  • Recently, compressive sensing based data loss recovery techniques have become popular for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) applications. These techniques involve an encoding process which is onerous to sensor node because of random sensing matrices used in compressive sensing. In this paper, we are presenting a model where the sampled raw acceleration data is directly transmitted to base station/receiver without performing any type of encoding at transmitter. The received incomplete acceleration data after data losses can be reconstructed faithfully using compressive sensing based reconstruction techniques. An in-depth simulated analysis is presented on how random losses and continuous losses affects the reconstruction of acceleration signals (obtained from a real bridge). Along with performance analysis for different simulated data losses (from 10 to 50%), advantages of performing interleaving before transmission are also presented.

  • This research is to reconstruction of railway alignment using GPS data, an investigation is made on the method of optimum simplification for reduction of unnecessary linear data, improve the accuracy by using four simplification algorithms among the methods. By applying two measured of displacement between observed data and it's simplification methods have been evaluated. The results showed that the complexities of lines is not practical to investigate simplification algorithms, the Douglas-Peucker method produced a little displacement between observed data and it's simplification. Its by using the Douglas-Peucker method to observed linear GPS data in railway track, design elements of horizontal alignment have been calculated. Then we could know that obtain the good results fur reconstruction of alignment elements through the methods and algorithns of this study.

  • The Fourier convolution algorithms are used to reconstruct a 3-D density function from the projection data sets. The convolved data are then back projected to obtain a density function. There are several choices of the weighting function for the design of the reconstruction(deblurring) filter. Present paper reviews the design of reconstruction filter considering the problems such as the effects of sampling rate, aliasing, and noise.

  • In electrical impedance tomography(EIT), we use boundary current and voltage measurements toprovide the information about the cross-sectional distribution of electrical impedance or resistivity. One of the major problems in EIT has been the inaccessibility of internal voltage or current data in finding the internal impedance values. We propose a new image reconstruction method using internal current density data measured by NMR. We obtained a two-dimensional current density distribution within a phantom by processing the real and imaginary MR images from a 4.77 NMR machine. We implemented a resistivity mage reconstruction algorithm using the finite element method and sensitivity matrix. We presented computer simulation results of the mage reconstruction algorithm and furture direction of the research.

  • Shape reconstruction is considered as a new technology to be useful and important in many areas such as RPD (Rapid Product Development) and reverse engineering, compared with the conventional design and manufacturing. In shape reconstruction, it becomes possible to reconstruct objects not by their measured shape data but those data extracted from the original shape. The goal of this research is to realize 3D shape construction by showing a possible way to analyze the input image data and reconstruct that original shape. The main 2 steps of the reconstructing process are getting cross-section data from image processing and linking loops between one slice and the next one. And the reconstructed object in this way is compared with the other object using a laser scanner and modelled by an commercial software.

  • In this study, we established an algorithm to determine whether the work in the gas facility is a normal work or an abnormal work using the threshold of the reconstruction error of the autoencoder. This algorithm do deep learning the autoencoder only with time-series data of a normal work, and derives the optimized threshold of the reconstruction error of the normal work. We applied this algorithm to the time series data of the new work to get the reconstruction error, and then compare it with the reconstruction error threshold of the normal work to determine whether the work is normal work or abnormal work. In order to train and validate this algorithm, we defined the work in a virtual gas facility, and constructed the training data set consisting only of normal work data and the validation data set including both normal work and abnormal work data.

  • Recently Digital-TachoGraph(DTG) was mounted mandatorily in commercial vehicles(Taxi, Bus, etc.). DTG records accurate and detailed information of the running state of vehicles related to traffic accident, such as Time, Distance, Velocity, RPM, Brake ON/OFF, GPS, Azimuth, Acceleration. Thus those standardized data can play an important role in traffic accident investigation and reconstruction. To develope the accurate and objective method using the DTG data for the reconstruction of traffic accident, we had conducted several tests such as driving test, high speed circuit test, braking test, slalom test at Korea Automobile Testing & Research Institute(KATRI), and collision test at Korea Automobile insurance repair Research and Training center(KART) with the vehicle equipped with several DTG. Development of the program which enables the reading and analysis of the DTG data was followed. In the experiments, we have found velocity error, RPM error, brake signal error and azimuth error in several products, and also non-continuous event data. The cause of these errors was deduced to be related to the correction factor, the durability of electronic parts and the algorithm.

  • A factorization-based 3D reconstruction system is realized to recover 3D scene from an image sequence. The image sequence is captured from uncalibrated perspective camera from several views. Many matched feature points over all images are obtained by feature tracking method. Then, these data are supplied to the 3D reconstruction module to obtain the projective reconstruction. Projective reconstruction is converted to Euclidean reconstruction by enforcing several metric constraints. After many triangular meshes are obtained, realistic reconstruction of 3D models are finished by texture mapping. The developed system is implemented in C++, and Qt library is used to implement the system user interface. OpenGL graphics library is used to realize the texture mapping routine and the model visualization program. Experimental results using synthetic and real image data are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed system.

  • Wireless Sensor Network(WSNs) consists of small sensor nodes with sensing, computation, and wireless communication capabilities. It has new information collection scheme and monitoring solution for a variety of applications. Faults occurring to sensor nodes are common due to the limited resources and the harsh environment where the sensor nodes are deployed. In order to ensure the network quality of service it is necessary for the WSN to be able to detect the faulty sensors and take necessary actions for the reconstruction of the lost sensor data caused by fault as earlier as possible. In this paper, we propose an recursive PCA-based fault detection and lost data reconstruction algorithm for sensor networks. Also, the performance of proposed scheme was verified with simulation studies.

  • In this paper we have constructed three dimensional images and examined structural failure on thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display (LCD) by using dual-beam focused ion beam (FIB) and IMOD software. Specimen was sectioned with dual-beam focused ion beam. Series of two dimensional images were obtained by scanning electron microscopy. Three dimensional reconstruction was constructed from them by using IMOD software. The short defect between Gate layer and Data layer was found from the result of three dimensional reconstruction. That phenomena made the function of the gate lost and data signal supplied to the electrode though the Drain continuously. That signal made continuous line defect. The result of the three dimensional reconstruction, serial section, SEM imaging by using the FIB will be the foundation of the next advanced study.
