A Suggestion of an Efficient Communication Method of Automobile Internet Banner Advertisements

  • Internet banner advertisement has become recognized as an important media, and its influence has been increasing. The merits of Internet banner advertisement are diversity and consumer immersion. Especially, by using various types and visual expression methods, the automobile Internet banner advertisement has evolved into what attracts curiosity and interest of potential consumers. Thus, to find efficient communication method for automobile Internet banner advertisement, this study, by comprehensively analyzing various advertisement methods in previous researches, suggested an advertisement type and a visual expression method suitable to automobile Internet banner advertisement. Four types of automobile Internet banner advertisement are production form, production purpose, expression form, and advertisement area. Four visual expression methods are action form, image, change form, and moving form. And, through case analysis, this study also examined the value of the newly suggested method.

  • While the population conducting the production-oriented leisure activity is spread, the expertly franchised types of woodworking workshop based on good organization and economic power are also undergoing rapid growth with the related industries. Such tendency needs the systemized marketing strategy for woodworking workshop industry, but most of the woodworking workshops are regarding the deal with customers as simple exchange business in the market. The factors of the relationship marketing hereupon should be constituted as basic material for the study of the relationship marketing of DIY woodworking workshop. This study was intended to select the appropriate factors for relationship marketing and to apply the related theoretical backgrounds on the basis of the preceding studies regarding the factors of relationship marketing. As the factors it was selected that service and expertise of staff under the category of the characteristics of staff, reasonable price, diversity of products and convenience of facility in woodworking workshop under the category of the customer-oriented service, and communication and favorite program under that of the relation-oriented service.

Analysis of Perceived Discomfort and EMG for Touch Locations of a Soft Keyboard (소프트 키보드의 터치 위치별 지각 불편도 및 근전도 분석)

  • With diversity of mobile services (e.g., messenger, and social network service) on smartphone, the demand of text input using a soft keyboard is increasing. However, studies on subjective and physiological responses of users for various touch locations are lacking. The present study investigated the ergonomic effects according to touch locations of a soft keyboard on smartphone. The experiment of the present study measured perceived discomfort using Borg's CR-10 scale and electromyography (EMG) on forearm (abductor pollicis longus, and extensor digitorum communis) and thumb (abductor pollicis brevis, and first dorsal interossei) muscles. Perceived discomfort was significantly varied from 0.7 (extremely weak discomfort) to 2.5 (weak discomfort) depending on touch locations. %MVC according to touch locations was only significant at abductor pollicis brevis which varied from 10% to 23%. The experimental results of the present study can be utilized in the ergonomic design of a soft keyboard.

  • 인터넷을 통해 음성 서비스를 가능하도록 해주는 VoIP (Voice over IP) 기술은 다양한 멀티미디어 기술과 결합하여 차세대 이동 통신망에서 핵심적인 서비스로 발전할 것이다. 하지만 차세대 이동 통신망에서는 다양한 단말기와 엑세스망 기술이 지원될 것이기 때문에 서로 다른 통신 능력을 가진 사용자 사이에서 직접적인 세션 설정이 불가능한 다양성의 문제(Diversity Problem)가 발생할 것이다. 이러한 다양성의 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 사전에 미디어 협약 (Media Negotiation)이라고 하는 과정을 거쳐야 한다. 기존의 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) 기반의 VoIP 시스템에서는 이미 미디어 협약 과정이 정의되어 있지만 많은 세션 설정 시간이 소비되는 단점이 있다. 본 고에서는 이러한 단점을 개선하여 효과적인 미디어 협약이 가능하도록 해주는 SIP 기반 의 새로운 VoIP 아키텍쳐를 제안한다. 개선된 YoIP 아키텍쳐는 기존의 아키텍쳐 상의 지역 도메인 내의 기존 요소를 확장하여 구현 가능하기 때문에 높은 상호 호환성과 개발의 용이성을 지닌다. 이러한 새로운 VoIP 아키텍쳐의 구현을 통한 세션 시간 측정 결과 기존의 아키텍쳐에 비해 50%이상의 세션 설정 시간이 단축됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we designed the adaptive fuzzy logic controller for crane system using neural network and real-coding genetic algorithm. The proposed algorithm show a good performance on convergence velocity and diversity of population among evolutionary computations. The weights of neural network is adaptively changed to tune the input/output gain of fuzzy logic controller. And the genetic algorithm was used to leam the feedforward neural network. As a result of computer simulation, the proposed adaptive fuzzy logic controller is superior to conventional controllers in moving and modifying the destination point.

  • Memristors have been studied for many years due to better scalability than DRAMs and FLASH memories thus they are considered now as a strong candidate for future memories. To describe the electrical behavior of memristors, various memristor models have been developed. Especially, many kinds of window function have been used to express the non-linearity of memristors which are thought to cause different voltage-current relationships in memristors. In this paper, the previous memristor models with different window functions are compared and analyzed. This comparative study can be very useful in not only understanding the diversity in memristor's electrical behaviors but also developing memristor circuits. Color Clustered Multiple-input Multiple-output Visible Light Communication

  • A novel color clustered optical RGB multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system is presented. As visible light can be divided into three primary regions of red, green and blue, data can be modulated and transmitted separately using these three color clusters. Each color cluster comprised of 30 RGB LEDs is modulated using on-off-keying (OOK), and selection combining is performed at the receiver, producing a diversity effect within that color cluster. The simulations demonstrate that the proposed RGB MIMO VLC system provides high performance via a relatively simple design of MIMO. Moreover, the proposed system ensures sufficient illumination from LEDs and offers extended distance if more LEDs are applied.

Single Relay Selection for Bidirectional Cooperative Networks with Physical-Layer Network Coding

  • To serve the growing demand of the bidirectional information exchange, we propose a single relay selection (RS) scheme for physical-layer network coding (PNC) in a bidirectional cooperative network consisting of two sources and multiple relays. This RS scheme selects a single best relay by maximizing the bottleneck of the capacity region of both information flows in the bidirectional network. We show that the proposed RS rule minimizes the outage probability and that it can be used as a performance benchmark for any RS rules with PNC. We derive a closed-form exact expression of the outage probability for the proposed RS rule and show that it achieves full diversity gain. Finally, numerical results demonstrate the validity of our analysis.

  • In general, a deadlock in flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) is caused by a resource limitation and the diversity of routings. However, the deadlock of industrial controllers such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) can occur from different causes compared with those in general FMSs. The deadlock of PLCs is usually caused by an error signal between PLCs and manufacturing systems. In this paper, we propose a deadlock detection and recovery (DDR) algorithm to resolve the deadlock problem of PLCs at design stage. This paper employs the MAPN (modified automation Petri net), MTPL (modified token passing logic), and ECC (efficient code conversion) algorithm to model manufacturing systems and to convert a Petri net model into a desired LD (ladder diagram). Finally, an example of manufacturing systems is provided to illustrate the proposed DDR algorithm.

  • Industrial efforts for increased market sales have directed towards the development and implementation of on-line marketing systems under recent e-business environment. Internet-based shopping mall is one of the most popular system. A business process model for an intermediary type shopping mall using IDEF0 has been presented in this study. Specific efforts have been focused on defining and analyzing a diversity of business processes embedded in practical B2B and B2C mall system operations. We first briefly examined the considered system with IDEF0 design. We then defined fundamental business processes within shopping mall systems. Upon careful examination and analysis of them, a detailed business process model based on IDEF methodology has been designed. The results in this study may well form a conceptual framework for shopping mall development and operations.
