Video adaptation in response to dynamic resource conditions and user preferences is required as a key technology to enable universal multimedia access (UMA) through heterogeneous networks by a multitude of devices in a seamless way. Although many adaptation techniques exist, selections of appropriate adaptations among multiple choices are often ad hoc. To provide a systematic solution, we present a general conceptual framework to model video entity, adaptation, resource, utility, and relations among them. It allows for formulation of various adaptation problems as resource-constrained utility maximization. We apply the framework to a practical case of dynamic bit rate adaptation. Furthermore, we present a description tool, which has been accepted as a part of the MPEG-21 Digital Item Adaptation (DIA), along with a brief overview of the .elated descriptors to support terminal and network quality of service (QoS).

This paper deals with the scheduling ploblems, which are the most important subtasks in High-level syntheses. IP(integer programming) formulations is used as the scheduling problem approach. This paper describes a new resource-constraints scheduling algorithm. We have concentrated our attentions on the multicycle operations and the structural pipelining, and we fully analyze the characteristics of operators to achieve the maximal performance and the maximal resource sharing. For experiment results, we choose the 5-th order digital wave filter as a benchmark and do the schedule, Finally, we can obtain near-optimal scheduling results.

In this paper, we propose a visual accessibility technique in an MPEG-21 framework. In particular, MPEG-21 visual accessibility for the colored-visual resource of a digital item is proposed to give better accessibility of color information to people with color vision deficiency (CVD). We propose an adaptation system for CVD as well as a description of CVD in MPEG-21. To verify the usefulness of the proposed method, computer simulations with CVD and color adaptation were performed. Furthermore, a statistical experiment was performed using volunteers with CVD in order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed visual accessibility technique in MPEG-21. Both the experimental and simulation results show that the proposed adaptations technique can provide better color information, particularly to people with CVD.

The paper discusses the nature of Knowledge Organization Systems (KOSs) and shows how these can support digital library users. It demonstrates processes related to integration of KOS like the Dewey Decimal Classification, $22^{nd}$ edition (DDC22) in DSpace software (http://www.dspace.org/) for organizing and retrieving (browsing and searching) scholarly objects. An attempt has been made to use the DDC22 available in Bengali language and highlights the required mechanisms for system-level integration. It may help a repository administrator to build an IDR (Institutional Digital Repository) integrated with SKOS-enabled multilingual subject access systems for supporting subject descriptors based indexing (DC.Subject metadata element), structured navigation (browsing) and efficient searching.

Recent manufacturing system requires development on new production technology to enable prompt manufacturing of diverse products. Most of the researchers have been working on micro-factory. Especially, focus on manufacturing of micro parts. Present manufacturing system consumes excessive resources in the form of energy and space to manufacture the micro parts. In this study, the micro lens module assembly system was modeled, analyzed with MST(Micro System Technology) Application Module and simulated through UML Language (Unified Modeling Language) with object-oriented logical model analysis method. Digital model of micro-factory was modeled, to execute the new paradigm of digitalization on products, resources and processes of micro-factory.

This study analyzed information sharing and digital divide within family and their consequences on the power structure between parents and their children based on the resource-exchange theory. In-depth interview has been conducted to collect data and materials for analysis. Major findings are: first, children recognized the ability to use information technology as resources, while parents did not; second, digital divide between parents and children seemed to be associated with laissez-faire communication between parents and children and worked as a cause of conflict between parents and children; third, reverse-socialization from children to parents occurred in consumer socialization in the family. Based on the findings, the implications to further research were provided.

Existing manufacturing system has consumed too much energy, space and resource in micro parts manufacturing. To improve this, micro factory system is suggested. But it is difficult to get the high reliability in the assembly, production and inspection of the minute parts because the construction of the micro factory has been started just before. In this study, we will build the digital manufacturing simulation on the micro factory's process and verify the production and assembly process using this simulation.

Collection Development Policy(CDP) is the master plan for managing libraries and information centers through which the features and categories of collections are defined and sorted. The National Digital Library therefore needs to determine its manifest principles based on CDP regarding the magnitude of acquisition, the acquisition priority and the magnitude of purchases. This paper pertains to the principal model for NDL Collection Development Policy as a primer for establishing NDL Collection Development Policy in order to illustrate essential elements of national collection development policy and provide general guidelines for NDL Collection Development Policy. To propose an independent Collection Development Policy appropriate for NDL by analyzing cases in digital resource development policies. To guide establishing principles for determining the types and magnitude of NDL collection acquisition, prioritizing acquisition, making decisions on purchase magnitude and licensing. To identify the essential elements in systematic development of national digital information resources; and to propose a model for NDL's CDP accordingly.

In call centers where customers contact a firm's customer service without face-to-face interaction, customer service representatives (CSRs) determine its service competitiveness. In other words, a firm's service excellence relies on its CSRs. Drawing on the concept of agility from service and information technologies studies, this study conceptualizes customer response capability as a variable consisting of customer response expertise and customer response agility, and further verifies its effects on customer service performance. Moreover, this study examines whether a firm's digital and human knowledge resources are related to CSRs' customer response capability. To empirically test the proposed hypotheses, the partial least squares analysis is conducted with a total of 371 responses collected on CSRs from two insurance call centers. The findings indicate that a firm's digital and human knowledge resources enhance CSRs' customer response expertise and customer response agility, thereby increasing customer service performance. The results draw the conclusion that CSRs' customer response capability is a key antecedent of superior customer service.

In this study, the Interactive advertising in the Outdoor Interactive Digital Signage is taken as the research object, and the effect of the advertising in the Outdoor Interactive Digital Signage compared to the traditional advertising on consumer propensity is studied. Based on the research methods of literature data and case analysis, we first researched and analyzed the impact of the development of the Internet and artificial intelligence on Interactive Digital Signage advertising, combined with consumer trends and habits, according to the characteristics of Interactive Digital Signage advertising, and '199IT-Internet data Based on the data in the Resource Library, and using an example analysis method, three reasons for the impact of Interactive digital signage advertisements on consumer spending tendencies are proposed. The purpose is to provide reference for future companies to use Interactive digital signage for ad placement and help companies. Increase product sales to increase product value and customer trust in the brand.
