  • River facilities and port structures require a regular inspection and diagnosis due to obsolescence. Currently, most river facilities are undergoing indirect inspection and diagnosis by divers. The underwater inspections are not feasible due to safety issues of divers and restrictions on working hours and environment. To overcome these issues, it is intended to conduct inspections of river facilities using underwater drones. In this research, an underwater ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle) has been developed, which is a kind of drone with propellers. As a key device of this research, an injection device has been attached to the underwater drone to conduct an operation test, a stable operation test of an underwater drone, and a test of attached sensors. The river facility inspection can be carried out optimally using the hovering control of the drone and injection systems. With the developed ROV system, hovering test and injection test have been performed to verify the feasibility of this development.

  • In western clothing, woman's body was port-rayed sexually as the distinction of sex was appeared, and the parts of body contain some kind of symbol of sex. Woman's body was diversly accentuated according to the divers ideal beauty concepts pursuits in the different periods. Today, in a Post-industrial Society whose social structure is very divers and complicated, the interpretation of woman's body reveals so various as the complex social structure. The purpose of this study is to comprehend the various interpretations of woman's body in the contemporary clothing. The concrete purposes of this study is as follows. First, this study is to define the concept of natural body and built body by differentiating the parts of body and searching for the sexual symbols accentuated in the western clothing. Second this study aims to review, the histori-cal process of prejudged distinction of sex in the western clothing, and to analyse the con-temporary sociocultural which forced to change this prejudged distinction of sex. Third, on the bases of this analses, this study also aims to present various interpretation on divers aspects of woman's body portrayed in the contemporary clothing. The interpretation of woman's body in the contemporary clothing were as follow. First, it is a body interpreted as a natural and neutral body which is based not so much on prejudged division of sex as on the expression of the body structure. And, it is a decomposed and recomposed body which is based on plastic principles. This body is portrayed by a layer-ing and wrapping which interrogated such traditional symbols of western clothing as collar, sleeve or trousers, skirt, etc. Second, it is a sexually symbolized body. This body is display-ed by exposure or sexual accentuation in the clothing. To conclude, a body interpreted in the contemporary clothing is no more a body accentuated by division of sex, but a body which per-mits indefinite hypotheses and interpretations under synthetic imagination.

  • Underwater works are indispensable in the coastal and ocean engineering fields, and the reliance on manpower is higher than land works. Divers who work for a long time in a high-pressure underwater environment are always exposed to the risks of diving-related diseases. To prevent them, proper planning, operation, and management of diving by a supervisor with professional diving knowledge are required. This study provides the basic data for supervisors to plan, operate, and manage air diving for safe and efficient work in underwater construction sites. It is well-known that air diving simulations using the varying permeability model (VPM) require a longer decompression time as the water depth and the residence time in water increase. Therefore, it is crucial to have a proper surface interval through repetitive diving rather than single diving to improve the safety of the divers and the efficiency of underwater work. Furthermore, coastal and ocean engineers who manage and supervise underwater construction work must acquire expert knowledge on diving before they can plan, operate, and manage diving.

  • Seabird distribution in the East Sea was studied from April to May 2007 using line transect counts. We observed a total of 1,379 individuals of 23 species including 14 species of seabird. The overall seabird sighting rate was 2.5 birds $km^{-2}$. The Streaked shearwater(Calonectris leucomelas)(74.5%) was the numerically dominant species. Ancient murrelets(Synthliboramphus antiquus)(8.3%), red-throated divers(Gavia stellata)(5.0%), common terns(Sterna hirundo)(2.1%), Pacific divers(Gavia pacifica)(2.0%), and black-tailed gulls (Larus crassirostris)(1.1%) were also frequently observed. The sightings of seabirds was highest between $36^{\circ}N$ and $37^{\circ}N$ of the coastal area of the Korean peninsular. However, the index of species diversity(H') was higher between $35^{\circ}N$ and $36^{\circ}N$. The sighting rates of most observed species decreased with distance from the coastline. The distribution patterns of Streaked shearwater were linked to the variation in the distribution pattern of minke whales(Balaenoptera acutorostrata). Also, spatial segregation was found in the distributions of the two species of divers(Gavia spp.).

  • Sea-divers(woman) are living in coastal villages and their principal daily work is to dive into sea water in order to get sea-weeds, pearls etc. They are able to be stayed inside the water for a relatively long period and at the same time have a hard physical work during the period. Besides these works, they work also on farms and in homes in their rest time. Hwa-Jeon-Min('fire-field' farmers) are living in higher mountainous areas (plateau areas) and they burn off the ground for cultivation and obtain the crops on which they are living. Usually, they are far apart from cities and markets. The above mentioned two groups are special social groups in this country, consequently are interested in their food and nutritional habbits. The summarized surveyed results are as follows (See the Tables 1, 2, and 3). 1. In case of Sea-divers(woman): a. Staple foods are cereals, vegetables, and fishes and shell-fishes. These foods occupy 40%, 15%, and 24% respectively of all the foods intaken. b. Relatively large amount of protein and fat are intaken. Especially animal protein shows 64% of total protein intaken. c. Intake of vitamin $B_2$ is low but all other nutrients are intaken in relatively good amount. 2. In case of Hwa-Jeon-Min ('fire-field' farmers): a. Staple foods are cereals, potatoes, and vegetables. These foods occupy 61%, 19%, and 14% respectively of all the foods intaken. b. Intaken amount of animal foods is only 7 grams and this figure is only 0.1% of total foods intaken. c. Intake of animal protein is 0.4 to 0.6 grams per day and that of fats is 8 to 10 grams only. d. Intake of carbohydrate is very high. The calorie derived from the carbohydrate is 86% of total calorie intaken. e. Intakes of calcium, vitamin A, Vitamin $B_1$, Vitamin $B_2$, and niacin are low. Especially, calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin $B_2$ are deficient from their food habbits.

  • In neo-liberalism, the change-value of the market and of the machandise based on the individual as the consumer dominate the public sphere, and the capital power encroach on it. with the technological revolution. At the same time the public sphere as such represent the media sphere, which is more and more subordinate, and have no choice but to do to the governmental authority having political power privatized. The private usage of reason in the public sphere is carried out at the structual level. How can we call such a space in which the private usage of reason is generalized and dominant as the public sphere? And so now, we sound out the possibility of the public sphere such as a new space of the universality where the public usage of reason can be realized without any limits and with free. So, when we imagine the proletarian public sphere, in which co-exist the divers private interests, as a new public sphere capable to be constructed, we can address a question as follow. What is the caracteristic of the proletarian public sphere in modern society?, Is the public community able to be formed and realized in such space? How would have the proletarian public sphere the carateristics of the publis sphere? What is the attribute of the community that the proletarian public sphere would make, and what is its force of emancipation? The power is no longer stable and static. Rather, it is reconstructed and reorganized in the divers phases of the everyday life. It is the reason why we put on the order of the day the proletarian public sphere as alternative public space, which would be a place of divers hegemonic representation. And now, we are aware of the beginning of thses changes.

  • This study aimed to suggest education direction for diving safety through investigating actual condition to diving safety before and during scuba diving. The study subjects were 227 scuba divers. Data were collected from September 21, 2012 to August 16, 2013. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0. The results were as follows. Many higher level divers didn't obey regulations: 'alcohol drinking', 'warming-up exercise', 'to dive even when he/she suffers from respiratory disease' before scuba diving. Many lower level divers didn't obey regulations: 'to stop diving under abnormal physical condition', 'to do safety stop during ascending time', 'to check during ascending time', 'to know ascending and descending speed per minute', 'to use an alpha flag or buoy' during scuba diving. In conclusion, it is necessary to implement a discriminative safety education and to check actual condition to diving safety periodically in consideration of duration and level of diving.
