  • Because chemical industrial facilities deal with large amount of hazardous materials, the damage affect to off-site as well as on-site when an accident occurs. So it is necessary to develop a Risk Representation System for effective control and response to major accidents. In this study a Risk Representation System(S/W) was developed to help analyzing actual risk and to set an alternative that can reduce the analyzed risk by drawing the level of individual plant's risk on a digital map network.

  • On October 29, 2022, a very large number of people gathered in Itaewondong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Korea for a Halloween festival, and as crowds pushed through narrow alleys, 159 deaths and 195 injuries occurred, making it the largest crushing incident in Korea. There have been a number of stampede deaths where crowds gathered at large-scale festivals, event venues, and stadiums, both at home and abroad. When the density increases, the physical contact between bodies becomes very strong, and crowd turbulence occurs when the force of the crowd is suddenly added from one body to another; thus, the force is amplified and causes the crowd to behave like a mass of fluid. When crowd turbulence occurs, people cannot control themselves and are pushed into he crowd. To prevent a stampede accident, investigation and management of areas expected to be crowded and congested must be systematically conducted, and related ministries and local governments are planning to establish a crowd management system to prepare safety management measures to prevent accidents involving multiple crowds. In this study, based on national data, a continuous digital topographic map is modeled in 3D to analyze the risk of crowding and present a plan for selecting high-risk walking routes. Areas with a high risk of crowding are selected in advance based on various data (numerical data, floating population, and regional data) in a realistic and feasible way, and the analysis is based on the visible results from 3D modeling of the risk area. The study demonstrates that it is possible to prepare measures to prevent cluster accidents that can reflect the characteristics of the region.

  • This study was to identify the factors affecting nurses' use intention of digital healthcare and the moderating effect of clinical career based on the UTAUT model. The items were composed by performance expectancy 3 items, facilitation condition 3tiems, and perceived risk 3 items. CFA was performed to verify the construct validity. As a results, average variance extracted (AVE) was .5 or higher, and construct reliability (CR) was .7 or higher. Model fit was confirmed as CMIN/df=1.797, GFI=.955, CFI=.979, TLI=.968, IFI=.979, and RMSEA=.063. The internal reliability was .93 for performance expectancy, .84 for facilitating conditions, and .64 for perceived risk. Performance expectancy, facilitating condition, and perceived risk had a significant effect on use intention, and clinical career showed a moderating effect(t=-2.159, p=.032). Therefore, in order to enhance the use intention of digital health care, performance expectancy, and facilitating conditions should be raised and perceived risk should be reduced.

  • The prevalence of stress and depression among emotional workers is increasing due to the rapid increase in emotional labor and service workers. However, the current mental health management of emotional workers is difficult to consider the emotional response at the time of stress situations, and the existing mental health management is limited because the individual's base state is not reflected. In this study, we present mental healthcare digital twin solution technology, a personalized stress risk management solution. For mental health risk management due to emotional labor, a solution simulation is performed to accurately predict stress risk through synchronization/modeling of dynamic objects in virtual space by extracting individual stress risk factors such as emotional/physical response and environment into various modalities. It provides a mental healthcare digital twin solution for predicting personalized mental health risks that can be configured with modalities and objects tailored to the environment of emotional workers and improved according to user feedback.

  • The main purpose of this study is to find out how perceived risk elements influence to customer's perceived value and repurchase intention in the electronic commerce environment. To achieve the goal, we set 6 sub-dimension - privacy risk, social risk, time lose risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk - based on comprehensive consideration of related studies, and established a research model included 2 factors such as perceived value and repurchase intention to measure performance in internet shopping malls. From 174 customers of the electronic commerce shopping malls survey data have been collected and analyzed based on the covariance structural model method. Firstly, four perceived risk characteristics of privacy risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk are significant effect on perceived value. Secondly, perceived value is very significantly related to repurchase intention in electronic commerce shopping malls. Consequently, we discussed the strategies to create perceived value and repurchase intention in electronic commerce environment. Also, we suggested the implications and further research directions.

  • Digitalization and digital transformations have metamorphized the face of Financial Inclusion globally, more so, in cash obsessed economies like India. The purpose of our study is to empirically analyze the users' intention to adopt digital payment systems, post Demonetisation, during the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The conceptual framework for the study is based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) adoption model with added operationalized constructs of Perceived Risk and Stickiness to use Cash. A total of 326 respondents were surveyed using a pre-tested questionnaire during the Nationwide Lockdown 3.0 in India. These responses were analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) technique. The findings of the study revealed that performance expectancy and facilitating conditions directly influence the intention of individuals to use digital payment systems, whereas the effect of perceived ease of use on digital payment systems is mediated through the attitude towards the digital payment systems during COVID-19 pandemic situation. Implications of the proposed adoption model are discussed. This will enable the other developing economies to formulate a digital ecosystem, that is here to stay even after the pandemic.

  • Over the past several years, countless patients have benefitted from the use of leeches in microsurgery. As we know, leeches are used to overcome the problem of venous congestion by creating prolonged localized bleeding uniquely characteristics of leech bite. Venous congestion, a common complication of digital replantation, often has been treated through surgical repair like arteriovenous anastomosis. The leech produces a number of important substances which contribute to the special property of the bite, including an anticoagulant, a local vasodilator and local anesthetics. The bite usually bleeds for 1 to 2 hours and under special circumstances may bleed for up to 24 hours. So venous congestion is relieved. However, leeches increase the possibility of infection through their gut content. Infection associated medical leech application is significant risk. Other risk include allergic reaction, adverse psychologic reaction and blood loss requiring transfusion. The 65 cases of medical leech application were performed between August, 1997 and May, 2000 according to an established protocol. The complication were 18 cases ; infection (13 cases), hemorrhage (2 cases), allergic reaction (1 case), psychologic problem (1 case) and hypochromic anemia (1 case). Then our study was performed on the base of indication. As a result, Aeromonas hydrophilia was cultured from gut of medical leech and Klebsiella, Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas were cultured from media. We present the clinical risk-benefit of the medical leech therapy through several cases following digital replantation.

  • As the use of smartphone has rapidly spread into the current society, the mobile instant messenger applications such as Kakaotalk, Tiktok, and Line have become an indispensable part of our daily lives. While, the mobile instant messenger has brought us many positive changes, social problems stemming from the dependency on the mobile instant messenger has been occurred. The dependency of the mobile instant messenger can negatively affect daily lives and lead to stress or addiction. Therefore, it is very important to examine how we can prevent such dependency and addiction. In this respect, the purpose of this study is to investigate determinants impacting on the mobile instant messenger dependency, barrier of living, and intention to digital break. The statistical analysis of survey results shows that enjoyment, identity, relationship commitment, critical mass and ease of use are significantly related to mobile instant messenger dependency, while media richness is not significantly related. Mobile instant messenger dependency have a positive effect on barrier of living, which then has a positive effect on digital break. Lastly, the moderating effect of perceived risk is significant. This research suggests theoretical and business implications to prevent mobile instant messenger dependency.
