To explore electrophysiological properties of the ${\delta}-Opioid$ receptors artificially expressed in the mammalian cell, effect of an opioid agonist DPDPE $(1\;{\mu}M)$ on the voltage-sensitive outward currents was examined in the HEK293 (human embryonic kidney) cells transfected with ${\delta}-Opioid$ receptor cDNA cloned from NG-108-15 $(neuroblastoma\;{\times}\;glioma\;hybrid)$ cDNA library. Also studied were effects of 8-bromo-cyclic AMP and naloxone on DPDPE-induced changes in the voltage sensitive outward current. The voltage sensitive outward currents were recorded using perforated patch technique at room temperature. In the non-transformed HEK293 cells, DPDPE did not alter voltage sensitive outward current, indicating that no native ${\delta}-Opioid$ receptor had been developed. However, $(1\;{\mu}M)$ DPDPE remarkably increased the voltage sensitive outward current in the transformed HEK293 cells. The increment in voltage sensitive outward current peaked in $7{\sim}10\;minutes$ after DPDPE application, and the maximum DPDPE-activated outward current $(313.1{\pm}12.3\;pA)$ was recorded when the membrane potential was depolarized to +70mv. Following pretreatment of the transformed HEK293 cells with 1 mM 8-bromo-cyclic AMP, DPDPE failed to increase the voltage sensitive outward currents. On the other hand, naloxone completely abolished DPDPE-activated voltage sensitive outward current in the transformed HEK293 cells. The results of present study suggest that in the transformed HEK293 cells an activation of the ${\delta}-Opioid$ receptors by an opioid agonist DPDPE increases the voltage-sensitive potassium current as a result of decrement in cyclic AMP level.
As one of the countermeasures to solve the increase of the fault current in a power system, the superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) has been noticed together with the development of a various types of SFCL, which has accelerated the researches to apply a SFCL into a power system. Among the developed SFCLs, the transformer type SFCL is expected to be available for adjusting the voltage and the current ratings of the SFCL. In this paper, the fault current limiting and the bus line‘s voltage sag suppressing effect by the transformer type SFCL were investigated and the case without the transformer type SFCL was compared as well. Through the analysis on the results of the short-circuit tests, the fault current limiting and the bus-line voltage suppressing characteristics of the transformer type SFCL could be confirmed to be effectively performed.
In this paper, we analyze experimental results by applying the PHILS model to a lab-scale superconducting current limiter system for its actual application in medium-voltage direct current (MVDC) systems. Superconducting current limiters exhibit effective current-limiting performance in circuit breaker operations, particularly in limiting large fault currents within a short period, addressing the challenges posed by the increasing use of renewable energy and the integration of DC medium-voltage distribution systems. The development of such superconducting current limiters faces various technical and cost disadvantages, especially when applying a medium-voltage 35kV level system, which is intended for future introduction. The proven lab-scale superconducting current limiter system and the PHILS model are combined and integrated into the actual system. Our plan involves analyzing the limiter's performance, assessing its impact on the system, and preparing for its application in future medium-voltage systems. Utilizing RTDS, a simulation was conducted by connecting actual scaled-down equipment and systems, with the analysis results presented.
In this study, the steel material for shipbuilding(LR-A class) was used, and FCAW was taken advantage of 3G attitude and they are welded by different welding ways. As a result of analyzing wave with welding monitoring system, the stable values are obtained which are the first floor(electronic current 164~182 A, voltage 24 V), the second floor(electronic current 174~190 A, voltage 22~25 V), the third floor(electronic current 158~188 A, voltage 22~25 V), and fourth floor(electronic current 172~184 A, voltage 22~25 V), at this time, the stable wave standard deviation and changing coefficient could be obtained. When the welding testing through nondestructive inspection was analyzed know defect of welding, there was no defect of welding in A, D, E, but some porosities in B, and slag conclusion near the surface in C, because the length of arc was not accurate, and the electronic current and voltage was not stable. After observing the change of heat affect zone through micro testing, each organization of floor formed as Grain Refinement, so welding part was fine, the distance of heat affect zone is getting wider up to change the values of the electronic current and voltage. As a result of degree of hardness testing, the hardness orders were the heat affect zone(HAZ), Welding Zone(WZ), and Base Metal(BM). When the distribution of degree of hardness is observed. B is the highest degree of hardness The reason why heat effect zone is higher than welding zone and base metal, welding zone is boiled over melting point($1539^{\circ}C$) and it starts to melt after the result of analysis through metal microscope, so we can know that delicate tissue is created at the welding zone. Therefore, in order to get the optimal conditions of the welding, the proper current of the welding and voltage is needed. Furthermore the precise work of welding is required.
As the increasing of Non-linear load, we have been growing interest for the harmonics. Harmonics has been focused on the current component rather than voltages. Voltage harmonics can be mainly generated at the PCC with non-linear load and act on voltage unbalance. Voltage harmonics can be enlarged at the capacitor with low impedance as frequency increases. Capacitor is basically used for the power-factor compensation and sometimes as the passive filter. Small voltage of low-order acts on quite a few at the capacitor by the current increase. Capacitor has easily fall under by harmonic components. In this paper, we measured the magnitude and phase angle of asymmetrical voltage with harmonics components at the PCC and calculated with the same condition. we concluded that voltage harmonics of higher order increase each current component but have a little effect on capacitor rating.
This paper presents an integrative control scheme for series-type active power filters combined with shunt passive filters not only to compensate for the source voltage unbalance and current harmonics but also to correct the power factor. To reduce the power capacity of the active filters, passive filters are connected in parallel. Diode rectifiers are replaced by the PWM converters in order to feed the real power back to the source. Power factor control is performed by changing the phase of the load voltage so that the phase of the source current coincides with that of the source voltage. The resultant voltage reference is the addition of the voltage component compensating for the source voltage unbalance and harmonic currents and the voltage component correcting the power factor. The validity of the proposed algorithm has been verified by experimental results.
This paper presents a discrete-time version of voltage and current limited operation using an enhanced direct torque and flux control method for interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drives. A command voltage vector for airgap torque and stator flux regulation can be uniquely determined by the finite-settling-step direct torque and flux control (FSS-DTFC) algorithm under physical constraints. The proposed command voltage vector trajectories can be developed to achieve the maximum inverter voltage utilization for the discrete-time current limit (DTCL)-based FSS-DTFC. The algorithm can produce adequate results over a number of the potential secondary upsets found in the steady-state current limit (SSCL)-based DTFC. The fast changes in the torque and stator flux linkage improve the dynamic responses significantly over a wide constant-power operating region. The control strategy was evaluated on a 900W IPMSM in both simulations and experiments.
A reliable fault phase selection algorithm plays a very important role in transmission line protection, Particularly in Extra High Voltage (EHV) networks. The conventional fault phase selection algorithm used the phase difference between positive and negative sequence current excluding load current. But, it is difficult to pick out only fault current since we can not know when a fault occurs and select the fault phase in weak-infeed conditions that dominate zero-sequence current in phase current. The proposed algorithm can select the accurately fault phase using the sum of unit vectors which are calculated by positive-sequence voltage and negative-sequence voltage.
This paper presents a new voltage/current mixed method for driving synchronous rectifiers (SR) adapted to the flyback topology. The synchronous rectifier driven by the proposed voltage/current mixed method can operate at a wide load range with high efficiency. The gate voltage of MOSFET in the synchronous rectifier can be easily controlled by changing the ratio of resistors, irrespective of a line and load fluctuation. A 200W (12V/17A) prototype converter was built and an efficiency of 93% was measured at 10A load current.
