A many-to-many k-disjoint path cover (k-DPC) of a graph G is a set of k disjoint paths joining k distinct source-sink pairs in which each vertex of G is covered by a path. In this paper, we investigate many-to-many 2-DPC in a double loop network G(mn;1,m), and show that every nonbipartite G(mn;1,m), $m{\geq}3$, has 2-DPC joining any two source-sink pairs of vertices and that every bipartite G(mn;1,m) has 2-DPC joining any two source-sink pairs of black-white vertices and joining any Pairs of black-black and white-white vertices. G(mn;l,m) is bipartite if and only if n is odd and n is even.

Routing and wavelength assignment problem is one of the most important issues in optical transport networks based on wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) technique. In this paper, we propose a novel approach using path conflict graphs and an algorithm for finding all edge disjoint paths. And then we compare the performance of the proposed algorithm with that of bounded greedy approach for EDP(BGAforEDP). The proposed one outperforms up to about 20$\%$ in the fixed traditional topology(NSFNET) and about 32$\%$ in random topologies over the BGA for EDP algorithm.
An unpaired many-to-many k-disjoint nth cover (k-DPC) of a graph G is a set of k disjoint paths joining k distinct sources and sinks in which each vertex of G is covered by a path. Here, a source can be freely matched to a sink. In this paper, we investigate unpaired many-to-many DPC's in a subclass of hpercube-like interconnection networks, called restricted HL-graphs, and show that every n-dimensional restricted HL-graph, $(m{\geq}3)$, with f or less faulty elements (vertices and/or edges) has an unpaired many-to-many k-DPC for any $f{\geq}0\;and\;k{\geq}1\;with\;f+k{\leq}m-2$.

This paper proposes a k-disjoint-path routing algorithm that provides energy efficient and reliable message transmission in wireless sensor networks. The proposed algorithm sends messages through a single path without the occurrence of critical events. However, it sends through k disjoint paths(k>1) under the occurrence of critical events. The proposed algorithm detects the occurrence of critical events by monitoring changing data patterns, and calculates k from a well-defined fault model and the target-delivery ratio. Our simulations reveal that the proposed algorithm is more resilient to node failure than other routing algorithms, and it also decreases energy consumption and reduces the average delay much more than multi-path and path-repair algorithms.
Owing to limited energy in wireless devices power saving is very critical to prolong the lifetime of the networks. In this regard, we designed a cross-layer optimization mechanism based on power control in which source node broadcasts a Route Request Packet (RREQ) containing information such as node id, image size, end to end bit error rate (BER) and residual battery energy to its neighbor nodes to initiate a multimedia session. Each intermediate node appends its remaining battery energy, link gain, node id and average noise power to the RREQ packet. Upon receiving the RREQ packets, the sink node finds node disjoint paths and calculates the optimal power vectors for each disjoint path using cross layer optimization algorithm. Sink based cross-layer maximal minimal residual energy (MMRE) algorithm finds the number of image packets that can be sent on each path and sends the Route Reply Packet (RREP) to the source on each disjoint path which contains the information such as optimal power vector, remaining battery energy vector and number of packets that can be sent on the path by the source. Simulation results indicate that considerable energy saving can be accomplished with the proposed cross layer power control algorithm.

MRNS network is a general algebraic structure of Hypercube network which has recently drawn considerable attention to supercomputing and message-passing communication. In this paper, we investigate the routing of a message in an n- dimensional MRNS network that is a key to the performance of this network. On the n-dimensional MRNS network we would like to transmit packets from a source node to a destination node simultaneously along a fixed number of paths, where the superscript packet will traverse along the superscript path. In order for all packets to arrive at the destination node quickly and securely, the ith path must be node-disjoint from all other paths. By investigating the conditions of node-disjoint paths, we will employ the special matrices called as the Hamiltonian Circuit Latin Square(HCLS) described in 〔1〕to construct a set of node-disjoint paths and suggest a linear-time parallel routing algorithm for the MRNS network.

Multipath routing is one of challenging issues for improving the reliability of end-to-end data delivery in wireless sensor networks. Recently, a disjointedness and management of path have been studying to enhance the robustness and efficiency of the multipath routing. However, previous multipath routing protocols exploit the disjointed multipath construction method that is not to consider the wireless communication environment. In addition, if a path failures is occurred due to the node or link failures in the irregular network environment, they maintain the multipath through the simple method that to construct a new extra path. Even some of them have no a method. In order to cope with the insufficiency of path management, a hole detouring scheme, to bypass the failures area and construct the new paths, was proposed. However, it also has the problem that requires a heavy cost and a delivery suspension to the some or all paths in the hole detouring process due to the centralized and inflexible path management. Due to these limitations and problems, the previous protocols may lead to the degradation of data delivery reliability and the long delay of emergency data delivery. Thus, we propose a flexible disjoint multipath routing protocol which constructs the radio disjoint multipath by considering irregular and constrained wireless sensor networks. It also exploits a localized management based on the path priority in order to efficiently maintain the flexible disjoint multipath. We perform the simulation to evaluate the performance of the proposed method.

In this paper, we propose a new multi-path routing protocol to provide reliable and stable data transmission in MANET that is composed of high-mobility nodes. The new multi-path routing establishes the main route by the mechanism based on AODV, and then finds the backup route that node-disjoint from the main route by making add nodes in the main route not participate in it. The data transmission starts immediately after finding the main route. And the backup route search process is taking place while data is transmitted to reduce the transmission delay. When either of the main route or the backup route is broken, data is transmitted continuously through the other route and the broken route is recovered to node-disjoint route by the route maintenance process. The result of the simulation based on the Qualnet simulator shows that the backup route exists 62.5% of the time when the main route is broken. And proposed routing protocol improved the packet transmission rate by 2~3% and reduced the end-to-end delay by 10% compared with AODV and AODV-Local Repair.
A. Ghafoor proposed Even networks as a class of fault-tolerant multiprocessor networks in [1] and analyzed so many useful properties include node disjoint paths. By introducing node disjoint paths in [1], fault diameter of Even networks is d+2(d=odd) and d+3(d=even). But the lengths of node disjoint paths proved in [1] are not the shortest. In this paper, we show that Even network Ed is node symmetric. We also propose the shortest lengths of node disjoint paths using cyclic permutation, and fault diameter of Even networks is d+1.
