Subspace Projection-Based Clustering and Temporal ACRs Mining on MapReduce for Direct Marketing Service

  • A reliable analysis of consumer preference from a large amount of purchase data acquired in real time and an accurate customer characterization technique are essential for successful direct marketing campaigns. In this study, an optimal segmentation of post office customers in Korea is performed using a subspace projection-based clustering method to generate an accurate customer characterization from a high-dimensional census dataset. Moreover, a traditional temporal mining method is extended to an algorithm using the MapReduce framework for a consumer preference analysis. The experimental results show that it is possible to use parallel mining through a MapReduce-based algorithm and that the execution time of the algorithm is faster than that of a traditional method.

  • Various inventory control theories have tried to modelling and analyzing supply chains by using quantitative methods and characterization of optimal control policies. However, despite of various efforts in this research filed, the existing models cannot afford to be applied to the realistic problems. The most unrealistic assumption for these models is customer demand. Most of previous researches assume that the customer demand is stationary with a known distribution, whereas, in reality, the customer demand is not known a priori and changes over time. In this paper, we propose a reinforcement learning based adaptive echelon base-stock inventory control policy for a multi-stage, serial supply chain with non-stationary customer demand under the service level constraint. Using various simulation experiments, we prove that the proposed inventory control policy can meet the target service level quite well under various experimental environments.

원격교육 서비스요인이 고객만족과 고객충성도에 미치는 영향: 취업 준비생을 중심으로 (Effect of Service Factors in Distance Education on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty Impacts: Focusing on Employment Opportunities)

  • 원격교육에서 서비스품질은 고객만족과 고객충성도를 높이기 위해 중요한 부분이다. 하지만 이제까지 원격교육 서비스품질에 대한 효과성을 검증함에 있어서 원격교육 서비스품질에 대한 단편적인 효과중심으로 연구되었고 구체적인 대상에 대하여 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 선행연구와 차별적으로 취업 준비생들을 대상으로 원격교육 서비스요인이 고객만족도과 고객충성도에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증분석 하였다. 2019년 3월부터 설문조사를 실시하였고 원격교육을 경험한 취업 준비생 258개의 표본을 실증분석에 활용하였다. 분석결과 유형성, 문제해결, 상호작용성, 정보제공성, 편리성은 고객만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤고, 만족도은 고객충성도에 정(+)의 유의미한 영향을 미쳤고, 만족도의 매개효과 검증에서 유형성, 문제해결, 상호작용성, 정보제공성, 편리성과 고객충성도 사이에 정(+)의 영향을 미친 것으로 분석되었다. 이에 본 연구의 시사점은 4차 산업혁명시대에 교육과 ICT(정보통신기술)가 융합된 에듀테크 관련 교육기업의 서비스품질 요인이 고객만족과 충성도에 미치는 실질적인 연구를 함으로써 교육기업의 창업과 마케팅 과정에 있어서 창업가와 마케팅 담당자들에게 기업의 원격교육 서비스품질이 고객만족과 고객충성도에 직간접적인 영향을 미친다는 시사점을 도출 할 수 있었다. 또한 서비스품질의 중요성 검증과 다양한 효과에 대한 평가를 취업교육 영역뿐만 아니라 다른 영역에도 다각도로 추가 연구가 필요하겠다.

A Study on the Isodose Distribution in a Vascular Characterization Room

  • As applications of radiation grow wider from use in the early detection of lesions and preventive diagnosis purposes to the treatment of diseases, the possibilities for patients and working professionals to be exposed to radiation are becoming greater than ever. This can not only directly bring about an increase in patient's individual radiation exposure, but also brings about an increase in the annual radiation dose of working professionals. Therefore, research and countermeasures to reduce radiation dosage are required. In this study, space dosimetry has been divided into two separate measuments with an understanding of the increasing number of angiography procedures: front perspective and side perspective. According to the results of the isodose curve, a way to minimize radiation exposure in working professionals has been suggested. This was made possible by workers through awareness of suitable working positions.

인형의상의 문화적 고찰과 디자인 개발 연구 (A Study on the Contemplation and Design Development of Doll's Costume)

  • Dolls which were recognized as children's toys are recently also recognized as one of the cultural products of adult's hobby. Thus this research is about dolls' fashion and the possibility of their industrial expansion. Moreover, the object of the research is to develop and manufacture high quality fashion doll products in Korea which are mostly imported from foreign countries. The research studied the origin and the path of the development of fashion dolls with the history of clothing and special books for dolls. By organizing the character and the fashion of dolls' costumes, the research has a meaning for not only to make an academic approach of dolls' costumes which was insufficient in Korea but also to provide useful information to toy enterprises. The conclusion of this research is as followed. First, dolls have a lot of possibilities to be developed as a high value added cultural product industry by emerging from their children's toy image. Second, since costumes of dolls also have a trend, it is necessary to develop products with the trend to satisfy customer's willing. Third, organization of both the books about the dolls' costumes and the information for their DIY is urgently needed for the domestic fashion doll manias. Forth, the necessity to scheme the expansion of fancy industry has been raise by using dolls' characterization and fashion. Fifth, the researcher who has researched the above necessities has manufactured 8 pieces of dolls' costumes and provided the actual solutions to the each point of the discussions. In sum, I suggest expanding the scope of both research subject and product manufacturing of the research results and also recommend for further researches to develop the products which consumers want.

자동차 BSR 소음특성과 음질 인덱스 개발 (Development of Sound Quality Index with Characterization of BSR Noise in a Vehicle)

  • Among the various elements affecting a customer's evaluation of automobile quality, buzz, squeak and rattle (BSR) are considered to be major factors. In most vehicle manufacturers, the BSR problems are solved by find-fix method with the vehicle road test, mainly due to various excitation sources, complex generation mechanism and subjective response. The aim of this paper is to develop the integrated experimental method to systematically tackle the BSR problems in early stage of the vehicle development cycle by resolving these difficulties. To achieve this aim, the developed experimental method ought to include the following requirements: to find and fix the BSR problem for modules instead of a full vehicle in order to tackle the problem in the early stage of the vehicle development cycle; to develop the exciter system including the zig and road-input-signal reproducing algorithm; to automatically localize the source region of BSR; to develop sound quality index that can be used to assess the subjective responses to BSR. Also, the BSR sound quality indexes based on the Zwicker's sound quality parameters using a multiple regression analysis. The four sound metrics from Zwicker's sound quality parameter are computed for the signals recorded for eight BSR noise source regions localized by using the acoustic-field visualized results. Then, the jury test of BSR noise are performed for participants. On a basis of the computed sound metrics and jury test result, sound quality index is developed to represent the harsh of BSR noise. It is expected that the developed BSR detection system and sound quality indexes can be used to reduce the automotive interior BSR noise in terms of subjective levels as well as objective levels.

자동차 내장재용 고분자 재료의 필드 열화에 따른 마찰소음 특성변화 (Observation and Characterization of Squeak Noises of Polymeric Materials for Automotive Interior Parts Under Field-Degradation)

  • In this work, the effect of field-degradation of automotive polymeric interior parts on the squeak characteristics was studied for a number of used vehicles with various mileages and years of service. The purpose of this study was to characterize the squeak noise related with long-term degradation in service life. The characteristics of field-degraded polymeric samples are analyzed using Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Complicated carbonyl spectra from FT-IR were deconvoluted into various carbonyls to trace field-degradation phenomenon. In addition, various mechanical tests, i.e. tensile test, hardness test as well as coefficient of friction test, were performed to analyze the variation in mechanical properties due to field-degradation. Squeak noise was measured and analyzed by frequency analysis. It was shown that the changes in the chemical structures of polymer due to field-degradation influenced the variation in mechanical properties, and squeak noise may worsen by increasing the squeak noise level in the wide frequency range. The results indicated that customer complaints regarding the squeak noise coming from used vehicles might be one of the important reliability issues because the increase in sound pressure level especially in the high frequency range could annoy drivers and passengers.

Safeguarding Korean Export Trade through Social Media-Driven Risk Identification and Characterization

  • Purpose - Korean exports account for a vast proportion of Korean GDP, and large volumes of Korean products are sold in the United States. Identifying and characterizing actual and potential product hazards related to Korean products is critical to safeguard Korean export trade, as severe quality issues can impair Korea's reputation and reduce global consumer confidence in Korean products. In this study, we develop country-of-origin-based product risk analysis methods for social media with a specific focus on Korean-labeled products, for the purpose of safeguarding Korean export trade. Design/methodology - We employed two social media datasets containing consumer-generated product reviews. Sentiment analysis is a popular text mining technique used to quantify the type and amount of emotion that is expressed in the text. It is a useful tool for gathering customer opinions regarding products. Findings - We document and discuss the specific potential risks found in Korean-labeled products and explain their implications for safeguarding Korean export trade. Finally, we analyze the false positive matches that arise from the established dictionaries that were used for risk discovery and utilize these classification errors to suggest opportunities for the future refinement of the associated automated text analytic methods. Originality/value - Various studies have used online feedback from social media to analyze product defects. However, none of them links their findings to trade promotion and the protection of a specific country's exports. Therefore, it is important to fill this research gap, which could help to safeguard export trade in Korea.

지역 전통시장 활성화를 위한 지능형 시스템 구축 제언 (Suggestions for establishing a smart system to revitalize the local traditional market)

  • 인공지능, 빅데이터 등 디지털 기술의 촉발로 인한 4차 산업혁명의 도래는 사회, 문화, 산업 등에 많은 변화를 일으켰다. 하지만, 각 지역의 전통시장은 새로운 유통환경과 소비자 변화에 신속하게 대응하지 못하고 있다. 특히, 제주지역 전통시장의 경우 제주 방문 관광객 대상의 마케팅 전략 등 지역적 특성을 살리지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 제주 지역적 특성을 고려한 빅데이터 및 인공지능 기반의 스마트 전통시장 구축에 대해 제언하고자 한다. 연구 내용으로는 방문자 빅데이터 분석을 통한 고객 프로파일링, 트래픽 분석을 통한 관광객 동선 결과제공, 실시간 인기 제품 차트 제공, 영상기반 화재 및 범죄 예방 기능 개발 등이 있다.

고전압 β-산화갈륨(β-Ga2O3) 전력 MOSFETs (High Voltage β-Ga2O3 Power Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors)

  • This report constitutes the first demonstration in Korea of single-crystal lateral gallium oxide ($Ga_2O_3$) as a metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect-transistor (MOSFET), with a breakdown voltage in excess of 480 V. A Si-doped channel layer was grown on a Fe-doped semi-insulating ${\beta}-Ga_2O_3$ (010) substrate by molecular beam epitaxy. The single-crystal substrate was grown by the edge-defined film-fed growth method and wafered to a size of $10{\times}15mm^2$. Although we fabricated several types of power devices using the same process, we only report the characterization of a finger-type MOSFET with a gate length ($L_g$) of $2{\mu}m$ and a gate-drain spacing ($L_{gd}$) of $5{\mu}m$. The MOSFET showed a favorable drain current modulation according to the gate voltage swing. A complete drain current pinch-off feature was also obtained for $V_{gs}<-6V$, and the three-terminal off-state breakdown voltage was over 482 V in a $L_{gd}=5{\mu}m$ device measured in Fluorinert ambient at $V_{gs}=-10V$. A low drain leakage current of 4.7 nA at the off-state led to a high on/off drain current ratio of approximately $5.3{\times}10^5$. These device characteristics indicate the promising potential of $Ga_2O_3$-based electrical devices for next-generation high-power device applications, such as electrical autonomous vehicles, railroads, photovoltaics, renewable energy, and industry.
