Fragile Watermarking to detect change of small range on image (화상의 작은 영역 변화를 검출 가능한 연성 워터마킹)

  • Fragile watermarking is a technique far autoentication/integrity of digital data. Unlike robust watermarking, il has to design to be vulnerable against some slight processing to verify the modification of digital data. Feature of fragile watermarking is to identify the modifications of data and to locate some places modification occurred at the same time, so it has to identify slight changes of small range if possible. In this paper, fragile watermarking is proposed that the changes of small range on image can be identified using the watermark sequence with period and the values of low bit planes in an image.

A Watermarking Scheme of Lowest Frequency Band Based on the Quad-Tree Algorithm (쿼드트리 알고리즘과 최저주파수대역을 이용한 워터마킹 기법)

  • In this paper, digital watermarking method using quad-tree algorithm and the lowest frequency band is proposed. The proposed algorithm searches the coefficient of the watermark by using quad-tree algorithm and inserts the watermark by the Cox's algorithm. The simulation of the proposed algorithm is implemented about the effect of various weight factors in Cox's algorithm, that of embedding watermark in each subband coefficient (HH, LH, HL), and that of embedding in the lowest frequency band (LL). As a simulation result, the bigger weight factors in Cox's algorithm show strong to noise. The watermarking performance of simultaneously embedding in HH, LH, and HL band is better than that of different cases. In addition, insertion the watermark to the LL band about $30{\sim}60%$ of all watermarks improves the watermarking performance in comparison with the case of not using the LL band.

  • Digital image watermarking techniques have been studied in various fields in order to protect the copyright of multimedia contents mostly composed by images. JPEG compression is a representative copyright attack for image watermarking. The CRT-based watermarking methods in DCT domain have been studied, because these are robust for JPEG compression attack. In this paper, we propose a new method with improved performance compared with the existing CRT based methods in DCT domain. The proposed method selects the DCT block according to the denseness at the watermark insertion phase, and iteratively adjust the CRT Conditional coefficients at the watermark extraction. This paper shows that it is more robust for the JPEG compression attacks through experimental results.

  • In this paper, we proposed a digital watermarking for color still image using the characteristics of human visual system and the achromatic block information. We use a binary watermark signal and insert watermark signal in the chromatic component region of YCrCb color space. In order to extract the watermark signal, we extracted the watermark signal by presuming that modified pattern of chromatic saturation without using original an image. Experimental results show that the proposed watermarking method has a good performance to embed watermark signal and extract one.

  • This paper presents a H/W module that executes a fragile watermarking algorithm. The module inputs sequentially quantized DCT values, encodes watermark and then outputs watermarked DCT coefficients. A fragile and invisible watermarking algorithm is adopted, modified and enhanced here to reduce H/W size and image degradation. The module can be directly inserted between DCT quantizer and VLC encoder in wide spread JPEG/MPEG encoder. The module is expected to be used for real-time authentication purpose in DVR(Digital Video Recorder) or digital cameras.

  • 본 연구는 Wavelet Transform을 이미지 처리에 적용하여 지적재산권 보호를 위한 Watermarking 기술을 연구하였다. Watermark가 이미지에 Invisible하게 삽입되면서 압축, Filtering, truncation등과 같은 이미지 처리에도 강력한 Watermark 기술 연구에 중점을 두었다. 특히 완벽한 복원을 위하여 Wavelet Transform을 사용하였고, 또한 DCT기술을 접목시킴으로 해서 압축에 강력한 결과를 나타내게 되었다.

  • As the growth of internet and the diffusion of wide multimedia applications are increased, the ownership verification and authentication in communication channel for a digital image become more important. For these purpose there are many watermarking scheme available for image, video stream and audio data. In this paper we studied on techniques for integrity and authentication of digital images and proposed new watermarking algorithm. The proposed algorithm is implemented in C language on IBM-PC and the test results are shown.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new digital watermarking technique. It uses frequency domain of discrete wavelet transform(DWT). watermarking technique is one of the most important tools for DRM(Digital Right Management) We proposed a new algorithm watermark insertion and detection. This technique cleats the watermark sequence using the edge image, spread spectrum technique and DWT. We tested the technique with various attacks. and found that it satisfies the watermarking evaluation criteria. Cox similarity measurement value is more than 6 on the Lena image and PSNR is more than 40dB on JPEG, Collusion. Clopping and Scatting. By the result, we proved that the new technique satisfies the requirement of Digital contents distribution, which are undeletablility tenacity, statistical undetectablility.

  • Digital watermarking has been proposed for copyright protection of digital data. According to the property of an embedded watermark, it is classified into two categories, robust watermarking and fragile watermarking. The former is used for copyright protection, and the latter applies to the authentication/integrity to verify the authenticity of data, If an Image has been modified or forged. the embedded watermark cannot be extracted from the Image. As a results, it is possible to defect the modification of the image. As pixels are represented by tilts, the modification of bits corresponds to the alteration of the image. In this paper, a new fragile watermarking is proposed In which two watermarks are embedded in order to detect some modification occurred In high and low bit Planes. From simulation results, the embedded watermark is Invisible in a watermarked image and we can locale some Places where the modification occurring

  • In this paper, we have studied the reliable scheme for transmission of digital watermarking-inserted image data through wireless channel. Multimedia data and watermarking data are degraded because of the high BER (Bit Error Rate) and the effect of fading in wireless channel. We adapt the error correction scheme for mitigating the degradation in watermarking data. We have evaluated the error performance of watermarking data modulated by OFDM/16QAM and sent through Rician fading channel. The simulation results show that when error correcting scheme is used the watermarking data can be detected without severe error even though watermarking-inserted image data is suffered from severe damage.
