Optimal design of Self-Organizing Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks with evolutionarily optimized FPN (진화론적으로 최적화된 FPN에 의한 자기구성 퍼지 다항식 뉴럴 네트워크의 최적 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose a new architecture of Self-Organizing Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(SOFPNN) by means of genetically optimized fuzzy polynomial neuron(FPN) and discuss its comprehensive design methodology involving mechanisms of genetic optimization, especially genetic algorithms(GAs). The conventional SOFPNNs hinges on an extended Group Method of Data Handling(GMDH) and exploits a fixed fuzzy inference type in each FPN of the SOFPNN as well as considers a fixed number of input nodes located in each layer. The design procedure applied in the construction of each layer of a SOFPNN deals with its structural optimization involving the selection of preferred nodes (or FPNs) with specific local characteristics (such as the number of input variables, the order of the polynomial of the consequent part of fuzzy rules, a collection of the specific subset of input variables, and the number of membership function) and addresses specific aspects of parametric optimization. Therefore, the proposed SOFPNN gives rise to a structurally optimized structure and comes with a substantial level of flexibility in comparison to the one we encounter in conventional SOFPNNs. To evaluate the performance of the genetically optimized SOFPNN, the model is experimented with using two time series data(gas furnace and chaotic time series).

  • National performance-based design methods and prescribed standards for various input data not defined as separated regulation, ASET and RSET fire and evacuation simulations on the data cited by different designers. This is also directly connected reliability problems for the evacuation simulation and performance-based fire. standardizing the various input to performance-based fire and evacuation simulations of a similar risk, regardless of the experience of designer or technical skills. The performance-based targets proper fire-fighting and emergency equipment installed reasonable initial investment cost to done ensure safety.

  • This case analyze the point of trouble and reform processing construction on input design to resolve the problem for setting tower in front of narrow base at the 154kV OO Transmission Line substaion. Hereafter the input design are presented for the basic reference data which the case a point of trouble and reform contents, input design of special shape tower and the foundation on substation input design cannot be setted by standard type of tower because of narrow base and cannot keep clerance overhead transmission conductor input to the substion.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a two-way automatic communication system using a mobile instant messenger that can provide a customized service through a real-time two-way communication using a mobile instant messaging service. Two-way automatic communication system using a mobile instant messenger can improve the quality and quantity of information in real-time update of the information through the feedback. In addition, since it is communicated by using a mobile Instant Messanger in 1:1 there is no concerns that is recognized as spam, as well as it is possible to provide customized information for each user. Two-way automatic communication system using a mobile instant messanger shows the difference of the speed according to the data input time in typing by hands in result of comparing the time to input a date and the processing speed to search a data. Therefore in category treatment, command processing and natural language processing, Category treatment way is the most excellent in aspect of data processing speed, otherwise in aspect of the total speed to combine the data input time and the processing time, the command processing way is the best method.

  • DB production process includes a series of data analysis, DB design, source data input, data conversion and load, and DB operation and maintenance. Software development and operation technique for data input and DR production is similar to each other, even though each computer environment or the function of information retrieval system is a little different. The purpose of this paper is to introduce software for data input and DR production in ETLARS system, which is providing services to 6.000 users ( a s of Oct. 10, 1994) by Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, and to open know-how information in the production and operation of Hanguel DR.

  • In this paper, with the aid of information which is included within data, preprocessing algorithm-based black plastic classifier is designed. The slope and area of spectrum obtained by using laser induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) are analyzed for each material and its ensuing information is applied as the input data of the proposed classifier. The slope is represented by the rate of change of wavelength and intensity. Also, the area is calculated by the wavelength of the spectrum peak where the material property of chemical elements such as carbon and hydrogen appears. Using informations such as slope and area, input data of the proposed classifier is constructed. In the preprocessing part of the classifier, Principal Component Analysis(PCA) and fuzzy transform are used for dimensional reduction from high dimensional input variables to low dimensional input variables. Characteristic analysis of the materials as well as the processing speed of the classifier is improved. In the condition part, FCM clustering is applied and linear function is used as connection weight in the conclusion part. By means of Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO), parameters such as the number of clusters, fuzzification coefficient and the number of input variables are optimized. To demonstrate the superiority of classification performance, classification rate is compared by using WEKA 3.8 data mining software which contains various classifiers such as Naivebayes, SVM and Multilayer perceptron.

  • In this paper, we discuss optimal design of Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks by means of Genetic Algorithms(GAs). Proceeding the layer, this model creates the optimal network architecture through the selection and the elimination of nodes by itself. So, there is characteristic of flexibility. We use a triangle and a Gaussian-like membership function in premise part of rules and design the consequent structure by constant and regression polynomial (linear, quadratic and modified quadratic) function between input and output variables. GAs is applied to improve the performance with optimal input variables and number of input variables and order. To evaluate the performance of the GAs-based FPNNs, the models are experimented with the use of Medical Imaging System(MIS) data.

  • This paper deals with the CMOS PLA Generator using CHISEL language. The program which plots a CMOS PLA alphanumeric layout automatically according to desired input functions and output functions has been developed. The program consists of procedures. These procedure are drawing a stick diagram with input data, converting any design rule, plotting a physical layout at IBM PC-AT with CIF input data. Physical layout information of dynamic CMOS PLA is stored CIF form. The CMOS PLA Generator is written in CHISEL which is layout language VLSI design tools and run on a VAX11/750 running UNIX.

  • The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the input methods of the numeric keypads that are widely used in various types of consumer and industrial electronic products. Three methods to enter numerals using keypads were compared: (1) Machine Intelligence, (2) + 100 key, and (3) Enter key input methods. Experiments were conducted to compare these three input methods for the channel selection of TV. Experimental prototypes which simulate TV user interfaces were developed using $RAPID^{TM}$ for usability testings. In the experiment, data on subject performance such as completion time, operational errors, and user interaction were collected through auto-logging method and video recording. After each test session, subjective preference was also asked using a questionnaire. In order to analyze the type of operation errors and the error causation, operation sequences were analyzed from the collected data. The Enter key input method showed better performance than other input methods. Based on these results. we can conclude that the input method using numeric keypads should be compatible with generic number counting(to input ch 7, it would be better to input 7 directly than to input 07 or 007) and should switch the channel as quickly as possible. This conclusion can be applied to the design of user interfaces which require numeral inputs.

  • This paper propose that is algorithm of power dissipation reduction in the high level synthesis design for DSP(Digital Signal Processor), as the portable terminal system recently demand high power dissipation. This paper obtain effect of power dissipation reduction and switching activity that increase correlation of operands as input data of function unit. The algorithm search loop or repeatedly data to the input operands of function unit. That can be reduce the power dissipation using the new low power high level synthesis algorithm. In this Paper, scheduling operation search same nodes from input DFG(Data Flow Graph) with correlation coefficient of first input node and among nodes. Function units consist a multiplier, an adder and a register. The power estimation method is added switching activity for each bits of nodes. The power estimation have good efficient using proposed algorithm. This paper result obtain more Power reduction of fifty percents after using a new low power algorithm in a function unit as multiplier.
