환경영향평가용 대기질 모델을 위한 AWS자료의 4 차원 동화 기법에 관한 고찰 (On the applications of AWS into the Four-Dimensional Data Assimllation Technique for 3 Dimensional Air Quality Model in Use of Atmospheric Environmental Assessment)

  • The diagnostic and prognostic methods for generating 3 dimensional wind field were comparatively analyzed and 4 dimensional data assimilation (FDDA) technique by incorporating Automatic Weather System (AWS) into the prognostic methods was discussed for the urban scale air quality model. The A WS covered the urban scale grid distance of 10.6 km and 4.3 km in South Korea and Kyong-in region, respectively. This is representing that AWS for FDDA could be fairly well accommodated in prognostic model with the meso${\gamma}$~ microa scale (~5 km), indicating that the 3 dimensional wind field by FDDA technique could be a useful interpretative tool in urban area for the atmospheric environmental impact assessment.

  • The forward and afterward parts of ships and offshore structures are designed to improve the fuel consumption performance. These are made of curved plates with a large thickness. If a fabricated curved plate has some dimensional errors, a lot of additional cost is incurred in the assembly process. Thus, an accurate dimensional assessment is very important for fabrication. In this paper, we propose an assessment method for the dimensional quality management of curved plates. This can be applied to data measured using a variety of three-dimensional instruments, with boundary measurement points automatically classified and sorted to create a measurement surface. The assessment is evaluated after matching the CAD surface and the measured surface considering constrained conditions. The fabrication assessment is evaluated as a probability of how much the tolerance is satisfied.

고품질 무기체계 획득을 위한 성숙도평가 방안 소개 (A Study on Readiness Assessment for The Acquisition of High Quality Weapon System)

  • Purpose: Technology readiness assessment(TRA) used as a standard readiness assessment tool in the acquisition program of weapon system has some limitations in the comprehensive understanding of the complex system. Therefore, this research is intended to suggest a holistic maturity assessment method for the acquisition of high quality weapon system. Methods: Technology readiness level(TRL), manufacturing readiness level(MRL), integration readiness level(IRL) and system readiness level(SRL) developed to assess system maturities in the various aspects are compared and analyzed to draw an improvement avenue for the current readiness assessment method. Results: TRL, MRL, IRL and SRL have large differences in their maturity targets during the acquisition life cycle: technological performance, manufacturing capability, interface between components and total system, respectively. They complement one another's shortcomings Conclusion: To achieve a successful acquisition of high quality weapon system, multi-dimensional readiness assessment is required. Therefore, comprehensive readiness assessment using TRL, MRL, IRL and SRL will contribute to the acquisition of high quality weapon system through the accurate maturity information of overall system.

Automated Print Quality Assessment Method for 3D Printing AI Data Construction

  • The evaluation of the print quality of 3D printing has traditionally relied on manual work using dimensional measurements. However, the dimensional measurement method has an error value that depends on the person who measures it. Therefore, we propose the design of a new print quality measurement method that can be automatically measured using the field-of-view (FOV) model and the intersection over union (IoU) technique. First, the height information of the modeling is acquired from a camera; the output is measured by a sensor; and the images of the top and isometric views are acquired from the FOV model. The height information calculates the height ratio by calculating the percentage of modeling and output, and compares the 2D contour of the object on the image using the FOV model. The contour of the object is obtained from the image for 2D contour comparison and the IoU is calculated by comparing the areas of the contour regions. The accuracy of the automated measurement technique for determining, which derives the print quality value was calculated by averaging the IoU value corrected by the measurement error and the height ratio value.

실시간 수질관리도구로서의 3차원 수질모형의 최적 격자크기 산정 (Plausible grid size for a real time decision making system based 3D water quality model)

  • In this study, the plausible grid size was estimated to increase for efficiency of reservoir management using 3 dimensional water quality model. To validate utilization of a real time water quality management tool, ELCOM-CAEDYM model was applied to Soyang reservoir in korea. 100m grid size can represent the real topography and take out exact analysis results. $400{\times}400m$ grid can be easily used to analysis because of data capacity. Consequently, the grid size of 200m or 300m was recommended to establish 3D model considering the required simulation time and the irrelevance between horizontal grid size and vertical distribution for temperature and turbidity analysis.

완화 의학에서의 평가도구 (The Assessment Tools in Palliative Medicine)

  • 완화의학에서 환자의 평가는 치료의 의사결정과 그 결과에 이르기까지 중요한 역할을 한다. 평가도구의 사용 목적은 이를 환자 진료에 반영하여 개개인 환자와 가족들에 대한 돌봄의 질을 높이는 데 있다. 환자의 기능 상태와 통증 및 비 통증 증상을 평가하는 다양한 단일 영역 및 다차원 평가 척도들이 사용 가능하며, 삶의 질을 측정하는 다양한 도구들이 존재한다. 삶의 질이나 증상 측정에서 우월하다고 추천되는 단일 도구는 없는 실정이다. 도구마다 측정하는 시간의 틀이 다르고, 특성이 다르므로 사용 목적과 상황에 따라 적절한 도구를 선택하여야 한다. 여명 예측을 위해서는 예후 지수의 병용이 권고되는 추세이고, 웹을 기반으로 하는 예측 프로그램들도 등장하였다. 예후지수로는 최근 우리나라에서 다기관 연구를 통해 개발한 객관적 예후지수가 임상적인 여명 예측을 포함하지 않으면서 새로운 객관적인 예후 요인을 반영하여, 누구나 쉽게 사용이 가능하다. 완화의학 입문자의 경우 상대적으로 사용이 용이한 도구가 좋다. 따라서 기능의 평가에는 Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group 기능지수를 사용하고, 통증에서는 10점만점의 숫자 통증 등급(Numeric Rating Scale) 도구를 활용하면서 초기 통증 평가로는 간이 통증 조사지를 추천한다. 여러 가지 증상을 한꺼번에 측정하기 위해서는 숫자 등급으로 직접 물어보거나 혹은 M.D. Anderson 증상조사지(the Korean version of MD Anderson Symptom Inventory) 설문지를 사용하기 바란다. 삶의 질을 평가하는데에는 European Organization Research and Treatment Quality of Life Questionnaire Core 15 for Palliative Care, 예후 지수로는 객관적 예후 지수(Objective Prognostic Score)를 사용하기를 권한다. 향후 완화의학에서 평가도구의 발전방향은 국제 공동 연구의 활성화와 디지털 기기를 통한환자 보고의 전산화이고, 머지않은 앞날에 우리나라에도 이러한 경향이 도입될 것이다.

측정시스템 분석을 위한 2차원 척도 평가 (Two-Dimensional Assessment for Measurement System Analysis)

  • Purpose: This paper reviews popular measurement system indices and proposes a procedure for assessing a measurement system using two parameters with intraclass correlation and a factor for process capability. Methods: Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility(GR&R), precision-to-tolerance ratio(PTR), number of distinct categories, producer's and consumer's risks are employed to assess the measurement capabilities and discuss the relationships between measurement system metrics. Results: Two-dimensional plot by two parameters is presented to assess adequacy of the measurement system and process capability. A numerical example and previously studied case study are provided for illustration. Conclusion: The procedure proposed in this paper using two-dimension parameters provides a valuable procedure and helpful guidelines to quality and production managers in assessing the capabilities of a measurement system and choosing the needed actions to be the most benefit.

인자분석과 다효원척를 이용한 스피이커의 음질평가 (The assessment of sound quality of loudspeaker system by using factor analysis and muliti-dimensional scaling)

  • The objective data and subjective data correlated in order to rate sound quality of loudspeaker system and these data were analyzed by the Factor Analysis and Multi-Dimensioinal Scaling. The dimensions yielded Factor Analysis were interpreted as "Contrast", "Metallic", "Rich", "Present" and their relation to physical variables were explored by studying the positions of loudspeaker systems in the respective dimension. When the subjective similarity degree of loudspeaker systems was compared with the objective similarity degree of loudspeaker systems by Multi-Dimensional Scaling, the similarity degree of sound pressure response in the listening room closely coincided with the subjective similarity degree regardless of sound source. This result implies the necessity of measurements taken not only in an anechoic room but also in a listening room in order to rate sound quality of loudspeaker systems.

  • According to the total pollution load management system, exact prediction and analysis of water quality and discharge has been required in order to allocate the amount of pollution load to each local government. In this study, QUAL2E model was used for comparison with other water quality models and improve the inadequate to forecast future water quality. And Various calibration and verification methods were applied to deal with existing uncertainties of parameter during modeling water quality. For user convenience, A GUI(Graphical User Interface) system named "QL2-XP" model is developed by object-oriented language for the user convenience and practical usage. Suggested GUI system consist of hydraulic analysis, water quality analysis, optimized model calibration processes, and postprocessing the simulation results. Therefore this model will be effectively utilized to manage practical and efficient water quality.

  • In the event of a severe accident in Sodium Cooled Fast Reactors (SFR), the sodium combustion aerosols along with fission product aerosols would migrate to the environment through leak paths of the Reactor Containment Building (RCB) concrete wall under positive pressure. Understanding the characteristics of sodium aerosol transport through concrete leak paths is important as it governs the environmental source term. In this context, experiments are conducted to study the influence of various parameters like pressure, initial mass concentration, leak path diameter, humidity etc., on the transport and deposition of sodium aerosols in straight leak paths of concrete. The leak paths in concrete specimens are prepared by casting and the diameter of the leak path is measured using thermography technique. Aerosol transport experiments are conducted to measure the transported and plugged aerosol mass in the leak paths and corresponding plugging times. The values of differential pressure, aerosol concentration and relative humidity taken for the study are in the ranges 10-15 kPa, 0.65-3.04 g/m3 and 30-90% respectively. These observations are numerically simulated using 1-Dimensional transport equation. The simulated values are compared with the experimental results and reasonable agreement among them is observed. From the safety assessment view of reactor, the approach presented here is conservative as it is with straight leak paths.
