  • Given a graph G, a {1, 3, …, 2n-1}-factor of G is a spanning subgraph of G, in which each degree of vertices is one of {1, 3, …, 2n-1}, where n is a positive integer. In this paper, we first establish a lower bound on the size (resp. the spectral radius) of G to guarantee that G contains a {1, 3, …, 2n-1}-factor. Then we determine an upper bound on the distance spectral radius of G to ensure that G has a {1, 3, …, 2n-1}-factor. Furthermore, we construct some extremal graphs to show all the bounds obtained in this contribution are best possible.

  • In 2017, Nikiforov proposed the A𝛼-matrix of a graph G. This novel matrix is defined as A𝛼(G) = 𝛼D(G) + (1 - 𝛼)A(G), 𝛼 ∈ [0, 1], where D(G) and A(G) are the degree diagonal matrix and adjacency matrix of G, respectively. Recently, Zhai, Xue and Liu [39] considered the Brualdi-Hoffman-type problem for Q-spectra of graphs with given matching number. As a continuance of it, in this contribution we consider the Brualdi-Hoffman-type problem for A𝛼-spectra of graphs with given matching number. We identify the graphs with given size and matching number having the largest A𝛼-spectral radius for ${\alpha}{\in}[{\frac{1}{2}},1)$.

  • Knowing what factors into a player's ability to affect the outcome of a sports game is crucial. This knowledge helps determine the relative degree of contribution by each team member as well as sets appropriate annual salaries. This study uses statistical analysis to investigate how much the outcome of a professional baseball game is influenced by the records of individual players. We used the Lotte Giants' data on 252 games played between 2007 and 2008 that included environmental data(home or away games and opponents) as well as pitchers' and batters' data. Using a SAS Enterprise Miner, we performed a logistic regression analysis and decision tree analysis on the data. The results obtained through the two analytic methods are compared and discussed.

  • In the Smart UAV Development Program, one of the 21c Frontier R&D Program, the tiltrotor has been studied as the concept of vehicle. The tiltrortor aircraft take-off and land in rotary wing mode like conventional helicopter, and cruise in fixed wing mode like conventional propeller airplane. For the conversion of the flight mode from helicopter to airplane, the nacelle located at wing tip has to be tilted from about 90 degrees of helicopter mode to about 0 degree of airplane mode. In this study, the aerodynamic characteristics of the wing with tilted nacelle is investigated using computation fluid dynamics technique. In order to feature out aerodynamic interferences between wing and nacelle, the flow calculations are conducted for the wing and the nacelle separately and for the combined geometry of wing and nacelle, respectively. Through this computations, not only the aerodynamic data-base for the wing-nacelle is constructed but also its contribution to the configuration design of the wing-nacelle is anticipated.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new approach to weight each feature parameter by considering the dispersion of feature parameters and its degree of contribution to recognition rate. We determined the total distribution factor that is proportional to recognition rate of each feature parameter and the dispersion factor according to the dispersion of each feature parameter. Then. we determined state-dependent weighting using the total distribution factor and dispersion factor. To verify the validity of the proposed approach, recognition experiments were performed using the PLU(Phoneme-Like Unit)-based HMM. Experimental results showed the improvement of 7.7% at the recognition rate using the proposed method.

  • In order to examine the effect of CuO and Al2O3 addition on the electrical conductivity of ZnO, both Al2O3 (0, 1, 2, 5, 10at.%) and CuO (1, 5at.%) were added to ZnO. Al2O3 addition (~2at.% Al) increased the total electrical conductivity of ZnO which was already decreased by CuO doping effect Above solid solubility of Al (~2at.%), ZnAl2O4 formed and the total electrical conductivity decreased due to the decrease of sintered density. Impedance measurements were used to know the reason and degree of contribution of three resistive elements, ZnO grain, ZnO/CuO, and ZnO/ZnO grain boundaries, to the total electrical conductivity changed.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate visitors' environmental attitudes of educational tourism, environmental preservation, and regional economic benefits satisfaction through the Chunsuman Bay Birdwatching Festival. The results of this study were as follows: First, the degree of educational satisfaction was high and this festival provided environmental preservation mind for visitors and local residents as well. The festival participants had a positive attitude toward migratory birds. Especially, the residents who had negative perceptions toward migratory birds due to physical harms of agricultural crops was positively changed after visiting this festival. So there should be prepared for more strategic approaches for residents' visiting and participating this birdwatching festival. Second, while the number of tourists was increased, it did not make a practical contribution to residents' income Particularly, farmers' satisfaction was low. So there should be more strategic programs to improve residents' economic rewards for sustainable development.

  • For this study, the multi-degree of freedom analysis model of torsional vibration was developed. This model is combined with mass moment of inertia and torsional spring in two wheel drive and four wheel drive vehicle. We compared and analyzed torsional vibration characteristics by natural frequencies and mode shapes which are obtained by free vibration analysis of this model. And we studied torsional vibration contribution of driveline elements by performing the forced vibration analysis of engine excitation torque. The validity of this model is demonstrated by the field test. The reduction effect of the torsional vibration along the driveline design factor is presented by the analytical results.

  • The purposes of this study were to explore the rural women's labor by measuring labor value economically. To achieve the purpose, this study applied four methods : replacement cost method individual function, replacement cost method generalist, opportunity cost method and shadow wage method. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Time used for agricultural work and household work by with women were 5.3 hours and 3.8 hours each. 2) According to the methods used, the amounts of valuing rural women's labor were varied and ranged from 23,000 won to 43,000 won per day. This study might help recognize the degree of rural women's labor contribution to the household income of farm households and improve the socio-economic status of rural women through showing the productivity of the rural women's labor.

  • In this paper, we investigate the electrical characteristics of contaminants on highvoltage insulators. We measure the conductivity of polluted water obtained from bottom surface of insulators with wiping method with wiping method, then calculate the equivalent salt deposit density(ESDD) with specific equation. And, through the analysis, ICP/MS, for contaminants, we can know the amount of specific composition which is contained in the washed solution. Based on the analysis result, we investigated the degree of contribution on the electrical characteristics of contaminant solution. Through this investigation, we got some significant result, such as the relationship between the conductivity and solubility.
