  • Sustainability has been a big issue over the whole global industry lately and is an important fashion trend that reflects the modern phase of the time. The concept of sustainable fashion includes physical fashion products made from eco-friendly or recycle materials as well as ethical value such as corporate social responsibility for environment, labor or working condition. Fashion companies of advanced countries who are aware of the geo-environmental and ethical issues found that generating profits by setting trends and pursuing external beauty can no longer be the ultimate goal of fashion companies, and started to recognize the importance of sustainable fashion as a future-oriented trend. Not only fashion industry but also governments of advanced countries have been playing a leading role to educate the people regarding the importance of sustainable fashion and making large investments to foster industry specialists in educational institution. The aim of this study is to propose sustainable fashion design education program that fits the domestic university curriculum and government-leading education program in order to set the foundation for sustainable fashion industry. Thus, this study investigates successful cases of foreign government-led sustainable fashion education that can be introduced to improve domestic sustainable fashion education. The empirical study of the research is developing 12-15 week university level education program to foster specialists in sustainable fashion. The survey carried out by the students who participated in the program shows the change of perception on sustainable fashion. Developed university level program can be spread to municipal corporation, school of continuing education, and etc. in order to derive participation and problem perception of the citizens on sustainability. Developing systemized sustainable fashion design education program would be the first step of sustainable fashion by educating students who will take the leading role in the future fashion industry. Moreover, it can strongly influence future customer education as well as a special education inducing interest on sustainability in everyday life. A follow-up study is expected to serve as a foundation for sustainable fashion to take root successfully in the fashion industry.

  • Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is a systematic approach for identifying potential failures before they occur, with the intent to minimize the risk associated with them. It has been widely used in the various manufacturing industries as a solution to reliability problems. As the importance of the service sector is increasing, however, it has been recently extended to some applications in services. Despite these attempts, FMEA cannot be directly applied to the reliability problems in a service industry. Due to the heterogeneity and customer participation in service process, we cannot perfectly prevent service failures. For this reason, we suggest a new risk priority number with three input parameters that consist of severity, probability of occurrence, and recoverability. In this paper, we propose an approach for assessing service risk and service reliability using the service-oriented risk priority number (S-RPN). An example regarding a hypermarket service process is used to demonstrate the proposed approach.

  • In-Home Display (IHD) is one of the most popular ways to induce voluntary customer participation in energy savings. Various communication technologies are used for recent IHD implementations, but most IHD systems are designed for each house because of their limitations such as communication coverage area and operation complexity. In this study, 400MHz RF communication is used for economical large-scale deployment of IHDs especially for apartment complexes that represent typical residentioal environment in Korea. Since it is essential to use internal batteries to increase the usability of IHD, the frequent changes of them should be avoided. By dividing communication data into 3 types such as common data, long term data, and short term data depending on their update periods, energy efficient communication protocol is designed and proposed. In result, the quantity of data and the battery consumption of IHD are reduced to 23.4% and 31.5% each without harming service quality.

So this condition can be thought as the currency of energy for being subjected. The public of fashion eagerly want the fashion style to be suggested for following it. The late Freudian, Erich Fromm said that the reason why individuals demand themselves to follow the masses' move could be explained as the hope against the fear of feeling not being from staying isolated and having no direction. Escaping from this fear, individuals ought to believe the necessity of participation in public. The fashion is willing to be defined as the united condition by individuals in the hope being consolidate in masses against being solitude. Nowadays, people can share many informations with internet, the fastest medium, which makes the individuals impatient not to be isolate, thinking other people must contact the information and should feel pressure of taking part in the currency. Even though the style is considered to be awkward for following it, it's frequent exposure on mass media by celebrities wearing the style could soon make a fashion. This is able to show that many customers should incline to consider less about their style or taste, whereas lean to pursue after masses' authority. Recent consumers have propensity to avoid feeling concern about others' criticism, on the other side, they try to chase of the fashion as masses' choice for feeling peaceful. The reason why people recognize not to have clothing to wear in spite of a large wardrobe, it must reflect their needs promoted from outside influence of introducing for new styles.
