유연한 매니퓰레이터 제어를 위한 적응형 명령성형 필터의 최적 시간지연 값 추출 (Extraction of Optimal Time-Delay in Adaptive Command Shaping Filter for Flexible Manipulator Control)

  • The performance of the direct adaptive time-delay command shaping filter depends on the select time-delay. In the previously introduced direct adaptive command shaping filter, however, the time-delay value is fixed and only the magnitudes of the impulses are learned. In this paper, the authors introduce a new scheme to adapt the time-delay which is to be used in conjunction with the direct adaptive command shaping for the improved vibration suppression in flexible motion system. In order to formulate the time-delay adaptation scheme, the authors have analyzed the effect of the time-delay value on the performance of the direct adaptive command shaping filter. By modifying the direct adaptation formula based on the analysis result the authors have established a set of equations to adapt the time-delay toward the optimal value. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed time-delay adaptation approach for the improved vibration suppression.

분사칼럼식 직접접촉열교환기의 열전달특성에 관한 수치적 연구 (A Numerical Study on Heat Transfer Characteristics in a Spray Column Direct Contact Heat Exchanger)

  • In order to define the heat transfer characteristics in a spray column direct contact heat exchanger, the development of a multidimensional numerical model and computational algorithm is essential to analyze the inherent multidimensional characteristics of a direct contact heat exchanger. In the present study, it has been carried out numerical calculations using a two-dimensional model for operation of a direct contact heat exchanger. Such operational and system parameters as the injection velocity, void fraction, aspect ratio and injection temperature of each fluid are examined thoroughly to assess their influence on the performance of a spray column. Analyzed results has shown that our two-dimensional model predicts the heat transfer phenomena well in a spray column.

최단 전압붕괴점 계산을 위한 개선된 직접법과 재급전에 의한 전압안정도 향상 (Improved Direct Method for Calculating the Closest Voltage Collapse Point and Voltage Stability Enhancement by Generation Redispatch)

  • The distance in load parameter space to the closest saddle node bifurcation (CSNB) point provides the worst case power margin to voltage instability and the left eigenvector at CSNB identifies the most effective direction to steer the system to maximize voltage stability under contingency. This paper presents an improved direct method for computing CSNB: the order of nonlinear systems equations is reduced to about twice of the size of load flow equations in contrast to about three-times in Dobson's direct method; the initial guess for the direct method is computed efficiently and robustly by combined use of continuation power flow, a pair of multiple load flow solution with Lagrange interpolation. It is also shown that voltage stability may be enhanced significantly with shift of generations in the direction of the left eigenvector at CSNB.

  • The Hong Ik Direct Drive Arm(HIDDA) is a SCARA typed direct drive manipulator with two degrees-of-freedom(DOF) using the direct drive motor of the NSK company. The direct NSK motors are used to give a large torque directly to the link, to reduce the modeling errors from the gears and chains. But, since the nonlinear coupling torques are transferred to the motor shaft without any reduction, we must consider a dynamic control algorithm. In this paper, we designed a robot controller for the HIDDA using a TMS320C31, which has the highest performance among the third DSP chips in the TI company. And we developed the integrated environment software of the robot management system to give the users an easy way of programming, running and simulation of the robot on the PC.

Accuracy of a direct drill-guiding system with minimal tolerance of surgical instruments used for implant surgery: a prospective clinical study

  • PURPOSE. A recently introduced direct drill-guiding implant surgery system features minimal tolerance of surgical instruments in the metal sleeve by using shank-modified drills and a sleeve-incorporated stereolithographic guide template. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of this new guided surgery system in partially edentulous patients using geometric analyses. MATERIALS AND METHODS. For the study, 21 implants were placed in 11 consecutive patients using the direct drill-guiding implant surgery system. The stereolithographic surgical guide was fabricated using cone-beam computed tomography, digital scanning, computer-aided design and computer-assisted manufacturing, and additive manufacturing processes. After surgery, the positional and angular deviations between planned and placed implants were measured at the abutment level using implant-planning software. The Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to compare the deviations (${\alpha}=.05$). RESULTS. The mean horizontal deviations were 0.593 mm (SD 0.238) mesiodistally and 0.691 mm (SD 0.344) buccolingually. The mean vertical deviation was 0.925 mm (SD 0.376) occlusogingivally. The vertical deviation was significantly larger than the horizontal deviation (P=.018). The mean angular deviation was 2.024 degrees (SD 0.942) mesiodistally and 2.390 degrees (SD 1.142) buccolingually. CONCLUSION. The direct drill-guiding implant surgery system demonstrates high accuracy in placing implants. Use of the drill shank as the guiding component is an effective way for reducing tolerance.

  • 현재 세계적으로 배출가스 규제 강화와 유가 상승으로 인해 가솔린엔진에서 배출되는 유해 배출 가스 저감기술 및 연비향상 기술 개발이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 가솔린 직접분사(GDI; Gasoline direct injection) 기술은 가솔린 연료를 직접 연소실에 분사하여 정밀한 연소제어를 통해 매우 희박한 혼합기에서도 고효율의 연소가 가능하게 함으로써 연비저감과 고출력을 동시에 만족할 수 있는 효과적인 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 분무유도방식(spray-guided type)을 이용한 GDI 엔진을 개발하여 안정적인 희박연소를 구현하였다. 자주 사용되는 운전영역에서 연료분사시기의 TDC(Top dead center) 인근으로의 지각을 통하여 안정적인 희박연소를 구현하였으며, 다단분사를 적용하여 추가적인 연료소비율의 개선이 가능한 반면 탄화수소(THC)와 질소산화물($NO_x$)의 배출은 증가하고 CO의 배출은 감소되었다.

  • Therefore, with this development assignment we'd like to develop the hybrid system combining 800W DMFC (Direct Methanol Fuel Cell) and 1.6kW of Lithium secondary battery pack which can be applied to the most common small cart. a scooter, to secure the development capability of hundreds of Watts DMFC, the high-capacity Lithium secondary battery pack, the technology of BMS (Battery Management System) and the development technology of hybrid system. DMFC, in fact, has lower energy efficiency than PEMFC (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell); however, it has several advantages in terms of fuel storage and use. It is pretty easy to be stored and used without any additional colling and heating devices because of its insensitive liquid methanol to temperature. In conclusion, DMFC system is the most suitable device for small mobile vehicles.

  • This paper presents a simple, robust excitation control system for synchronous generator using direct instantaneous voltage control(DIVC) method. The proposed DIVC excitation system can operate as high dynamics of power conversion system without any control gains such as Pill controller. And the transient overshoot of generator voltage can be suppressed with a simple time constant. For the continuous control of excitation system, the fast IGBT inverter system is used in this paper for exciter's field control. The proposed control scheme is verified by the computer simulations and experimental results in the prototype generation system.

  • As the use of Internet being generalized, ordering system can be easily achieved on the Web so that the direct sailing system is replaced the various types of Built-To-Order system. It is important to give the up-to-date information to the end-user in order to build the Built-To-Order system. Recently, the way of providing information is updating the product related information continuously. In this study, we provide the method that can be streamlined Product Data Management System which manages a creation and update for product information into the direct BTO system in order to achieve the newest information. This methodology is not only transferring the information but also processing the information in an appropriate form. So this paper is going to cover the various point of view of information processing.

ETC 시스템 주파수 대역 호환에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Bandwidth of Compatible ETC System)

  • 본 논문에서는 고속수통방식과 능동방식 ETC 시스템간 호환의 필요성에 따라 두 시스템의 주파수 대역 호환 방안을 제안한다. 현재 TTA에서 DSRC 시스템을 능통 방식으로 표준화 작업을 진행중이다 그러므로 현재 시범운용중인 고속수통방식 ETC 시스템과 아직 미개발 상태인 능통방식 ETC 시스템간 호환의 필요성이 제기된다. 그래서 기존의 고속수동방식 ETC 시스템의 성능을 저하시키지 않으면서 능통방식과 유사한 주파수 대역을 사용학 수 있는 방안(Direct Conversion Method)을 제안하고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존 방식과의 차이를 확인할 수 있었다.
