Molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to investigate the transport properties of self-diffusion coefficients in the penetrable-sphere model system. The resulting simulation data for the product of the packing fraction and the self-diffusion coefficient exhibit a transition from an increasing function of density in lower repulsive systems, where the soft-type collisions are dominant, to a decreasing function in higher repulsive systems, where most particle collisions are the hard-type reflections due to the low-penetrability effects. A modified Enskog-like equation implemented by the effective packing fraction with the mean-field energy correction is also proposed, and this heuristic approximation yields a reasonably good result even in systems of high densities and high repulsive energy barriers.
In this paper, we have proposed an image contrast control method using brightness preserving on the FPD(Flat Panel Display). The proposed method can be easily applied to the FPD required real-time processing, since hardware complexity is greatly reduced using linear approximation method of CDF(Cumulative Density Function). For effective processing of the proposed algorithm, we have utilized the sample value of CDF and Barrel Shift. Visual test and standard deviation of their histogram have been introduced to evaluate the resultant output images of the pro-posed method and the original ones.

We show how a supplier can peg cost measures to the reliability of his time guarantees via the penalty costs considered in the framework. The framework also enables us to study the connections between the logistics network and the market. In this context, we show that even when the market base increases significantly, the supplier can still use the logistics network designed to satisfy lower demand density, with only a marginal reduction in profit. Finally we show how the framework is useful to evaluate and compare various logistics system improvement strategies. The supplier can then easily choose the improvement strategy that increases his profit with the minimal increase in his logistics costs.

Elastic wave propagation in discrete random medium studies to predict dynamic effective properties of composite materials containing spherical inclusions. A self-consistent method is proposed which is analogous to the well-known coherent potential approximation. Three conditions that must be satisfied by two effective elastic moduli and effective density are derived for the time without limit of frequency. The derived self-consistency conditions have the physical meaning that the scattering of coherent wave by the constituents in effective medium is vanished on the average. The frequency-dependent complex effective wave speed and coherent attenuation can be obtained by solving the derived self-consistency conditions numerically. The wave speed and attenuation obtained from present theory are shown to be in the better agreements with previous experimental observations than the previous theory.
We present a Monte-Carlo simulation code, which solves the problem of dust-scattering in interstellar dust clouds with arbitrary light source distribution and dust density structure, and calculate the surface brightness distribution. The method is very flexible and can be applied to radiative transfer problems occurring not only in a single dust cloud, but also in extragalactic dust environment. We compare, for performance test, the result of Monte-Carlo simulation with the well-known analytic approximation for a spherically symmetric homogeneous cloud. We find that the Code approximation gives a very accurate result.
It is necessary to improve mechanical and optical properties in the optical disk substrates as the information storage density using short wavelength laser are being developed. The birefringence distribution is regarded as one of the most important optical properties for optical disk. In the present study, the birefringence distrubution is calculated using the Leonov model for viscoelastic constitutive equations and Cross/WLF model for viscosity approximation. The effects of processing conditions upon the development of birefringence discosity approximation. The effects of processing conditions upon the development of birefringence distribution in the optical disk were examined theoretically. It was found that the values of the birefringence distributions were very sensitive to the mold wall temperature history which minimizes the birefringence distribution. The analytical results showed the possibility of improving mechanical and optical properties in the optical disk substrates by active control of the mold wall temperature history.

When we see a binary black and white image, it appears. to our visual sense, to become clearer because of a pseudo halftone. This is because when we don't notice of all the details of the image, instead we see from a more global standpoint. We presented a theory and experimental results for layered model which extended external world, retina and brain of the two dimensional visual model. This paper propose the objective evaluation to coincide with the subjective evaluation of the human in ordered to evaluate the relative merits of the various modulation method. We obtain experimentally the restored images and the measure of approximation of the density four division and ordered dither method. The measure of approximation present s the objective evaluation scale to coincide with the subjective evaluation of the two modulation images.

This study aims deriving analysis the flow characteristic of kitchen hood system with using 3-D numerical analysis method and improving the system to expel pollutes more efficiently. This system is applied with $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulent model and using incompressibility viscosity flow range and boundary condition which are related to Bossinesq approximation following density variation in control volume. To understand the flow characteristics of four models, this study only focuses on velocity field, temperature field, and concentration field varying with followings whether separation plate is set or not and the shapes of separation plates. The quantity of air, speed of exhaust fan and temperature and concentration of heating source are concerned as constant values.
In this work, the ground-state properties of an interacting electron gas confined in a two-dimensional quantum dot system with the Gaussian potential ${\upsilon}(r)=V_0(1-{\exp}(-r^2/p))$, where $V_0$ and p are confinement parameters, are determined numerically by using the Thomas-Fermi approximation. The shape of the potential is modified by changing the $V_0$ and the p values, and the influence of the confining potential on the system's properties, such as the chemical energy, the density profile, the kinetic energy, the confining energy, etc., is analyzed for both the non-interacting and the interacting cases. The results are compared with those calculated for a harmonic potential, and excellent agreement is obtained in the limit of high p values for both the non-interacting and the interacting cases.
In order to know how the magnetic field increases with density in interstellar clouds, we have analyzed observations of extinction and polarization for stars in the ${\rho}$ Oph molecular cloud complex. The size of grains in dense parts of the complex is estimated to be larger than the ones in diffuse interstellar clouds by about 15 percent in radii. Employing the Davis-Greenstein mechanism for grain alignment with this estimated grain size, we have put constraints on the exponent in the field-density relation $B{\propto}n^x:1/5{\leq}x{\leq}1/3$. It is concluded that magnetic field in gravitationally contracting clouds increases less steeply than the classical expectation based on the approximation of isotropic contraction with complete frozen-in flux.
