  • The concurrent injection of cosolvent and air, a cosolvent-air (CA) flood was recently suggested for a dense nonaqueous phase liquid (DNAPL) remediation technology. The objectives of this study were to elucidate the DNAPL removal mechanisms of the CA flood and to quantify mass transfer rate coefficients during CA flooding. DNAPL removal mechanisms were examined by evaluating the effects of air flow rate and DNAPL solubility and visually documented at a pore-scale. Two serial processes, immiscible displacement and dissolution, were experimentally and visually documented during CA flooding. Mass transfer rate coefficients (K) were computed from the data showing PCE saturation versus time. Results showed that CA floods exhibited higher K values than cosolvent floods without concurrent air injection. • We here document discovery of a new and simple model of tumor seeding involving the mouse peritoneum. Irradiated tumor cells administered by i.p. injection provided effective vaccination against peritoneal carcinomatosis and distal metastasis with colorectal carcinomas. In flow cytometric analysis, CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes, macrophages and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs), which are easy to obtain in the peritoneal cavity, were revealed to have significant differences between immunized and non-immunized mice and these contributed to antitumor responses. We also observed that both serum and peritoneal lavage fluid harvested from immunized mice showed the presence of CT26-specific autoantibodies. In addition, increase in level of TGF-${\beta}1$ and IL-10 in serum but a decrease of TGF-${\beta}1$ in peritoneum was found. Taken together, these findings may provide a new vaccine strategy for the prevention of peritoneal and even systemic metastasis of carcinomas through induction of an autoimmune response in the peritoneum.

  • Ciatation analysis is a information analysis method based on the phenomenon of citing previous documents in the source document. There are many well-known studies exploring citation analysis and it applications. This paper does not attempt to review this extensive area of applications, but to demonstrate the sociological aspect of citation analysis. Specifically, this paper have reviewed the citation analysis as a quantitative method for the studies of sociology of knowledge. For this, I have described various basic methods such as citation behavior, citation count, impact factor, citation relationship etc. And I have classified into four applied areas of sociology of knowledge; (1) flow of knowledge resources, (2) evaluation of knowledge resources, (3) evaluation of knowledge community, and (4) utilization in terms of knowledge policy. Finally, I have clarified the some limitations and shortcomings of citation analysis that have addressed by citation and citation analysis itself.

  • International standards claim the best possible reliability in industrial manufacturing processes. This is also essential for the application with manual applicators. The application of adhesives with manual applicators is one of the most frequently used application techniques. The range of application reaches from the building of prototypes in the automobile industry over the use in single or small-batch manufacturing up to applications in crafts enterprises. Conventional manual applicators for adhesives and sealants don't fulfill the demands in international standards for the best possible reliability. Only the worker is able to control the quality and the quantity of the bond. A velocity-controlled manual applicator solves these restrictions. Special sensors and micro controllers calculate the flow-rate, the velocity and the location of the manual applicator. This leads to stable and repeatable application processes which are claimed in international standards. The location of the bond can be compared with the nominal value, so that it is possible to check the quality of the bond during application. Furthermore there is the potential to document the data of the manufacturing process.

  • Offline-based study is proceeding effectively for directly teaching and communication between a learner and a professor. In general virtual education system have been solve this problem using provides search of particular learning domain and auto feedback of relative learning domain after examination. But the learner needs personally select the right document among search result set and interconnected precedence study domain. Therefore, the unskilled learner is difficult of learning progress over against offline-based study. This paper suggests a index mechanism of varied views for helps to learner understand the flow and direction of learning and correlation between units.

  • The importance on the flow to the lifelong education system has been growing, as the eternal education is in a pivotal position according to the education system all over the world is changing rapidly. In particular, although consolidating instructor competencies for lifelong education have become the subject of conversation, there has not been any clear concept of lifelong education instructors nor of the competencies for those. So this research defined lifelong education instructors who work at various lifelong education facilities, especially those who focus on lectures, and the instructor competencies, and make analysis and deductions what types of competencies are necessary for effective and efficient teaching. For this, the researcher derived the concept of instructors and the instructor competencies for lifelong education through document analysis, and based on that, discovered the instructor competencies for lifelong education by experts review and survey. The result revealed that there were four types of instructor competencies for lifelong education, which were planning, managing, administrating, and supporting and encouraging students. There were searching needs of students, analyzing, and 13 other criteria for planning; managing human resources, materials management, and 7 other for managing; expertise in learning contents and 13 other for administrating; and giving feedback and 3 other for supporting and encouraging students.

  • XPDL is a XML-based language for process definition exchange that is proposed by WfMC. This paper propose a model which model XPDL document structure (Schema) using UML in order to define and to exchange workflow process, and make business flow understanding ease for inter-business cooperation. So, we define mapping rules in which map XPDL documents into UML class diagram and UML activity diagram. By these mapping rules, elements composing XPDL process meta-model are mapped into UML class diagram, and process activities are mapped into UML activity diagram. Also, we apply proposed mapping technique to model a workflow of (')Credit card state check system.(')

  • Relational Database Management Systems have become de facto database model among most developers and users since the inception of Data Science. From IoT devices, sensors, social media and other sources, data is generated in structured, semi-structured and unstructured formats, in huge volumes, thereby the difficulty of data management greatly increases. Organizations that collect large amounts of data are increasingly turning to non relational databases - NoSQL databases. In this paper, through experiments with real field data, we demonstrate that MongoDB, a document-based NoSQL database, is a better alternative for building a Telco Subscriber Data Management System which hitherto is mainly built with Relational Database Management Systems. We compare the existing system in various phases of data flow with our proposed system powered by MongoDB. We show how various workloads at some phases of the existing system were either completely removed or significantly simplified on the new system. Based on experiment results, using MongoDB for managing telco subscriber data turned out to offer performance better than the existing system built with MSSQL Server.
