  • Today's Internet is one of the necessaries of our life. Anomalies of the Internet provoke social problems. For that reason, Internet Measurement which studies characteristics on Internet traffic attracts pubic attention. Recently, Traffic Dispersion Graph (TDG), a novel traffic analysis method, was proposed. The TDG is not a statistical analysis method but a graphical visualization method on interactions among network components. In this paper, we propose a new anomaly detection paradigm and its technique using TDG. The existing studies have focused on detecting anomalous packets of flows. On the other hand, we focus on detecting the sources of anomalous traffic. To realize our paradigm, we designed the TDG Clustering method. Through this method, we could classify anomalous hosts infected by various worm viruses. We obtained normal traffic through dropping traffic of the anomalous hosts. Especially, we expect that the TDG clustering method can be applied to real-time anomaly detection because calculations of the method are fast.

  • In order to synthesize polymer particle containing inorganic material, styrene and n-butylmethacrylate were copolymerized with alumina by dispersion polymerization. The weight ratio of styrene to n-butylmethacrylate was 3 : 1. A poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidon) was added as stabilizer. 2,2'-AzobisCisobutyronitrile) and 3-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane were used as initiator and coupling agent, respectively. The weight ratio of 70 : 30 of isopropanol to distilled water was used as dispersion medium. According to the TEM measurement, we could confirm that alumina was dispersed into the polymer particle. The increase 'of concentration of alumina resulted in enhancement of particle size, but decreased its distribution. By the XRD method, it was found that the increase of alumina concentration showed the increase of intensity in peak and the increased 2$\theta$ value. From the TGA measurement, the increase of alumina concentration caused high heat resistance of the polymer. With respect to the type of initiator, the longer half life of initiator, the smaller particle size. We also found that the increase of particle stabilizer concentration made the decreased of particle size due to the accelerated generation of polymer particle in the early stage of reaction.

  • This paper presents a experimental study on the performance of the heat pump. Uncertainty of measurement means the degree of uncertainty in the measurement. Therefore, it estimates a section where expected value of the measurement might be within a certain confidence level and suggests a range where measured representative value might be incorrect. Uncertainty of measurement is a parameter that shows characteristics of dispersion of measured value that was reasonably estimated from measured quantity. Measurement result of performance experiment is not a true value but estimated value that was estimated reasonably. Therefore, uncertainty of measurement needs to be calculated and presented with the result of measurement.

  • Processible polyaniline (PAM) dispersions consisting of polyaniline micro-particles, cyclohexanone, and a polymeric surfactant were prepared in a micro-milling machine with various mixing conditions. The electrochemical properties of the dispersion film coated on Pt electrode were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The electrochemistry of the PAM dispersion coatings was basically similar to a pure PAM coating based on the results of CV. The results of polarization measurements and open circuit potential measurements carried out in $3\;wt.\%$ NaCI solution showed increase in corrosion potential when the PANI dispersion coatings applied on steel surface. Variation of open circuit potential $(OCP,\;V_{OC})$ of the dispersion coating/steel electrodes was observed, which differed with milling conditions. The results demonstrated practical use of the conducting polymer dispersion as a coating material for corrosion prevention of steel.

  • This work is aimed to explore a possibility of using the generalized Lamb waves for nondestructive evaluation of the bonding quality of layered substrates. For this purpose, we prepared two sets of specimens with imperfect bonding at their interfaces; 1) TiN-coated specimens with various wear conditions, and 2) CVD diamond specimens with various cleaning conditions. A dispersion simulation performed for layered substrates with imperfect interfaces are carried out to get the characteristics of dispersion curves that can be used for bonding quality evaluation. Then the characteristics of dispersion curves of the fabricated specimens are experimentally determined by use of an ultrasonic backward radiation measurement technique. The results obtained in the present study show that the lowest velocity mode (Rayleigh-like) of the generalized Lamb waves are sensitively affected by the bonding quality. Therefore, the generalized Lamb waves can be applied for nondestructive evaluation of imperfect bonding quality in various layered substrates.

  • To characterize the biological tissue, the new method to measure the ultrasonic velocity is presented in this paper. The influence of the dispersion effect on the estimation of the ultrasonic velocity is mostly neglected. A more efficient method determining the minimum phase spectrum is developed to characterize the frequency dispersion form the spectral magnitude function. To eliminate the frequency dispersion, the signal-decomposition method is also proposed. Computer simulations are performed to verify the algorithms.

  • Complex dispersion relations in a cylindrical, foam-lined duct were successfully identified by using an iterative Prony series method. Techniques for using the iterative procedure successfully are described in detail, particularly with regard to model order selection and the identification of parameter starting values. It is shown that modal wave speeds and spatial attenuations per wavelength can be derived from the complex dispersion relations obtained using the iterative procedure. In addition, a finite element simulation is shown to well represent corresponding experimental measurement in terms of modal wave speeds and spatial attenuations.

  • We measured an anisotropy inhomogeniety and dispersion of rf sputterd permalloy thin films by TBP(Transverse Biased Permeability) measurement method. Angular distribution function had a shape similar to the Lorentzian distribution, but magnitude distribution function deviates from the sysmetric Lorentzian distribution because of long tail to the region of a high Hk value. With increasing film thickness, the angular and magnitude anisotropy dispersion increased. The increase of angular dispersion was due to both the increase of grain size and local anisotropy in thicker films.

  • It is well-known fact that tidal difference between the ebb and flow in Yellow Sea is about 9 m so that it has largest value in the world. This wide range of tide level enables Yellow Sea water to intrude into main stream of Han River. However, the study of the tidal reach of Han River has not been carried out thoroughly since North and South Koreas share this region so that topography data and physical measurement are lacking. In this study, to examine the reverse flow and dispersion behavior by tidal effect at the tidal reach of Han River, 2-D river analysis models were applied. RMA-2 was applied to calculate the horizontal velocities and water surface elevation. With the results of velocities and water depth, RAM4, which is 2-D advection-dispersion model based on FEM was simulated to analyze the horizontal transport behavior of BOD.
