모더니즘 건축양식의 조형원리와 현대패션디자인에의 적용 (Formative Principles of Modernist Architectural Modes and their Application to Modern Fashion Design)

  • The multilateral attempt for present applications of art school of thought and expression is leading modern fashion as a chapter of various artistic expression. In fashion, historic art thinking which predominated the period are source of optional inspiration not simply being generated, culminated and disappear but layout principles which can reemerge as periodical needs. In other words, the past styles are the source of inspiration of new trend of the present time and will serve as the text that give birth to yet another trend. In this study, I conducted the research on the layout principles of Modernism Architecture in aspects of pure visibility and the layout characteristics. And I analyzed cases of modern fashion which were appling architectural layout principles in the view point of formal construction dimension. As the result, the layout principles of Modernism Architecture have the characteristics of diagram linearity, geometric planarity and exclusive closing. And I was applying the architectural layout principles of Modernism to fashion. The layout principles of Modernism Architecture have the tendency of lacking history types, abstract plane partition and reductionism purity in fashion. The meaning of this study is follows: The characteristics of art school of thought are given shape by appling & analysing the architectural layout principles of historical art school of thought to modern fashion in the view point of formal construction dimension. The applied possibility of historical art school of thought as the source of inspiration about the fashion design is extended.

라마노바의 의상디자인 이론과 접근 방식 (The Principles of Clothing Design and the Way of Design Approach in Lamanova)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the principles of clothing design and the way of design approach in Lamanova. She caused a revolution in the art of dress and created the foundation for costume design theory. She Addressed Art in everyday life to self-taught dressmakers. The distinguishing feature of the design is simplicity and functionality. In an article "The Russian Style", Lamanova raised the question of the new Soviet costume and traditional costume. In "On Contemporary Costume" she classified the new forms of clothes into everyday and holiday attire, showed the principles of costume, and analyzed in detail the necessity of constructing a costume to suit the individual figure. In "On the Rationality of Costume", she found a basis theory for clothing design which is for whom, from what, and for what purpose. Lamanova's theory was made public in full in 1928 and was presented at the exhibition of Handmade Textiles and Embroidery in Women's Contemporary Costume. The main contents are the costume's purpose, it's material, the figure of its wearer, and its form. She argued that the new costume could be in line with the new life and her theory could be the creed of clothing designers. The principles of Lamanova's theory can still be applied today, not only in Russian traditional and contemporary costume, but in contemporary world fashion.

Design Principles of Animated Pedagogical Agent and Instructional Message for Affective Learning

  • The purpose of this study was to develop design principles of both animated pedagogical agents as 'credible' persuasive message source and persuasive fear arousing instructional messages in order to help enhance attitude changes toward a certain issue. Based on the previous pedagogical agent research, this study drew the design principles providing ways to manipulate agent credibility level and fear arousing level of message. Consequently, it specified how to make pedagogical agents perceived less or more credible by learners by manipulating a variety of agent features. For fear arousing message, this study showed how fear arousing messages would be structured into one of three levels: non-threatening, moderately threatening, and strongly threatening. Two different agent conditions and three message conditions were actually developed and experimentally tested with the participants of 40 undergraduate students. The results showed that the agent design principles specified from the previous research worked well enough to make a distinction between the more credible agent and the less credible agent. The overall results of this study may indicate that the design strategies for fear arousing message are retained on the premise of some future refinements.

크레인 안전인증기준에 대한 인간공학적 분석 및 개선 (Ergonomic Analysis and Improvement of Crane Safety Certification Standards)

  • Crane is an important equipment for the transport of heavy goods in industrial sites, but it is also known as one of the most fatal machines. In order to reduce crane accidents, it is necessary to minimize human errors during crane operations. To achieve this, ergonomic design principles are recommended to be reflected from the crane design stage. The study analyzed the safety certification standards for crane that should be fulfilled at the crane design and manufacturing stage. This study selected five representative ergonomic design principles (feedback, compatibility, consistency, full-proof, and fail-safe) by surveying heuristic evaluation principles that are widely used for usability evaluation in early design stage. Next, the principles were applied to the safety certification standards to identify insufficient clauses. This study identified 12 insufficient clauses out of 119 in the current safety certification standards for crane and discussed their improvement directions to comply the ergonomic principles. The analysis results of this study can help of improving the safety certification standards and the method used in this study can also be applied to identify insufficient clauses in the safety certification standards for other industrial machines such as press machine and lift.

건강증진 메시지 디자인 원리의 중요도와 실행도에 관한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Importance and Performance Analysis of Health Message Design Principles)

  • 이 연구에서는 일반인이 건강증진 메시지 디자인과 관련하여 핵심정보 제시, 내용의 유용성, 형식, 직관성의 중요성을 어떻게 인식하는지와 현재 식품의약품안전처에서 발간하는 웹진의 텍스트와 시각자료가 위 네 가지 측면에서 얼마나 효과적으로 디자인되었다고 인식하는지를 조사하였다. 그리고 이러한 인식에 영향을 미치는 개인특성 변인이 무엇인지를 탐색적으로 연구하였다. 이를 위해 294명의 성인들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 중요도 및 실행도 분석(Importance-Performance Analysis)을 실시하였다. 그 결과 연구참여자들은 텍스트 디자인에서 내용의 유용성을, 시각자료 디자인에서 핵심정보 제시를 가장 중요한 항목으로 인식하였으며, 텍스트와 시각자료 모두 형식 측면에서의 실행도가 가장 높게 나타났다. 시각자료의 핵심정보 제시와 직관성은 가장 중점적으로 개선해야 할 원리인 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 개인의 건강관심도가 건강증진 메시지 디자인 원리의 중요도와 실행도 인식에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 기반하여 효과적인 건강증진 메시지 개발을 위한 원리와 전략에 대해 논의하였다.

대수식과 디자인의 연결과정에서의 영재학생들의 수학적 사고 과정 분석 (A study of gifted students's mathematical process of thinking by connecting algebraic expression and design activities)

  • Students can infer mathematical principles in a very natural way by connecting mutual relations between mathematical fields. These process can be revealed by taking tasks that can derive mathematical connections. The task of this study is to make expression and design it and derive mathematical principles from the design. This study classifies the mathematical field of expression for design and analyzes mathematical thinking process by connecting mathematical fields. To complete this study, 40 gifted students from 5 to 8 grade were divided into two classes and given 4 hours of instruction. This study analyzes their personal worksheets and e-mail interview. The students make expressions using a functional formula, remainder and figure. While investing mathematical principles, they generalized design by mathematical guesses, generalized principles by inference and accurized concept and design rules. This study proposes the class that can give the chance to infer mathematical principles by connecting mathematical fields by designing.

퍼머컬츄어 디자인의 원리 (The Principles of Permaculture Design)

  • The word \"permaculture\" is a contraction of \"permanent agriculture\" or \"permanent culture\". Permaculture principles are designed to support (or ensure) the survival of humanity, the earth and all on it, and, to improve our standard of living, Permaculture can be defined as : a design system for creating sustainable human environments that can be (relatively) easily constructed and maintained. The principles of permaculture designs are relative location every element (such as house , rice paddy, road, esc) is placed in relation to each other such that each assists the other : each element performs multiple functions ; each function is supported by many elements : energy efficient planning ; using biological resources rather than fossil fuels : energy cycling on site (both fuel and human energy) : Using and accelerating natural plant succession to establish favourable sites and soils ; poly-culture and diversity of beneficial species for a productive, interactive system ; use of edge and natural patterns for best effect. These principles can be used for any permaculture design, in any climate, and at any scale. There has been very little scientific examination of Permaculture, and as such, it must be viewed as a design philosophy.viewed as a design philosophy.

국내신도시 사례를 통해서 본 뉴어바니즘 도시설계요소 분석 -서울시 은평뉴타운 1구역을 중심으로- (An Analysis of New Urbanism Urban Design Factors in New Town -Case Study on Eunpyung New Town District 1 in Seoul -)

  • The design principles of new urbanism (NU) have been adopted for new towns-in town projects for inner city neighborhoods in Seoul, Korea Since 2000. Here, ten NU principles were matched to four urban design categories: streets, land use, housing and buildings, and public open spaces. These elements were analyzed for Eunpyung New Town project. Through the case, the applications and implications NU principles are explored. The principles of connectivity, quality architecture and urban design, increased density, green transportation, sustainability, and quality of life were positively and successively adopted for streets, land use, housing and buildings, and public open spaces. The principles of mixed-use and diversity and traditional neighborhood structure were only partially applied in land use, housing and buildings, and public open spaces. It should be note that the walkability principle is intended not for job-housing proximity, but for pedestrian-friendly street design.

  • A control panel layout method based on the constraint satisfaction problem(CSP) technique was developed to generate an ergonomically sound panel design. This control panel layout method attempts to incorporate a variety of relevant ergonomic principles and design constrains, and generate an optimal or, at least, a "satisfactory" solution through the efficient search algorithm. The problem of seeking an ergonomically sound panel design should be viewed as a multiple criteria problem, and most of the design objectives should be understood as constraints. Hence, a CSP technique was employed in this study for dealing with the multi-constraiants layout problem. The efficient search algorithm using "preprocess" and "look ahead" procedures was developed to handle the vast amount of computational effort. In order to apply the CSP technique to the panel layout procedure, the ergonomic principles such as spatial compatibility, frequency-of- use, importance, functional grouping, and sequence-of-use were formalized as CSP terms. The effectiveness of the developed panel layout method was evaluated by example problems, and the results clearly showed that the generated layouts took various ergonomic design principles into account.esign principles into account.
