In this paper, we propose a novel motion recognition platform using smart-phone tracking and color communication. The interface requires only a camera and a personal smart-phone to provide a motion control interface rather than expensive equipment. The platform recognizes the user's gestures by the tracking 3D distance and the rotation angle of the smart-phone, which acts essentially as a motion controller in the user's hand. Also, a color coded communication method using RGB color combinations is included within the interface. Users can conveniently send or receive any text data through this function, and the data can be transferred continuously even while the user is performing gestures. We present the result that implementation of viable contents based on the proposed motion recognition platform.

This research aims to examine the influence of road transportation infrastructure on the mobility of goods transport and the regional economy in Langkat Regency in Indonesia. This type of research is an associative and explanatory research whose data is obtained through a questionnaire survey. This study took a sample of 305 respondents using probability sampling in Langkat Regency, North Sumatera, Indonesia. Data analysis techniques use path analysis. The research results showed that the road transportation infrastructure variables had a significant and positive effect on the mobility of goods transport. Road transportation infrastructure and freight mobility simultaneously have a significant and positive effect on the economy of Langkat Regency. Road transportation infrastructure with the dimensions of road accessibility and maintenance partially directly has a significant and positive effect on the economy of the Langkat Regency. Road transportation infrastructure with the dimensions of road design and road construction quality partially does not have a direct effect on the regional economy, but has a positive and significant effect through the mobility of freight transport. The mobility of goods transport becomes an intervening variable that acts to mediate or determine the relationship between road transportation infrastructure variables to the regional economy.
According to the "FDI-as-market-discipline" hypothesis, inward FDI acts as a mechanism of change in market structure affecting innovative activities of domestic firms. We used panel KIS data for testing this hypothesis. Binary probit estimation shows that, in contrast to the German case of Bertschek (1995), FDI is insignificant in Korean case for explaining product innovation. 1his result maybe comes from the fact that the industries in Korea are more monopolistic or oligopolistic than those of Germany. Using panel data, we tried random parameter estimation using matrix weighted average of GLS and OLS. The result shows different estimates from cross-section outcome and panel estimation with parameter homogeneity, so we can infer large parameter heterogeneity across firms. But, interpretation for FDI variable is similar across panel and cross-section estimation.
Recently the VR technique has evolved into a mixed reality (MR) technique, in which a user can observe a real world in front of him/her as well as virtual objects displayed. This has been realized by the employment of a see-through type HMD (S-HMD). We have been developing a mixed reality space employing the MR technique. The objective of our study is to realize a virtual human that acts as a man-machine interface in the real space. It is important in the study to create a virtual human acting naturally in front of a user. In order to give natural motions to the virtual human, we employ a developed motion capture technique. We have already created various 3-D human motion models by the motion capture technique. In this paper, we present a technique for creating a virtual human using a human model provided by a computer graphics software, 3D Studio Max(C). The main difficulty of this issue is that 3D Studio Max(C) claims 28 feature points for describing a human motion, but the used motion capture system assumes less number of feature points. Therefore a technique is proposed in the paper for producing motion data of 28 feature points from the motion data of less number of feature points or from incomplete motion data. Performance of the proposed technique was examined by observing visually the demonstration of some motions of a created virtual human and overall natural motions were realized.
The purpose of this study was to investigate relations among the non-verbal communication, coach trust, and continuous participating intention of scuba diving participants. For this purpose, the investigator applied convenience sampling to users at three scuba diving resorts in Gangwon Province and those at two scuba diving pools in Gyeonggi Province and selected total 267 valid questionnaires. Collected data was put to simple and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS 18.0 program. The findings were as follows: first, body language and paralanguage of non-verbal communication had significant effects on coach trust, but spatial acts and physical appearance had no such effects on it; secondly, coach trust had significant impacts on continuous participating intention; and finally, body language of non-verbal communication had significant influences on continuous participating intention, but spatial acts, paralanguage, and physical appearance had no significant influences on it.

In this paper, a parallel pipelined processor model which acts as a small VLIW processor architecture and a scheduling algorithm for extracting instruction-level parallelism on this architecture are proposed. The proposed model has a dual-instruction mode which has maximum 4 basic operations being executed in parallel. By combining these basic operations, variable instruction set can be designed for various applications. The scheduling algorithm schedules basic operations for parallel execution and removes pipeline hazards by examining data dependency and resource conflict relations. In order to examine operation and evaluate the performance,a C compiler and a simulator are developed. By simulating various test programs with the compiler and the simulator, the characteristics and the performance result of the proposed architecture are measured.
The purpose of the study were two fokls: to investigate causes of wife abuse through both husbands and wives as the research subject and through ecological perspective as a theoretical framework. Data were collected using self-reporting questionnaires distributed to 400 couples in Seoul and Taegu. 280 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. The major findings of the study were summarized in the following. First, the percentage of samples who reported one or more instances of acts in each scale was 84.3%(236 couples). They reported having been a vicitm of abuse by their partners at least one instance in the preceding 12 months. Secondly, the hierarchical and stepwise regression yielded the result that wife abuse behavior by husbands was influenced by husband's microsytem(e.g.job stress, marital satisfaction, education level and occupation) and organism variables(e.g. husband's perceptions about the violence level of mass media, childhood observation of parental violence, childhood experience of the battering). These variables accounted for 38% of variance of wife abuse behavior among Korean husbands.
This study focuses on student engagement in Chinese middle school mathematics classrooms. By the recording and quantitative analysis on video case, this study explored the main acts and time of student engagement. The data showed that among the student engagements: (1) Students' responses to teacher's question occurred most frequently; (2) Collective responses were much more than the individual responses; (3) Students' responses and classroom practice spent the longest time; (4) The most frequent student engagements occurred in the aspects of classroom practice; and (5) Students rarely asked a question to teachers. The study also suggested that teacher's effective guidance could improve the level of student engagement and the content of classroom practice is very important to the quality of student engagement.

This study investigates the relationship between fear of failure of potential entrepreneur's psychological characteristics and entrepreneurial intentions using the mediation variables of planned behavior model. There are many existing prior research related to the entrepreneurial intentions, but they were mostly focused only entrepreneurial success factors. So in this study we focused on fear of failure of potential entrepreneur. To know the influence of the fear of failure related to entrepreneurial intention, we using the scale of PFAI (Performances Failure Appraisal Inventory). The purpose of this study is to examine an impact of fear of failure on entrepreneurial intention and add to mediating factors - attitude toward the acts, subjective norm, perceived behavior control - on the relationship between fear of failure and entrepreneurial intention. Also we examined entrepreneurial education as moderating effect in order to offset the fear of failure. In order to test research model, we collected data from 321 undergraduate students. To test the research questions and hypotheses, we employed SPSS 21.0 anf AMOS 18.0 for validity, reliability, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural model analysis. The results were as follows. First, the fear of failure negatively related to attitude toward the behavior and subjective norm. Second, attitude toward the behavior and subjective norm positively related to entrepreneurial intention in consistent with previous studies. Third, attitude toward the acts and subjective norm in TPB variables have full-mediation effects between fear of failure and intrepreneurial intention. Fourth, The moderating effects of entrepreneurial effect was not significant. The negative relationship between fear of failure and attitude toward the acts and subjective norm was even slightly stronger who have taken the entrepreneurial class group. We discuss the theoretical and managerial implications, and provide suggestions for future research.
The effect of an aluminum scrap addition ratio on the tensile and solidification cracking properties of the AC4A aluminum alloy in the as-cast state and heat-treated state were investigated in this study. Generally, the expected problem of using scrap in aluminum casting is an increase of hydrogen and Fe element inside the aluminum melt. Another issue is an oxide film which has a weak interface with the molten aluminum and acts as potent nucleation sites for internal porosity and crack initiation. Solidification cracking is one of the critical defects that must be resolved to produce high quality castings. A conventional evaluation method for solidification cracking is a relative and qualitative analysis method which does not provide quantitative data on the thermal stress in the solidification process. Therefore, a newly designed solidification cracking test apparatus was used in this study, and the device can provide quantitative data. As a result, after conducting experiments with different scrap addition ratios (0%, 20%, 35%, 50%), the tensile strengths and elongations in the as-cast state were 214, 187.7, 182.1 and 170.4MPa and 4.6%, 3.4%, 3.1% and 2.3%, respectively. In the case of the T6 heat-treated state, the tensile strengths and elongations were 314.9, 294.6, 293.1 and 271.1MPa and 5.4%, 4.6%, 3.8% and 3.1%, respectively. The strength of the solidification cracking was 3.1, 2.4, 2.2and 1.6MPa as the scrap addition ratio increases.
