  • This study is intended to suggest methodologies in theory that is dedicated to improve existing features in BlM tool sets and introduce a new horizon for developing new features in the future so that more functionality can be provided to the work process of architect. To be more utilized of BlM tool sets in a useful way, it is important to make sure to program a calculation method used in the design process which is based on the information provided by architect, such as design item with detailed process and transformed parametric information on warranty data. Finding pros and cons in the usability from the well-known 3D modeling applications and taking highly usable UI features from the existing applications, and using a common wording were carried out. Design architect identifies reusable parametric information and then finds an algorithm between each items so that BlM tool sets can contribute to design field in the future. Therefore, the formula has been developed for the items considering business aspects and architecturing size in the preliminary-design, and design aspects in the schematic design with idendifying inputs and outputs that is necessary to become fixed factors.

CFD-based Design and Analysis of the Ventilation of an Electric Generator Model, Validated with Experiments

  • The efficiency of the ventilation system is a key point for durable and reliable electric generators. The design of such system requires a detailed understanding of the air flow in the generator. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has the potential to resolve the lack of information in this field. The present work analyses the air flow inside a generator model. The model is designed using a CFD-based approach, and manufactured by taking into consideration the experimental and numerical requirements and limitations. The emphasis is on the possibility to accurately predict and experimentally measure the flow distribution inside the stator channels. A major part of the work is focused on the design of an intake and a fan that gives an evenly distributed flow with a high flow rate. The intake also serves as an accurate flowmeter. Experimental results are presented, of the total volume flow rate, the total pressure and velocity distributions. Steady-state CFD simulations are performed using the FOAM-extend CFD toolbox. The simulations are based on the multiple rotating reference frames method. The results from the frozen rotor and mixing plane rotor-stator coupling approaches are compared. It is shown that the fan design provides a sufficient flow rate for the stator channels, which is not the case without the fan or with a previous fan design. The detailed experimental and numerical results show an excellent agreement, proving that the results reliable.

  • As functional requirement of massive digital information storage devices are on a trend for the higher data transfer rate and lower cost, many different technical efforts are being tested and implemented in the industry. FDB(fluid dynamic bearing) is one of the major breakthroughs in rotor design in terms of TMR(track misregistration) budget. Although FDB analysis based on Reynolds' equation is well established and popularly being used for FDB design especially for the estimation of bearing stiffness, there are obvious limitations in the approach due to the inherent assumptions. A generalized analysis tool employing the full Navier-Stokes equation and the energy balance is to be beneficial for detailed FDB design. In this publication, an efficient geometry modeling method is presented that provides fully integrated inputs for general FVM/FDM(finite volume method/ finite difference method) codes. By virtue of the flexibility of the presented method, many different detailed FDB design and analysis are carried over with ease.

C2C 중고거래 플랫폼에서의 중고의류제품 판매 정보 분석 - NVivo를 활용한 내용 분석을 중심으로 - (Analysis of Sales Information of Secondhand Clothing Goods on the C2C Secondhand Trading Platform - Focusing on Content Analysis Using NVivo -)

  • This study aims to classify the dimensions of the sales information of secondhand clothing goods on the C2C secondhand trading platform and to systematically analyze the components of each dimension. To this end, the NVivo 12.0 qualitative data analysis software was used. The content analysis showed that the sales information of secondhand clothing goods was classified into four dimensions: detailed information of the sale goods, information specific to secondhand clothing goods, seller opinion information, and service information. The components of each dimension were as follows. The detailed information of the sale goods included size, sale price, item, design, brand name, material, color, wearing season, fit, gender, etc. The information specific to secondhand clothing goods included the number of times the item was worn, its purchase history, and product condition. Seller opinion information included product review, sales motivation, notes for the transaction, coordination proposal, and usage proposal. The service information included the transaction mode, exchange·return·refund, and promotion. The frequency analysis showed that the highest frequencies were sale goods(37.47%), information specific to secondhand clothing goods(24.63%), seller opinion information(20.54%), and service information(17.37%). This study will help C2C secondhand trading platform managers or sellers establish clear standards for presenting sales information and developing ideas toward constructing differentiated platform contents.

게이트 어레이 레이아웃 시스템의 설계 : HAN-LACAD-G (The Design of Gate Array Layout System: HAN-LACAD-G)

  • This paper describes a new gate array layout system, HAN-LACAD-G(HANyang LAyout CAD system for Gate array). HAN-LACAD-G is composed of placer, global router, detailed router, and output processor. In placement design, initial placement is performed by repetitive clustering and min-cut partitioning followed by placement improvement using the concept of pairwise interchange. In global routing phase, pins are assigned in each channel considering the routing congestion estimation and overflows in feedthroughs are restricted. For the detailed routing, we use layer and three layer channel routing techniques. Layout results are displayed graphically and modified interactively by the user using the layout editor.

Interactive lens through smartphones for supporting level-of-detailed views in a public display

  • In this paper, we propose a new approach to providing interactive and collaborative lens among multi-users for supporting level-of-detailed views using smartphones in a public display. In order to provide smartphone-based lens capability, the locations of smartphones are effectively detected and tracked using Kinect, which provides RGB data and depth data (RGB-D). In particular, human skeleton information is extracted from the Kinect 3D depth data to calculate the smartphone location more efficiently and correctly with respect to the public display and to support head tracking for easy target selection and adaptive view generation. The suggested interactive and collaborative lens using smartphones not only can explore local spaces of the shared display but also can provide various kinds of activities such as LOD viewing and collaborative interaction. Implementation results are given to show the advantage and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • A $\kappa$-side switch box with W terminals on each side is said to be hyper universal, denoted by ($\kappa$, W)-HUSB, if it is routable for any global .outing with density at most W. In [5], we have proposed a switch box design strategy and designed a near optimum (4, W)-HUSB F(W) with 6.W switches. In this paper, we design, analyze and implement an efficient detailed routing algorithm for the S-box F(W). This router. can accommodate all routing requirement topologies.

디자인분야 대학생의 정보문해 교육을 위한 핵심 정보문해능력 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on an Analysis of Core Information Literacy Competencies for Information Literacy Instruction of Undergraduate Students in Design Discipline)

  • 디자인분야 대학생들이 학업능력을 향상시키고 독립적인 전문가로 성장하기 위해서는 일반적 정보문해 교육에서 추구하는 일반적인 정보문해능력 이외에 보다 복잡하고 전문적인 정보문해능력이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 4개 대학교의 디자인분야 교육목표와 교육과정, 그리고 미국 디자인분야 교육 인증기관인 국립미술디자인학교협회의 디자인분야 학사학위 프로그램 기준과 지침에 대한 문헌조사를 실시하고, 문헌조사를 통해 분석된 디자인분야의 핵심 정보문해능력에 대한 검증을 위하여 디자인분야 전 문가를 대상으로 한 델파이 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 디자인분야는 7개 범주 26개의 핵심 정보문해능력을 공통적으로 필요로 하며, 이러한 정보문해능력들은 정보문해 교육의 시기와도 관련이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 제품디자인 등 세부전공분야별로는 보다 더 전문적인 특정 정보문해능력이 추가적으로 필요하며, 이러한 디자인분야 특정 핵심 정보문해능력 이외에 디자인분야에는 일반영역/기초능력관련 일반학문분야에 대한 정보문해능력도 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

The Effects of Information Volume and Distribution on Cognitive Load and Recall: Implications for the Design of Mobile Marker-less Augmented Reality

  • This study examined the effects of information volume and distribution on learners' cognitive load and recall in a mobile augmented reality (AR) environment. Information volume refers to the degree of information users are provided in a learning task, while information distribution indicates the way in which information is distributed, either in a virtual or real format. Sixteen undergraduate students participated in the study, which employed a 2 × 3 randomized block factorial design with repeated measures. Information volume and distribution were independent variables, and factors in learners' cognitive load (mental effort, perceived ease of use, and perceived task difficulty) and recall test scores were the dependent variables. Information volume had significant main effects on perceived ease of use and task difficulty, and recall test scores, while information distribution had significant main effects on perceived task difficulty and test scores. A detailed discussion and implications are provided.

환경 정보 시스템 설계 및 구현 (A Design and Implementation of Environmental Information System)

  • In this paper, a study on a method for designing and implementing an environmental information system to support environmental activities was done. First of all, research on the similar information system and necessary functions were derived. Necessary functions were largely classified into functions for cooperation such as policy consultation and publicity, and functions for environmental information data. Collaboration functions are classified in detail, and detailed contents of this function are summarized. In addition, a data model was designed for various environmental information, and an information server and client interface are designed as a cloud application. Cloud server configuration and design, and client web and app programs to access these information were implemented and tested each functions successfully.
