  • For processing signature file in parallel, an effective signature file declustering method is needed. The Linear Code Decomposition Method(LCDM) used for the Hamming Filter may give a good performance in some cases, but due to its static property, it fails to evenly decluster signature file when signature are skewed. In addition, it has other problems such as limited scalability and non-determinism. In this paper we propose a new signature file declustering method, called Inner-product method, which overcomes those problems in the LCDM. The Inner-product method declusters signature file dynamically based on the signature difference which is computed by using signature inner product. we show through the simulation experiment that the Inner-product outperforms the LCDM under various data workloads.

  • This paper reviews how geographers have embraced the information and communication technology and expanded their perspectives from real space to virtual space. Information and communication geography research on the wired internet infrastructure began in the late 1990s, but the tradition has not been succeeded for the wireless internet technology. While the relationship-expansion, reproduction, and constraint-between real and virtual spaces have been studied by virtual geography scholars, we need more empirical research to reveal to what extent the two spaces impact to each other. To empirically investigate the physicality of the virtual, it will be useful to combine information and communication geography and virtual geography. However, it should be noted that empirical studies in the subfields can be criticized as being data- or technological deterministic.

  • Various communication mechanisms have been developed to acquire a meaningful data from sensors. The key requirement during the sensor data acquisition is determinism and reduction of time dependency. It is a fundermental level of satellite data management for controlling satellite operation software data acquisition from sensors or subsystem. Satellite operation software has various software modules to be operated in addition to data acquisition. Therefore, unnecessary time delay shall be minimized to perform the data acquisition. As the result, interrupt method might be prefered than polling method because the former can decrease the restriction of design during implementation of data acquisition logic. The possible problems while using interrupt method like as interrupt latency caused by delaying of interrupt processing time are analyzed. In this paper, communication mechanism which can be used to interface with satellite computer and subsidary subsystem by using interrupt is presented. As well, time dependency between software scheduling and data acquisition is analyzed.

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm the determination of the career attitude of multicultural youth, which will be the growth engine of Korean society in the future, and to determine the effect of parental support for multicultural youth on career attitude determination. Multicultural adolescents experience more difficulties in parental support and career attitude determination than ordinary adolescents due to confusion over biculturalism exposed at birth. Therefore, this study confirmed the effect of parental support of multicultural adolescents on career attitude determination and verified the effect of bicultural acceptance attitude. To this end, data from the 8th year of the Multicultural Youth Panel (MAPS) conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute were used, and a total of 1,229 multicultural teenagers in the 2nd year of high school participated in the study. For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, path model suitability verification, path model coefficient, and mediating effect verification were conducted. Based on the results of these studies, it was intended to provide basic data for developing an integrated program that improves parental support and career attitude determination of multicultural adolescents.

  • The history of statistics from the mid-seventeenth to the early twentieth century is considered and a scheme of periodization is proposed. In the first period(1650-1750), named 'the age of probability' in this paper, concept of probability emerged, and in the second period(1750-1820), named 'the age of error theory', statistical techniques such as the least square method are developed by astronomers and geodesists. Their techniques are supported theoretically by mathematicians like Laplace and Gauss in that period. The third period(1820-1880) is called 'the age of statistics(as a plural noun)' since statistical data played prominent roles in social sciences such as sociology, psychology. Finally the last period(1880- ), called 'the age of statistics(as a singular noun)', the discipline of statistics came to maturity both in theory and application.

  • Distributed control architecture is based on sharing control and data between multiple nodes on a network Communication and task sharing can be distributed between multiple control computers. Although many communication protocols exist, such as TCP/IP and UDP, they do not have the determinism that realtime control demands. Fiber-optic reflective shared memory creates the opportunity for realtime distributed control. This architecture allows control and computational tasks to be divided between multiple systems and operate in a deterministic realtime environment. One such shared memory architecture is based on Curtiss-Wright ScramNET family of fiber-optic reflective memory. MTS has built seismic and structural control software and hardware capable of utilizing ScramNET shared memory, opening up infinite possibilities in research and new capabilities in Hybrid and Model-In-The-Loop control.

  • The fourth industrial revolution, which is all the rage in recent years in South Korea, comes from Klaus Schwab's book. Schwab claims that recent rapid technological innovation has inevitably determined the future of our society, and regulations on related policies need to be relaxed. The debate on the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the Korean society is also centered on deregulation policies. In particular, it is strongly argued that personal data protection regulation should be relaxed in a big data environments. The Science and technology studies has long criticized technological determinism. The future of technology can be changed by the will of regulatory authorities and the intervention of civil society. In this article, the author examines various discussions at home and abroad around the deregulation of data protection, including de-identification of personal data. Through this, the author criticizes the way of accepting the fourth industrial revolution theory, and draw its implications for the Korean society.

  • Purpose - This study focuses on the use of evaluative criteria software for imprecise market information, and product mapping relationships between design parameters and customer requirements. Research design, data, and methodology - This study involved using the product predicted value method, synthesizing design alternatives through a morphological analysis and plan, realizing the synthesis in multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), and using its searching software capacity to obtain optimal solutions. Results - The establishment of product designs conforms to the customer demand, and promotes the optimization of several designs. In this study, the construction level analytic method and the simple multi attribute comment, or the quantity analytic method are used. Conclusions - This study provides a solution for enterprise products' multi-goals decision-making, because the product design lacks determinism, complexity, risk, conflict, and so on. In addition, the changeable factor renders the entire decision-making process more difficult. It uses Fuzzy deduction and the correlation technology for appraising the feasible method and multi-goals decision-making, to solve situations of the products' multi-goals and limited resources, and assigns resources for the best product design.
