To enhance the performance of multi-view sequence CODEC, an efficient disparity vector coding method fur multiview sequences is proposed herein. For higher coding efficiency, we encode the differential vectors acquired by subtracting the original vectors from the predicted ones. To enhance the performance of disparity vector coding, it is essential to predict the disparity vectors accurately. The prediction by this proposed method utilizes the correlation among the multiview images, while conventional methods exploit the correlation among the causal blocks. Experiments were performed fur three different 5 view sequences. We were able to confirm that the proposed method predicts disparity vectors accurately by comparing the entropy and the mean absolute values for differential vectors with conventional methods. Its performance is superior to vector coding methods used in MPEG-4 which uses only a spatial correlation. The proposed method increases the coding efficiency by a factor of $30{\~}45\%$ while preserving image quality.

The furrow calculation and traffic measurement of sailing ship using computer vision are useful methods to prevent maritime accident by predicting the possibility of an accident occurrence in advance. In this paper, sailing ships are recognized using image erosion, differential operator and minimax value, which can be verified directly because the calculated coordinates are displayed on electronic navigation chart. The developed algorithm based on area information of this paper has the advantage which is compared to the conventional radar system focused on point information.

Intellectual property rights are gathering strength theses days. Because digital contents are easily reproduced and distributed by advanced computers and networks. Digital watermarking is one of the best solutions for this problem. Generally, frequency-domain watermarking algorithms are preferred since they are more robust than spatial-domain algorithms. However, coefficients in the frequency domain are floating-point numbers. Thus, it is not easy to manipulate those floating-point coefficients and frequency-domain watermarking algorithms have some limitations in their applications. In order to overcome this difficulty, we employ an integer transform in this paper. In addition, our proposed algerian can extract the watermark from both the spatial and frequency domains. We embed the watermark into a specific bit-plane of mid-frequency coefficients. This is equivalent to the differential energy watermarking (DEW) in the spatial domain. Our simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is imperceptible, good for the watermark payload, and robustness against various attacks. Moreover, it is more efficient than any other algorithm working in only one domain.
This study did derive a characteristic of a cover design through considering a concept, a function and components of a cover design based on a literature study and through analyzing cases of the best-seller cover designs for the literature section from 1999 to 2002. In terms of a reader's preference for a cover design according to an age and sex of a reader, it tried to suggest a condition and a method of a book-cover design through a questionnaire survey and the image evaluation. In a survey of the preference for a cover design, there was the difference of interest degree in a kind of a book, a place to buy a book and a cover design according to an age and sex. In addition, it was shown that a woman prefers the stylish typography, and both a man and a woman prefer the cool color. However, except these two, the reason why there is no difference in preference for visual elements are that a cover design is an integrative image comprising several elements. Accordingly, through the Semantic Differential Method, it carried out the evaluation as to a cover design as an integrative image. As a result of that, an abstract image was shown to be difficult to convey a meaning because of its fall in clarity. Further, a cover design mainly comprising the stylish typography gained the high evaluation in unique and clarity. It is thought to be attributable to the easiness to achieve a goal of seeing and reading in a cover design in which an image and the typography are balanced, rather than the excessive visual. Even though the visual is excellent, there was difference from what having been excellent in conveying a meaning, which is a functional aspect. This study tried to examine, limiting it only to a visual element. It will be hereafter required to proceed with a study on the influence on a reader's preference according to material, bookbinding and a form of book which are elements comprising a cover design.

A CMOS x-ray line scan sensor which is used in both medical imaging and non-destructive diagnosis is designed. It has a pixel array of 512 columns ${\times}$ 4 rows and a built-in DC-DC converter. The pixel circuit is newly proposed to have three binning modes such as no binning, $2{\times}2$ binning, and $4{\times}4$ binning in order to select one of pixel sizes of $100{\mu}m$, $200{\mu}m$, and $400{\mu}m$. It is designed to output a fully differential image signal which is insensitive to power supply and input common mode noises. The layout size of the designed line scan sensor with a $0.18{\mu}m$ x-ray CMOS image sensor process is $51,304{\mu}m{\times}5,945{\mu}m$.
SeNtinel's Application Platform (SNAP) is an open source software developed by the European Space Agency and consists of several toolboxes that process data from Sentinel satellite series, including SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) and optical satellites. Among them, S1TBX (Sentinel-1 ToolBoX)is mainly used to process Sentinel-1A/BSAR images and interferometric techniques. It provides flowchart processing method such as Graph Builder, and has convenient functions including automatic downloading of DEM (Digital Elevation Model) and image mosaicking. Therefore, if computer memory is sufficient, InSAR (Interferometric SAR) and DInSAR (Differential InSAR) perform smoothly and are widely used recently in the world through rapid upgrades. S1TBX also includes existing SAR data processing functions, and since version 5, the processing capability of KOMPSAT-5 has been added. This paper shows an example of processing the interference technique of KOMPSAT-5 SAR image using S1TBX of SNAP. In the open mine of Tavan Tolgoi in Mongolia, the difference between DEM obtained in KOMPSAT-5 in 2015 and SRTM 1sec DEM obtained in 2000 was analyzed. It was found that the maximum depth of 130 meters was excavated and the height of the accumulated ore is over 70 meters during 15 years. Tidal and topographic InSAR signals were observed in the glacier area near Jangbogo Antarctic Research Station, but SNAP was not able to treat it due to orbit error and DEM error. In addition, several DInSAR images were made in the Iraqi desert region, but many lines appearing in systematic errors were found on coherence images. Stacking for StaMPS application was not possible due to orbit error or program bug. It is expected that SNAP can resolve the problem owing to a surge in users and a very fast upgrade of the software.
The purpose of this study is to provide base line data for right concept and identity establishment of Specialized Vocational high school, to identify recognition of Specialized Vocational high school, to analyze image of Specialized Vocational high school recognized by middle school student. The population was all middle school third year students in Korea. Using random sampling technique, 50 classes of 61 schools were sampled for the study. A survey questionnaire used Semantic Differential(SD) suggested by Osgood(1957). SD consisted of a number of adjective pairs, finally, this study used 11 adjective pairs to have validity. 1,198 out of 1,441 questionnaire were returned (a return rate of 83.14%), among which 935 were used for the analysis after data cleaning. An alpha level of 0.05 was established a prior for determining significance. All data analysis was accomplished using the SPSS 20.0 Win. Based on the finding of the study, the major results of the this study were as follows : 1. Higher average is female students' image of Specialized Vocational high school than male students' that, but, The difference between the two samples was not statistically significant. 2. It was only 20% that receive career education of Vocational high school. It is necessary to accomplish and expand career education of Specialized Vocational high school for proper career education from middle school, to realize career exploration and decide one's career path based on one's specialty. 3. They have positive images who hope for going on to the Specialized Vocational high school of education than the others. 4. It is necessary to accomplish and expand career education of Specialized Vocational high school for proper career education from middle school, to realize career exploration and decide one's career path based on one's specialty, because the result was statistically significant. 5. The roots of Platycodon grandiflorum species either dried or fresh, are used as an ingredient in salads and traditional cuisine in Korea. To interpret the root proteins, a systematical and targeting analysis were carried out from diploid and tetraploid roots. Two dimensional gels stained with CBB, a total of 39 differential expressed proteins were identified from the diploid root under in vivo condition using image analysis by Progenesis Same Spot software. Out of total differential expressed spots, 39 differential expressed protein spots (${\geq}\;1.5$-fold) were analyzed using LTQ-FTICR mass spectrometry. Except two proteins, the rest of the identified proteins were confirmed as down-regulated such as Isocitrate dehydrogenase, Proteasome subunit alpha type-2-B. However, the most of the identified proteins from the explants were mainly associated with the oxidoreductase activity, nucleic acid binding, transferase activity and catalytic activity. The exclusive protein profile may provide insight clues for better understanding the characteristics of proteins and metabolic activity in various explants of the economically important medicinal plant Platycodon grandiflorum.
The association between accounting earnings and the stock price of an entity is the subject that has been most heavily researched during the past 25 years in accounting literature. Researcher's common finding is that there are positive relationships between accounting earnings and stock prices. However, the explanatory power of accounting earnings which was measured by $R^2$ of regression functions used was rather low. To be connected with these low results, The prior studies propose that there will be additional information, errors in variables. This study investigates empirically determinants of earnings response coefficients(ERCs), which measure the correlation between earnings and stock prices, using earnings level / change, as the dependent variable in the return/earnings regression. Specifically, the thesis tests whether the factors such as earnings persistence, growth, systematic risk, image, information asymmetry and firm size. specially, the determinable variables of ERC are explained in detail. The image / information asymmetry variables are selected to be connected with additional information stand point, The debt / growth variables are selected to be connected with errors in variables. In this study, The sample of firms, listed in Korean Stock Exchange was drawn from the KIS-DATA and was required to meet the following criteria: (1) Annual accounting earnings were available over the 1986-1999 period on the KIS-FAS to allow computation of variables parameter; (2) sufficient return data for estimation of market model parameters were available on the KIS-SMAT month returns: (3) each firm had a fiscal year ending in December throughout the study period. Implementation of these criteria yielded a sample of 1,141 firm-year observation over the 10-year(1990-1999) period. A conventional regression specification would use stock returns(abnormal returns) as a dependent variable and accounting earnings(unexpected earnings) changes interacted with other factors as independent variables. In this study, I examined the relation between other factors and the RRC by using reverse regression. For an empirical test, eight hypotheses(including six lower-hypotheses) were tested. The results of the performed empirical analysis can be summarized as follows; The first, The relationship between persistence of earnings and ERC have significance of each by itself, this result accord with one of the prior studies. The second, The relationship between growth and ERC have not significance. The third, The relationship between image and ERC have significance of each by itself, but a forecast code doesn't present. This fact shows that image cost does not effect on market management share, is used to prevent market occupancy decrease. The fourth, The relationship between information asymmetry variable and ERC have significance of each by. The fifth, The relationship between systematic risk$(\beta)$ and ERC have not significance. The sixth, The relationship between debt ratio and ERC have significance of each by itself, but a forecast code doesn't present. This fact is judged that it is due to the effect of financial leverage effect and a tendency of interest.
PURPOSES : Daejeon is basically divided into an old downtown and a new downtown, and the recent relocation of the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government of Republic of Korea from the old downtown and the opening of governmental buildings in the new downtown as well have made this new downtown only densely populated with industrial and business facilities. Such changes in the downtowns have promoted the conditions of the new downtown while, consequently, dragging down the old downtown. Out of concern for those unbalanced developments of the two downtowns, Daejeon is now carrying out several city projects to revive the old downtown. In the light of that, as a part of the project to promote the old downtown, this study aims to conduct an evaluation on landscape of the culture and arts street in Daeheungdong which was built upon those ideas of a theme street project by Daejeon. METHODS : Based on the findings from the questionnaire not only on the components that would design the streetscape of the culture and arts street but also on the public satisfaction with the streetscape, the study defined how those changes in the components affect emotional factors of the pedestrians. In order to achieve the research goal, the study made changes in D/H ratio of the street structural components as well as the roadside trees. In terms of the questionnaire method, the study used the SD scale, and proceeded with its investigation through the frequency analysis, the principal component analysis (the factor analysis) and the structural equation model. RESULTS : According to the results from the factor analysis and the regression analysis, of those three factors, such as the openness, the comfortable sensation and the safety, the openness followed by the comfortable sensation and the safety was determined to have the most positive influence on the total satisfaction. The structural model analysis reported that the D/H and the structural components of the roadside trees and planting have a positive effect on the emotional image, and this emotional image also appeared to be positively related to the total satisfaction. CONCLUSIONS : This study looked into how the changes in the street structural components of the culture and arts street in Daeheungdong would affect the satisfaction with the streetscape, and finally confirmed that the D/H and the planting are what would have a positive effect on this satisfaction. What has been learned from this study will be the basic data to figure out how to promote and improve the culture and arts street in Daeheung-dong as this data will also help designing and developing of those specialized streets in other regions.
