The Electrical and Optical Properties of Polymer Light Emitting Diode with ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/Al Structure at Various Concentration of MEH-PPV (ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/Al 구조에서 MEH-PPV 농도에 따른 유기발광다이오드의 전기$\cdot$광학적 특성)

  • In this report, Polymer light emitting diodes (PLEDs) with an ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/Al structure were prepared by spin coating method on the glass substrate patterned ITO (indium tin oxide), using PEDOT:PSS(poly(3,4=ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfolnate)) as the hole transfer material and MEH-PPV(poly(2-methoxy-5-(2-ethyhexoxy)-1,4-phenylenvinylene)) having a different concentration (0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.5 wt$\%$) as the emitting material. The electrical and optical properties of the prepared PLED samples were investigated. The good electrical and optical properties were observed for the PLED samples with a MEH-PPV concentration ranging from 0.5 to $0.9 wt\%$. However, the current and luminance values for PLED sample with $1.5 wt\%$ of MEH-PPV decreased greatly. The maximum luminance and light efficiency for the PLEDs with concentration of $0.5 wt\%$ MEH-PPV were $409 cd/m^2$ and 4.90 Im/W at 9 V, respectively. The emission spectrums were found to be $560{\~}585 nm$ in wavelength showing orange color.

  • Now many sustitution and false articles is used in korea instead of heshouwu. To use heshouwu correctly, we will make a quilitative certificational plan of heshouwu to investigate all of lieraturea, records and documents. And we could reach conclusions as folloews. 1) Source of plant Heshouwu is a root tuber of a perennial herb Polygonum multiflorum Thunberg(Family : Polygonaceae). 2) Harvest After planting 3-5 yaers, harvesting in an autumn, washin clean the mud, a big heshouwu cut off a half or section, dry in sunny place or at a little fire. When harvesting, we harvest only a big thing, a small thing transfer a field, after culturing of 1-2 years, harvest at big roots. Harvesting is done usually in an autumn after 3 years. When collecting a seed, we must harvest a heshouwu the next year. 3) Process We must process heshouwu at the decoction of black beans, heshouwu suck in the decoction of black beans, heat with steam in an iron pot. Black beans is used every 100 kg of heshouwu. 4) Quility (1) Funstional standards It is good that weight is heavy and outer skin is yellow-brown, section surface is light red color, powdery and has a figure such as clouds in section. (2) Physicochemical standards Heshouwu expesses a various chang of components in process of working. We think that it need to add a standard of detection about 2,3,5,4'-tetrahrdroxystilbene-2-O-${\beta}$ -D-glucoside in a current authentic document which is a water-soluble component of heshouwu. It must that Dry on loss is less than 14.0%, content of ash is less than 5.0%, Content of acid-nonsoluble ash is less than 1.5%, Content of extract is more than 17.0%. A fixed quantity of 2,3,5,4'-tetrahrdroxystilbene-2-O-${\beta}$ -D-glucoside is more than 1.0%. Contens of heavy metal has to detect less than 30 ppm and there is no reminding agriculural medince.

The Analysis of Students' Attitude toward Uniform Transformation of Female Highschool Students (대구시 여고생의 교복변형에 대한 태도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to satisfy students in adolescent trends of school uniforms and to provide them with useful material with matching current fashions by analyzing the attitude of students toward uniform transformation in female highschool students and investigating factors influencing on behaviors of uniform transformation. The subjects of this study are 30 students in Daegu with the basic ways of investigating such as depth interview and survey. The results are as follows; First, students agree to wearing school uniforms. As the main reason for wearing school uniforms, students put emphasis on peer pressure. It is also analyzed that the figure of students' body have some influence on the attitude of students toward wearing uniform while students' appearance have no influence on the attitude of students toward wearing uniform. Second, students showed high satisfaction in school uniforms. While students are satisfied with design and color of school uniform, they are not satisfied with practicality, economic efficiency and the quality of textile. Third, the study shows most students have experience of uniform transformation as a result of depth interview about actual condition of uniform transformation. Whereas students usually wear the jacket with its width and length shortened, they tend to lengthen skirt and unstitch pleat of skirt. Fourth, there are many reasons for uniform transformation as a result of depth interview with students. Transformation for satisfying aesthetic desire tops the list, followed by transformation for matching, transformation for peer pressure. As shown by the results above, every school needs to make various efforts to satisfy students, teachers and parents by considering and using students' opinion in order to choose the better school uniforms. In addition, the study related to school uniform transformation need to have more various investigating ways to acquire more authentic results such as expanding the subjects to not only students but also teachers and parents and in-depth comparison between subjects.

Analysis of Explanations and Examples of the Brønsted-Lowry Model Presented in Chemistry Textbooks Developed by 2009 Revised Curriculum (2009 개정교육과정의 화학교과서에 제시된 Brønsted-Lowry 모델에 관한 설명과 예시의 문제점 분석)

  • In this study, we analyzed the explanations and examples of Brønsted-Lowry model in Chemistry I and Chemistry II textbooks of the 2009 revised curriculum. In particular, the definition of the Brønsted-Lowry model, the examples, and the content of experiments were analyzed by the process perspective of chemical equilibrium, emergent process. The analyzed textbooks were 4 kinds of Chemistry I textbooks and 4 kinds of Chemistry II textbooks in 2009 revision curriculum. As a result, Chemical I textbooks did not adequately show the chemical equilibrium viewpoint when explaining the Brønsted-Lowry model. In the Chemistry II textbooks, the examples of Brønsted-Lowry model were not present emergent process viewpoint, and those were described as sequential viewpoint of Arrhenius model. In addition, examples of experiments to demonstrate the Brønsted-Lowry model of Chemistry II textbooks were insufficient. The experimental examples related to the definition of acid bases were at the level of classification by the color change of indicators. The experimental examples for explaining the strength of acid and base were to compare current intensity or amount of hydrogen gas generated from the reaction with metal. In addition, all textbooks presented the state of aqueous solution when describing the Brønsted-Lowry model, causing problems with differentiation from the Arrhenius model. Therefore, it is necessary to develop examples of experiments to help students understand Brønsted-Lowry model by presenting acid and base reaction in the non-aqueous solution state.

Effects of combined acetic acid and UV-C irradiation treatment on the microbial growth and the quality of sedum during its storage (Acetic acid와 UV-C 병합처리가 돌나물의 저장 중 미생물 성장과 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • With the current consumer trend toward health and wellbeing, the demand for consumption of fresh cut vegetables has been increasing. As a popular vegetable with functional components, sedum (Sedum sarmentosum) is widely used in Korea as a side dish that needs no cooking. In this study, to provide a hurdle technology for postharvest sedum, the effects of combined treatment of 1% acetic acid for washing and $10kJ/m^2$ UV-C irradiation on the microbial growth and quality of sedum were examined. After the treatment, the sedum samples were stored at $10^{\circ}C$ for six days, and the results of their microbial analysis as well as their color, vitamin C content, and antioxidant activity were analyzed. The combined treatment with acetic acid and UV-C irradiation reduced the initial populations of the total aerobic bacteria and the yeast and molds in the sedum by 3.28 and 4.22 log CFU/g, respectively, compared to those in the control. The Hunter L, a, and b values of the sedum did not significantly differ across the treatments. In addition, the vitamin C content and the antioxidant activity decreased significantly during the storage, regardless of the treatment. These results suggest that the combined treatment with 1% acetic acid and $10kJ/m^2$ UV-C irradiation can be useful as a hurdle technology for retaining the microbiological safety and quality of sedum during its storage.

Current Status and Recent Subjects of Rice Products Development in Korea (국내 쌀 가공식품의 개발현황과 당면과제)

  • Rice production in Korea began to rise significantly after 1970. Rice is the dominant food in Korea and most of the rice production (about 95%) is consumed as cooked rice. it provides over 4,000Kj of energy per capita per day. Apparent rice availability in 2000, 93.6Kg of milled rice per person annually. The non-allergenic character of rice offers a sound basis for development of products for markets for all age groups. Whole grains are washed rice, coated rice, enriched rice in Korea. Utilization of rice as food can be categorized three categories in Korea; direct food use, processed foods, and brewing. Rice for direct consumption include regular whole grain, precooked rice, brown rice and specialty products such as aseptic cooked rice, retort cooked rice and rice burger. Rice used for processed foods includes that for cereal, soup, baby food, snack, cake, noodle, brown rice tea, and minor unclassified uses. Rice use for brewing is for the production of fermented rice wine. The use of rice for direct food is by for the greatest of the three uses. Although direct food accounts for the largest domestic consumption, a significant quantity of rice is used in processed products. The use of rice by-products as human food should not be over looked. Utilization of by products(rice germ, rice bran) requires a specialized technology. Typical type of rice is black rice. When cooked, black rice gives a black color to cooked rice. Glutinous rice performs specific functions in several commercial products such as dessert, gravis, cake and snack. Rice starch production is quite limited because of the high cost of making of starch. Rice processed products in Korea are occupied small parts of total rice production compared to Japan. Rice cake (Garadog) is the principal from of rice product consumed in Korea. Rice cake and snack is usually prepared from non-glutinous milled by washing, grinding, steaming, cooling and packaging. Rice cake will be continued to be a major rice product in Korea. Rice products represent a means to study variety differences in rice grain quality, since the processing magnifies differences not normally detected from more boiling. Recently, rice processing companies in Korea are about 400 ones which uses rice about 160,000tons. New rice processed products and modified traditional products must be developed and diversified with high quality and processing properties of rice processed products are improved.

Tendency of Well-Being in Hair Styles (헤어스타일의 웰빙 경향)

  • The purpose of this study was to review the origin and background of well-being, the emerging well-being culture, and the phenomenon and features of the hair beauty affected by it. For this purpose, the researcher reviewed dissertations written between 199a and 2002, copies of the beauty journal Short Hair published between 2002 and 2003, beauty newspapers published between March, 2003 and June, 2004, and relevant Internet sites. When we review the well-being hair style tendency, we may be reminded of a light shaggy cut style with a thick wave volume or a natural wave highlighted, or a natural style with a natural color rendered by the braid technique. The well-being hair styles may be inspired by such natural images as the earth, sand, rock, wind, feather and flowers, while using cut, permanent wave or coloring technique for the hairs, in order to create new hair styles. The goal is to make men in contact with the nature. Meanwhile, as people are more concerned about diverse hair textures, natural and healthy hairs, they want their hairs to look comfortable and active rather than luxurious. The well-being cut styles may be categorized into cut style highlighting healthy hairs with a Bobos luxury and soft and light stroke cut reminiscent of a Bohemian freedom. The well-being permanent style may be divided into thick wave, natural wave, and the permanent style using a strong wave to make hairs look bloated. The hair colors reminding us of some natural images are used to highlight a well-being image. In addition, the concept of well-being pursuing a happy and healthy life has been being introduced into the permanent wave material liquids; such liquids made from natural materials, fruits or herbs increase, while environmental-friendly liquids or materials are used more for healthy hairs. The reason why the well-being culture influences hair styles importantly may be that people's desire of healthy body and mind and a comfortable life is reflected in hair styles. In conclusion, as the hair styles or an index for a new cultural current in our modern age are influenced by the well-being phenomenon, more and more people will put priority on healthy hairs. So, it is deemed necessary to apply the well-being hair styles appropriately to render satisfactory hair styles.

Natural Dyeing of Rayon Fabric using Loess (황토를 이용한 인견직물의 천연염색)

  • This study dyed rayon fabric using loess as a natural colorant. To obtain the optimal dyeing conditions, various dyeing conditions were examined (temperature, pH, time, and concentration). The color fastness was evaluated using standard washing and rubbing fastness tests. The results were as follows: The loess powder particle size ranged from 0.4 to $1.7{\mu}m$ with a distribution range of 1.1 to $1.4{\mu}m$, representing a fine and uniform manufactured loess powder. The loess component analysis showed a large amount of silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide. TheFT-IR spectra showed that the ammonium group in the rayon fabric produced N-H banding at $1,540cm^{-1}$. The highest K/S value for the rayon fabric was obtained when the pH was 8.0, and this value increased rapidly with a longer dyeing time and when increasing the loess concentration to 30% (w/v). Pre-treatment with a soybean solution produced the highest K/S value for the rayon fabric with a loess concentration of 30% (w/v). The SEM analysis showed a higher amount of loess adhered to the rayon fabric surface when increasing the loess concentration. However, pre-treatment with a cationic agent and soybean solution resulted in a much higher attachment of loess to the fabric surface. Thus, the experimental results showed that using a cationized fabric and pre-treatment with a soybean solution are more effective when dyeing rayon fabric with loess than when using only loess.

Analysis of Attribute Importance-Performance of Korean Apples for Southeast Asian Consumers (동남아시아 소비자들의 한국산 사과 속성에 대한 중요도-만족도 분석)

  • Since the Korean apple industry needs to expand its export market in Southeast Asia, this study investigates the attributes of Korean apples affecting consumer preference in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Based on an Importance-Preference analysis, the results are summarized as follows. First, price is the most important determinant for purchasing Korean apples by Southeast Asian consumers, except in Malaysia. Second, managing the intrinsic(sweetness and chewing texture) and extrinsic(surface and color) factors needs to be well maintained. Third, the priority of the marketing factor(wrapping) should be lowered. Fourth, while the importance of extrinsic factors(shape and size) is low, satisfaction is high, so these factors need to be managed to avoid overkill. Overall, Korean apples should have their own merits with an appropriate proper price, while maintaining a high quality. The results of this paper may provide suitable strategies for promoting apple exports to Southeast Asia.

Isolation and Physiological Characteristics of Rhizobia with Good Nitrogen Fixation Ability (우량질소고정균(優良窒素固定菌)의 탐색분리(探索分離) 및 생리적(生理的) 특성(特性))

  • This experiment was conducted to search for Rhizobia with good nitrogen fixation abilities and to investigate their physiological characteristics isolated from 12 soybean cultivars and the affinities of root nodule bacteria with soybeans. The results obtained were as follows; Based on colors, Rhizobia grown on YMA medium were divided into 3 groups, i. e., white, translucent and transparent, amounting to 60, 30 and 10%, respectively. In litmus milk reaction, the strains which produced alkali, acid serum, alkaline serum and acid reached to 51, 29, 9 and 11%, respectively. Strains, S022, and S096 were slow-growers and produced alkaili, while strains, S080, S-090, and S118 were fastgrowers and produced acid. The growth of root nodule bacteria on YMA medium was favorable between the initial pHs of 6.0~7.0. Glutamine, asparagine and al1antoin as nitrogen sources enhanced the growth of root nodule bacteria. All the strains tested formed nodules on the soybean roots, and the strains with good symbiotic nitrogen fixation abilities that had white color, small colony, nitrate reduction abilities and no nitrite reduction abilities showed comparatively high nitrogen fixing activities. Some strains varied in nitrogen fixing activities according to soybean cultivars, and a few strains fanned ineffective nodules which showed no nitrogen fixing activity.
