A Confirmatory Factor Analysis for Quality Competitiveness Excellence Company Evaluation Indicators (품질경쟁력 우수기업 평가지표의 확인적 요인분석)

  • Companies struggle to make their best products with high quality and service at a competitive price in global markets. However, customer needs and requirements keep changing with a variety of situations. Companies that face the changes can not stay the same and make an effort to adapt themselves to new circumstances. They would probably review the overall management system that is currently implementing to improve management efficiency. Among other things, quality might be considered to be a crucial element if they are manufacturing industries to be sustained in global markets. KSA (Korean Standards Association) is a government-affiliated organization under the Ministry of Trade, Infrastructure, and Energy. It is a Korean standards provider for quality and service industry. KSA confers national commendations for organizations, quality circles, artisans, QCEC (Quality Competitive Excellent Company), and the most honorable KNQA (Korean National Quality Award) every year. KSA established KNQA on the basis of Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award, Deming Prize, and European Quality Award. Research on quality awards shows that there are many similarities in the framework. Although KSA summarizes two factors for 13 evaluation indicators in the quality competitive excellent model of QCEC, the categorization is ambiguous to explain them according to earlier studies. We performed a deep analysis of foreign quality awards and background for KNQA and QCEC. We conducted a content analysis of KNQA and QCEC and matched evaluation items that were closely related. We proposed a quality competitiveness model with three factors, Technology, System, and Tools, summarizing 13 evaluation indicators in QCEC. Based on audit data for six years from 2012 to 2017 we carried out a confirmatory factor analysis for the proposed model by examining the model validity and fitness.

  • The purpose of current study was to find differences of selected attributes and visitors of responses according to their lifestyle as perceived by Pocheon Yidong-BBQ-Galbi Festival participants. Survey method was employed and total 370 data was used for statistical analysis. The results of factor analysis showed that three factors were extracted from lifestyle(Activity, Example, Commonness), and four factors were found from festival selection attribute(Food, Service, Program, Cleanliness). In addition, three clusters(Outgoing personality, Gentle character, Normal character) were extracted from the result of cluster analysis. The result of chi-square shows that selection attributes are significantly different by clusters of festival. Therefore the festival host need to focus on various kinds of BBQ along with diverse foods and activities to make attractive cultual experience festival for visitors who visited with family. Additionally, all selection attributes except clearness have significantly influence on responsive relationship. Thus, the organizer should make an effort to provide high quality of various selection attributes. Current study will be contribute to develop various and fascinating local festival expecially related to food.

  • Technological and organisational changes in transport system have introduced new dimension into port system development and inter-port competition. The quality of service now required by the customer is costly and not easily provided by small shipping companies and small ports. It has been suggested that in the future container shipping may be concentrated by space-sharing arrangements or actual mergers into the hands of a few mega-operators with the investment potential to provide total logistics networks. In order to compete effectively, high load factors will be essential and port concentration inevitable. A fa-voured few ports will become the load centres and other ports will assume a secondary feeder role. In this study, three questions are raised and attempts are made to answer them : (a) what is the new role of ports today ; (b) why should ports be engaged in this new role ; and (c) how can ports play this new role. In short, a modern port should be a service centre and a logistic platform for international trade and transport-a third generation port. Ports, in particular, have to make every effort to be competitive in the cost and quality of services and to make the port a transport and distribution service centre. For most ports, this is not an option but a must ; an essential requirement for survival in this win or lose situation. The best way to win is to maintain a close contact with port users, listen to them, discuss with them, help them and satisfy them. That is port marketing. Starting from the findings of port marketing, it is es-sential to work out appropriate development plans and marketing targets and to improve port competitive-ness. As an alternative method, a port competitiveness model is suggested, which may help port managers to make appropriate improvements.

  • Enterprises utilize software development strategically within digital convergence of information technology. Software development direction of IT takes advantage of new technology through integration of across-the-board data and business process standardization and integration. But, software development environment of enterprises which globalization is accelerated gradually is doing cost-cutting effort with controls and administration about various reform activity. Nevertheless, have not normalized in customer's requirement according to project, there is visual point that excessive software development integration work and administration are necessary according as connection is not harmonious with new system. Therefore, in this study, to construct these real-time integration environment, do to propose database implementation that have productivity by deent,ing N-Tiers platform for building enterprise framework with development productivity presentation, middle(business) and data(EIS) tier that take advantage of MVC design pattern.

  • Mobile banking is a subset of electronic banking which underlies not only the determinants of the banking business but also the special conditions of mobile commerce. Nowadays wireless networks are being evolved and diversified. In this situation The wireless e-commerce is in the limelight on new profits of Carriers. Especially from current year when Carriers in domestic plans to provide the services using 2.5G networks the service providers choose wireless e-commerce as the main parts of wireless internet strategy and will provide a various of services. Because of this situation, the importance of mobile billing service is being emphasized. This paper searches the definition and service types of mobile banking, and suggests status and prospects of domestic mobile banking. We suggest the basic direction, the stage of development and functions of services by analyzing the cases of Nonghyup's. Finally we derive the critical factors from those and suggest the effect of introduction and the direction of development. From the customer perspective, mobile banking has many strengths. For example, it allows that all customers access banking service at anytime, anywhere more easily than telephone banking or pc banking. And it reduces the time and the effort for using the service. It enables the company to make a business against global customers. On the other hand, from the company perspective, it has a lot of potential that affect market share and reduce the costs of human and material resources which used to operate and support branches. However, it needs many efforts to reach at the stage of completion. And We will have to solve the problems that develop many contents, expend the range of services and raise the service convenience.

  • This study is a case study for in-house developed Record Maintenance and Management (RMMS) which is a digital data storage/retrieval system in a GIS-enabled solution. RMMS is designed for reorganizing submitted architectural drawings associated with scanned drawings files & geodatabase, managing metadata/table and geometric features in ArcSDE/Enterprise geodatabase format. The birth of the RMMS was borne out of a necessity for a modernized approach in digital file basis to provide improved customer services for various architectural drawings and associated with geo-spatial and its attribute information. Through a case study for building permit & review practice implemented on an internet-based Electronic Architectural administration Information System (EAIS) at the local governments in Korea, this study is able to derive differences between GIS-enabled RMMS system implemented in the Richmond City and internet-based EAIS system implemented in the local government in Korea. In an effort to be the most effective, it presents meaningful ways of maximizing efficiency in record maintenance & management system derived from the case studies that looked into in ways of a method in RMMS' operation, implementation on GIS platform, mutual interface among various programs with various digital files and finally technical supports and system development /upgrade.

  • This study was conducted by the customer survey of 15 to 65 years old in order to identify the user behavioral effects of perception and characteristics on the common essential applications of smartphones with the United Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Value-based Acceptance Model (VAM). As a result, it was found that performance expectancy, enjoyment, facilitating conditions, effort expectancy, and social influences, excluding information privacy concern, have a positive effect on use behavior. The moderating effect by age was found that the youth was higher between perceived value and behavioral intention, and the middle-aged was higher between enjoyment and perceived value. This study has significance in providing implications for establishing strategies on designing and pre-loading apps, and increasing usage rate.

Relationship between TQM Performance and Organizational Culture of Dietitians in Institutional Foodservice (단체급식소 영양사의 종합적 품질경영(TQM) 수행과 조직문화와의 관계 규명에 관한 연구)

  • This study was designed to investigate the correlation between perceived TQM performance and organizational culture of dietitians. The objective of the study is to help the management of foodservice by providing a direction which will elevate perceived TQM performance of dietitians and presenting plans which will ensure effective dietitians. Questionnaires handed out to 308 dietitians worked in institutional foodservice operation including elementary, middle and high schools, hospitals, business and industries. In terms of TQM importance and performance, the more important dietitians perceived, the higher their performance level rose. Data form the IPA, external and internal customer satisfaction, executive ability, communication system and technology, information technology and application ability, food process, strategy, and leadership were required further improvement by dietitians. Of present organizational culture model, human relations model and open systems model were more likely to be adopted by dietitians in middle and high schools. According to the type of foodservice management, the open systems model was more preferred by dietitians from self-operated operations rather than respondents from contracted operations. Canonical correlation analysis between TQM performance and organizational culture showed canonical correlation to be higher (canonical correlations coefficient: .66). In conclusion, TQM performance-organizational culture showed higher canonical correlation. In the organizational culture, foodservice operation is capable of improving the aims for the rational goal model and the open systems model. The results showed that TQM performance and organizational culture had significant relationship, especially positive organizational culture emphasizing on internal process and rational goal model would have influence on TQM performance of dietitians. Foodservice operation, however, should recognize importance of open and development culture to improve dietitians' TQM performance. To apply open system foodservice organization should encourage dietitian and foodservice employees to challenge and compete for the works, Moreover, organizational effort such as information exchange program and support system should be established.

  • For as to world, the concern about the environment problem is enhanced than any other time in the past because of being 21 century. And the environment problem is highlighted as the world-wide issue. The time of the environment problem intimidates the alive of the mankind and presence of an earth over the time. It becomes the essentiality not being selection in the personal living or the economical viewpoint now to prepare for the climatic modification. As to the company management, the green growth period which it excludes the environment management considering an environment, cannot carry on the company the continued management comes. That is, in the change center of the management paradigm, there is the environment management. Nearly, the greenhouse gas which the publication industry is the environmental toxic material like all industries is generated. The greenhouse gas is ejected in the process of running the manufacturing process and print shop of the various kinds material used as the raw material of the book. Particularly, the tree felling for getting the material of the paper is known to reach the direct influence on the global warming. This study does according to an object it considers and organizes the environment parameter based on this kind of fact as to the publication industry. And it is determined as the reference which is used as the basic materials preparing the case that carbon exhaust right transaction(CAP and TRADE) drawing are enforced in all industries and is sustainable the management of the publication industry and reduces the environmental risk among the company many risk management elements and plans and enforces the publication related policy that there is a value. In the printing publication industry, this study tried to inquire into elements discharging the environmental pollutant or the greenhouse gas. Additionally, in the printed publication production process, it tried to inquire into the effort for an environment-friendly and necessity at the printing paper and the printers ink, regarded as the element discharging the greenhouse gas all kinds of the printing materials, operation of the print shop and all kinds of the machines and recycle process, and etc. These considerations make these industrial field employees aware of the significance about a conservation and environmental protection. They try to give a help in the subsequent study producing quantitatively each environmental parameter emission of green house gas. This makes the calculation of the relative $CO_2$ output reproached ultimately possible. Meanwhile, in a sense, many research protects and improving an environment in connection with the contents of research at the printing publication industrial field is in progress. There will be the voluntary human face that it has to protect an environment but this can not do by the outside factor according to all kinds of environment related law and regulation. Anyway, because of acting on company management as the factor of oppression, the increase of this environment-related correspondence cost could know that the research that the environment loading relates with a procurement and development, environment management system introduction, quality control standard, including, normalizing including a material, and etc. through the part of the effort to reduce the cost low was actively in progress. As to the green growth era, as follows, this paper prescribed the subject and alternative of the print publication industry. It is surrounded by the firstly new digital environment and the generation of the subject. And secondly the printing industry is caused by the point of time when the green growth leaves by the topic which is largest in the global industry and it increases. The printing publication industry has to prepare the bridgehead for the environment-friendly green growth as the alternative for this resolution with first. The support blown in each industry becomes the obligation not being selection. Prestek in which the print publishing was exposed to spend many energies and which is known as the practice of the sustainable print publishing insisted that it mentioned importance of the green printing through the white pages in 2008 and a company had to be the green growth comprised through the environment-friendly activity. The core management for the sustainable printing publication industry presented from Presstack white pages is compacted to 4 words that it is a remove, reduce, recover, and recycle. Second, positively the digital printing(POD) system should be utilized. Annual Analysis on Quality Attributes and Customer Satisfaction in School Foodservice (연차별 학교급식 품질 속성 및 전반적인 만족도 분석)

  • The school foodservice was quantitatively extended by policy of government all the while. There was carried out the survey of customer satisfaction about school foodservice by the ministry of education, science, and technology since 2006 years. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to grasp an improvement of the scores of school foodservice' quality attributes and satisfaction as compared with the preceding year by respondents and school type (elementary school, middle school, and high school). An annual survey was practiced to respondents (students, parents, and faculty) on september 2007 years and 2008 years in 16 cities and provinces. The statistics was analyzed to descriptive analysis and t-test for SPSS 12.0. The scores of school foodservice' quality attributes and overall customer satisfaction were almost increased to students, parents, and faculty and especially, big elevation in middle school. There was big increased the quality attributes such as 'providing information on foodservice', 'pleasant foodservice environment', 'kindness offered by employee' in elementary school, middle school, and high school to total respondents. An overall satisfaction in school foodservice was improved from 69.2 score to 71.9 score. On students, scores of overall satisfaction was increased from 72.9 to 74.0 as students of elementary school and from 61.5 to 65.8 as students of middle school (p < .001). Therefore, for improvement and development of school foodservice, there should be a necessary for an operator of school foodservice and an office of education to make an effort.
