the area-weighted mean latitude of sunspots for each calendar month to determine the latitudinal distribution of COL of sunspots appearing in the long and short cycles separately. The data set for the long solar cycles consists of the solar cycles 12, 13, 14, 20, and 23. The short solar cycles include the solar cycles 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, and 22. We then fit a double Gaussian function to compare properties of the latitudinal distribution resulting from the two data sets. Our main findings are as follows: (1) The main component of the double Gaussian function does not show any significant change in the central position and in the full-width-at-half-maximum (FWHM), except in the amplitude. They are all centered at ~ 11° with FWHM of ~ 5°. (2) The secondary component of the double Gaussian function at higher latitudes seems to differ in that even though their width remains fixed at ~ 4°, their central position peaks at ~ 22.1° for the short cycles and at ~ 20.7° for the long cycles with quite small errors. (3) No significant correlation could be established between the duration of an individual cycle and the parameters of the double Gaussian. Finally, we conclude by briefly discussing the implications of these findings on the issue of the cycle 4 concerning a lost cycle.

  • This is to report the result of Development of Single effect/Double lift absorption chiller & heater which is used in the district heating net work. The heating cycle was newly developed to make the secondary hot water from evaporator and the cycle change-over function was added for the heating to the cooling mode and the cooling to the heating mode. Finally, it was assured through the site trial operation that the outlet temperature of primary hot water can be produced lower than $68^{\circ}C$ when the outlet temperature of secondary hot water is $60^{\circ}C$.

외경홈을 지닌 C형 시험편의 저주기 피로수명평가 (Low Cycle Fatigue Life Evaluation of External Grooved C-shaped Specimen)

  • A local strain approach was applied to an external single and double grooved C-shaped specimen in order to evaluate and predict the fatigue crack initiation life by using low cycle fatigue properties. The low cycle fatigue properties were determined from the strain-controlled fatigue tests using smooth cylindrical axial specimens. Fatigue crack initiation life was evaluated by a life prediction software, FALIPS, based on the local strain approach. The fatigue life was significantly influenced by the mean stress, and SWT parameter represented the fatigue life effectively. The predicted fatigue crack initiation life was then compared to the experimental fatigue life evaluated from the C-shaped fatigue test specimens. A good correlation was found between the experimental and predicted fatigue lives within factors of 2 and 4 for the single and double grooved C-shaped specimens respectively. Also, experimental fatigue life of the double grooved specimen was 10-12 times longer than that of the single grooved specimen.

  • 최근 컨테이너 터미널의 관리자들은 안벽의 생산성을 높이기 위해서 양 적하를 동시에 할 수 있는 더블 사이클이나 듀얼 사이클을 시도하고 있다. 하지만 실제 터미널의 데이터를 이용하여 듀얼 사이클을 발생시켰을 경우 YT(Yard Tractor) 배정 방법이나, QC(Quay Crane)의 작업의 속도, 야드의 수출컨테이너 위치 등에 따라 효율성이 저하 될 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 실제 터미널에서 듀얼 사이클을 사용할 때 효율성을 더 높일 수 있는 터미널 운영방법을 제시한다.

Deep reinforcement learning for optimal life-cycle management of deteriorating regional bridges using double-deep Q-networks

  • Optimal life-cycle management is a challenging issue for deteriorating regional bridges. Due to the complexity of regional bridge structural conditions and a large number of inspection and maintenance actions, decision-makers generally choose traditional passive management strategies. They are less efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This paper suggests a deep reinforcement learning framework employing double-deep Q-networks (DDQNs) to improve the life-cycle management of deteriorating regional bridges to tackle these problems. It could produce optimal maintenance plans considering restrictions to maximize maintenance cost-effectiveness to the greatest extent possible. DDQNs method could handle the problem of the overestimation of Q-values in the Nature DQNs. This study also identifies regional bridge deterioration characteristics and the consequence of scheduled maintenance from years of inspection data. To validate the proposed method, a case study containing hundreds of bridges is used to develop optimal life-cycle management strategies. The optimization solutions recommend fewer replacement actions and prefer preventative repair actions when bridges are damaged or are expected to be damaged. By employing the optimal life-cycle regional maintenance strategies, the conditions of bridges can be controlled to a good level. Compared to the nature DQNs, DDQNs offer an optimized scheme containing fewer low-condition bridges and a more costeffective life-cycle management plan.

가열금형을 사용하는 강철과 알루미늄 이종금속판재의 전기저항 이중스폿용접 (Electric Resistance Double Spot Welding Process of Dissimilar Metal Plates of Steel and Aluminum by Using Heating Dies)

  • In this paper, a double spot welding process, utilizing electric resistance heating dies, is suggested for the spot welding of dissimilar metal plates for drawing and concurrent spot welding. This double welding process has two heating methods for the fusion welding at the interfacial zone between steel and aluminum plates, such as heating method by thermal conduction of electric resistance by welding current induced to heating dies, and heating method by electric resistance between contacted surfaces of two plates by welding current induced to copper electrode. This double welding process has welding variables such as each current induced in heating dies and in copper electrode, outer diameters of heating dies, and edge shape of copper electrode. Experiments for current conditions in welding process should be demanded in order to get successful welding strength. It was known that the welding strength could be reached to the value demanded on industry fields under such welding conditions as heating dies of outer ring dia.12mm contacted on steel plate, as heating dies of outer ring dia. 14mm contacted on aluminum plate, and as copper electrode of dia. 6.0mm, and as 3 times continuous heating method by $1^{st}$ current of 11 kA(9cycle), $2^{nd}$ current 11 kA(60cycle), $3^{rd}$ current 7 kA(60cycle) applied in steel heating dies and copper electrodes, flat edge of copper electrode, for double spot welding process of dissimilar metal plates of steel and aluminum of 1.0 mm thickness.
