Effects of herbal-aupuncture solution from vitis labrusca root on LPO, RNS and cytochrome P450 (포도근 약침액이 LPO, RNS 및 Cytochrome P450에 미치는 효과)

  • Objectives : In this study, we determinated protective effects of Vitis labrusca Root herbal-acupuncture solution (VLHA) against atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease induced by oxidative damage and cytochrome P450 (CYP) induction. Methods : Antioxidant capacity of VLHA were evaluated by the ${\beta}-carotene/linoleic$ acid emulsion system and FeCl2-ascorbic acid stimulted lipid peroxidation in rat liver homogenate, respectively. Scavenging effects of VLHA on ONOO- and NO were measured by DHR 123, DAF-2 assay. Furthermore, we measured inhibitory activity of VLHA on CYP 2E1 in rat liver microsome using by Aniline assay. Results : VLHA exhibited potent inhibition rate(74%) on FeCl2-ascorbic acid induced lipid peroxidation, and revealed a strong scavenging effects on ONOO- and NO. In addition, VLHA showed inhibitory effect on CYP 2E1. Conclusions : The present study concludes that our results suggest that VLHA could be used as a good source in the prevention of atherosclerosis and alcoholic liver injury.

Effects of Ichungwhan on the Aging Process (이정환(二精丸)이 노화과정에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: It is well known that aging and aging-related diseases are linked to the increased level of oxidative stress caused by reactive oxygen species(ROS) and reactive nitrogen species(RNS). Nonprotein-SH decreases during aging, while substances such as ROS, nitric oxide(NO), peroxynitrite($ONOO^-$), myeloperoxidase(MPO), and dityrosine show a significant increase. This study investigated the effect of Ichungwhan on the aging process by examining its effect on the generation of the above-mentioned substances. Methods: Four comparison groups of SD rats were used. They were 6 month-old rats, 24 month-old rats, and 24 month-old rats fed with food containing 0.1% and 0.3% of Ichungwhan extract. The amount of NO, $ONOO^-$, and ROS in the rats' kidneys were examined using a fluorescence microplate reader. The reagents used for this purpose include: dihydrorhodamine 123 (DHR 123), 2',7' -dichlorodihydrofluorescein, diacetate(DCFDA), and 4,5-diaminofluorescein(DAF-2). A spectrophotometer was used to investigate the reactivity of nonprotein-SH and myeioperoxidase(MPO), using reagents such as trichloroacetic acid(TCA) and tetramethylbenzidine(TMB). The amounts of MPO protein and dityrosine were measued by western blot. Results: The observed effects of Ichungwhan on rats were as follows: increase of nonprotein-SH; effective decrease of RNS level by suppression of the generation system of $ONOO^-$ and NO; decrease of ROS level; decrease of the MPO reactivity and the subsequent reduction of amount of MPO protein; retardation of dityrosine formation. It can be hypothesized, therefore, that Ichungwhan affects both the earlier and later phases of the molecular inflammatory process, and retards the aging process. Conclusions: Empirical evidence in this study supports a role for Ichungwhan in generation mechanisms of aging process-linked substances ROS, NO, $ONOO^-$, nonprotein-SH, MPO and dityrosine. Affects contrary to the aging process observed in rats beg further empiricism to investigate potential application of Ichungwhan as a medication for age-related diseases in humans.

The fucose containing polymer (FCP) rich fraction of Ascophyllum nodosum (L.) Le Jol. protects Caenorhabditis elegans against Pseudomonas aeruginosa by triggering innate immune signaling pathways and suppression of pathogen virulence factors

  • Brown algal extracts have long been used as feed supplements to promote health of farm animals. Here, we show new molecular insights in to the mechanism of action of a fucose containing polymer (FCP) rich fraction from the brown seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum using the Caenorhabditis elegans-Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA14 infection model. FCP enhanced survival of C. elegans against pathogen stress, correlated with up-regulation of key immune response genes such as: lipases, lysozyme (lys-1), saponin-like protein (spp-1), thaumatin-like protein (tlp-1), matridin SK domain protein (msk-1), antibacterial protein (abf-1), and lectin family protein (lfp). Further, FCP caused down regulation of P. aeruginosa quorum sensing genes: (lasI, lasR, rhlI, and rhlR), secreted virulence factors (lipase, proteases, and elastases) and toxic metabolites (pyocyanin, hydrogen cyanide, and siderophore). Biofilm formation and motility of pathogenic bacteria were also greatly attenuated when the culture media were treated with FCP. Interestingly, FCP failed to mitigate the pathogen stress in skn-1, daf-2, and pmk-1 mutants of C. elegans. This indicated that, FCP treatment acted on the regulation of fundamental innate immune pathways, which are conserved across the majority of organisms including humans. This study suggests the possible use of FCP, a seaweed component, as a functional food source for healthy living.

  • In this article, the author have studied on main revisions and some recommendations of the Incoterms(R) 2010. Main revisions are as belows. 1. Two new Incoterms rules -DAT and DAP- have replaced the Incoterms 2000 rules DAF, DES, DEQ and DDU. 2. New classification of the Incoterms(R) 2010 are adopted. First class is Rules for any mode or modes of transport(EXW, FCA, CPT, CIP, DAT, DAP and DDP belong to this class.) and second class is rules for sea and inland waterway transport(FAS, FOB, CFR and CIF belong to this class.). 3. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules formally recognizes that they are available for application to both international and domestic sale contracts. 4. The Guidance Notes and Introduction are not part of the actual Incoterms(R) 2010 rules. 5. Under the FOB, CFR and CIF, all mention of the ship's rail as the point of delivery has been omitted in preference for the goods being delivered when they are "on board" the vessel. 6. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules include the obligation to 'procure goods shipped' as an alternative to the obligation to ship goods in the relevant Incoterms rules. 7. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules give electronic means of communication the same effect as paper communication. 8. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules have allocated obligations between the buyer and seller to obtain or to render assistance in obtaining security-related clearances. such as chain-of custody information. Some recommendations are as belows. 1. The parties must incorporate the Incoterms(R) 2010 rules into their contract of sale. 2. The parties must choose the appropriate Incoterms(R) 2010 rules. 3. Specify the place or port as precisely as possible in their contract of sale. 4. Remember that Incoterms(R) 2010 rules do not give the parties a complete contract of sale. 5. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules do not prohibit alteration of Incoterms rule, but there are dangers in so doings. In order to avoid any unwelcome surprises, the parties would need to make the intended effect of such alterations extremely clear in their contract.

Warpage Characteristics Analysis for Top Packages of Thin Package-on-Packages with Progress of Their Process Steps (공정 단계에 따른 박형 Package-on-Package 상부 패키지의 Warpage 특성 분석)

  • Warpage of top packages to form thin package-on-packages was measured with progress of their process steps such as PCB substrate itself, chip bonding, and epoxy molding. The $100{\mu}m$-thick PCB substrate exhibited a warpage of $136{\sim}214{\mu}m$. The specimen formed by mounting a $40{\mu}m$-thick Si chip to such a PCB using a die attach film exhibited the warpage of $89{\sim}194{\mu}m$, which was similar to that of the PCB itself. On the other hand, the specimen fabricated by flip chip bonding of a $40{\mu}m$-thick chip to such a PCB possessed the warpage of $-199{\sim}691{\mu}m$, which was significantly different from the warpage of the PCB. After epoxy molding, the specimens processed by die attach bonding and flip chip bonding exhibited warpages of $-79{\sim}202{\mu}m$ and $-117{\sim}159{\mu}m$, respectively.

Scavenging Activities of Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species by Junglans sinensis (호도(胡桃)의 활성산소 및 활성질소 제거 기전)

  • Reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) are widely implicated in the aging process and age-related diseases. The present study was carried out to investigate scavenging activities of Junglans sinensis extract and its subfraction using fluorescent probes, DCF-DA, DAF-2 and DHR 123. Jungians sinensis was washed and crushed. The crushed Junglans sinensis was extracted 3times, each time with 3 volumes of methyl alcohol at $60^{\circ}C$ for 24 h. The extract was filtered and evaporated under a reduced pressure using a rotary evaporator to yield 16 g. Scavenging activities of $ONOO^-$ was measured by Kooy' method and ROS was measured by DCFDA assay. Junglans sinensis had the marked scavenging activites of $ONOO^-$, NO and $O_2^-$. Junglans sinensis scavenged $ONOO^-$ through electron donation and dose-dependently inhibited the nitration of bovine serum albumin by $ONOO^-$. Junglans sinensis also had ROS scavenging activity. Especially, ethylacetate fraction of Junglans sinensis showed the most effective scavenging activities for ROS and RNS. These results suggest that Junglans sinensis might be developed as an effective ROS and RNS scavenger Therefore, Junglans sinensis might be used as a preventive agent for the aging and relevant to aging of illness.

  • Das Ziel dieses Aufsatzes ist es, dass wir aile seit Lakoff(1965) als inchoative Verben angenommenen Konstruktionen aus Adjektiv + werden bzw. die dazu synonymen Verben nicht mehr unter eine Kategorie 'Inchoativ' subsumieren, und diese Konstruktionen mutatives(werden + dick), ingressives(werden + krank) und duratives Verb(werden + dicker) untergliedern, und $schlie{\ss}lich$ auf Grund dieser Analyse Vendlers 4 Situationstypen Zustand, Prozess, Accomplishmen und Achievement noch deutlicher spezifizieren. Mutative Verben sind rechtsbegrenzte Prozessverben, ingressive Verben linksbegrenzte Zustandsverben, und durative Verben nichtbegrenzte Prozessverben. In mutativen und durativen Verben wird der Vorgang als Kontinuum aufgefasst, und in ingressiven Verben wird der Vorgang als diskontinuierliche Aufeinanderfolge zweler $Zust\"{a}nde.\;\"{U}brigens$ haben mutative Verben obligatolisch Prozesscharakter und der Prozess bewirkt $Zustandsver\"{a}nderung$. Ingressive Verben haben nicht $prim\"{a}r$ Prozesscharakter, und $m\"{o}glicher$ Prozess $verl\"{a}uft$ innerhalb emes Zustandes. Es gibt also $gen\"{u}gend$ Motivation $daf\"{u}r$, werden bei allen drei Klassen in einheitlicher Weise zu beschreiben. Nach $g\"{a}ngiger$ Auffassung ist die Semantische Form(SF) von werden vom semantisch unmarkierten sein durch das telische $Pt\"{a}dikat\;_{BECOME}$ unterschieden. In diesem Aufsatz $ersetzt_{CHANGE}\;das\;Pradikat\;_{BECOME;}$ die Bedeutung von $von\;_{BECOME}$ ist eine der $m\"{o}glichen kontextabh\"{a}ngigen$ semantischen Anreicherungen $von\;_{CHANGE.\;CHANGE}$ ist unterbestimmt $bez\"{u}glich\;Telizit\"{a}t$ und Prozesshaftigkeit. $_{CHANGE}[P(X)]$ ist die Basis­bedeutungskomponente von werden in allen adjektivischen werden­Konstruktionen. Mit Hilfe von $Pr\"{a}dikaten\;_{CHANGE,\;TARG},\;und\;_{ATOM}$ bekommen wir die Beschreibung von $Markiertheitsverh\"{a}Itnissen$ zwischen den Situations­typen, die mit nur zwei semantischen Klassifizierungskomponenten(${\pm}Prozess,\;{\pm}Become$) nicht darzustellen sind. Veranderungssituationen sind $Nicht-Zust\"{a}nde$, markiert durch das $Pt\"{a}dikat\;_{CHANGE}.\;Ver\"{a}nderungs­situationen$ mit einem Ziel(TARG) sind Ereignisse. Eine Veranderung ohne Begrenzung ist ein Prozess. Achievements sind $atomare(_{ATOM})\;Ereignisse(_{TARG})$. Accomplishments sind durch TARG hinreichend charakterisiert, d.h. eine $zielbezogene(_{TARG})$ Veranderung, die nicht als $atomar(_{-ATOM})$ gekennzeichnet ist, ist ein Accomplishment.

A Study on the Ozoflotation Process for Drinking Water Treatment (Ozoflotation 공정의 정수처리 적용에 관한 연구)

  • Ozone, a powerful oxidant, is widely used to remove microorganisms, pesticides, taste and odor compounds effectively. Dissolved air flotation (OAF) has been known as an economical process for treating algae and low turbid water quality. An ozoflotation system, combining ozone and OAF processes, has a merit which can operate the ozonation and flotation process simultaneously in a single compartment. This study investigated the application of the ozoflotation process for advanced water treatment by carrying out the pilot-plant experiment. During the test, ozone microbubbles were generated through a OAF pump and many kinds of parameters were evaluated under several conditions, such as raw water flow rate and ozone dose. As a result of the test, the optimum operating conditions of ozoflotation were decided to be 1.2 mg/L ozone dose and about 34 minute Hydraulic retention time (HRT). Finally, it could be demonstrated that the ozoflotation system can effectively improve the drinking water quality.

Das zweidimensionale Valenzmodell (이원적 발렌츠 모델)

  • Die vorliegende Arbeit behandelt ein zweidimensionales Valenzmodell. In diesem Modell wurde der Versuch unternommen, durch Beruck­sichtigung $valenzunabh\"{a}ngiger$ Faktoren die bisherige eindimensionale Valenzkonzeption zu $\"{u}berwinden\;und\;f\"{u}r\;Problemf\"{a}lle$ der Valenz­forschung angemessenere $Erkl\"{a}rungen$ zu bieten. Dabei wurde mit Agel (1994) davon ausgegangen, $da\ss$ man zwischen Valenzpotenz und Valenzrealisierung unterscheiden sollte. Zwischen den beiden Ebenen besteht keine Isomorphie. Auf der Ebene der Valenz­potenz spreche ich von valenzgebundenen und valenzfreien Gliedern, auf der Ebene der Valenzrealisierung dagegen von notwendigen und optional en Gliedern. Somit ergeben sich insgesamt vier $M\"{o}glichkeiten:$ 1. valenzgebunden und notwendig; 2. valenzgebunden und optional; 3. valenzfrei und notwendig; 4. valenzfrei und optional. Viele $Problemf\"{a}lle$ der bisherigen Valenzforschung $geh\"{o}ren$ zu dem zweiten und dem dritten Typ. Erst die Annahme des zweidimensionalen Valenzmodells bietet $daf\"{u}r\;systematische\;Erkl\"{a}rungen$. Anhand verschiedener Beispiele wurde gezeigt, $da\ss$ syntaktische, semantische, pragmatische und konzeptuelle Faktoren die Valenzrealisierung beeinflussen. Valenzrealisierung ist somit nicht als $blo{\ss}e$ Wiedergabe der im Lexikon immanenten Valenzpotenz anzusehen. $Schlie{\ss}lich$ wurde am Beispiel yon gehen das $Verh\"{a}ltnis$ zwischen Valenzpotenz, konzeptuellen Prozessen und Valenzrealisierung dargestellt: Die Realisierung der eigentlich valenzgebundenen lokalen Adverbial­bestimmung $h\"{a}ngt$ eng mit den konzeptuellen Prozessen ($Lokalisierungs-proze{\ss}\;vs.\;Delokalisierungsproze{\ss}$) zusammen. Falls $Lokalisierungs-proze{\ss}$ stattfindet, ist die Realisietung der lokalen Adverbialbestimmung notwendig, um die Direktionalisierung des Verweisobjekts im Hinblick auf das Bezugsobjekt zu bezeichnen. Bei $Delokalisierungsproze\ss$ ist die Realisierung der lokalen Adverbialbestimung dagegen optional.

Zu Ethos und Pathos in Hitlers Reden (히틀러 연설에서의 에토스와 파토스에 관하여)

  • In dieser Albeit wird der Versuch unternommen, die Charakteristik der Rhetorik von Hitler zu analysieren. Im Abschnitt fwei wird die allgemeine Charakteristik der Hillers Reden beschrieben. Die Reden von Hitler sind Elemente eines verzweigten, flexiblen und inhaltlich nor schwer bestimmten Komplexes von Manipulations-und Machttechniken, die trotz seiner Tendenz zur Zentralisierung nur schwer als System zu fassen sind. Dies macht die Schwierigkeit jeder analytischen Erfassung aus. Seine Rede vermag im Bezug auf Logik und Argumentation wenig zu $\"{u}berzeugen$, aber or wirkte. In diesel Analyse wird die Rede von Hitler folgende Systematisierung $m\"{o}glich$: 1) Am Anfang weist Hitler auf die allgemeine Not hin. 2) Danach diffamiert or seine Gesner und provoziert starke Emotionen bei seinen $Zuh\"{o}rern$. 3) Zum $Schlu{\ss}$ $l\"{o}st$ Hitler bei den Deutschen eine starke Kampfbereitschaft aus und entwickelt vor semen $Zuh\"{o}rern$ seine Vision eines $bl\"{u}henden$, starken Deutschlands. 4) $Abschlie{\ss}end$ erkifirt Hitier seine $pers\"{o}nlichen$ ethischen Vorstellungen und seine sich daraus ergebenden Handlungen. Er liegt $gro{\ss}en$Wert darauf, die Ethik seine Handlungen zu $begr\"{u}nden$. Danach wird die Selbstdarstellung von Hitler beschrieben. $F\"{u}nf$ Realisierungsformen sind $daf\"{u}r$ relevant: a) $pers\"{o}nliche$ $Erz\"{a}hlungen$, b) Diffamierungen, c) sittlich wertvolle Ermahnungen, d) Taten und e) Ziele. Im Abschnitt drei wird die Rhetorik von Hitler gemacht. Hier handeit es sich um Ethos und Pathos. Hitler versuchte, die durch die Aktivierung zwischen ihm und Publikum vorhanden, $unbewu{\ss}ten$ psychischen Potentiate, die durch den Akt der Rede aktiviert werden, zu realisieren. Er hat jeder Sammlung nur gesagt, was sie $h\"{o}ren$ wollte, den wahren Sachverhalt nur auf $h\"{o}chst$ vordergryndige Weise.
