한국 아파트의 "획일화" 비판에 관한 재고찰 (Re-examination of Criticism on the "Uniformity" of Korean Apartments)

  • Current criticism regarding the "uniformity" of Korean apartments has shown not only tendencies of emotional and unscholarly criticism, but also lack of academic discourse. They tend to stay at the common-sense level and be quite subjective without supporting facts. This research began with questioning the phenomenon of seeing Korean apartments as an object of negative criticism. The research questions for this study are: 1. Of the living space of so-called apartment houses, what elements should be called uniform?; 2. How should the implications of the findings be interpreted? In this context, this study aims to reinterpret criticisms on the uniformity of apartments from a new point of view. First, literature review is done to examine characteristics of Korean apartments in the social-cultural, economic, and physical contexts. Next, existing non-academic, abstract criticisms are classified into three trends, to show that the way of understanding architectural spaces by those criticisms are limited and weighted towards visual perceptions focused only on the shape of architectural structures. Finally, it is argued that the viewpoints of space and residents' experience should be treated as important for the reinterpretation of criticisms on the uniformity. This is validated through presenting relevant cases such as changes of space uses, diversified lifestyles being accepted, and the expansion of living space.

르네 샤르에서 이육사로 : 저항의 포-에티크 (From René Char to Yi Yuk-Sa : Po-ethica of the Resistance)

  • $Ren{\acute{e}}$ Char and Yi Yuk-Sa have similarities to be accepted as representative poet of resistance in France and South Korea's history of literature. These similarities lead us to make a comparative study on two poets not having any positive influencing relationship. Their experiences as a independence fighter have a great effect on their whole works. This study applies concept of "Po-ethica" to compare features and values about their works. This concept anticipates ethical and existential throwbacks not an aesthetic throwback. Their poems are remarkable that they not only present a ethical perspectives surpassing the "lettrism" but also show the lyricism in poems of resistance surpassing patriotic and ideological appeal. This lyricism results from the pursuits of a true life not a confidence of the goodness. The similarities and differences in their works can be a clue for rediscovering the meaning and values of poems of resistance. Rilke said, "The Poem is the experience". Char's poems are more experiential than any other poet's poems. His poems of resistance show a personal life than deconstruction of discourse such as nationality and father land. On the other hand, Yuk-Sa's poems show a prospect of nature and the macrocosm. This naturalization of a resistance surpass a pastoral attitude of forgetting their phases of the times and reality. Therefore, their "Po-ethica" of resistance is valid today.

WHO의 게임 이용 장애 질병 코드화 이후 언론의 게임 보도에 대한 내용 분석 (Content Analysis of News Coverage on Games after the Inclusion of Gaming Disorder in ICD-11)

  • 본 연구는 게임 이용 장애 질병 코드화라는 맥락에서 게임에 대한 언론 보도의 특징을 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 위해 2019년 5월부터 2020년 8월까지 국내 5개의 종합일간지에 보도된 게임 기사 694건을 분석했다. 그 결과, 게임 산업에 대한 보도의 비율이 매우 높았으나 주로 산업 동향·기업사 경영 현황에 관한 보도였다. 정책 보도는 규제 정책이 압도적으로 많았고 특히 중독 관련 정책 보도가 주를 이뤘다. WHO의 질병 코드화를 찬성하는 의견만 다룬 보도는 매우 적었고 반대하는 의견만 다루는 보도와 찬반 의견을 모두 다루는 보도량이 비슷한 비율을 보였다. 반대 근거로는 산업계와 학계의 관점이 반영돼 있었다. 이용 효과 보도는 매우 낮은 비율을 보였으나 게임을 극단적인 범죄·일탈행위의 원인으로 보도하는 기존 관행을 그대로 따르고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The Psychiatrist and the Revolutionary: Frantz Fanon's Critique of Colonial Discourse

  • This article offers a reflection on Frantz Fanon's diagnosis and analysis of French colonialism in Algeria. We will attempt to demonstrate that there is a concrete and clear connection between Fanon as the psychiatrist diagnosing the devastating effects of the French colonial system, and his subsequent political involvement in the Algerian revolution. This is not to say that each part does not contain valuable insights in their own rights, but rather to stress that without being read together, as a whole, one would miss a significant element in the understanding of the importance Fanon's thought subsequently came to play in the emancipation struggles of the colonized worldwide. Furthermore, we argue that it is crucial to understand the intimate connection between Fanon's psychiatric work, his diagnosis of colonial mental disorders, as well as diagnosis of the colonial system as such, and then his political engagement, in order to understand the particular context in which he favourably discusses the use of violence in the name of fighting against the oppressive system of colonialism. Above all, we argue that Fanon's critique of colonialism continues to spark controversy because it still represents the most powerful and incisive analysis of, as well as answer to, the troubled relationship between the blessed and the wretched of the earth.

The New Definition of Creative Leadership in the Communication Design Industry - Focused on the 4th Industrial Revolution

  • The aim of this paper is to discuss how designers lead and direct 'technology-driven society' using their creative communication skill. To this end, it is required for communication designers to take conscious steps to recognize the future direction of their profession. Despite the advancement in technology, there is a human being at the center of all design activities. From a certain point of view, contemporary communication design takes an open-ended exploration of the subject matter, rather than a finished output. The notion of creative leadership may potentially expand more in terms of improving the methodology of today's visual culture. The paper will examine creative leadership that could be proposed by the challenge of discourse upon the upcoming industrial revolution. Today, communication designers are confronted by new leadership opportunities and challenges. Some leading designers seem to focus on brand new media technologies to prepare the 4th industrial revolutions. However, communication design cannot be discussed in the medium but can be understood as a process. Top-down and bottom-up process is always a concerned about the relationship since the focus of leadership has changed. In the top-down process, the leadership has existed between 'designer and client' because designers have played their role as a problem solver. On the other hand, there is a different model of leadership between 'design and technology' based on bottom-up process, which stem from the design authorship. In this regard, the new definition of creative leadership in the $4^{th}$ industrial revolution proposes a designer as a problem-finder based on the relationship between the 'designer and the public'.

예카테리나 2세의 문학과 18세기 후반 러시아 프리메이슨의 형상: 예카테리나 2세의 '안티-프리메이슨 삼부작'을 중심으로 (The literature of Catherine II and the image of freemason in the late 18th century Russia: the case of anti-freemason trilogy from Catherine II)

  • This article attempts to explore the literature of Catherine the second, focusing on her comedies in the light of anti-freemasonry in the late 18th-centuryof Russia. Her main idea towards social morals was consistently expressed from in her early comedies during 1770s, such as 'Oh! times!'(1772), to her late counterparts during 1880s, such as so called 'anti-freemason trilogy,' which includes 'the deceiver'(1785), 'the deceived one'(1785) and 'Siberian shaman'(1786). By depicting antagonists-freemasons in her own trilogy, only as alchemists, shamans, fallacious chemists, hypocritical medical doctors, and so on, Caterine the second intended to undermine the mason influence against Russian Empire, which had ideationally attracted Russian nobles and intellectuals and furthermore to reinforce her political control over the intellectuals as well as the public. The above literacy attempts by Catherine can be said to aim to found morals of her own era through the utilization of social discourse, rather than through the political or governmental control.

유아 대상 난민교육 프로그램 개발 및 실행 (A Study on the Development and Implementation of Refugee Education Programs for Early Childhood)

  • Objective: The objective of this study was to develop a refugee education program for early childhood and apply it in daycare center settings to examine the reactions of children aged 5. Methods: Referring to Kemmis and McTaggart(1988) action research model, the refugee education program recommended by UNHCR, and linking it with the national Nuri-curriculum in Korea, a total of five sessions of a refugee education program for early childhood were developed and applied to 20 children aged 5. Results: The application of the preschool refugee education program resulted in positive changes in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects. These changes provided opportunities for early childhood to practice respect towards others, fostering a broader understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures. Conclusion/Implications: This study holds significance in contributing to the discourse on the necessity and direction of refugee education through the development and application of a refugee education program for early childhood. It is anticipated that this research will stimulate in-depth discussions on educational approaches that foster early childhood interest in global issues and cultivate a sense of global citizenship and attitude in the future.

배설에 대한 협력적 모델링 과정에서 나타난 중학교 학생들의 대화적 논변활동 탐색 (Exploring Secondary Students' Dialogic Argumentation Regarding Excretion via Collaborative Modeling)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 배설에 대한 소집단 모델링 기반 탐구 활동에서 나타나는 중학생들의 대화적 논변활동 과정에서 담화 이동 흐름과 합의에 이르는 추론 과정을 심층적으로 탐색하는 것이다. 참여 학생들은 영재원 중학교 학생들 17명이며, 3~4명이 한 소집단을 이루었다. 배설에 대한 소집단 모델링 활동 중에서 치킨을 먹은 후 체내에서 생성되는 노폐물(암모니아)는 우리 몸에서 어떻게 될지 설명하는 초기 모델을 형성하는 활동을 대상으로 분석이 이루어졌다. 학생들의 모델링 활동 중 논변적 상호작용을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 확인할 수 있었다. 우선, 최초의 주장이 나타나는 잠정적 합의하기, '질문하기'와 '의미 명확히 하기'가 나타나는 불확실성 해결하기와 같은 공통적인 논변활동 단계가 나타났고, 다양한 주장이 존재한 소집단에서는 합의하기 단계가 추가적으로 나타나 '주장변경하기'의 담화 이동이 나타났다. 합의에 도달하기 위해 협력적으로 다른 사람의 논변에 참여했다는 측면에서 대화적 논변활동이 나타난 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 학생들의 논변활동에서 불확실성 해결하기 단계에서 비판적 질문을 하는 과정과 합의하기 단계에서 주장을 정당화하는 추론 과정에서 소집단 합의가 일어나도록 하는 대화적 논변활동 과정을 확인할 수 있었다. 비판적 질문을 통해 기존의 주장이 강화되거나 탈락되어 학생들은 자신의 주장을 변경하거나 새로운 주장을 제시하기도 하였다. 소집단 합의가 나타나는 순간의 추론을 분석해보면, 학생들은 개인 경험에 근거한 추론을 위한 자료 출처보다 과학적 사실에 근거한 추론을 위한 자료 출처를 선호하였으며 다양한 논변의 정당화 분석틀로 정당화를 하여 소집단 주장을 공고히 하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 과학 수업에서 대화적 논변활동 맥락을 이해하고 반영할 수 있는 교육적 함의를 제공해줄 수 있을 것이다.

17·18세기 류큐(琉球) 사서(史書) 소재 왕통(王統) 시조 신화와 왕권의 논리 (Myths for Kingship of the Ryukyu Kingdom in the 17th and 18th Centuries)

  • In the 17th and 18th centuries, when the Ryukyu kingdom had been invaded and controlled by Japan, some official texts about 'history' were documented. In that texts, there are some myths about the kings-Syunten(舜天), Eiso(英祖), Satto(察度), Syouhasi(尙巴志), Syouen(尙圓)-who founded dynasties of Ryukyu kingdom. This study attempts to delineate the features and meaning of those founder myths as a polotial discourse for kingship. The results of this study are as follows. 1. The founder myths are discourses to describe the genealogy of the Ryukyu kingdom as the result of Mandate of Heaven(T'ien Ming, 天命). 2. In ancient okinawa, the sun was a symbol of ruler. The king of Ryukyu kingdom was thought as 'son of the sun', 'Tedako(てだこ, 太陽子) in the time of Syou dynasty(尙王朝). But in the founder myths, the only one Tedako is Eiso. 3. In the myths, the 'historical' founders are described as the king for agriculture. They were said to make the farming instruments with iron and rule the spring water for farming. The iron and water for fariming was thought to represent the power of king and the kingship. 4. The writers of myths aimed to be separated from the mythical kingship of past Ryukyu(古琉球). So, they threw the idea of Tedako(=mythical kingship) into the prison of mythical ages by rewriting myth of King Eiso. Instead of it, they built up the new image of agriculture-king who rules and controlls the iron and water for good farming. The meaing of this change, from 'shiny sun' to 'cultural king', is that the abstract and general power of kingship was turned into a concrete and restricted power of kingship. On the bases of it, there was the confucian political ideas from China, T'ien Ming thought(天命論). Under the influence of not only China but also Japan, the writers of myths attempt to find a new way for their kingdom by reconstructing kingship with ruminating over the kingship of past. The myth of founders in the 17th and 18th Centuries shows the aspects of kingship of Ryukyu kingdom and tells us that those myths are the political discourses identifying kingship and Ryukyu kingdom.

대중음악 오디션 프로그램의 진정성 담론 전략에 관한 탐색적 연구 - <미스터트롯>을 중심으로 - (An Exploratory Study on the Authenticity Discourse Strategies of Popular Music Audition Programs - Focused on -)

  • 본 연구는 TV조선 오디션 프로그램 <내일은 미스터트롯> 방송 이후 트로트가 방송콘텐츠 시장에서 우월적 지위를 갖게 된 기제를 탐색했다. 트로트 오디션 프로그램이 기존의 오디션 프로그램과 어떤 차별화 및 대중화 전략을 취했는지 프로그램의 서사 구조를 분석하고, 음악 전문가 심층 인터뷰, 제작진의 인터뷰 기사 등을 분석했다. <미스터트롯>은 기존의 오디션 프로그램의 성공 전략을 뒤집는 방식의 전략으로 시청자들에게 어필했다. 먼저, 실력자/비실력자 참가자들이 서로 경쟁하는 게 아니라, 실력자/실력자가 대결을 펼치는 방식을 취했다. 오디션 프로그램의 주요 전략인 '진정성 담론'을 그동안 개인사를 통해 이뤄냈던 것과 달리, 이번 트로트 오디션에서는 가창 실력을 새로운 '진정성 담론'으로 설정하였다. 둘째, 오디션 프로그램이라면 필수적이라고 여겨졌던 '악마의 편집'을 탈피하고, 악역을 배제하는 전략을 취하고 쇼 연출에 주력했다. 셋째, 아이돌음악, 힙합, 밴드 등 특정 장르의 전문성을 보여야 한다고 여겨졌던 오디션 프로그램의 관행을 깨고 트로트를 다양한 장르와 접합시켰다. 넷째, 10대, 20대 혹은 남성, 여성 등 특정 세대나 성별을 주로 공략했던 이전 오디션 프로그램과 달리, 다양한 연령대를 공략해 시청층을 확대하는 전략을 구사했다. 다섯째, 시청자들의 흥미를 유발하고, 감정이입을 돕는 자막을 잘 활용한 '자막 전략'으로 중장년 팬덤을 형성해냈다.
