Classification of Disaster Safety Data Management System based on Daily Situation Report (일일상황보고를 중심으로 재난안전 데이터 관리 체계의 유형화)

  • This study investigated a total of 22 types (15 types of natural disasters and seven types of social disasters) of disaster and safety data based on the National Daily Situation Report, Disaster Yearbook and annual Disaster Annals issued by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security. Disaster safety data were collected from the daily situation report of MOIS (Ministry of the Interior and Safety). The number of total data cases were 1,760, of which 656 were natural disasters and 1,104 were social disasters. The disasters were then patternized according to their characteristics. The patterning was conducted to set up the disaster and safety data system designed to keep disaster situations under prompt and effective management. The study analyzed the data associated with the activities in the response and recovery stages according to the disaster type. Furthermore, based on the management activities performed with the flow of time following a disaster, this study classified and proposed disaster and safety data patterns to achieve effective disaster management work by analyzing the characteristics of a disaster and safety data and disaster and safety management procedures. Disasters of high similarity were classified by merging and deleting them. This was done to consider the scalability and mutual linkage so that it can be used in the establishment of national statistical data, such as the disaster annual report and disaster annuity.

Implementation of a Weather Hazard Warning System at a Catchment Scale (시스템 구성요소 통합 및 현업서비스 구축)

  • This study is a part of "Early Warning Service for Weather Risk Management in Climate-smart Agriculture", describes the delivery techniques from 840 catchment scale weather warning information using 150 counties unit special weather report(alarm, warning) released from KMA(Korea Meteorological Administration) and chronic weather warning information based on daily weather data from 76 synoptic stations. Catchment weather hazard warning service express a sequential risk index map generated by countries report occurs and report grade(alarm, warning) convert to catchment scale using zonal summarizing method. Additional services were chronic weather warning service at crop growth and accumulated more than 4 weeks, based on an unsuitable weather conditions, representing a relative risk compared to its catchment climatological normal conditions (normal distribution ) in addition to special weather report. Service provided by a real-time catchment scale map overlaid with VWORLD open platform operated by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Also provide a foundation for weather risk information to inform individual farmers to farm located within the catchment zone warning occur.

Development of a Computer-assisted Cost Accounting System Prototype for Hospital Dietetics (병원 영양과의 재무관리 시스템 전산화 모델에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of the study were to assist foodservice managers in complex decision making by utilizing computerized cost accounting system and to relieve managers from repetitive and routine tasks so that more adequate patient care and consultation can be provided. The scope of the computer-assisted cost accounting system consists of budget, menu planning, purchasing, inventory, cost control and financial reporting. The content of the computerized system are summarized as follows ; 1) For budgeting monthly income was estimated by calculating unit cost of each meal and forecasting serving numbers. The actual serving numbers for patients and employees were totaled everyday, and utilized as the basic data base for estimating income and planning menu. The monthly lists of meal sensus were generated. 2) for menu planning concersion factors were computed based on the standarized recipe for 50 servings. Daily menus for patients and employees which include total amounts of each ingredient and cost analyzed information were generated. 3) Daily and monthly purchasing report for each food item classified by patient and employee meals were generated. 4) Inventory transactions such as recipts and issues were totalized daily for each stocked item, and monthly inventory reports were generated. 5) Cost analysis reports for each menu item were generated into two ways based on the budget coat as well as the purchasing cost. 6) Editing new recipes and updating food costs change to the data base were carried out. 7) Financial reports were generated monthly, first-half and second-half of the year, and yearly basis.

  • The main purpose of this study is to establish standard times of several manufacturing processes in a small-sized manufacturing company located in Taegu. This company produces two types of products; single parts and part assemblies of bicycles. Due to lack of the standards on daily or hourly production volumes, the production manager could not assign workers daily production volume at the start of production, and could not exercise tight supervision. The standard times established in this study were much less than the average production times found in the daily production report. Based on these standard times, we calculated the number of machines that a worker can operate properly without bringing overload on him, and established a line balanced production system in each manufacturing process to minimize work-in-process inventory.

  • Objective: To describe the effects of Korean medical treatment on a 51-year-old male patient with polyneuropathy and chief complaints of lower limb paralysis and dysarthria. Methods: The Toronto Clinical Neuropathy Scoring System (TCNSS) was used to evaluate the function of the lower limb and the symptoms of the patient were observed daily. We applied herbal medication and acupuncture daily, depending on the patient’s symptoms. Results: After the treatment, the TCNSS score was improved. Conclusions: In this case, Korean medical therapy was effective in improving lower limb function.

  • Recent construction projects, characterized by its complication and high-tech, requites highly efficient management efforts. Among others, labor management is very important due to various trades and increasing number of activities. Along with advanced information technology, Web-based construction site management systems are widely adopted in order to improve the efficiency of construction management. However, such information systems have mainly 2 (two) shortcomings. One is that the existing systems were developed and implemented not in subcontractor-centered way but in main contractor-centered way, though the daily construction information is mainly generated, gathered and reported by subcontractors. As a result, subcontractors seldom have access to such information systems. The other is that loss or omission of information may uclw during the information processing process, in which subcontractors have no direct access to such information system. This becomes a major reason of losing the reliability of the information in daily construction report. As a solution for these problems, this paper suggests a Web-based information system that is subcontractor-oriented and also suitable for tact schedule management.

  • It is desirable that implementation assessment (IA) should be carried out efficiently in order to make successful progress of Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) in watershed management. There are many difficulties in the process of the implementation assessment because of the early stage in the application of TMDL in Korea. This study reviewed the present status of IA and proposed the methodology of its improvement such as flexible application of TMDL ledger, and standardization of assessment index and criteria. The deficient time for assessment period could be corrected by the consideration of the post-procedure after the submission of IA report.

  • In this paper, ageing diagnostics in the large capacity oil transformer are investigated. Following items are investigated for the ageing diagnostic in transformer oils (leakage current of sensor, power consumption and temperature of transformer oil). All temperature data are gathered from daily report in the substation. The power consumption of transformer are gathered output report of APIS(Airport Power Information System). Especially, data of sensor leakage current are accumulated from the online diagnostic system for transformer oil. The temperature of transformer oils major change factor was ambient temperature and capacity of power load. The leakage current are change by oil temperature.   • Objective: This study aimed to report the effect of Oryeong-san on Menière's disease. Methods : A 48-year-old female complained of Menière's disease and daily frequent headache. Based on the Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system, the patient was treated with Oryeong-san. The result was evaluated by the Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI) and a numerical rating score. Results : After administration of Oryeong-san for 46 days, the DHI score decreased from 42 to 4. The average number of dizzy spells decreased from 6 to 0. Conclusions : Some cases of Menière's disease can be treated by Oryeong-san.

Design and Implementation of Web Based Intranet Management Report Publisher (웹 기반의 인트라넷 관리 보고서 작성기능 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we design and implement web based Intranet Management Report Publisher (IMRP) that generates automatically daily, weekly, monthly and yearly report for configuration, performance and fault management of the Intranet. Intranet managers can analyze status of the Intranet with IMRP easier The IMRP publishes the Intranet management reports based on TINA (Telecommunication Information Networking Architecture) using CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture). The advantages of this architecture are to protect the Intranet management system by being connected to the User Agent program and to raise the efficiency of maintenance by modifying only the User Agent program as accessing part of the Intranet management system is needed to change.
