  • In this study, we have investigated a conductive fiber properties for smart wear. The effect of factors such as fiber length, denier, sewing method, washing on conductivity achieved was investigated and determined using stereoscopic microscope, SEM and LCR meter.

  • This is studied about the development of new PET yarn having the new appearance and touch effect of Polyester(PET) Yarn as using spinning and texturing technology. The spinning technology is that we use the manufacturing technology caused to the denier difference of filaments composing of yarn. And the texturing technology is that we develope texturing condition caused to spun yarn effect as using filaments producing from the spinning processing.

  • This study was performed to develop a new PET yarn having the new appearance and touch effect of polyester (PET) yarn, using spinning and texturing technologies. The spinning technology is the manufacturing technology resulting in the denier difference in yarn filaments, and the texturing technology is the texturing conditions leading to spun yarn effects, using the filaments from the spinning processing.

'ㅂ'자 자수형 도전사 UHF RFID 태그 안테나 (Embroidery 'ㅂ' Character Type UHF RFID Tag Antenna Design)

  • 본 논문에서는 도전사를 이용하여 UHF 대역에서 동작하는 'ㅂ'자 자수 형태의 wearable RFID tag 안테나를 설계하였다. T-정합 형태를 가지는 'ㅂ'자의 자수형 tag 안테나를 다양한 도전사의 특성을 분석하여 전기적 성질이 좋은 200D(데니아)의 도전사로 자수 형태로 의복에 직접 자수를 넣을 수 있도록 설계하였다. 의류 위에 전도성을 가진 도전사를 이용한 태그를 자수해서 넣음으로 해서 의류의 착용할 수 있고 구부러질 수 있으면서 인식이 가능하게 하였다. 도전사의 데니아(denier)별로 제작 가능한 실의 전기적 특성을 측정하고, 그 측정치를 기반으로 자수 형태의 RFID 태그를 제작하였다. 제작한 안테나의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 반사 손실, 인식 거리 패턴 등을 측정하여 약 1.52 m의 인식 거리를 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

방사속도 및 공급률에 따른 PET 태세사(Thick & Thin yarn)의 특성 (Characterization of PET Thick & Thin Yarns on the Spinning Speed and Over Feed Ratio)

  • The aim of this work is to develop Thick-Thin polyester yarn(T-T yarn) with finer than 1 denier mono filament. The manufacture of T-T yarns were carried out in a draw-winder using 85d/72f PET filament with various spinning speed of 2700, 2900, and 3100 m/min, respectively. The structure and physical properties of T-T yarns with spinning speed and over feed ratio were examined by draw-winder processing the sample in $100^{\circ}C$ water for 20 min and drying in 120, 140, 160, and $180^{\circ}C$ of dry air for 20 min. The crystallinity, the birefringence and the initial elasticity modulus of T-T yarns increased with increased spinning speed of filament and the heat treatment temperature but at the temperatures higher than $140^{\circ}C$ the increased rates show a tendency to decrease. Moreover, the initial modulus and the tenacity of T-T yarns increased with decreasing the over feed ratio of filament and the those of T-T yarns decreases with increasing the heat treatment temperature. The shrinkage of T-T yarns decreased with decreasing spinning speed and increased over feed ratio of filaments. Consequently, the results indicate that the best T-T yarn under 1 denier was optimized from PET filament with spinning speed of 2700 m/min and over feed ratio of 0.67

감성 의류용 국내.외 PET 사(絲)의 물성편차에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Variation of the Physical Properties between Domestic and Foreign Filament PET Yarns for Sensitive Clothing)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 7개회사와 중국과 대만의 각각 2개회사에서 만든 PET POY 사(絲)의 섬도, 인장역학특성 그리고 열 수축특성 등의 물성편차에 대해 연구하였다. 이를 위해 준비된 시료로서는 239d/96f 중국사와 255d/48f의 국내사를 시료로 사용하였으며 120d 굵기의 중국사와 대만사 두 가지를 국내 6개 기업에서 만들어진 사(絲)와 또한 각각 비교하였다. 그리고 섬도, 인장역학특성 그리고 습열과 건열 수축률 등과 같은 물성 실험은 원사 케이크 내의 사(絲), 50,000m를 1개 층으로 각각 나누어 각각의 층별로 측정하였으며 이들 원사 케이크 내외층의 물성의 편차를 국내 외 원사별로 측정 분석하였다. 이들 결과들은 국내 중소 제직, 사가공 기업에게 고부가가치 고감성 소재를 개발하는데 필요한 기초물성 데이터를 제공해주는 데 큰 의의를 가진다.

  • PET fabrics of various luster, fiber thickness(denier), and weaving structure were dyed at the same conditions and determined their grey scale by using naked eyes, computer color matching (CCM) system, and real industry color (RIC) device to evaluate the effectiveness of RIC device developed in this study. As for the luster of fabrics, bright PET showed more differences when compared with semi-dull and full-dull. PET in both naked eyes and RIC device since the RIC device provide the real image of fabrics to observers. As for the fiber thickness, the results of naked eyes and RIC device were very similar while the result of CCM showed lower color grade. Finally, as for the weaving structures of PET fabrics, all the test results by naked eyes, CCM, and RIC device showed almost same grey scales. In these regards, the RIC device developed in this study was comparable to naked eyes by providing the real image of fabrics, however it was difficult to compare the very bright colors such as yellow and fiber thickness(denier) and weaving structure of fabrics.

  • 최근 고감성 PET 사를 이용하여 생산한 PET 직물은 고감성 의류용 직물로서 많이 사용되고 있다. 이러한 고감성 의류용 PET 직물은 다양한 공정을 거치면서 장력이나 열 등의 영향을 받음으로서 사의 물성의 변화를 초래하여 감성 의류용도의 PET 직물에 많은 결점을 유발시킴으로서 직물 생산시 공정조건 설정 등의 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 이러한 고감성 의류에 치명적인 문제를 유발하는 문제점에 관한 감성사 제조시의 공정조건 변화와 관련된 연구논문은 많이 발표가 되지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 7개 원사 Maker의 cake내의 Denier 별 PET 사의 물성을 균일한 길이의 Layer를 설정하여 분석, 조사하고 Layer 별 물성 차이와 습·건열 열처리 온도에 따른 사의 수축률 등을 비교함으로서 감성 의류용 직물 생산에 필요한 기초 물성 Data를 제공하고 PET 사의 품질향상을 도모함으로서 최종 감성 의류용 직물 소재 개발에 기여할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

Studies on Sex-linked Inheritance of Quantitative Characters in Direct and Reciprocal Crosses of Silkworm Bombyx mori L.

  • The present investigation was carried out to study the possible cause for reciprocal difference in silkworm hybrids. By utilising the polyvoltine race Pure Mysore (PM) and newly evolved breeds (CSR2, CSR5, CSR16 and CSR17), the direct and reciprocal crosses of polyvoltine ${\times}$ bivoltine and also bivoltine hybrids were studied. The hybrids of polyvoltine ${\times}$ bivoltine (direct) are superior to their reciprocal crosses in respect of cocoon yield, cocoon weight and filament length. The reciprocal crosses of polyvoltine ${\times}$ bivoltine are superior to their direct crosses in respect of fecundity and short larval duration. No significant differences were observed in the characters like cocoon shell ratio, raw silk percentage, denier, reelability and neatness in both polyvoltine ${\times}$ bivoltine direct crosses and their reciprocals. The expression of cocoon characters as a function of sex revealed that direct crosses (polyvoltine ${\times}$ bivoltine) showed higher cocoon weight, pupal weight, shell weight and longer filament length in females than the reciprocal crosses (bivoltine ${\times}$ polyvoltine), where as these characters in males were almost the same in both direct and reciprocal crosses, indicating that the sex-linked genetic factor played a more important role. it was clear that difference in cocoon yield observed in reciprocal crosses of polyvoltine ${\times}$ bivoltine was due to the low cocoon and shell weight in females which was turn due to presence of early maturity genes (Lme) linked with sex-chromosome (X) which effect on larvae period of the silkworm. In bivoltine hybrids, i.e., both direct and their reciprocals crosses, all the characters viz., hatching percentage, larval duration, survival, cocoon weight, cocoon shell weight, cocoon shell ratio, raw silk percentage, filament length, denier, reelability and neatness did not show any significant difference (except number of eggs laid by moth) which could account for presence of same maturity genes (Lm) in both direct and reciprocal crosses. it was clear that reciprocal differences occur when the hybrids are prepared from the parental strains with different voltinism.

  • The effect of topical application 100,300 and 500 $\mu$g/ ml with Mineral Salts of magnesium sulphate and potassium nitrate on economic parameters was ana- lyzed following treatment of last larval stadium. The treated larvae showed significantly decreased larval weight and silk gland weight in all the treated groups along with other decreased Iarval, cocoon and adult parameters. The female cocoon weight was significantly decreased in all the treated groups with decreased female cocoon shell weight and male cocoon weight at 300 and 500$\mu$g/ml respectively. The length and weight of filament was significantly decreased at 300 and 500 $\mu$g/ml respectively and denier at 500 $\mu$g/ ml. The fecundity decreased significantly in 300 and 500 $\mu$g/ml treated groups when compared with the corresponding parameters of the carrier control.
