  • We define de Sitter focal surfaces and hyperbolic focal surfaces of hyperbolic space curves. As an application of the theory of unfoldings of function germs, we investigate the singularities of these surfaces. For characterizing the singularities of these surfaces, we discover a new hyperbolic invariants and investigate the geometric meanings.

  • Genome mining has recently emerged as a powerful strategy to discover novel microbial secondary metabolites. However, more than 50% of biosynthetic gene clusters are not transcribed under standardized laboratory culture condition. Several methods have been applied to activate silent biosynthetic gene clusters in the microbes so far. Among the regulatory systems for production of secondary metabolites, global regulators, which affect transcription of genes through regulatory cascades, typically govern the production of small molecules. In this review, global regulators to affect production of microbial secondary metabolites were discussed.

  • There are increasing number of optical sky surveys for time-series observations, aiming to discover either photometric variations(variable stars, microlensing, or transients) or astrometric variations(near-earth objects, trans-neptunian objects). Some surveys, including YSTAR, use a single filter in order to increase the survey efficiency. However, the traditional method of atmospheric extinction and standardization requires the measurement of source color in at least two passbands. (omitted)

  • In the present article we consider multiparameter maximal averages and discover the crucial roles played by the number of parameters in their boundedness properties. The problem we shall deal with is initiated by Rubio de Francia [8] and will be in the spirit of an inductive extension to multiparameter cases, in which tools of our study rely on the theory of Harmonic Analysis on product spaces. Suppose that $d_\mu$ is a complex Borel measure supported on a compact subset S of $R^N$ having total mass one, $\smallint_S d_\mu = 1$.

  • Recentadvancesin '-omics ' technologies enable us to discover more diverse disease- relevant target proteins, which encourages us to find out more target-specific novel lead compounds as new drug candidates. Therefore, high-throughput screening (HTS) becomes an essential tool in this area. Among many HTS tools, in silico HTS is a very fast and cost-effective tool to try to derive a new lead compound for any new targets, especially when the target protein structures are known or readily modeled. • The purpose of this research was to understand the successful establishment of the cultural industry chain in Korea and discover lessons for China to improve its cultural industry. It was concluded that a one-industry development pattern cannot win in market competition and a cultural industry will strengthen its sustainability only through smoothing its relationship with other industries and establishing a cultural industry chain so as to further development and resist crises together.

  • Basic objective in cluster analysis is to discover natural groupings of items or variables. In general, variable clustering was conducted based on some similarity measures between variables which have binary characteristics. We propose a variable clustering method when variables have more categories ordered in some sense. We also consider some measures of association as a similarity between variables. Numerical example is included.

  • The propose of this study is to discover the extrusion lightweight concrete panel mixing by admixture. The standard of water ratio 50% and weight substitution 0%, 10% by Fly-ash. When the products are manufactured, it is used to maintain its form weight substitution and addition among the viscosity agent each Silica-fume and Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose. The study is basic properties and performances of extrusion lightweight concrete panels. Testing methods was specific gravity, water absorption, resistance to impact, thermal conductivity, and sound insulation.

  • From the view of natural language process, quantitative linguistic analysis is a linguistic study relying on statistical methods, and is a mathematical linguistics in an attempt to discover various linguistic characters by interpreting linguistic facts quantitatively through statistical methods. In this study, I would like to introduce a quantitative linguistic analysis method utilizing a computer and statistical methods on literary works. I also try to introduce a use of SynKDP, a synthesized Korean data process, and show the relations between distribution of linguistic unit elements which are used by the hero in a novel #Sassinamjunggi# and theme analysis on literary works.
