페이퍼크라프트(Papercraft) 패션의 디자인 방법과 표현 특성 (A study on design methods and expressional characteristics of papercraft fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the design methods and characteristics of papercraft fashion from 2001 to 2015. The study has been conducted through theoretical research and case study. Overall, types of papercraft expressions are classified into the following four categories: narrative papercraft fashion, organic papercraft fashion, variable papercraft fashion, and recycling papercraft fashion. The characteristics and aspects of each type of papercraft is described below. First, narrative papercraft fashion expresses as factual description of the natural environment. These works convey fantastic image by showing fairy tale animals or plants using paper folding or cutting. Second, organic papercraft fashion creates a futuristic shape by expressing organic parts in nature. Also, it often depicts future-oriented images by repeatedly representing organic shapes using uniform patterns in nature. Third, variable papercraft fashion expresses a variety of changing shapes through a flexible design based on the style of wearing. This variation may be accomplished through changeable dress connected to human gestures. Variable papercraft represents play-fulness, which conveys enjoyment to the wearer and the audience. Fourth, recycling papercraft fashion uses paper materials of the past, and recreates them into artworks through handicraft techniques. Recycling papercraft conveys high value added fashion by dissolving the material into pulp.

  • 사초과의 Eleocharis parvula (Roem. & Schult.) Bluff, Nees & Schauer가 인천광역시 강화군에서 발견되었다. 이 종은 작은 방추형의 괴경, 건조했을 때 격막이 없는 줄기, 3개의 주두 및 암술대 기부와 수과 사이에 홈이 없는 특징을 가지고 있어 한국에 분포하는 근연 분류군들과 구분된다. 국명은 생육지를 고려하여 '갯바늘골'로 신칭하였고, 이에 대한 기재, 도해, 사진 및 검색표를 제시하였다.

질적 아동연구를 위한 해석학의 방법론적 시사 (Methodological Implications of Hermeneutics for Qualitative Research on Children)

  • This study discusses the nature of data-interpretation process in the perspective of modern hermeneutics and explores its methodological implications for qualitative research on the life of children. Discussions center around the basic concepts of modern hermeneutics, such as the conceptual distinctions between understanding and explanation, the intersubjective reality constituted between the child's horizon and the researcher's, the concept of the hermeneutics circle and the importance of the openness of language in understanding children's lifeworld. The conclusions are made as follows: First, the concept of "understanding", which is the basic concern of qualitative research on children, has a much different meaning from that of "explanation" in quantitative research. The task of understanding lies in interpreting the lived meaning in context as experienced by children in all its complexity. Second the researcher's subjectivity in the interpretation process has a dual function in that it can produce a faulty hermeneutics circle and yet it provides the researcher with the strong momentum to open up her understanding towards a deeper and wider level. Third, the reliability and the validity of qualitative research should be discussed within the interpretation process itself in that interpretation in qualitative research is guided basically by the researcher's internal dialectic: between data (text) and her subjectivity. Lastly, the language in interpretive research should be open and free in terms of style in order to present a fuller and richer description of children's lifeworld and the delicate textures of their lived meanings.

Prunus glandulosa Thunb.(Rosaceae) and its distribution on the Korean Peninsula

  • Prunus glandulosa Thunb. [=Cerasus glandulosa (Thunb.) Sokolov] (Rosaceae) is native to the warmtemperate region of China (Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Zhejiang Provinces). It is naturalized in the United States (i.e. Alabama, Michigan and North Carolina) and Canada (Ontario). This species, previously only recorded as introduced or cultivated plants on the Korean Peninsula, was confirmed to be naturally distributed in the southwestern coast islands(i.e. Geomun-do, Chuja-do and an uninhabited island in Shinan-gun of Jeollanam-do). Prunus glandulosa Thunb. is distinguished from a related taxon P. japonica var. nakaii (H. Lév.) Rehder by pedicel 8-12 (-16) mm long, linear stipules, glabrous style, and pink petals. The morphological characters and illustration of P. glandulosa Thunb. are provided with line drawings and photographs from the natural habitat. In addition, it is likely that a new habitat will be found by plant biodiversity investigations through the southwestern coast islands. Further research is needed to determine its population size, distribution, and threats, as well as identify appropriate locations for conservation collection of germplasm.

팔작지붕과 북한의 현대 조선식 건축: 선택과 배제 (Paljak Roofs and Modern Joseon Architecture in North Korea: Selection and Exclusion)

  • Modern Joseon Architecture is North Korea's unique building style that interprets Korean traditional architecture in a modern way, and its most distinctive design feature is the Paljak roof that decorates the upper part of the buildings. This paper argues that continuous attempts at characterizing the nature of traditional Korean architecture in the late 1950s and early 1960s developed the theoretical rationale for the exclusive use of the Paljak roof in Modern Joseon Architecture. It also argues that the construction of the Pyongyang Grand Theater and the Okryu Restaurant during this period became a decisive moment for the formalization of the Paljak roof. The double roof rafters and gables and the "cheerful yet solemn" roofline were considered as main characteristic features of the Korean roof and the Paljak roof perfectly fits this description. Particularly, in North Korean society where Kim Il Sung became idolized as an impersonalized deity, an anecdote in which Kim Il Sung fixed a prominent gabled roof in the Pyongyang Grand Theater into a Paljak roof has allowed for the roof to gain an exclusive status. Hence, almost all Modern Joseon Architecture since the 1960s accepted the Paljak roof's monopoly position, rather than experimenting with other traditional roof types.

인체미의 이상형에 따른 패션 일러스트레이션의 변화 (A Change of fashin IIIustration by the Ideal Type of Human Body Beauty)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation between the beauty of human body and the fashion illustration in each period And I attained my object through the investigation of features and changes of illustration which is given a vivid description of the features and development of ideal humam body beauty. By various methods I studied this subject. Frist I refered to sundry records Secondly I investiated the fashion illustrations which are included in Vogue. On the basis of this data I grasped the ideal types of human body beauty which is founded during the social change in each 10 years. And I analyzed the relation be-tween the ideal type and fashion illustration which show the change of fashion. The summary of result is as follows. 1. In the early part of the 20th century the beauty of human body is represented with the figure of large-sized beauty which emphasize shoulder and bust. And fashion ikllustration show 9 life-size broad shoulder full bust lim waist and hourglass silhouette. 2, In the 1910s the swell of strength vanishes gradually and shoulder and sleeve are straight type. And fashion illustration show 7 life-size high waist line. And that is tublar sil-houette of high waist and streamline shape in which bust and hip are not emphasized. 3. In the 1920s the ideal type of human body beauty is straight type which shows flat bust and unexaggerate hip. And fashion illus-tration is about 8 life-size tublar silhouette of low waist and lunger and slimmer and young style in which bust and hip are not emph-asized. 4. In the 1930s the ideal is womamly slim and long style. Fashion illustration is about 8 life-size and slim & long silhouette in which waist line is emphasized and bust and hip line come out. 5. In the 1940s the ideal type is womamly style which has narrow shoulder rich bast and slim waist. And fashion illustration is about 7 life-size and hourglass silhouette which has unartificial shoulder slim waist and empha-sized bust. 6. In the 1950s the ideal type is that of ro-bust health which emphasize build and muscu-lar system. And fashion illustration is 8.5 life-size and show full bust and made waist slimmer. That is sheath silhouette. 7. In the child who has full face with large eyeball slender and long leg: narrow and immatured body comparatively big head. And fashion illus-tration is 7 life-size and show slim and long neck flat bust long and slim limbs and big head. That is H type silhouette. 8. In the 1970s the ideal type is high stat-ure flat breast small hip and wide shoulders. And fashion illustration is wide shoulders and slim waist as 11 life-size and straight sil-houete. 9. In the 1980s the ideal type is extremely emphasized breadth of shoulder because healthy body and muscle are recognized as the symbol of ideal attractiveness. And fashion il-lustration is about 8.5 life-size and show mus-cular slim type that is slim silhouette. 10 At the present time the ideal type is slim and tall type which is empasized healthy beauty. And fashion illustration is 12 life-size which has healthy body and skin So that is slim and long type.

한국감독 곽재용의 멜로영화 심미적 특성에 관한 연구 (Research on the Aesthetic Characteristics of Korean Director Jae-young Kwak's Love Films)

  • 청춘 멜로영화, 장르는 한국 영화업계의 강점으로 해외 시장에서도 통했다. 곽재용, 한국의 유명한 영화감독, 시나리오작가는 화면의 아름다움, 감정의 섬세함, 상상력이 풍부한 '청춘 멜로 영화'를 잘 찍는다. 그의 영화는 독특한 매력과 특징이 있는데, 이 글은 영상 스타일, 인물 만들기, 그리고 주제 사상의 세 가지 측면에서 서술되어 있다. 우선 영상 스타일 차원에서 어떻게 다른 서사적 기법과 렌즈 언어를 구사해 영화의 분위기를 조성하고, 황홀한 동양미를 만들어냈는지 분석한다. 또 감독을 둘러싸고 영화 속 캐릭터를 다르게 그려내고 디테일을 부각시켜 스토리에 복선을 깔고 해석하는 데 주력했다. 다시 한번, 주제사상을 중심으로 곽재용의 멜로영화의 희비가 엇갈리는 깊은 의미를 분석하는 것은 오늘날 현대인의 내면적 지향과 추구를 반영하는 것이기 때문에 사람들은 깊이 생각하고 깊이 생각해야 한다. 경제 글로벌화 된 현대, 각국의 문화교류 협력 한국의 뛰어난 많은 영화들은 연구할 가치가 있으며, 곽재용 감독의 청춘 멜로 영화를 연구함으로써 그 영화가 시장에서 유행하는 원인을 발굴하고 작품에 반영된 심미를 분석한다. 성적 특징을 살려 청춘 멜로 영화를 만든 경험을 정리한다.

서영태(徐靈胎)와 길익동동(吉益東洞)의 학술사상 비교 연구 (I) - 각자의 주요 저서를 중심으로 - (Comparative Study about Academic Thoughts of Xu Lingtai and Yoshimasu Todo (I) - Focus on their Major Books -)

  • In the 18th century, Xu Lingtai (徐靈胎) and Yoshimasu Todo (吉益東洞) were famous doctors advocating ancient medicine, though they lived in different countries, China and Japan. We compared their major books, analyzed their academic thoughts and then took conclusions as below. 1. The first, for instance "Classified Prescriptions of Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases, 傷寒論類方" and "Classified Assemblage of Prescriptions, 類聚方". Based on essential thought that a prescription and a syndrome should correspond, these books arranged and classified the Zhang Zhongjing (張仲景)'s texts."Classified Prescriptions of Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases", based on the thought that principles, methods, formulas and medicinals (理法方藥) were integrated in prescriptions, tried to find out the implicit treatment rules in prescriptions and syndromes through analyzing "Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases, 傷寒論". On the other hand, because Classified Assemblage of Prescriptions focused on the syndromes of ancient prescriptions (古方), it classified and collected the related texts of Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases and "Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber, 금궤요략", and then suggested only simple instructions on how to prescribe medicine. So in this book, the trend of experience was clear. 2. The second, there is "100 Kinds Records from Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica, 神農本草經百種錄" and "Description work of herbal pharmacology comprised of excerpts from Shanhanlun and medical experiences, 藥徵". Though both of these books are professional oriental pharmacology publications that advocate reactionism, there were remarkable differences in writing style between them. "Description work of herbal pharmacology comprised of excerpts from Shanhanlun and medical experiences" was based on "Treat on Cold Damage Diseases" and "Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber", just explained the effects of medications and discussed 'matter of course (所當然)', but not discussed 'the reason why (所以然)'. In explaining style of syndromes, it confirmed through research, and emphasized the inductive method. On the other hand, "100 Kinds Records from Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica based on "Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica, 神農本草經", explained the nature of medications and discussed 'the reason why (所以然)'. In explaining style of syndromes, it annotated and explained, and emphasized the process of reasoning. 3. The third, there is "Discuss the Headwaters of Medicine, 醫學源流論" and Severance of Medical evils, 醫斷". Aiming the then medical theories fallen in confused state, these books brought order out of chaos, clarified the categories of medical research, and emphasized the scientific method that could put theories into practice and verify them. The difference is that "Severance of Medical Evils" researched only macroscopic viewable clinical phenomena, and even denied the existence of names of diseases and etiological causes. Thus, it emphasized the accumulation of experiences, laid emphasis on "watching and realizing (目認)", and "understand and taking in (解悟)". Discuss the Headwaters of Medicine extremely emphasized the research of 'something not occuring (未然)', that is to say, induced notions of a disease from observing clinical phenomena, furthermore based on these, predicted the 'something not occuring (未然)' and emphasized researching 'the reason why (所以然)'. As regards how they deal with the traditional theories and post-Zhang Zhongjing's medicines, "Severance of Medical evils" took completely denying attitudes. In case of "Discuss the Headwaters of Medicine", it could be used reasonably through specific situation and detailed analysis. Collectively speaking, there were some differences between medical theories of Xu Lingtai and Yoshimasu Todo. Actually, these differences were whether he tried to research the essence of disease, whether he tried to consider it rationally, and how he treated various opinions occurring in the theories of traditional medicine and clinical experience.

조귀명이 제시한 정관(靜觀)의 관찰 방법과 골계(滑稽)의 수사(修辭) (A Study on Jo Guimyeong's observation method and rhetoric of style of writing)

  • 본고는 조귀명의 정관(靜觀)의 관찰방법과 골계의 문장 수사법을 살펴보았다. 그는 정관(靜觀)의 관찰방법을 통해 세상을 다르게 보려 했고, 골계(滑稽)의 문체 수법을 통해 세상과의 관계를 표현하였다. 정관(靜觀)은 주체와 대상을 새롭게 보는 방법이다. 주체의 감각과 사고를 신뢰하고 자신의 독자적 관점에서 천하의 사정과 이치를 분명하게 밝히는 것이었다. 이 경우 당대의 보편적 사고와 충돌하는 지점이 생긴다. 그는 보편적 사고와 독자적 관점의 충돌을 골계(滑稽)의 형식으로도 표현했다. 그는 사유와 행동 기준을 '기미(氣味)'와 '적의(適意)'에 두었다. 이는 세 가지 의미를 지닌다. 첫째 자신의 사유와 행동이 성인의 것과 다르지 않다는 자부심이다. 둘째, 자신은 타인과 구별되는 감성과 사고를 가진 독립적 존재라는 것이다. 셋째, 이에 근거하여 자신의 문학 작품은 독자적 가치를 지닌다는 것이다. 이러한 사유와 행동은 정관(靜觀)의 관찰 방법을 통해 구체화 되었다. 그가 정관(靜觀)의 3단계 과정을 통해 얻은 것은 '호연(浩然)한 마음'이다. 첫 번째 단계는 자기 성찰이다. 그 목적은 '호연(浩然)한 마음'으로 '물래순응(物來順應)'의 경지에 도달하는 것이다. 관찰 기준은 승제(乘除)의 이치이다. 두 번째 대상은 '물지정상(物之情狀)'이다. 그 관찰 대상은 쇠똥구리가 똥덩어리를 굴리는 모습까지 넓어진다. 세 번째 관찰대상은 조화자이다. 조화자의 움직임에 동참하는 것이다. 따라서 자신의 사유와 행동, 문학 작품은 조화자의 움직임과 대등한 의미를 지닌다고 본다. 그는 서술 방법이 자득한 내용에 따라 변화할 수 있다고 하였다. 문장 표현을 조탁하든, 질박하게 하든, 검담하게 하든, 농염하고 화려하게 하든 상황에 맞게 하면 된다는 것이다. 대표적 예로 <성보형화상찬(成甫兄畵像贊)>을 분석하였다. 그는 박문수에 대한 당대의 일반적 평가와 달리 '병든 학'과 '새장 속에 갇힌 학'으로 비유를 하였다. 사적 공간에서 골계를 좋아하는 박문수의 습관과 초상화의 외형적 특징을 연계하여 그의 공적 이미지를 파괴한 것이다. 이를 통해 박문수가 자연 속에 사는 학의 본성을 가지고 있지만, 관료 생활에서 벗어나지 못하는 처세를 웃음을 유도하며 폭로 혹은 비판하고 있다. 이러한 골계의 수사법은 조귀명 산문이 가지는 대표적 특징 중 하나이다. 추후 논문에서 <왜려설(倭驢說)>, <장공예백인설(張公藝百忍說)>, <기몽(記夢)>, <홍앵무부(紅鶯鵡賦)> 등을 골계의 측면에서 구체적으로 살펴보고자 한다.

바스티앙 비베스 작품에 나타나는 소통 - 『Elle(s)』, 『Le Goût du chlore』, 『Dans mes yeux』를 중심으로- (About the Communication in Bastien Vivès -Focusing on 『Elle(s)』, 『Le Goût du chlore』, 『Dans mes yeux』)

  • 바스티앙 비베스(Bastien $Viv{\grave{e}}s$)는 프랑스 그래픽노블의 대표주자로 손꼽히는 작가이다. 본 연구에서는 바스티앙 비베스 작품 "그녀들", "염소의 맛", "내 눈 안의 너"를 통해 그의 작품 세계의 특성을 연구하고, 작품 속에 나타나는 소통의 미학을 살펴보고자 한다. 그의 작품에서 주로 그려내는 것은 청춘의 사랑과 남녀 간의 소통, 즉 사랑에 빠진 남녀 사이에 소통이 어떤 중요한 의미를 지니는지에 대한 이야기이다. 1984년생인 젊은 작가는 사춘기를 지나고 청소년에서 청년이 되어 성인으로 거쳐 가는 과정에 걸쳐진 청춘 남녀의 풋사랑의 이야기를 본인과 본인 주변인의 이야기를 하듯 일상적인 어투로 그려내고 있다. 독특한 경험담이나 특출한 인물의 이야기를 들려주는 "타인"의 이야기가 아닌 "나"의 이야기를 그림으로써, 평범한 일상을 단순한 이야기 구조로 풀어나가며 독자와 감정을 교류하고, 열린 결말을 제공하여 독자와 감정을 소통해 나간다. 작가는 독자와의 감정 소통에 성공한 듯 보이지만, 결국 세 작품 속 남자주인공들은 여자주인공을 이해하지 못하고, 그녀와의 소통이 제대로 이루어지지 않은 채 당황스러움 속에 어리둥절하게 남겨진다. 바스티앙 비베스는 본인의 서투른 경험을 토대로 이루어진 사랑에 대한 세 작품을 통해서 남자와 여자 사이의 소통에 대해서 이야기하고 있다. 그에게 사랑에 대한 이야기는 결국 남녀 간의 소통의 이야기인 것이다.
