고압전동기 고정자 권선의 유전정접 특성 (Characteristics of Dissipation Factor in High Voltage Motor Stator Windings)

  • Diagnostic tests were performed in three high voltage motors. These tests included insulation resistance, polarization index, ac current, dissipation factor($tan{\delta}$) and partial discharge magnitude. The rewind of motor stator insulation at rated voltage is assessed by the results of these tests. After completing the diagnostic tests, the stator windings of motors were subjected to gradually increasing ac voltage, until the insulation punctured. NO.1 and No.2 motors failed near rated voltage of 14.0 kV, respectively. These motors are lower that expected for good quality coils in 6.6 kV class motors. The breakdown voltage of No.3 motor was 15.0 kV.

  • A Modified equivalent circuit by combining a series and parallel of polymer matrix for estimating the dielectric constant ${\bar{K}}_{33}$ values changing the volume percent of $PbTiO_3$, the dependences of frequency for the 713 and dissipation factor for 0 - 3 composites was derived. The difference of the dielectric constant and dissipation factor between the calculated and measured values became smaller at higher volume percent of $PbTiO_3$. There was, good agreement between the calculated and observed results for 70 volume percent of $PbTiO_3$ and 30 volume percent of Eccogel composite at 1(KHz), 25($^{\circ}C$). The optimized variable x was 0.94 in $PbTiO_3$ ceramics. $PbTiO_3$ powder and Eccogel polymer were used as piezoelectric fillers and matrix, respectively.

  • High Voltage cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cables are widely used in a thermal power plant. These cables had been in service for 26 years. The insulation condition of six 6 kV XLPE cables was estimated by insulation diagnostic analyzer (IDA) with voltage amplifier. IDA was measured dissipation factor and capacitance of the whole cable as a function of frequency and voltage. This system measures in the frequency range from 0.1 to 10 Hz at each voltage level. Six XLPE cables are judged good condition, but three cables are analyzed at an aged condition.

  • SiO₂ thin films are fabricated using sol-gel method and dipping method. Gelation time is faster according to increasing the amount of H₂O except H₂O/Si(OC₂H/sub 5/)₄=4. Initial viscosity is highest at H₂O/Si(OC₂H/sub 5/)₄=6. Gelation time is faster according to increasing the amount of CH₃COOH. The relative dielectric constant of thin films decreases a little according to increasing the measuring frequency. The dielectric dissipation factor of thin films increases a little below 100kHz and it increases rapidly over 100kHz.

전자선 조사에 따른 변압기유의 전기적 특성 (Electrical Properties of Transformer Oils due to Electron Beam Irradiation)

  • In this paper the change of electrical properties of transformer oil due to electron beam irradiation is investigated. The specimens are produced with a some different dose of 0.5[Mrad], 1[Mrad] and 2[Mard] except for original specimen. The physical properties of each specimen is analyzed by using the FT-IR spectrum. So it is confirmed that carbonyl groups are increased according to the increase of electron beam dose and also that the nitric compounds are disappeared. The magnitude of dielectric dissipation factor appears maximum value by the contribution of dipoles and ions in the low temperature low voltage region and it is stable due to the saturation of carriers in the high temperature high voltage region in the electric conduction characteristics. Volume resistivity is also measured one of original specimen is larger than irradiated specimen.

  • The insulation condition of stator windings was measured by dissipation factor($tan{\delta}$) test in the six high voltage motors(rated 6.6kV) which had been in service for two years. The ${\Delta}tan{\delta}$ of motor D and E was higher than that of the rest motors. The specimens were drawn out from stator windings of the high voltage motor and their were analyzed using scanning electron microscope (SEM). SEM result shows that large voids are present in the interface both turn insulation and groundwall insulation.

  • This paper describes the dissipation factor measuring device for insulating oil in operating pole transformer by DSP(digital signal processor). After applying voltage to the sensor which is installed in a transformer, acquire source voltage and current of sensor using FFT techniques, then we could evaluate the dissipation factor of insulating oil. To improve measuring accuracy and processing speed, we use TMS320C31 DSP, FFT and data analysis techniques. Also we suggest deterioration criterion of insulating oil and compared the developed diagnosis device with schering bridge on deteriorated insulating oil. The result of this paper show that the developed measuring device can be used as diagnosis device for the pole transformers.

  • The fiber reinforced composite materials is widely used in aircraft, space structures and robot arms because of high specific strength and high specific modulus. The on-line cure monitoring during the cure process of the composite materials has become an important research area for the better quality and productivity. In this paper, the dielectric circuit of the wheatstone bridge type for measuring the dissipation factor was designed and manufactured. Also, the dielectric sensor for the cure monitoring of the high temperature composites was developed. The residual thermal stresses of the dielectric sensor were analyzed by the finite element method and its dielectric characteristics under high temperature were evaluated. The on-line cure monitoring of the BMI resin was performed using the wheatstone bridge type circuit and developed high-temperature dielectric sensor.

  • Influence of the metallization during the manufacturing of the ceramic multilayer capacitor on the dielectric properties was studied as a change of the capacity and the dissipation factor. Due to the change of the relative dielectric constant as a function of the measuring temperature the influence of the metallization could be obtained and the change of the dissipation factor as a function of the measuring frequency was anaysed. In order to investigate the boundary effect between the metallization and the dielectric a kind of microstructure model at the internal Grain and Grain Boundary was constructed and tried to analyse the change of the dielectric properties.

  • Insulation breakdown of water-cooled generator stator windings occurs frequently due to leakage of cooling water and absorption into the insulation material. Leakage and absorption problems of water-cooled stator windings are often found during regular preventive maintenance. To evaluate cooling water leakage and absorption, diagnostic tests were performed on two water-cooled turbine generators, which have been in service for 13 and 17 years, respectively. The test results of the measured electrical properties such as dissipation factor($tan{\delta}$), capacitance and AC leakage current for water-cooled generator stator windings with wet bars are reported in this paper.
