  • Many various products are manufactured which have sculptured surfaces recently. Constructing surface of these models is required technique called reverse engineering. In reverse engineering, a product which has sculptured surfaces is measured and we create surface model to acquire complete model data of object. Measured point data needs preprocess and sampling. Next a set of point data in a plane fit section curve. At last, surface is generated by fitting to section curves. Here we uses sweep surface. Sweep surface is compatible fitting CAD model to drawing. This paper discusses converting approximation of NURBS surface as a standard surface.

고장시간 자료의 통계적 분석을 위한 PWF-GPH 방법 (PWF-GPH method for the statistical analysis of failure time data)

  • In this paper, a life distribution fitting method based on generalized phase-type distributions(GPH) is presented. By fitting the life distribution to a GPH, we can utilize various useful properties of the GPH. Two different approaches are used according to the properties of the given failure time data. One is an approximation to a GPH through the piecewise Weibull failure rate(PWF) model and the other is a direct approximation to a GPH using the empirical distribution function. Two numerical examples are also presented. In the first example, both of the two approaches are utilized and compared for an incomplete data set. And in the second example, the direct approximation method from an empirical distribution is utilized for the analysis of a complete data set. In both cases, we could confirm the validity of the proposed method.

Alternative Method of AWG Phase Measurement Based on Fitting Interference Intensity

  • Arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) phase errors are normally assessed from the Fourier transform of the interference intensity data in the frequency domain method. However it is possible to identify the phases directly from the intensity data if one adopts a trial-and-error method. Since the functional form of the intensity profile is known, the intensities can be calculated theoretically by assuming arbitrary phase errors. Then we decide the phases that give the best fit to the experimental data. We verified this method by a simulation. We calculated the intensities for an artificial AWG which is given arbitrary phases and amplitudes. Then we extracted the phases and amplitudes from the intensity data by using our trial-and-error method. The extracted values are in good agreement with the originally given values. This approach yields better results than the analysis using Fourier transforms.

안경원의 안경 조제·가공료와 피팅비 정착화에 관한 연구 (The research on the characterization solution of eyeglass dispensing & fitting fee in optical shop)

  • 본 연구에서는 안경 조제 가공료와 피팅비 필요성 및 정착화에 필요한 내용에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 2016년 8월 1일부터 9월 30일까지 서울, 경기 지역의 안경사 202명을 대상으로 각 설문항목을 설정하고 온라인 오프라인으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 모든 자료의 통계처리는 Origin Pro 8.5를 사용하여 실시하였다. 안경 조제 가공료와 피팅비 도입의 필요성에 대하여서는 각각 92.1%(186명), 93.1%(188명)가 도입 필요성에 대해서 긍정적으로 평가하고 있었다. 안경 조제 가공료와 피팅비에 대한 설문분석 및 해외사례를 통해 안정화된 정책을 제공함으로써 보건의료 서비스 전문가로서 안경사의 위치를 정립하여야 할 필요가 있다고 조사되었다.

PCB상 Single 및 Differential Via의 전기적 파라미터 추출 (Extraction of Electrical Parameters for Single and Differential Vias on PCB)

  • 본 논문은 인쇄 회로 기판에 있는 through hole vias를 시간 영역과 주파수 영역 측정을 통하여 characterization을 하였다. Via characterization은 Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR)를 이용하여 시간 영역에서 측정하고 HSPICE fitting 시뮬레이션으로 via 모델 파라미터를 추출하였다. 또한 2 port Vector Network Analyzer (VNA)로 주파수 영역에서 측정하고 Advanced Design System (ADS) fitting 시뮬레이션 하였다. VNA를 이용한 측정에서는 같은 평면에서 probing하기 위해 ABCD matrix 를 이용하여 do-embedding 수식을 유도하였다. 그리고 single via characterization 결과를 바탕으로 differential signaling을 위한 differential via characterization을 TDR과 VNA 측정을 통하여 수행하였다. Differential via characterization은 TDR 모듈의 odd mode와 even mode 소스들을 이용하여 시간 영역에서 측정하고 HSPICE로 fitting 시뮬레이션으로 모델 파라미터를 추출하였다. 추출된 모든 data는 측정 및 simulation 결과를 비교한 결과 single via의 경우, 최대 $14\%$, differential via의 경우 최대 $17\%$의 오차를 나타내었다.

환경별 사용자 피팅이 가능한 스마트폰 보청기 어플리케이션 개발 (Development of Smart Phone Application with User Fitting for Hearing Impaired in Various Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 보청기 사용자가 본인의 청력손실도를 청력검사를 통해 스스로 측정하여 보청기/이어폰에 피팅이 가능한 어플리케이션을 개발하였다. 개발된 어플리케이션은 청력검사와 피팅을 통한 증폭 기능을 동시에 제공한다는 점에서 청력검사 기능 혹은 증폭 기능만 갖춘 기존의 어플리케이션들과 차이점이 있다. 개발된 어플리케이션의 청력검사는 기본검사와 정밀검사를 제공하며, 두 검사 모두 순음청력검사방법을 사용하여 6개의 주파수에서 청력손실도를 측정한다. 기본검사는 난청인의 청력손실도 경향을 이용하여 검사 과정을 단축시킴으로써 짧은 검사 시간을 제공하며, 정밀검사는 모든 주파수 영역에서 이중 확인을 통해 보다 정확한 결과를 제공한다. 청력검사의 결과로 얻은 주파수별 청력손실도를 기반으로 음성 명료도를 높이기 위해 입력신호는 보청기 피팅 방법 중 하나인 NAL-NL1 방법을 통하여 증폭된다. 또한 환경설정기능을 통하여 저장된 설정 값을 불러와 바로 적용할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다. 이처럼 개발된 어플리케이션은 사용자 스스로 피팅 과정을 진행할 수 있기에 피팅을 위해 주기적으로 병원이나 전문센터를 방문하였던 기존의 불편함을 간편화하여 보청기를 사용하는 난청인의 수를 증가 시킬 것으로 전망된다.

Accuracy Improvement of Boron Meter Adopting New Fitting Function and Multi-detector

  • This paper introduces a boron meter with improved accuracy compared with other commercially available boron meters. Its design includes a new fitting function and a multi-detector. In pressurized water reactors (PWRs) in Korea, many boron meters have been used to continuously monitor boron concentration in reactor coolant. However, it is difficult to use the boron meters in practice because the measurement uncertainty is high. For this reason, there has been a strong demand for improvement in their accuracy. In this work, a boron meter evaluation model was developed, and two approaches were considered to improve the boron meter accuracy: the first approach uses a new fitting function and the second approach uses a multi-detector. With the new fitting function, the boron concentration error was decreased from 3.30 ppm to 0.73 ppm. With the multi-detector, the count signals were contaminated with noise such as field measurement data, and analyses were repeated 1,000 times to obtain average and standard deviations of the boron concentration errors. Finally, using the new fitting formulation and multi-detector together, the average error was decreased from 5.95 ppm to 1.83 ppm and its standard deviation was decreased from 0.64 ppm to 0.26 ppm. This result represents a great improvement of the boron meter accuracy.

  • A procedure of detecting change-points is considered with split linear fitting idea from Hall and Titterington(1992). At each given point, left, central and right linear fits are compared to detect the discontinuities or change-points. A simulation study is done with various types of change models and shows that the suggested technique can be a flexible data-analytic tool.

  • The purpose of the present study is to find design factors that have an effect on man's foot, and to develop an optimal last for man's functional shoe design based on these factors. Analyzing 4000 men's foot data, three men were selected for fitting test with the last and shoes manufactured in the present work. Based on the results of the fitting test, the modifications of last for the optimal design have been made using CAD/CAM technologies.

Precision Determination of Anisotropy Constant $K_1$from Magnetization Curve of Partially Aligned Unaxial Anisotropy System

  • A method to deduce the rotational magnetization curve from experimental magnetization of partially aligned uniaxial anisotropy system has been investigated. The curve obtained by this process has been evaluated quire close to the theoretical magnetization curve compared to that obtained by linear extrapolation from high field data. This new approach offers better accuracy for the determination of magnetic anisotropy by fitting a calculated magnetization curve to the obversed one.
