반류 2상유동에서의 계면마찰계수의 특성 (Characteristics of the Interfacial Friction Factor in Countercurrent Two-Phase Flows)

  • 본 연구에서는 근사수평 반류 성층유동에서의 계면마찰계수에 관한 일반화된 실험식을 개발하고자 한다. 이 실험식은 본 저자가 발표한 포화수-수증기와 물-공기 의 실험자료를 기초로 개발되며 공학적인 응용을 위하여 기액상레이놀즈 수와 유체의 물성치를 포함하는 거시적인 유동변수로 표현된다. 또 동일한 계면 마찰계숭에 대한 Nikuradse의 표면조도와 계면의 특성치로 표현되는 무차원 계면 유효조도와의 상관관 계를 구명하고 포화수-수증기와 물-공기의 2상유동에 공통적으로 적용할 수 있는 무차 원 계면유효조도와의 상관관계를 구명하고 포화수-수증기와 물-공기의 2상유동에 공통 적으로 적용할 수 있는 무차원 계면유효조도를 제안할 예정이다. 마지막으로 본 연 구에서 개발한 실험식과 기존 실험식을 비교 검토하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 방으로부터의 열손실 및 특수공간 내에서의 열전달에 응용할 수 있는 자료를 얻기 위하여 고온부가 존재하는 밀폐공간 내의 자연대류 열전달을 밀 폐공간의 경계조건을 좌,우측이 저온벽면이고 상,하면이 단열인 경우와 좌,우측이 단 열벽면이고 상,하면이 저온인 경우에 있어서 고온부의 중심 위치 X$_{c}$,Y$_{c}$를 수평으로 X$_{c}$,Y$_{c}$=0.2~0.5, 0.5 그리고 수직으로 X$_{c}$,Y$_{c}$=0.5, 0.2 ~0.5, 0.8까지 이동하여 수치해석하였고 실험과 비교 고찰하였다.

  • A new metallic sandwich panel with a quasi-Kagome truss core subjected to bending load has been analyzed. First, equations of the failure loads corresponding to the eight failure modes are presented. Then, non-dimensional forms of the equations are derived as functions of three geometric variables, one material parameter (yield strain), one load index and one weight index. Failure maps are presented for a given weight index. By using the dimensionless forms of equations as the design constraints, two kinds of optimization are performed. One is based on the weight, that is, the objective function, namely, the dimensionless load is to be maximized for a given weight. Another is based on the load, that is, the dimensionless weight is to be minimized for a given load. The results of the two optimization processes are found to agree each other. The optimized geometric variables are derived as a function of given weights or failure loads. The performance of the quasi-Kagome truss as the core of a sandwich panel is evaluated by comparison with those of honeycomb cored and octet truss cored panels

연속 레이저 흡수에 의한 증발제거 과정의 관련 인자 영향 고찰 (Effect of Parameters in Evaporative Removal Process by Absorption of a CW Laser)

  • Explosive evaporative removal process of biological tissue by absorption of a CW laser has been simulated by using gelatin and a multimode Nd: YAG laser. Because the point of maximun temperature of laser-irradiated gelatin exists below the surface due to surface cooling, evaporation at the boiling temperature is made explosively from below the surface. The important parameters of this process are the conduction loss to laser power absorption (defined as the conduction-to-laser power parameter, Nk), the convection heat transfer at the surface to conduction loss (defined as Bi), dimensionless extinction coefficient (defined as BrJ, and dimensionless irradiation time (defined as Fo). Dependence of Fo on Nk and Bi has been observed by experiment, and the results have been compared with the numerical results obtained by solving a 2-dimensional conduction equation. Fo and explosion depth (from the surface to the point of maximun temperature) are increased when Nk and Bi are increased. To find out the minimum laser power for explosive evaporative removal process, steady state analysis has been also made. The limit of Nk to induce evaporative removal, which is proportional to the inverse of the laser power, has been obtained.

  • A modeling method for the modal analysis of a multi-packet blade system having a crack undergoing rotational motion is presented in this paper. Each blade is assumed as a slender cantilever beam. The stiffness coupling effects between blades due to the flexibilities of the disc and the shroud are modeled with discrete springs. Hybrid deformation variables are employed to derive the equations of motion. The flexibility due to crack, which is assumed to be open during the vibration, is calculated basing on a fracture mechanics theory. To obtain more general information, the equations of motion are transformed into dimensionless forms in which dimensionless parameters are identified. The effects of the dimensionless parameters related to the angular speed, the depth and location of a crack on the modal characteristics of the system are investigated with some numerical examples.

  • The heat transfer and flow measurements were made on a cylindrical pedestal mounted on a flat plate with a turbulent impinging air jet. The heat transfer coefficient distributions on the flat plate were measured using the shroud-transient technique and liquid crystal was used to measure the surface temperature. The jet Reynolds number (Re) is 23,000, the dimensionless nozzle-to-surface distance (L/d) from 2 to 10, the dimensionless pedestal diameter-to-height (H/D) from 0 to 1.5, the dimensionless 2nd pedestal diameter-to-height ($H/D_2$) from 0 to 0.4 and the distance from the stagnation point to 2nd pedestal (p/D). The results show that for H/D = 0.5 to 1.5, the Nusselt number distributions on the plate surface exhibit a maximum between $r/d\;{\cong}\;1.0$ and 1.5. The presence of the pedestal appears to cause the flow separation and reattachment on the plate surface, which results in the maximum heal transfer coefficient. Also, for p/D = 2.5 and $H/D_2$ = 0.3, the local Nusselt number in the region corresponding to $r/d\;{\cong}\;1.1$ was increased up to 50% compared to that for $H/D_2=0$.

  • In this study, dimensionless correlations of frost properties (i.e. the thickness and surface temperature of frost) on heat exchanger fin with nonuniform temperature distribution are proposed from frosting experiments. We analyzed the local fin temperature distribution, frost thickness and frost surface temperature on a 2D fin; in the airflow direction and the direction perpendicular to airflow. As a result, the frost growth on the fin had a close relation with fin heat conduction. The dimensionless correlations for the average frost properties were expressed as a function of dimensionless temperature, humidity ratio, Reynolds number, and Fourier number. These correlations agreed well with experimental data with the error less than 14%.

  • Flickering behaviors of lean premixed flame of propane/air and methane/air flame anchored by a pilot flame in a tube were investigated. Unsteady behaviors of the flame were monitored by a high speed ICCD camera and the flickering frequency was defined as the number of flame curvatures passing a fixed spatial point in a second. Unlike previous studies in which flames are in open condition so that the flickering mechanism is an unstable interaction of hot buoyant products with the ambient air, flames in this study are surrounded by a tube which means they are not open to ambient air, so that there is no interaction between hot buoyant products and ambient air. Despite the fact, there exists flickering phenomena and the flickering frequency ranges from 10 Hz to 50 Hz which is wider compared to previous studies. We relate the flickering mechanism to flame-generated vorticity and analytic solution for locally approximated flow is used. As a result, the relationship between flickering wavelength and dimensionless vorticity is acquired and the cause of higher range of flickering frequency is explained.

감조하천의 조석전파 특성에 관한 해석적 연구(금강을 중심으로) (Analytical study on the tide propagation characteristics in tidal rivers)

  • 본 연구는 조석과 하천류의 상호작용을 살펴보기 위해 지배방정식을 섭동근사댑을 이용하여 해석 해를 구하였다. 또한 여기에 이류항과 비선형 마찰항을 포함 하였다. 하천류와 조석분조들과의 복잡한 상호작용을 각각의 분조와의 상호작용으로 단순화 시키기 위해 조화분석을 실시하였다 조석의 무차원 매개변수, 특히 감쇄율을 각각의 해에 대하여 구하였다. 평가결과 해석해로부터 구한 감쇄율은 조화분석으로부터 구한 측정치보다 낮게 평가되어 그들의 상관관계를 설정하여 보정 하였다. 해석해를 금강의 감조구간에 적용하여 관측치와 비교한 결과 잘 일치하였다.
